Fast HONEST service!…read more Our furnace started making noises as we came out of the -30F Polar Vortex. Since we had a good experience with a humidifier repair a while back, we decided to give Hampshire Heating and Cooling another call. They came out on Monday afternoon, and everything seemed to check out OK. Bob, the tech, said that sometimes these things could be intermittent, but that they would come back if the problem happened again. Today the furnace was making the noise again. I made a quick video and sent it to them. When my wife came home at about 3PM, the furnace was making a loud buzzing sound, but was not putting out any heat. I called Hampshire Heating again, and they had Bob call me back to say he'd be out around 5:30. Bob found the problem quickly; we needed a new blower motor. Fortunately he came prepared with the proper part. He finished the repair, and was able to get us up and running quickly. Since he'd been out the day before, there was no additional trip charge. The cost of the blower motor was actually a bit less than we expected. We are very pleased that they could come out quickly, and get the unit fixed so we did not have to go a night without heat. We will definitely use them for our future HVAC needs.

I trust every word from Nathan and Michael from Birdie, and immediately called them, asking how to relight, or if I should not even attempt due to hazard, danger... Without hesitation, once again, and without me even asking, he said I'll be there in a bit. Any other company i would not expect that, but these guys cover every base, and go above to make sure you're safe, and satisfied. They came out, and almost as in perfect timing, noticed an issue that was potentially dangerous, or could have become a disaster. They immediately fixed it, got the parts i needed and before i could blink they came back the next morning and had my heat restored immediately. Not only did they show up first thing, they were actually concerned about our safety, and took all the necessary, and, overly unnecessary (it an absolutely positive way) steps to make sure we were back in working condition... This is our 3,4,5th, i actually lost count, time with them coming to our aid, and saving us. I have already recommended them, i tell my friends and family do not go anywhere else, and as far as we're concerned we found our lifetime HVAC company, and will never go anywhere else. I mean how hard is it to quote out an April Aire Humidifier? How hard is it to evaluate a thermostat? I'm sure if I was a private paying customer I would be treated much differently. Very disappointing all the way around. Since I've moved into this house I've had issues with low humidity, frost, static electricity, and excessive dust. I've had dry eyes, dry skin, and other health issues.

He also contacted Lennar and ComEd on behalf of our community to see what caused the problem. Our whole neighborhood thanks him and wants him to be recognized for coming out in the cold in the early early morning hours and helping more than 15 families have heat in their homes.
