For the duration of the project, I was able to stay in constant communication and was updated regularly. I appreciate that the owner of the business is actively engaged in all projects as well. I don't even want to give them a one. This is one of the worst companies I ever experienced. And to think they àe running million dollar ads on tv. I spoke to one of their sales people Brian, total jerk. Can't comprehend anything. Even when I was explicit with him with my order, he screwed it up. Then he tried to dodge me. I know because I called him back and he did not answer. When I called him from another number he answered. Gotcha. Then he referred me off to someone else. Be careful if you spend your money here. It is better off if you want to purchase anything products they have, purchase them through someone else. They appear to be pungant...like we make millions, why do we need to work with you. If you order from them, which I would never do, have them repeat everything back to you. They are idiots!! Remember, we the consumer make them successful. i had 1st choice replace all of the white builder grade grid windows in my home with beautiful black double pane frame windows with a light tint new heavy duty sliding glass door to match and a pretty frosted privacy glass on the main floor bath. I worked directly with Tom the owner who was fantastic. i asked a lot of questions and he got me all the answers. The pricing was very competitive and blew renewal, lifetime, champion and Marvin out of the water! they were patient, kind respectful and accommodating. Helen was amazing she is the office manager and my main contact during my project - she was wonderful and fun to work with and became a friend during the process. Tom stayed involved and accessible during the entire job and is very knowledgeable and kind. They are a family owned business with word of mouth advertising willingly provided photos and client references. I will use them for any future projects and highly Recommend using them For anyone looking for glass, windows, sliding glass doors and privacy glass windows! They may do fine work, but I really dislike their sales tactics. The quoting appointment for siding and windows took an hour and a half. Pressured us to sign without any other quotes saying they would give us 10k off. The rest of the 10k off deal required you to write stellar reviews before they had even done the job. Literally made me sign something acknowledging that I wouldn't be getting 10k off a future job as I didn't go with them right then and there. I really disliked the whole experience. However, since then I've contacted them at the number provided on the card one of them left, I've contacted them through Yelp, and they just don't reply. They did also say they could get the windows installed in about two weeks from the date I placed my order, and that was because--they said--they make everything in-house. We had a relatively small job of replacing the rotting paneling on the exterior of our sunroom. They came out in early April, dropped off panel samples, measured it, priced it and explained that the suppliers were crippling their operation because they no longer had a good inventory. Promised deliveries we're constantly being delayed to 1st Choice. They only promised that they would get on my project as soon as they received my panels and caulking. It was at least a month out at that time. As a former business owner myself, I understand you are only as good as your people, your product and your suppliers. Bottom line; their people did an excellent job. Their suppliers... not so great. It took two months for the supply chain to get it to them and another week-plus until the 5 man crew did the actual work in 6 hours. Professional and beautiful. I couldn't be happier. Managers showed up a couple weeks later to inspect the work, asked if we were pleased and collected final payment. They apologized for the long wait stating that pre-Covid, this was a 2 week turnaround. The crew also was frustrated as they were not working full time due to the product and labor shortages. The windows are great, but their customer service is absolutely terrible. While installing a large sliding door the screen ripped when the installers removed the label (which makes me question the quality of the screen). They said they had to order more material and would re-do the screen. It has now been 4 months and they still haven't fixed the screen door. I was planning on using them to replace other windows in the house, but they've definitely lost my business after this. read more

Scheduled a date/time with Helen to have a representative come to our home for an estimate. Chris arrived on time, and measured the sliding door opening. He told us about several options that we never knew existed for French Doors. We provided our personal information so he could find out if we qualified for financing. However, before he made the call to his finance department he insisted that we sign a contract. We told him that we weren't signing anything, and he got very angry, grabbed all of the paperwork, and left the house. I complained to Helen, and asked that they bring back our paperwork. I found 1st Choice Windows and Siding online and gave them a call due to all their high reviews. We had Chris out the next day to do a measurement for replacing our back door. We choose the Pro Via door, with glass. They are custom made with color options (inside and out), as well as window options. It takes sometime to get the new door as they are made back east. I am glad I waited as the door is great quality. Kelly did the door install and was professional and did a great job. You can tell the quality from how it opens and closes, feels like a nice solid seal. The window is great, keeps out the summer heat but lets in the light. read more

I made two mistakes with this company. I signed a contract before I checked out others and I made a down payment of half the cost. I started to realize on the third day that I shouldn't have done this. I sent a letter via email on the 4th day canceling the order. I contacted this company to give me an estimate for approximately 30 wood windows on a property we were buying. From a previous home inspection, it was noted that the windows were beginning to fail. When I called this company, I told the person the situation and scheduled the appointment for approximately a week later. On the Friday before, I received a confirmation call. On Monday, almost an hour AFTER they were supposed to arrive, I called and asked them if they were still coming. I was told "no." They don't do estimates for my situation. My question is why didn't you tell me this a week ago?!? Now, I had no time to schedule another company. The windows were our biggest concern on the property and the most expensive repair item. We intended to replace them after we closed. I have no problem with this company choosing not to do an estimate during the sale of a property. However, I have a HUGE problem that they scheduled it. Didn't show. Didn't call to let me know they weren't coming. Didn't give me the opportunity to schedule another company. They really screwed us. I'm not sure you can believe anything they say. Essentially, a year is too long to wait for new siding (though a busy year due to the hail storms), and I should have gone to 1st Choice directly in the first place. Great experiences with Great Escapes - Here's how it went down: We got the quote from Paul and selected Great Escapes to do the work; we put some money down and received a date (which was pretty far out because of all stuff going on in Denver right now - understandable); the morning they were due to install, I left a hide-a-key for the crew; I went to work; when I came home we had two new windows in the basement with almost no signs that anyone had even been in the basement. We had a couple minor details that needed to be fixed after the original install, and these were addressed within the week. What an easy experience! The quote was reasonable, comparable to others we got for the same work, and they were willing to work with us on some of the details of the labor to be performed. We had a successful experience with First Choice Siding. Each team member we worked with from beginning to end, provided all the information we needed while being very transparent and honest. The price was less than every competitor who we compared with AND 1st choice spent way more time going over the details and making sure we all understood what to expect vs these competitors who took maybe 10-30 minutes. Our previously pink 1968 rancher had all the siding, soffits, fascia, and gutters replaced and the house looks brand new. It's beautiful. The work seemed to go very quickly when they started. The teams were there from daylight to dusk and I only saw them working. I don't think they ever left or took a break! Everyone I dealt with who did the work was professional and courteous. They always went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had exactly what we wanted. Outstanding customer service. 1st Choice was a great choice for us. We didn't have any clue how to proceed with new siding as we've never done anything like this before. it was a big purchase for us. The whole process from start to finish couldn't have been easier. The most challenging part of the process was making a decision about what we wanted. I would have given five stars but my original quote increased several hundred dollars because apparently the window "wrap" was not included??? So I had the the option of paying more or having gaps on my window trim. That was quite disappointing...so be sure window trim is included in your price so you aren't up charged by the sales guy mid project. The crew's performancee was great.
