Had a hankering for a solid Mexican breakfast and wasn't disappointed! Quaint little restaurant in NE Indy. Enjoyed a poblano burrito that was flavorful but not overly spicy. The beans & rice complemented the dish. Plenty of coffee is served. Overall, quite pleased and would return!

The food was delicious and the service was really quick and pleasant. My eggs were perfect and the sauce was amazing, not overwhelming just flavorful. Usually when Oi I eat Mexican, my husband's favorite, It lays heavy on my stomach this was filling but light. .

Eggs were overcooked, pancakes were burnt, biscuit was tough, ham was very salty. It was very busy and there was only one server, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with three stars, but I won't be back.

Went in person yesterday and had the chilaquiles with my father. They were to die for. Texture-wise, incredibly flaky and crunchy tortilla chips and both the chorizo and salsa roja were bursting with flavor. Overall a 10/10 dish and probably the best chilaquiles in Indy. Got Uber eats this morning because I was hungover and needed a boost, but the food was simply not good. I'll start with the somewhat good, the mixed fruit was a great value item, filled with all the fruit you'd want, and none of those orange and green blocks everyone ignores. But the entrees were quite bad. The Chimichanga Ds was absolutely flavorless. And I'm not exaggerating, the eggs, sausage, and tortilla had no flavor whatsoever. It's almost like they forgot to season it at all. And the tortilla, which you'd expect to be fried up and flaky for a chimichanga, was soft and mushy. Then the Quesadilla Poblana that my girlfriend had was equally lacking in flavor. Not only that, but it lacked CHEESE. The one thing that makes a quesadilla what it is - there was no cheese in it. I was hoping the side of cheese sauce (queso) could've made up for these abysmal dishes but it just wasn't enough. I don't like leaving negative reviews but there's clearly a lack of effort going into their delivery items, so I would caution against getting it on Uber eats, doordash, etc. Go in person, it's amazing, everyone's nice, the service is fast, and I can confirm that they season their food when they can see your face.

I ordered pancakes just as a test run to see how good the breakfast is. The pancakes ... well they are really weird. The faste okay - but I only had one. Not the best. Needs work. What are the stabbings? I don't know.

Mexican and American choices. We wanted to go with a authentic Mexican burritos. Delicious and table service was excellent. Prices very reasonable. Highly recommended. Ambiance a plus with the Mexican music.

Chef D's for Breakfast today. My husband got the biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns and bacon. I got the Breakfast Burrito-MX option. All the food was great and flavorful. 10/10 Can't wait to come back and try more Mexican specialties.

A little mom-and-pop eatery tucked into a strip mall. American & Mexican cuisine. Open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. It's a small place with a somewhat limited seating area. The food was good and reasonably priced. Friendly and attentive staff.

I will cut some slack on the service, however - I arrives after what seems to have been a very atypical rush of Journey fans who inundated the place before heading to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The staff seemed a bit rundown and slap happy - not really attentive to the bar where I sat. I waited a bit long before I was greeted with a menu, waited awhile with an empty glass, waited with my food pushed away before it was cleared. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.

We arrived to the restaurant around ten minutes prior to our reservation, and quickly sat. We walk to a table- a booth that normally houses two tables pushed together, with around two inches between tables. We were practically sitting on top of the other two individuals sitting at the table. Forgot conversation- we heard everything they said, they heard everything we said, might as well have been on a double date. They weren't short of two top tables either- there were at least two, two top tables that sat empty our entire dining experience. Our server was on it throughout the night. The food was good to okay. We started with bread service. One piece of my bread was cold, and the other was warm. The honey miso butter was maybe a highlight of the whole meal. I started with a kale Caesar salad. Nice crunch to it, and an appropriate amount of dressing. My wife and I split two meals. The first- Coq Au Vin Pot pie. The meat was flavorful- but man, there is a lot of pastry when compared to meat. We got the braised short ribs. I wouldn't call the short ribs, short ribs- it was more of like a pot roast taste and consistency. There was a decent flavor, but nothing overtly amazing. Our cocktails were strong, but nothing to write home about. Overall, wouldn't be my first stop for a restaurant downtown, but if I was invited by someone else, I would most likely try it again.

We were greeted right away and looked over the menu a bit before ordering. My husband ordered the country breakfast with chicken (definitely the way to go) and I ordered the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon. We each got a cup for water and I ordered a coffee, excited because I saw ahead of going that it was self-serve (like at Cafe Patachou where I can get as many coffees as I like without having to wait for our server to come check on us first). However, the self serve coffee excitement was short-lived after seeing that they only offered half and half as creamer (I'm lactose intolerant) and the two coffee carafes were not labeled for what was inside (decaf? medium roast? you'll never know!) and then one was completely empty and never refilled during our visit. The water station also was not ever refilled during our visit, so we were not able to get refills after filling up our cups the first time. It took a couple of tries to find a table we could sit at because you seat yourself, but several had not been cleaned after other guests left and had food and drinks spilled on them. There were definitely enough staff members there to be able to clean them in between customers, so we weren't sure why they were left that way. We ended up sitting in the middle of the room towards the front, across from the clown art wall, which made for interesting conversation as we looked through everything. When the food came out I was impressed with the portions, but I had no flavor whatsoever to my cheesy jalepeno grits. The egg and bacon were good, but not enough to make it a good dish and I would not order it again. And I love savory breakfast and grits in general, so it was a real bummer. My husband's dish was worth the visit though. It was a huge portion size and we honestly would just split it if we came back and ordered it. It was so savory, seasoned perfectly, and juicy. One of the best breakfast dishes I have tried recently! I really debated between 3-4 stars for this, but my dish was a flop, the lack of cleanliness for the seating area, the lackluster self-serve coffee station, and not refilling the beverages ultimately scored a 3 star review for me. I would come back and try something else though, or split the country chicken breakfast because it was really good. Hopefully next time the beverages won't be empty!
