A truly authentic Italian eatery actually run by a family. Smells were enticing and the service excellent. The food was amazing as well!

What an amazing experience!!! I chose DaRaffaele for my birthday dinner while in the city after researching for days for an owner chef establishment and small business where I would get personal service and amazing Italian food in Manhattan and I found it!! The Holy Grail that checked all the buttons. Raffaele came out to or table and gave us his specials list along with the most delicious house made bread. So good I did not even want to swipe it through the olive oil. He also made my husband a delicious Manhattan and a lovely pour of the classic Chianti for me. I started with Chef's Minestrone Soup and devoured the generous bowl while my husband had a special of grilled octopus over arugula with lemon. Soo good! For mains I thoroughly enjoyed the gnocchi (pillows of ) in s ragu sauce and my husband had another special, lemon pappardelle in duck bolognese. amazing. For dessert we split the Torta di Ricotta, a homemade Italian cheesecake with pear snd delicate orange sauce along with a cappuccino for me and double espresso for my husband. We we also each given a yummy limoncello gratis!! This was such a great experience and so worth traveling away from midtown. Prices here are reasonable and you will meet the owner Chef Raffaele. You won't get that personal experience at a celebrity restaurant. I will definitely return!!

We went last night and the food was AMAZING!!! Best service we've gotten our whole trip!! So pretty inside and you can order anything there and you'll love it!!! Servings was perfect!! Me and my sister shared the appetizer and main meal and still so much food! The owner was so sweet and so was our waiter they were so attentive!!!Highly recommend!!

Very good, basic food like your grandmother cooked. Warm, friendly service and a quiet spot in a busy area. We would definitely return.

They have a good wine list. Do not remember if they carry hard liquor but they made an outstanding mocktail for one of our group who was pregnant.

I ordered the Lamb Ragù pasta, and every bite was packed with rich, slow-cooked flavor. To start, my brother and I shared a pizza and the lobster appetizer, and both were incredible. My brother ordered the truffle pasta, and after stealing a few bites, I can honestly say it was just as unforgettable. The atmosphere was on another level. Even on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was buzzing with energy, full of happy people, great conversations, and an authentic Italian vibe that made you want to stay for hours. The service from Jose was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had an amazing experience. If you're looking for incredible Italian food, outstanding service, and one of the best dinner spots in the East Village, OLIO E PIÙ belongs at the top of your list. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the city.

When we entered the restaurant and took the elevator up to the restaurant, we were delighted to find free wine provided for us to pour in the elevator. Admittedly, it was red wine, so not my favorite, and it did taste cheap, but still appreciated. To start off, we ordered the onion torta, focaccia, and smashed potatoes. The onion torta was surprisingly good and tasted like a form of french onion soup. As a focaccia enthusiast, the focaccia was fluffy and delicious. We also got the charred beans, carrots, ravioli, tagliatelle, ravioli, and trout to share. The charred beans were surprisingly the long beans and not the smaller ones we expected. However, they were very juicy and better than we thought they would be. The rigatoni resembled cacio e pepe with its pepperiness, the tagliatelle tasted like standard red sauce, but i did enjoy the ravioli and the ricotta inside. For dessert, we had the basque cheesecake which was alright, but I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake. Overall, we had a great time at Ci Siamo and I would definitely recommend ordering the focaccia and onion torta and we could have skipped the carrots, beans, trout, and tagliatelle.

If you answered "yes" to all three, then Fumo is a place to seriously consider. The restaurant is bright and comfortable. The service is fast and attentive. The menu has lots of excellent choices. Any drawbacks ? youi ask.....well, yes, there is one, and it should be cosnidered. The restaurant is so so so popular that the noise level can be a bit ..... shall we say "daunting." This means those dishes aren't truly gluten free for people with celiac disease or anyone who has to avoid gluten. When I pointed that out to my server, he just gave me a blank stare. I tried to explain why labeling those items as gluten free is misleading, but he seemed completely disinterested, even annoyed, dismissed what I was saying, and simply responded that the pasta is gluten free. I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.
