Stopped in today to have some brunch with a good friend of mine. Everything was a 10/10. Our server had the best energy and vibe. She was knowledgeable of the menu and provided us with great recommendations.

    Breakfast Sunrise Bowl - min

The breakfast bowls are pretty cool and feel like a healthy option, which I liked. They're a good choice if you want something lighter but still filling. The chocolate chip pancake is really good and definitely a highlight--soft, flavorful, and satisfying. I also tried the horchata matcha, which was good and unique. The matcha orange drink was okay, but not sweet, so it may not be for everyone depending on your taste. Overall, it's a nice spot with a mix of healthier options and some indulgent treats, and I'd come back to try more items.

This is a great place for a typical (or not so typical) breakfast. They have your standard bacon-and-eggs type of entrees, but they also a lot of Peruvian dishes (and NY-style deli sandwiches.

    Porkchop (not on the menu).

As usual, they continue to improve their menu. Their chaufa flavoring has better after taste now. And they're trying this porkchop, it has no name yet but is very flavorful, meat is tender. I recommended that they add this on the menu. Hopefully they'll add this so that everyone can enjoy. Service is a little slow when they're busy due to being small business and but man, the food is worth the wait. This is place is so chill hence we have been a repeat customer here.

I had previously been past this restaurant but never went in. The other day, I saw a tiktok saying they had horchata latte. I immediately knew I had to stop by. I was in the area and decided to give the latte a try. The location is really nice, gives homey vibes. The horchata latte was delicious. I don't know if they make their horchata in house, but I loved it. Although it was cold outside, I still ordered it iced. I have tried horchata lattes at other cafes/restaurants in Indy and never thought they actually tasted like horchata but this really did. While waiting for our drinks, we looked at the menu and everything on the there sounded incredibly delicious. I plan on going back to try the food!!

I always drive past and see it super busy, so I was excited we went during a slower time. Very welcoming spot--we were greeted immediately when we walked in. I ordered a chai tea latte (assuming it was with whole milk), and my fiancé got a strawberry smoothie. The chai was good! The smoothie, unfortunately, was very watery, but it tasted super fresh, so it was still easy to drink. I got the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon--VERY GOOD! My fiancé had the breakfast tacos (eggs, sausage, and bacon), which she really enjoyed and even wanted to come back the next day Family owned!

This is a great brunch spot. Surprised it was no busier than it was. Good French toast and everything else at a reasonable price. Sliced strawberry garnish on the plate gets a fifth star from me. A great and simple way to know the chef really cares.

So good! I was meeting a coaching client in Broad Ripple and they suggested Dad's Kitchen. I am so glad that she did. It's a small restaurant with one person working in the front. She was fantastic! The service was great! The food was fantastic too! I almost tried a Peruvian dish. But, went with tacos which were really good! You can tell they take great pride and care. I already plan to go back next week and take some friends!

We love Dads kitchen. The pancakes have a slight citrus taste. I wonder if they use oj in the batter. The bacon is crispy and good. Service is always spot on. Since they've taken out the display case they have more room for tables. Parking can be a pain , but it is in Bripple.

The food was phenomenal, and the service was very attentive as well! The space was intimate but the noise level was not unbearable because of this. Highly recommend it!

Don't miss the horchata or lomo saltado! Yes, they serve wonderful American breakfast and lunch options, but don't miss the special Mexican and Peruvian treats on the menu. I've only found two other spots in Indy that serve lomo saltado and it's truly one of my favorite dishes. It literally means salted steak and is kind of like a delicious stir fry with onions, tomatoes, French fries, white rice, and a delicious, herby, mild sauce. Loved! I booked a table for six people on their website for 9am on a Saturday. I thought we'd be the only ones there that early in Broad Ripple. Nope! I walked in and there were two other big groups, making the place almost full. I was impressed! The owners were really nice and were hustling hard. My friends enjoyed their breakfast burritos and bagels, but they all went "ooooh" when the lomo saltado came out. It was a showstopper for sure. And yes, I did (and you can) order the lomo saltado steak dish early in the morning. Hah! We also got the steak tostoricos, which were fried green plantains, topped with guacamole, pico de gallo & bacon bits. Those were great too and are fun to share with the table. Their bowls looked delicious and fresh, so I want to try those next time. Thank you, Dad's Kitchen!

Cute little spot in Broad Ripple. They use their space very judiciously. It is a small spot but cute. The atmosphere is really nice. Only complaint is it was very cold today and the door doesn't stay shut. The service was wonderful. We had a really good waitress who gave us some good ideas. She was very attentive and then the owner came over and checked on us, and she was very helpful with information about different dishes. It was a really good experience. We started off with guacamole and chips. The guacamole was very fresh, but could've used some lime. The chips were really good and I'm not sure if they were homemade, but they tasted fresh. The salsa that came alongside. It tasted a lot like a kind. I usually have at home, but it was still good. My daughter had traditional brunch fair and had the French toast platter so she had delicious French toast with two over medium eggs that she did have to send back to get re-cooked but they were wonderful about it. She didn't really like the ham that came with it because it was , the kind of ham that goes on your sandwich, but other than that she enjoyed her meal. I went the more adventurous route, and tried the Lomo Saltado which consists of rice and french fries with a mixture of beef with sliced tomatoes and onions over the top with a delicious gravy. The beef has lean pieces and a few with more fat on it, but I enjoyed that. My daughter likes more lean cuts. My only "complaint" is that I wish there was more gravy or salsa. That is not a complaint; however, because it was a delicious meal. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely go there again. Oh, I forgot to mention that they have delicious homemade Horchata and wonderful coffee drinks.

Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. A hole in the wall befitting the area, all was neat amd clean. The lomo was tasty. I will stop in again soon to try their breakfast.

The staff seemed a bit rundown and slap happy - not really attentive to the bar where I sat. I waited a bit long before I was greeted with a menu, waited awhile with an empty glass, waited with my food pushed away before it was cleared. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.

We were greeted right away and looked over the menu a bit before ordering. My husband ordered the country breakfast with chicken (definitely the way to go) and I ordered the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon. We each got a cup for water and I ordered a coffee, excited because I saw ahead of going that it was self-serve (like at Cafe Patachou where I can get as many coffees as I like without having to wait for our server to come check on us first). However, the self serve coffee excitement was short-lived after seeing that they only offered half and half as creamer (I'm lactose intolerant) and the two coffee carafes were not labeled for what was inside (decaf? medium roast? you'll never know!) and then one was completely empty and never refilled during our visit. The water station also was not ever refilled during our visit, so we were not able to get refills after filling up our cups the first time. It took a couple of tries to find a table we could sit at because you seat yourself, but several had not been cleaned after other guests left and had food and drinks spilled on them. There were definitely enough staff members there to be able to clean them in between customers, so we weren't sure why they were left that way. We ended up sitting in the middle of the room towards the front, across from the clown art wall, which made for interesting conversation as we looked through everything. When the food came out I was impressed with the portions, but I had no flavor whatsoever to my cheesy jalepeno grits. The egg and bacon were good, but not enough to make it a good dish and I would not order it again. And I love savory breakfast and grits in general, so it was a real bummer. My husband's dish was worth the visit though. It was a huge portion size and we honestly would just split it if we came back and ordered it. It was so savory, seasoned perfectly, and juicy. One of the best breakfast dishes I have tried recently! I really debated between 3-4 stars for this, but my dish was a flop, the lack of cleanliness for the seating area, the lackluster self-serve coffee station, and not refilling the beverages ultimately scored a 3 star review for me. I would come back and try something else though, or split the country chicken breakfast because it was really good. Hopefully next time the beverages won't be empty!
