Parking can be a little struggle as it was pretty packed when we arrived. First off, right when I walked in I was greeted by the three amazing and very funny ladies. Especially the one behind the counter. She was a major hoot that we all got a laugh with. It makes the shopping experience way better. It's broken down into two different sides. The main being where there cashier is and the women's department. They also have a pretty massive selection with accessories, jewelry and shoes. Plus shoes were half off. The other section house more of the home wares stuff, trinkets, glassware, furniture, babies and men's. There were loads of dish ware. Its nice to see that the place was very neat and organized which is also a major plus when browsing through. Makes it more easy to pick something up without having to dig through piles. There's not a big selection for men and kids as it was mainly a little sections. But pretty extensive collection for chinas and crystals. Woman's had the entire section for clothing and accessories. The staff were all amazing and friendly. Such sweetheart and major dolls. Chatting with them was so fun. So yes, if you're a fan of anything and everything purple, this is worth a stop whether you're looking for purple solids, a splash of purple woven in fabrics, or just generally want to look around. I ended up buying a Hawaiian dress, with purple flowers of course, and loved looking around the rest of the store's purses and stuffed animals, clothes and accessories, and Seal Beach souvenirs. It's one of the most unique antique malls I've ever been to. According to the owner, it used to be a rainforest educational center for kids that was founded and run by disney employee, and became a antique mall almost 30 years ago. So, that's where the waterfalls and lake come from! You will find a lot of unique treasures here too. I only picked up a couple of small things, but I'm very picky...and running low on space haha! Plus, a friendly cat named Luna works here, what more could you ask for! Definitely a must to stop at if you are in or near Hawaiian Gardens!

I had the pleasure of her son taking care of me at their restaurant and he told me all about his moms other place (the pink romantic home) Her restaurant is - mother's kitchen and on the day I came in, her son was our lovely waiter. Unfortunately, the owner was not there. Her son said she splits her time between the restaurant and the pink home. Not to throw him under the bus and embarrass him (lol) but he was absolutely glowing while talking about his mom and how the restaurant really reflects her style (the restaurant looks just like the cottage) and how these are both of her passions and she's amazing at both of them. My room and living room are shabby chic and this color scheme. It's very very girly. I am not gonna lie, I am very very jealous of how beautiful her place is. While prices won't necessarily be inexpensive - those plush pom pom slippers may run you about $50 - it's the perfect boutique to find unique gifts for birthdays, bridesmaids, and best friends. The associates are jovial and help make the atmosphere inviting (with Ella Fitzgerald playing in the background, I could practically live here)! Long Beach Antiques recently moved into the old Joann's space on Los Coyotes Diagonal, and wouldn't…read moreyou know it - serendipitously, I dropped by for a visit the day that happened to be their grand opening at the new location! Ventilation is much better here compared to the warehouse from before, and they've taken care to add some fun murals throughout the store. It's possible they put the popcorn machine away for the event, but I'm hopeful the next time it'll be back by the entrance; it's a staple! My main critique with the former space was that much of the costume jewelry and trinkets were behind glass. Part of the fun of antiquing for me is being able to touch, feel, and engage with historical pieces - it seems like the new setting has solved for this. I found a fantastic tapestry finger purse from JR Miami 1950s-1960s for $20 (one of the ladies who works there told me she nearly bought it that morning) and a sweet $3 footed teacup I'll upcycle for my plant collection, I recognized some of the booths, so I'm glad they were able to move with LB Antiques. If your dog is well-behaved, they are also super dog-friendly here and your pooch will have a field day sniffing all the textiles and curios. My only remaining gripe - and it was a gripe when the space was still Joann's - is the parking can be gnarly getting into! as someone who is still mourning the loss of joanns fabric, but also loves antique stores, when i…read morewas driving past and saw a new store opened in place of my beloved fabric store i knew i had to go in and see what had become of her. i will say they definitely have a bit of everything and have really filled every inch of the space, i barely scratched the surface on my visit. i was also impressed with there collection of uranium products as i've never seen it in person before. this is about where the good part of the review ends for me. while i would say the sheer volume of definitely was a bit overwhelming and the actual product seemed like it caters to the neighborhood/ lakewood which is fitting, but also i might be scared i would find some questionable things while searching too deep in this store, but at the very least i would say i am not the target audience. additionally everything i picked up seemed to be pretty overpriced compared to other antique places in the area. as far as the actual experience goes, i would say subpar at best. when we walked in we made eye contact with the ladies working the front and said hello, but they just ignored us and looked away. a while later we were looking at an area near the front of the store and a worker was grabbing something from a door nearby and looked visibly annoyed like we were in her way but didn't say anything so it was just an unpleasant interaction. with all this considered, we decided to just leave and not get anything so i can't speak on what the checkout experience is like. overall i'm glad that i stopped in to see what's become of the place, but i can't say that ill be coming back. rest in paradise joaan's i miss you every day
