Excited to grab some coffee and check out Da Vien coffee. As soon as I walked in, the decor was calming and pleasing aesthetically. The menu was pretty easy to follow but I still had some questions which the staff member assisting me answered thoroughly. The marble drip is a sweet milk which is whole milk mixed with condensed milk and Vietnamese coffee. I ordered the marble drip with oatmilk. J ordered the banana latte. You do have to mix them a bit prior to the first sip but it was wonderful! I'll be back to try more!

Third time coming here. Never disappoints. Tried the Vietnamese coffee and it was just the right amount of sweetness.

Da Vien is pretty trendy and there's a bunch of them popping up. Could have easily visited one in the OC or in the 626, but we wanted a sweet drink after our dinner and not much was opened later in the evening on a Monday except for Da Vien. And even on a Monday evening, it's pretty busy and packed. Most of the tables and chairs were taken with people hanging out and chatting or working on their laptops and there was a line for the kiosk, but the cashier can take your orders there too if you know what you'd like. There were also a lot of pick up orders as well and a line for the restroom. With that in mind for a Monday, imagine the weekend or a Friday. Aside from that our drinks came out in a decent timeframe, enough for 2 of us to wait in line to use the restroom and then come back. I got their banana matcha latte. Sweet delicious flavor of banana mixed in with the earthiness of the matcha. I got this half sweet and the banana was enough to sweeten everything perfectly for me. Just make sure to mix it well. I would say that the quality and taste of the matcha is definitely better than franchises out there like Matcha Maiko and it's better than UG Tea, but it's nowhere near the GOATs Yamari or Airoma. I would say a higher quality medium level matcha (if this insane power scaling means anything). I'd definitely try Da Vien again, but maybe not this location or one much closer to me.

So excited to see Da Vien opening more locations in LA county. I love their Banana matcha because it's sweet but strong! It never tastes watered down and you can also customize the dairy options and sugar levels. It's so great my sister even likes it now (as a notorious matcha hater) She fell in love with their strawberry oat matcha and she is now converted lol.

I finally got to check out the new Da Vien Coffee that opened up in Gardena. I had attempted to go during their grand opening celebration but the lines were absolutely insane and I opted to just go on a different day. I'm happy to say, I finally got to try this coffee spot recently. I placed my order via the app ahead of time (highly recommend doing this). The place was packed for lunch time mid-week, and perhaps this a testament to its popularity. I was so happy to see my drink ready to go when I arrived. I chose to get their Ube Cream Coffee. Being both an ube fan, I was curious to see how a Vietnamese coffee topped with a ube coconut cream blend would taste. The Vietnamese coffee definitely had that strong, bold coffee flavor. I was hoping that the ube would give some sweetness to it but the ube flavor was very mild. The Vietnamese coffee definitely overpowered any kind of ube or coconut flavor for this. I would say it is a good Vietnamese coffee drink more than a good ube drink. I'm thinking of trying the Ube Latte next to compare and see if the ube flavors are more abundant. Overall, despite not quite getting the ube flavor in my Ube Cream Coffee, I did still enjoy my drink here. I will be back to try their other coffee drinks when I am in the area.

Busy location. They make drinks pretty fast. The matcha coconut drink is sweet. Not memorable. I asked for no ice but they made with ice so it was watered down. The inside has plenty of seats and lots of people go there to study.

The shaved ice was incredibly light and fluffy, and the combination of fresh blueberries, yogurt, and granola made it refreshing without being overly sweet. The Hojicha Bingsoo was a nice contrast. I usually go to Oakobing in Ktown, but I'm so happy to have a place this good much closer to home. My husband and I recently stopped by for the injeolmi bingsoo, and it absolutely blew my mind. It came topped with red beans, a rich peanut butter-like paste (I'm not exactly sure what it was, but it was delicious), a generous dusting of injeolmi powder, and condensed milk on the side to drizzle over everything. As you dig into the fluffy shaved ice, you're rewarded with surprise chunks of chewy mochi hidden throughout, and I believe there were even more red beans waiting at the bottom. Every bite was packed with flavor and texture. It was so good that I'm craving another bowl just thinking about it. *Drools* I'm not sure how busy it gets during the day since we've only visited after dinner, but we've always found plenty of parking. It's the perfect dessert spot to cool off on a hot summer evening, and definitely one I'd recommend if you're in the area.

Their combinations are so unique, blending trendy flavors like matcha, honey, and many more delicious flavors. My favorite flavor I have tried so far, was the Dalgona Affogato--which I picked because I was thinking of the squid games. The dessert was so smooth but the honey was slightly overbearing. If that is not to your preference, they have other options that can certainly fit to your taste buds. The ice cream is perfectly sweet and an excellent treat in this summer weather. The honey crisps placed on top of the ice were so little, which I wished they had a bit more since it tasted so good with the smooth ice cream. Another thing I hoped was for the affogato to be a bit bigger portion. But then again, I am unsure about the sizings of affogato since this is my first time trying it. Thank you Honeymee Gardena for the experiance, hoping to try more in the future. Butcher Omakase $75 - appetizers of pickled vegetables, beef soup, US Wagyu sashimi, 7 varieties of meat, curry rice, today's dessert. Wagyu Omakase $90 - appetizers of pickled vegetables, beef soup, US Wagyu sashimi, 7 varieties of meat, curry rice, Chef's special dessert. You have a choice of beef curry or upgrading for A5 Wagyu sushi $10 & adding uni for another $10. I got the Butcher Omakase with the A5 Wagyu sushi topped with uni. They bring the big slab of wagyu sushi & literally torch it to give it an added flavor. It was definitely good but I would actually skip the uni as the creamy flavor of uni & the fatty wagyu flavor cancel each other out. It diminishes the greatness of 2 amazing ingredients. The beef soup is a consommé made from the wagyu bones/trimmings & it has such a richness, the bold umami flavor really leaves you speechless. The pickled vegetables and kimchi were okay. I would have preferred spinach goma-ae or something like a small cucumber & wakame salad. Each course of meat was slightly different. There were 3 different cuts of tongue, all good but the cut from the underside of the tongue was a bit chewy. As each course came, the meat quality & flavor kept getting better! All of us agreed that the best & the star of the Omakase is/was the Wagyu Sukiyaki!! The sweet smell of the sukiyaki sauce drizzled over the wagyu as it sizzled on the grill was drool-worthy. Once it was quickly cooked, the wagyu is dipped into the whipped sukiyaki cream! It looked so weird but it was absolutely heavenly!! You can order small bowl of ramen or extra cuts of different wagyu but the Sukiyaki Wagyu is not available a la carte or as an extra serving. Darn it! The dessert was a Hoji-cha purin (pudding or more like flan). I've never had Hoji-cha purin & it was actually as good if not better than matcha to end the scrumptious meal. The service there was top notch, each dish was explained well and they cooked the meat quickly with attention to detail, good presentation. Our waitress even came out from behind the counter to take pictures of our extended family by the wall sign next to the front door! Wagyu Butcher has a wrap around rectangular counter seating only so it is a bit tricky to seat in a big group. We had 6 of us and it was hard to have a conversation with everyone. The only problem I saw with this seating arrangement was how they accommodate guests in wheelchairs or special mobility devices. Maybe they have a table in the back corner that I didn't see from where I sat. We all want to go back again for the next special occasion dinner! It was worth every minute of the drove down & more!!
