Taylor's Tayke: Da Andrea is a great option for Italian…read moredining in Chelsea, with a warm atmosphere that works perfectly for date night or dinner with friends. The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. The Seafood Ravioli was the highlight of the savory side, but whatever you do, save room for that Lemon Sorbet. Stamped by Elajas

It was very tender. Romesco was ok. Was hoping more from the reviews. Spaghetti Carbonara - 3/5 - again thought it was okay. A little flat, nothing exciting. Got it cause of the reviews. Lasagnetta - 4/5 - liked much better! Everything was well balanced and the sauce was fantastic. Chocolate mousse - 5/5 - it was thicker and not as pudding like which I love! Venice- 5/5 - grapefruit soda, mezcal drink. Again, so well balanced. Didn't taste like a heavy mezcal drink, which i wouldn't mind. Service - 4/5 - friendly but felt like we were somehow inconvenience them. We did take a little longer to order drinks in the beginning.

It's hard to find affordable-ish dining in Chelsea these days but Fumo definitely hits that mark…read morewith mixing Italian fine dining and affordability. There are numerous locations now in the city but this was my first time going and I was definitely eyeing it for awhile. They do weekday lunch specials of $14 pastas, boozey weekend brunches for around $24/25(not including food), and $12 Sunday dinner specials on entrees as well as happy hours on weekdays from 4-7pm that include: $7 snacks, $8 wine, $5 beer, $9 spritzes, and $9 wells. I happened to come in for Labor Day Brunch on Saturday. We both said we were going to do unlimited but honestly could only finish about a pitcher of mimosa and they only charged us for the one pitcher was the nice part. I went with Carbonara Pasta and my boyfriend had the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich with fries. I'm not gonna lie, I've never gone to aycd brunch and have not finished my food but I could not finish my entree it was so massive and filling. I haven't had a pasta this rich in ages and it was so so good and I am all for not having those skimpy little portions. He couldn't finish his sandwich either. I tried one of the fries and it was nicely battered thick cut wedge fries. Maybe I haven't been eating out alot lately but I was legit impressed. The staff was wonderful and thoughtful. The cafe in itself is very cute and Italian with black and white marble in the bathrooms, white marble bar top, hanging plants, interesting light fixtures. I'm definitely going to make a point to come back soon.

This means those dishes aren't truly gluten free for people with celiac disease or anyone who has to avoid gluten. When I pointed that out to my server, he just gave me a blank stare. I tried to explain why labeling those items as gluten free is misleading, but he seemed completely disinterested, even annoyed, dismissed what I was saying, and simply responded that the pasta is gluten free. I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.

They were pretty busy for a Tues night when we got there, but they had a good table ready for us. They noted that we were celebrating an anniversary and brought us out champagne without having to say anything or ask. We ordered a lot! Started with an espresso martini and my husband got a bourbon drink. The espresso martini did not disappoint! Then we got the mushrooms with a fried egg on top, foccacia bread and the crispy potatoes as sides. The crispy potatoes were my fave. They had great flavor and crispiness. For entrees, we got three pastas. The spaghetti (which was a white sauce spaghetti), the bucatini and the truffle ravioli. They accidentally brought us a cacia e peppe out instead of the ravioli so we got to try a 4th. The pasta was ALL so delicious. The ravioli was my fave. The spaghetti was also very unique because it didn't look or taste like a tomato sauce. The service was great and we really appreciated the nice extra touches with the champagne toast and what I considered a better table than most! It was a corner table on the top floor for 4 people when we were only two people! Gave us some extra space so we weren't on top of another party. I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back the next time we go to NY!

The interior was completely packed, and the noise level was high enough for my smart watch to complain. To sample a bit of everything, we shared two orders of focaccia, four pastas, and one dessert. HOUSE-MADE FOCACCIA - 10 Super bouncy with a bit of chew, this was probably the best focaccia I've ever eaten. It came generously drizzled with olive oil and alongside chopped peppers drenched in even more olive oil, which added a nice little kick. We highly recommend starting with this. TAGLIATELLE - 27 Out of the four pastas, this was my absolute favorite. I love the thin yet chewy texture of the tagliatelle, and the bolognese sauce was rich and hearty. Finished with just the right amount of Parmigiano, both the pasta texture and sauce were sheer perfection. PICI 'CACIO E PEPE' - 23 This was such a simple pasta, yet so delicious. It was incredibly creamy and cheesy, with hints of fresh black pepper flavor that blew standard at-home black pepper grinders out of the water. Despite it being the simplest pasta of the night, I enjoyed it immensely. RIGATONI - 32 This pasta was simple yet slightly innovative, featuring sausage paired with a broccoli-based pesto. There was a slight bitterness that was polarizing among our group. While this wasn't my favorite pasta, I appreciated the creativity. PERCIATELLI NERO - 35 This dish packed in more components than just pasta and sauce: plenty of crab, tomatoes, and crispy breadcrumbs on top. However, the combination wasn't very memorable. None of the flavors really stood out, and it was my least favorite pasta of the night. OLIVE OIL CAKE - 14 Served with a pile of golden raisins and fancy whipped cream, this ended up being a bit of a miss. The raisins were a bit too sweet, and the cake's texture was uneven -- some bites were soft and moist, while others felt dry. A couple of others in my group also felt the same way. Overall, I'd give L'Artusi a 4.5/5; it was mostly hits with a couple of misses. The pasta portions are quite small. Since each dish is primarily carbs and sauce, I'd imagine you'll likely need an appetizer or a pasta and a half to leave full. Still, I'd definitely come back for the focaccia, tagliatelle, and the cacio e pepe.

The carbonara had a great smokiness from the meat, and the risotto was cooked well as was most of the seafood in it.
