We did a full refurbish on our 1888 Victorian and up until now, we have been avoiding large subcontractors since in the past our experience was to overpay for low quality. We broke from this tradition to give Excel Roofing a shot and we are happy we did. Owen, our project manager, was attentive and diligent. The crew that was hired was incredible, fast, friendly, diligent, respectful, and top quality craftsman. Ivan and Victor are on a level of their own. Their knowledge, craftsmanship, and experience is unmatched. My family could not be happier with the process start to finish. read more

Not sure what to think of this company. I called for an estimate and set up a date/time. It happened to be raining that day so they guy called and asked to reschedule. Perfect, I did not want them to be unsafe and I was grateful that they took the initiative to call. We set up another date and time. It was perfect weather and the guy no-showed, wasting half a day. No call this time. read more

The project lead, Isaias, was AMAZING! He was very clear with his communication, he was present and always available for questions, he kept the project moving and did an amazing job coordinating with the insurance company! They replaced our roof 9 years ago and were very price competitive and responsive ! We had to replace it again due to crazy hail in 2020 and didn't use them simply because we had family involved and felt obligated to use family : wish we didn't and had used Excel again. Excel recently came out for a roof leak and showed how the water was flowing and draining into the garage : they showed me how to fix it and didn't even charge just asking that in the future we stick with them, which we will. So many lessons learned over the last 10 years. Highly recommend this company. read more

Excel replaced a roof in our home 12 years ago. All went well and service was excellent. We moved and got hit with another notorious Colorado hail storm that pounded us for 30 minutes. Calling our insurance agent, names were given to us to contact. We went back to Excel to get its input. High content, thorough, excellent communication and followup. I immediately referred to my neighbors. Three of us had them done. All pleased. Micah Lyons, our rep, routinely checked in with us. The team who did the work was efficient, cleaned up everything quickly and replaced what had to be moved on decks and porch and outside area. HIGHLY recommend. read more

Hi after a summer full of hail storms, I was wondering if I had roof damage. All of the Texas roofers and guys with sleeping bags in the bed of the truck would come by and say that I needed a new roof, so I was totally confused, having known that I've had friends that had excel roofing and were totally pleased with their honesty I called them and today Neil, V came out and inspected the roof. He found a couple of minor instances, but intact. The roof, what a relief as that roofers are always willing to take advantage of the elderly. I will tell everyone I know about the honesty of Excel roofing, and that they may not call anyone else but them Thank you again for a positive experience,in this seems to be negative world that we are living in Lou Florez read more

After weeks of delays regarding materials, work began immediately after shingles were delivered. Not only was I treated greatly by the Rep. John Williams, he tossed in a few extras like a ridge vented roof so, to avoid a cluster of roof turbine vents, and went as far as adding the same to the detached garage with an impact resistant roof class 4, adding additional value to my home. If you're looking for a roofing company that can handle more than just a roofing inspection, Excel is the company to go with. read more

Called Excel on referral from my insurance company based on the most recent hail storms. Office staff was super responsive and helpful and sent my information to Blake. Cannot recommend Blake enough. He called and set expectations with the length of time he would need to be out to my house but would come out earlier if possible. The door ringers have been incessant in my neighborhood and Blake was willing to run out and put a sign in the yard to hall stop those. But to my surprise was able to drop a sign the next day and take a look at my roof and didn't find any damage. Walked through the pictures and explained what he would have seen if there was damage. Can not say enough about Blake's knowledge and professionalism and helpful attitude. Will not ever call another company. Although I didn't need any work this time, you have made a very loyal customer going forward. Thank you!!!! read more

Just had the roof replaced by Excel after the spring hail storm. They did a very good job and in a timely manner. Kevin was great and kept communication thru the whole process. Fail! Fail! Do not use! Avoid! Disreputable and dishonest with poor quality work. I had a very bad experience with Excel Roofing and would recommend trying to find another roofer for your needs. Excel does not stand behind their product, their work, or their warrantee. Be very careful negotiating your roofing and get a guarantee or warranty in writing for however many years you believe this roof should last. My roof did not last one year. And they would not give me any compensation for their massive failure. They have cost me personally over $10,000. I am at this point trying to decide if a legal approach is what I should undertake-you should never get to this point with any company. I worked with their warranty manager Donald, and a gentleman named Dominic. Nothing was resolvable. Due to the fact that there was an active leak with water streaming down my interior walls whenever it rained, I had to act fast so I had to hire a general contractor to pull off the railing and deck and have the roof replaced by a reputable and good roofing company. And then the deck had to be put together. The project cost was a quadruple of the original. BEWARE And enjoy the lovely note from the owner below, almost 2 years later! Just to clarify: No one would call me back. No one would help me. When water is streaming down your home's interior, and no one calls you back to HELP fix a problem, you have to find an alternative. Fast! And shame on Excell for a 1 year roof warranty!!! Who does that? Caveat Emptor peeps, these are mean people who will screw you! read more

I had written a poor review last week due to many weeks of frustration BUT Excel Roofing contacted me immediately (Emily) and discussed the issues I was having with my roof and getting any follow-up from the company. Emily and her team were great in every regard and i regret giving a poor rating earlier. Many thanks to Excel and high recommendations for their work! Steve read more

We had SUCH a great experience getting our roof replaced with Excel Roofing! I know nothing about roofs and Brock Hayward and his team walked me through each step of the process including understanding the insurance end AND even helping me pick the perfect color shingle. I was a bit worried about having such a big project done, but Excel got the job done quickly without a single issue. Everyone from Excel was friendly and professional and Brock went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. The roof and gutters are beautiful and they are a world of difference with both the look and safety of our home. If you can't tell by now, I HIGHLY recommend Excel Roofing for a quick and professional roof replacement. read more

Excel has been a great pleasure to work with. Alex Martin was very knowledgeable and informative. He took the reins with dealing with the "wonderful" insurance adjusters after I just went around and around with them. Made my life so much easier! Crew worked super fast and clean! Excel Roofing gave us the worst experience we have ever had with any contractor. They are incompetent and the owner is non-responsive. They damaged our house when they were trying to install a ridge vent they up-sold us on by cutting every single layer of our cathedral ceiling - from the shingles all the way through the ceiling in multiple places. One of them was a 15 feet long gaping hole - looking up, we saw the sky. Everything they worked on turned into a nightmare. The flat roof they installed on our garage ponds & does NOT drain properly. Water leaks UNDER the gutter & forms ice dams on our garage wall. On the house, they "installed" vents that are practically dummies as they do not allow air to flow. The cathedral ceiling they damaged, they cur out our rigid insulation & covered it up with cheap insulation with low R value that does not comply with county code. During the winter, we had ice dams all over our house which was something that never existed in almost 20 years we lived here. All in all, Excel Roofing has brought us a nightmare. We had inspections done & are awaiting court dates. Unless you enjoy dealing with that type of nightmare, look for roofing companies that know what they are doing & will stand behind their work. Our experience with Excel Roofing made it clear that Excel Roofing is INCOMPETENT & will NOT stand behind their work even when they screw-up royally. BEWARE!!!! read more

They knock on door and we agree they can come back tomorrow to check the roof, no show, called them a week later and was told to text him with info and would get a call tomorrow! Guess what no call...... So you think i can get a hold of them had they done work on my house and I needed service or any issues? I'm thinking NOT. I'm not sure if I was contacted by the imposter posing as Excel roofing, but considering that might have been a possibility, I will update my post to give this business the benefit of the doubt. read more

Excel Roofing came on our job after another roofing company had improperly installed our roof and installed over uneven trusses without any regard for us as homeowners . Not only did Excel remove the old defective work, they properly prepared the foundation to the roof and reinstalled the cement tile roof which is a job in itself. They had great suggestions along the way and were super kind and helpful unlike the previous roofing company. It mattered to Excel Roofing that we were 100 percent satisfied and that is very hard to find in today's construction climate!! Please give them your business. We need companies like this one to thrive!! read more

We live in the north metro area and had Excel Roofing replace our hail damaged roof. Scott Holman was our Project Manager. He did a fantastic job making sure the project was completed as promised. We are highly satisfied with our experience. read more

I am purchasing a house with an Excel Roof on it. It is a Divinici roof with snow guards. When my inspector made a comment that the snow guards were install without rubber grommets to waterproof the screws, I called Excel to ask about them. They sent over a crew the next day to verify they were correctly installed with another type of waterproofing. Indeed there was N-P-1 used during the installation (which is better than silicone). It was a bit of chore to get a hold of the right person to look into it, but once I did, they took care of me almost immediately. read more

Used this company back in 2015 and was completely satisfied with quality of work and customer service. Unfortunately 2 months ago a leaked appeared. I called the company, they come out promptly, fixed the roof where leakage was occurring and also did interior work without any hesitation. This company has the right stuff!! Their PM Dominic came out and listened to our roof leak problem, grabbed a ladder and diagnosed the problem, put in a temp fix then scheduled the repair. We highly recommend the Excel Roofing Team and a trust worthy contractor. read more

Excellent work and company. I had never gone with a larger company before and it was a wonderful experience. They pulled a permit and helped me pick a roof with class 4 shingles. Good communication with prompt and dependable service. They filed my paperwork with my insurance company. The Douglas County roof inspector said they did a great job after inspecting the roof. I definitely recommend and will use again. Chris the project manager was very quick to respond and quite reliable. Overall, a great roofing experience. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Excel roofing! We recently bought a house that had a roof installed by Excel roofing several years ago by the previous owner. While cleaning the gutters I noticed a cracked tile. I gave Excel a call and they said they would honor the warranty and were out the next day to take care of things. They showed up right when they said they would and even found and replaced a couple more tiles than I expected. They also had all the information i needed to transfer the manufacturers warranty to my name as well. Super impressed and would definitely recommend! read more

Had a leak around the chimney. I contacted Donald, Warranty Manager, who dispatched two technicians. The technicians were on-time, courteous and professional. They assessed the leaks; using water to pinpoint the source of the leaks. Kept me informed as they proceeded to repair the leaks. Afterwards, they double-checked their work to confirm the leak problems were resolved. They left the work areas clean. Excel Roofing stands behind their products and their workmanship. Contacted Excel roofing in Boulder to get a roofing estimate. Didn't receive a call back for several days and when they did call back they said they had "lost customer data due to hard drive crash." Okay, fine. Then a person came out to do an estimate a few days later, but we never heard from them again. I've been told that when roofers are busy, they generally don't care about more business. Don't know if that was the case here, but bad we certainly experienced poor communication and unmet expectations. read more

Yes, they made an effort to fix my issues on our roofing project, but they are still not equipped to handle a round historical roof. The tarp they laid down to catch debris was 8x11, which caught nothing. They walked all over the new shingles while they worked, the work they did was so poor it appeared that they were taught to shingle in a two hour course. They came out and redid areas on the roof here and there, which in my opinion compromised the whole job. Ask questions of your contractor, like, have they ever done a roof like yours and have them tell you how they plan to tackle it. The valleys are clearly not done properly and look tacky. Although I was pleased with their attempt to do the roof properly (3 times) it really should have been their job to do it correctly the first time. And if they had not done a roof like ours and had any doubt, they should have passed on doing our project. I would not hire Excel Roofing again. read more
