A cool store with a wide variety of cat-themed gifts and books. And yes, there are live cats here just chilling in 3 large cat areas. Like little cat apartments. They are lounging in chairs, up on window sills, or scratching on cat scratchers. They are the cutest things in the world and can be adopted right out of the store. Parking available on the street or in the small private lot to the left of the store. Bonus: Walk across the street and get some Gusto Bread or a book at Page Against The Machine when you're done.

Parking would be difficult as there's mostly street parking and hopefully there's a spot. You'll spot it easily with all the cool cat art. The inside is clean and well organized with loads of cat themed merch. They have a good selection of books, cat toys, art supplies, and household materials. The kittens are incredibly cute. They all have their own personalities. The staff are really nice and definitely care for the kittens. You'll have to sign in then disinfect your shoe bottoms and use hand sanitizer before interacting with them. And the cats seem happy. Cat fans should definitely visit here.

A fun local shop with a variety of cute and eclectic artisan goods (and a few commercial ones like blind boxes and mofusand; though I am not complainin). Love the collection, which was especially great for the more spunky cat lovers out there (or as gifts for them). Prices seemed typical and even decent since a small artsy card was about $5.50, and a tiny cat in a box digurine was $3. They partner with Tipped Ears cat rescue based in Compton, and they have kitties for adoption on the first Sunday of the month (though their site says you need to apply online, presumably before coming in). On a Sat, midday in the summer, there were a few people perusing the shop and about 4 cats hanging out in the enclosed areas. We also enjoyed stopping by Gusto Bread after our visit. Will probably return with fellow cat (and bread) lovers.

I absolutely love this place as a cat lover. You should definitely go here. I got so much cute stuff for myself and my cat.! the service was amazing and the best customer service goes to the cats, of course! Very good prices for them all being from small business!!

My favorite store ever. Literally EVER. If you're a cat connoisseur, feline fan, or keen about kitties, this is your store. They have cat-themed everything: art, comics, ceramics, pins & stickers, cat toys, and adoptable cats! It's like a little themed shoppy shop and it's so perfect. I originally found them on socials and wanted to drop in to scope out their art! They feature the most beautiful cat themed portraits from local artists. What I found was so much more and completely blew me away. There were endless adorable cat-themed knick-knacks to peruse from- nearly all from small businesses and local makers! It was so hard not to walk out of there with one of everything. At the back of the store, they have a little area where you can interact with adoptable cats (after you sign a waiver and clean off your shoes). So many cutie patooties! At check-out, the person working the counter (who I believe is an owner), could name every single artist I bought a piece from. Absolutely adore how committed they are in spotlighting local artists. They really care. Beyond just cats and cute cat goodies, they also host community events. These range from craft nights to cat-centered workshops. How cool is this? I will probably never be able to stop singing their praises, so I'll leave you with one last note. 20% of their profits go towards funding cat rescues, TNR groups, and other cat nonprofits. Boom. Go support.

I saw this spot on TikTok and I knew I needed to visit when I was in the Long Beach area. Street parking wasn't too hard to find and the store was much bigger than I expected! So much cat merch, cat toys (I got my kitty some pretty potent silvervine here and he loves it!), and yes, there are also actual cats you can hang out with. I signed the waiver, which was no problem, and ventured into the cat enclosure, housing lots of rambunctious little kitties waiting to be adopted. They ran around and played and were slow to warm up to me, but before long, they played fetch with me and chased some toys. Believe me, I was tempted to bring one home but my kitty is an only child. A must-visit for cat lovers and owners!

LOVE this space! Art for sale on walls, plenty of cat toys for sale, & pretty much anything cat themed. The girl working was super friendly. The best part is that it's also a space for rescued cats that are up for adoption. Glad we stopped in today. I love everything they're doing here. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for existing. This shop has everything the cat lover in your life is looking for. It even has cats!!! The kittens were an available for adoption through stray cat alliance. The cats seemed healthy and well-cared for. I'll definitely return here every chance I get!

Unique and fun books for sale.

Cool Cat Collective is one of the most awesome cat-themed stores I've ever been to! Not only do they promote cat adoption in their beautiful indoor cat enclosure, but they literally have something for every cat and cat lover you know. From a thoughtfully curated selection of high quality items for your cat -- scratchers, catnip toys, brushes, collars, and even toothbrushes -- to beautiful artwork, pins, and books for you, you will have a hard time leaving here empty-handed. The space is large and welcoming, with original artwork adorning many of the walls. What also caught my eye upon entering was the enormous cat enclosure, with three adorable adoptable kittens inside. It is free to visit the cats, but there are a few rules. You must fill out a waiver, there is a 15 minute time limit if others are waiting, and you aren't allowed to pick up the cats. But you can pet and play with them as much as they want! After I had my kitten fix, I spotted a bunch of stuff my two kitties would enjoy. I've been a cat owner for decades, and CCC had for sale many of the best items that I've found over the years (after having spent way too much of my time looking for ways to entertain my fur babies). And for us humans, the selection is impressive, too. I look forward to my next visit to CCC -- to see the kitties and buy more things for my own cats, and for myself, too!

The place is very cute! Store has a lot of items to choose from and are fairly priced. The cats looked well cared for and I felt good about supporting this business. There is a small lot with linited parking otherwise street parking is also available. Great place for cat lovers! Staff was kind.

This place is new in Long Beach yet such a hit! The owners are so kind and truly care about all the cats they cater to! Very kind souls and such cool variety within the store. If you love cats, their selection is vast and the value is good too! They value their cats and ensure that everyone is given the chance and opportunity to be potentially fostered! They work alongside cat fostering companies to give loving homes to cats! This place holds so much value to the city of Long Beach and I am excited to see it flourish! If you sign a waiver and listen to their guidelines, you are able to play with the cats in their super cool handcrafted play area! Just seeing the interior was amazing!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Tons of cool cat merch and adorable adoptable cats! Calling all cool cats (4- and 2-legged)! There's an awesome new store in town that specializes in stuff for cats and the people who love them! There are cat toys, scratchers (the skateboard-shaped one is a hit in our household with our three cats!), and beds, but most of the merch is geared for people (clothing, art, books, stickers, plushies, various fun household items, etc). The best thing about this place, though, is that it has adoptable cats! They work with a local TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) group, Tipped Ears, to showcase adoptable cats/kittens. A part of all sales also goes toward this organization, so you're also helping cats while you shop. It's free to visit with the cats, but you must sign a waiver, use a hand sanitizer before going in, and let the kitties come to you. They limit the number of visitors to 3 at a time, and there is a 15 minute time limit if people are waiting. Even with three sweet cats at home, the hubby and I love coming in here for a quick kitten hit, lol. The very nice owners, Matt and Jena, have done an incredible job with the store, and I'm so glad they were able to open in my 'hood! If you're a cat lover, or need to get a gift for one, this is a must-visit.
