This was first of 3 bids I'm getting for a super simple walk in shower 36 by 36in. That's it! After an hour and a half of the lady pressuring me by starting super high a lowering it as if she's being nice. 17k first bid came down to 9k, at which I said I'll still be getting the 2 other bids. She used every (bad saleswomen) trick. Until I said no! Ill wait for my 2 other bids. At which her reply was "well I guess your just not a DaBella client" at which point I asked what do you mean by that? She made another snide comment and I asked her to leave immediately. She didn't leave any bid not any info. Mind you she knew I was a retired engineer. She was very pushy and rude on occasion. She kept talking about the great ratings, sure, but only on places for customers who they got to agree to leave good reviews. She said that to me. If I'm willing to give good review I get a discount. As an engineer of 60yrs in age I've always enjoyed when salesmen come over. Until today, she seems to have never been told no in her life. And did not leave any info behind. Had some reps to this company out the other day. I made the mistake of filling out the Instagram window ad and this was one of 30+ companies that called me. 2 reps showed up and were very nice, but salesmen through and through. Tell you the truth I was not that into the sales strategy. I like it when the representative comes in, looks at the job, gives you a ballpark price and leaves. This was not the case here. These people were in my house for 3 hours to look at 2 windows. Even though I was dealing with a toddler and trying to work around the nap schedule, making this abundantly clear seemed to be artificially acknowledged. They have to look at the windows, then present a slide show about where the company originated, how it's moving across America and expanding, the reviews, the warranty (which is a good one), and more. It's daunting to say the least. They continuously say "we value your time" but that isn't the case. They value the sale. It was also very clear from the get go that they would not leave without a contract. And they did a very good job of this. I made my financial situation very clear as well as my time table, and they again, acknowledged in an artificial way. I did end up signing, I do think I got a decent price, and the products they have are solid. But after talk with my wife we cancelled the next day. You have 72 hours to cancel and we did it in 15. But that still didn't come easy. I called the rep who told me his manager would call me to work something out. I had to make it very clear that we were cancelling and it still didn't work. Had to call customer service to cancel. So I believe I'm cancelled. They haven't charged my card for the deposit. But I was also told that they would call and confirm and that didn't happen yet. read more

Filling out a form online for some bathroom remodel quotes. These guys responded and the 90 minute selling session began. I am not sure why the word 'free quote' means selling and more selling when all I wanted was a quote. These guys don't do their own work. They hire contractors. That was a turnoff for me. I could arrange to have other stuff done through the contractor only and no warranty. Estimate started at $16k and lowered it to 12k to buy me. DaBella is terrible. I told them I had quotes from WindowWorld (since they both use the same windows) and DaBella simply hung up on me. These companies all use the same windows. What you're paying for is their markup and installation. Many of these window and roof companies just hire the cheapest subcontractors and everything else is profit. The windows themselves are roughly $600 each; everything else on your total bill is installation and profit. Note that they pay the installers roughly $100 per window... so you can do the math. read more

I'm very upset. This company has lied to me several times since I signed their contract in October 2019. Poor quality installation, leaking roof, thousands of nails and old shingles left in my yard, and I have no confidence that their management will ever deliver on their promises. The damage to my wood siding and decks from throwing the old shingles and nails is extensive. They acknowledged that normally this wouldn't happen. Their manager who came to visit after the job was complete told me that the installation crew is expected to put down tarps on the decks, and they should be careful throwing the shingles so they don't fly back into the siding and make gouges. But the crew on my job put hundreds of little gouges in my siding and deck. I will include pictures if I can. It's going to cost me $9,000 to repair siding and repaint. They refuse to do anything because the contract states they are not liable! Please don't do business with them. If you look at my Yelp reviews, you will see that normally I give very positive feedback. I'm not a person that berates a company. However, in this case, they absolutely deserve it. They are untrustworthy. They intentionally make misleading statements in order to manipulate people. They are the worst type of business which has the sales team make a pitch focused on "highest quality", but then time after time fail to deliver quality. They repeatedly ignore phone calls, emails, text messages, and even blocked my truck in my garage for 5 freaking days! As of July 20 (9 months later), they are still promising to remove a dangling strand of heat tape that they unhooked but did not remove as they told me they would. It is dangerous. For the past three weeks, they have scheduled a visit five times to remove it. But today it is still there. I'm beyond upset. They are simply horrible people to work with. Requested a rep to visit my shower remodel project - very simple remove bathtub and just make a shower - and stated their flyer quoted prices at $998 - don't send anyone who can't match that sales offer. Guy came out and proceeded with a sales pitch - resulting in a quote of over $20K - I told him why he would waste our time when I already TOLD the original rep price to be around $1,000 - we declined and then he remained IN OUR HOUSE stating he could NOT leave until he contacted his manager to prove he was in our home. He waited on the phone for over 5 minutes without talking to anyone and I asked him to leave. He said he HAD to contact his manager while in home or he would get fired. He finally started talking to someone - probably a shill closer speaking in a loud voice for me to hear - and I finally had to almost physically remove him. The sales pitch is great, a bit much, and like being at a car dealership, which is my worst nightmare, but they cover all the bases. However, the truth of the matter is, they quoted twice as much as any other company we had gotten quotes from. They quoted a hilarious $91+ for Hardie on a two story single family home that has no more than 2500 sq. ft. on the exterior. No joke... $91!!!!! Obviously, my immediate reaction was, NO! Then they got on the phone with their "boss" to ask how they could lower the price. Once off the lengthy apologetic phone call, they said they could do the job for between $50k to $70k... laugh. We immediately said no again, so then one of two guys said he'd have to call his boss again to let him know, so that his boss didn't think they were messing around, and to again ask to lower the price. I immediately felt like they were abusing my kindness and patience, so I told the guy on the phone that they needed to leave now, that we have things to do. They left, but moments later rang our doorbell to offer $55k, but only if we sign the contract right then and there. I kid you not! The cojones on these boys! She sat with us for over two hours as she explained the process and DeBella's products. She explained the value of a total roof system and all the related components versus just installing new shingles. I'm beyond frustrated with the sales tactics of this company. They came an hour early and then stayed for 4 hours. That's right....4 hours!!!! We work from home and can take a little extra time out of our day, but 4 hours is completely unreasonable. I started dropping hints after 2 hours that were completely ignored- I wish I had just been more direct and just told them to get out. We were starving by the time they left. To say that their tactics are sleazy and transparent is an understatement. Originally, I was quoted over $70k for my windows (which is way overpriced above the marked) and when we balked, somehow the price magically dropped to $55k. How the windows got $15k cheaper within 2 minutes shows how much buffer there is in their price. I flat out told them that I wasn't going to drop over 100k based off one conversation (which was the price for both windows and siding that we were quoted) and they started getting desperate. They made fake calls to their manager to tell me about pricing that was only available today and that I couldn't come to them later asking for that price. Bear in mind...one of the reps was a child who had never bought his own house and had no concept of what an investment siding and windows is. He was more than willing to spend over $100k of my money like it was no big deal. When he grows up and gets a place of his own, I bet he's going to feel real foolish for some of the things he said to me. Eventually I got them out of the house and finally back to work.... Until I hear a knock on my door 5 minutes later and the sales rep was back again!!! He quoted another number and said it was only good for today and don't call him later asking for that price. I told him it would be ludicrously stupid of me to drop 100k without serious consideration and that the answer for today was a resounding NO. High pressure and slick sales tactics. Extremely overpriced. No business is in business to break even or lose money - but this business is looking to make outrageous money off of the uninformed. None of it illegal, but consumers need to stay sharp. Be sure to read the contract closely before signing. Cancellation within the cancellation period is not made easy. Be sure to read the cancellation instructions carefully before signing. Get other bids - no matter what price they quote (they make sure to have a lot of room from the initial bid to the final quote if you negotiate - but you still end up paying twice what it would cost elsewhere). There are other reputable businesses in this space that don't employ the same tactics and have equally good products and installers. They give you the no-kidding best deal up front. Don't get drawn into the financing deal - or answer questions about your credit rating - financing is not a good deal and it doesn't make anything "more affordable". If you must finance - then talk to your own bank about that. Do your own finance shopping. Don't answer answer any questions along the line of equity in your home - that line of questioning is to get you to consider a home equity loan or refi - which if you are sitting on a low interest rate now - is a bad idea. And the equity in your home is no one else's business. Always remember, this is your money and your house. A business transaction - not a relationship. The upfront sales and sales managers are not your friends. Protect your interests. Do not hesitate to say no. read more

Josh V was extremely prompt, answered all our questions, & was very accommodating in helping us plan a remodel improvement to our bathroom that met our budget. Post install update: Installer Matt was outstanding. Post install we found a leak, he came back within 12 hours & fixed the issue. (wouldn't have been able to find the leak until shower was 1st used). Why the drop in review: Samples were sturdy, smooth. Actual material installed was thin overlayment installed over greenboard (ok, standard construction material), but was very rippled under the surface, looking akin to corrugated backing, not the smooth surface presented in the samples. Probably would've rated higher if samples were accurate to delivered product. read more

Sales pitch took over two hours! My appointment was scheduled for 6 or 7pm (can't remember but it was in the evening). I didn't expect them to be there past 9pm and missing dinner. I had to keep following up on when true measurements would be done. My installation had to be stopped due to no permit. At time of signing the contract I was told that installers worked for DaBella but the crew was actually subcontracted. I was told there would be an inspection but I haven't heard anything more about it. I was told they would come to check for cleanliness after installation but that hasn't happened. The wooden floor in my bedroom were scratched and still waiting to hear back on compensation. The tv in the bedroom was scratched. One screen was delivered incorrectly. I was unaware that I would have to paint the exterior trim. Painting trim on the second story windows will require me to find someone to do the work (I'm a single mom). Some windows turned out to be a few inches wider that my cellular window shade no longer fit (they are too small now). The quality seems to be good (definitely has improved the temperatures inside) but the service so far has been questionable. Many promises were made that have not been fulfilled to expectations. One of their door to door "salespeople" came by and suckered our renter into talking with them as they 'noticed you had some peeling paint on the outside of your house'. Cut to *two hours later*, after the salesperson literally would not leave the house, even when asked to, they delivered a 'great deal' in the form of a $51,000 estimate to replace every window and all siding. Do NOT use these people. They use predatory tactics and borderline illegal behavior to try and sucker you in. Almost had to call the cops because they wouldn't leave. Multiple others have posted almost the exact experience I had, so I'm sharing mine as well, just to reiterate how scummy this company is. They use high pressure sales tactics, and in my experience, are willing to lie directly to your face. Do your homework before working with these people - you could save yourself tens of thousands of dollars! This review is long, but I feel that the details are important to understand why you should stay away from these folks, and hopefully this will help people make a wise decision on whether or not to work with them. We asked Dabella to come to our home to give us a quote on siding (and possibly windows) on just one half of the house. They proceeded to wander around our entire home, inside and out, checking out every nook and cranny to find anything they could that was wrong. After their little tour, they unexpectedly told us that we needed an entire new roof, because whoever put our roof on "had no idea what they were doing" and did a terrible job. This was pretty shocking to us, because updating the roof was not at all on our radar, and we hadn't experienced any leaking or obvious issues related to the roof. BUT, we had recently purchased the home and did not know much about when the roof was last updated, and quite honestly are pretty naive to the ins and outs of roofing techniques, etc. so we trusted him and heard him out initially. We were kind of freaked out by this revelation that our roof was apparently about to cave in, so we listened to their advice and asked them to talk us through quotes for a new roof. They sat us down for their hilarious sales pitch, starting with why their company was so amazing and had such great values (lol), then proceeded to talk about why they're the greatest roofers in all the land. The pitch was dumb and over the top, but because I work in a sales organization, I understand that sometimes you just have to do the sales pitch even if it's corny... so I gave my full attention and entertained their shenanigans. After about an hour of the "we're the greatest company in the world" BS, they finally started talking numbers. The quote was in the range of $50-60K. My husband and I were in NO position to opt in to something like this without doing more homework and looking at our budget, so we politely told them "thanks for the quote but we can't make a decision on this today." And here's where things got fun!!! The main salesman started pushing us, saying that they had a special deal that expired today, so we had to decide today or we would lose out on a discount (I think 15-20%). Given the fact that we did not plan on buying a new roof or spending $50K, the discount was certainly enticing. We told him that was not possible, again, because we were adamant that we needed time to think through it. So then he said "let me call my manager to see what we can do for you", and at this point my red flag alerts are going off full blast. He proceeds to make a ridiculous phone call to his "manager", which was basically just a weird monologue of him talking about how we really love the product but can't make a decision today and he'd love to help us out bla bla bla. I was pretty sure no one was on the other line. While he was on the phone, since it was obvious BS, I got up and quickly looked up reviews on Dabella, and was horrified to read a review that was my EXACT experience. When he hung up with his "manager", I got pretty upset, knowing it was all just an act, and called him out for being too pushy and not respecting our need to do more homework and look at our budget. Instead of apologizing for his antics, he dug in deeper and raised his voice and got angry at me! I then told him he needed to leave, and pretty much had to kick them out of the house. They didn't leave without more of a fight though... he lingered and kept pressing for another 5-10 minutes, layering on more pushy sales tactics about why they should work with us. It was highly inappropriate. I was literally in tears because it was so stressful. Finally they left, and my husband and I immediately decided that we would never work with them, even if their quality of work was as great as they claimed it was. The next day, I had another (more local) roofing company come out to assess the roof. I did not give him any context, just told him that we had recently bought the home and wanted to have him check on the status of the roof. This guy, who by the way was a real sweetie, told me there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ROOF. So long story short: these jerks at Dabella lied and tried to swindle us into spending $50,000 we didn't have on a whole new roof we didn't need. Disgusting.
