We just love this west side local kitchen. We got a burger and an iced latte. We mentioned that I was gluten free and they made sure we knew the hamburgers have gluten in them. I was not able to eat there but I love sitting there drinking my coffee and looking at the golf course. Everyone makes you feel welcomed. It's clean and tidy in the outside eating are.

Found at the West Loch Golf Course, Da Kane's Kitchen is a must try if you are in Ewa. We enjoyed the smoked meat plate, fried noodles and the Maui "teri" burger with a small portion of garlic fries. Everything was so ono and if you like spice, they have a good amount of choices of hot sauces. They really make you feel like family here and loaned us a couple of fans to keep away the flies. The restaurant is in a open air pavilion that overlooks the golf course. It was nice and cool in the shade and there was tons of parking to be found. You get a cash discount and they are open from 6 AM to 5 PM.

I'm not sure how I feel about the place. It is outdoors and really casual feeling. You order at the window, but they do come out and bring your food to you. The staff answered all of our questions. I ate an acai bowl and just kind of tasted from everyone else so I don't feel like I can give a true review of the food. I did share my son's fries (loaded is what I believe it is called) with him and it did not disappoint! We will be back to try more things.

Service was friendly, efficient, and actually came with the rare smile we get these days from the food industry, 5 on SERVICE. The Ambience, well... it's a older golf course clubhouse. With a view of part of the golf course (water features and some dead coconut trees), you will experience some golfers passing through and the occasional ducks. Open air, so no AC. Which means it can get really hot on those hot-humid days. And the worst part are the flies and wasps. They do provide those fly fans, but these flies are experts at dodging the blades... 2 on AMBIANCE, I don't like shooing flies while eating and keeping another eye on hovering wasps. Now let's get to the food. My husband and I ordered a Cold Brew Coffee, Mozzarella Sticks, Tuna Melt, Garlic Fries, Loco Moco, and a side of Fried Noodles. The Cold Brew arrived in a small cup with barely any ice, HOWEVER, I asked for a larger cup with ice and the nice lady gave us two larger cups of ice, so we got two cups of Cold Brew out of the one small cup (WIN!). The Mozzarella Sticks, all but two were empty, just a shell of the fried batter part... like a cheese had all oozed out of the stick and they also ran out of marinara sauce. My Tuna Melt was sub-par, it didn't quite match the description on the menu... came out cold and was missing that buttery-melty flavor. The Garlic Fries lacked seasoning and freshness. My husband's Loco Moco was disappointing, the gravy looked like it would have redeemed our experience thus far, but that too lacked flavor. The Fried Noodles was too sweet with the abundant unagi sauce, maybe less sauce + SPAM could have been more flavor balanced? But after adding some salt and black pepper, my husband was able to make his food taste better. 1 on FOOD because all together with tip our bill came out to $80. Which we would have had no issues with if the food was on par. So we will continue to search for another Ewa eatery for whenever we're on this side of the island. Unfortunately, this spot was a one and done.

Beautiful view and fresh food! I decided to try the cheeseburger with fries and a cinnamon toast latte, and my husband decided to get the smoked meat plate. The cinnamon toast latte came with whipped cream and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal on top of the drink. The cheeseburger had a homemade look and taste to it, and the texture of the patty was soft. I really appreciate the fact that they ask if you want raw onion or grilled onions. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. My husband said the smoked meat had a sweet pineapple flavor to it, and the meat itself was nice and soft. Overall, the food was okay, but the service and ambiance were amazing. One of the employees walked around checking on people and asked if everything was okay. He also offered to move the table fans around to keep the flies away while people were eating.

My husband's co-worker who is an avid golfer raved about their burgers here. So we decided to try it out on Good Friday and did not disappoint. The customer service is outstanding and the food portions were very generous. My husband, son, and I ordered the burgers, which was delicious and my daughter ordered the garlic shrimp. This is a local family and veteran owned establishment and we love supporting local family businesses and vets. The owner Billy took time to chat with us and is so down to earth. He also gave us a sweet yummy treat to try out. We will definitely be back and hope to catch their breakfast menu. Mahalo for an awesome late lunch experience!

If you haven't tried Da Kane's before, put it on your next stop! The hamburger steak easily moved to one of our favorites on the island. The char on the burger patties, grilled onions and green onions just make it a winner for us! The chicken katsu was very moist and tender with the breading light and crispy. It's not your run of the mill plate lunch chicken katsu. You can enjoy your meal with plenty of seating and a view of the golf course. It's quiet and peaceful and can accommodate a large group of people. It is outdoor/lanai seating but they have fans on the table to mitigate any flies that will want to have lunch with you. Service was excellent and I hope they keep building their customer base so we can enjoy their food for years to come.

Loaded Fries and Fried Noodles (it was HARD).
    Taylor G.

Service was great, food was less than mediocre. I got small fried noodles and the loaded fries (small). I saw on Yelp someone got loaded fries and they said it was like In & Out. The sauce was giving in and out, but they legit put RAW onions on my fries. Not grilled. Didnt mind too much because I like onions. The noodles were SO HARD. It was like eating shoelaces. I dont know if it was raw or what but it was horrible, which sucked because the flavor was good. Probably wouldn't go back because for 2 small side dishes it was $18.

A hidden gem at the Westloch Golf Course We ordered the smoked meat, loaded fries, Maui burger (teri burger. Had to try their special family recipe teriyaki sauce) Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte, Mango Island iced tea. Everything down to the drinks were so good! Plenty of seating overlooking the golf course. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Definitely need to come back to try more!

Reposting here after getting removed from Google Reviews! TLDR: Expertly prepared & consciously crafted, Da Kane's Kitchen delivers elevated Hawaiian cuisine through the personal creativity of its outstanding team. On the last day of our vacation, my fiancé and I planned to stop by to pick up some drinks before heading to the airport. Instead, Da Kane's food helped us realize the experience we dreamt of the entire trip. Although the below post is long, I wanted to share our experience in full. For the last few days prior to dining here, my partner and I had eaten at some excellent restaurants in Waikiki. Although the food in the city was excellent, I felt it followed similar food trends to LA, where we traveled from. Tender cuts of beef, imported oysters from the Pacific Northwest, and lots of colorful blended drinks were ubiquitous amongst the high-rise restaurants. As a first time traveler to Oahu, I honestly believed that this was the tourist's experience I should expect throughout this island. Recommended by a friend, we ended up at Da Kane's Kitchen to pick up some much needed caffeine. We also ordered the Smoked Meat, Kalbi Ribs, and Maui Burger since we were excited to see uncommon foods on the menu. I felt a glimmer of hope that this restaurant was going to deliver something beyond L&L Hawaiian available at home. As the food arrived in unassuming takeout containers, I prepared for the conventions of Hawaiian cuisine: rice, macaroni salad, and "insert protein here". What we instead received was truly a Hawaiian family welcome. The Food: - The Smoked Meat was masterfully prepared. Cooked low & slow long enough to garner the sought-after smoke ring, but not so long as to dry out a seemingly low-fat cut. Finished in a lightly-sweetened glaze, the contrast against the bold smokiness set the standard for the rest of our meal. - Kalbi Ribs were tender enough to separate cleanly from the bone. From countless experiences eating Kalbi Ribs at K-BBQ joints, Da Kane's ribs felt texturally exceptional. The softened connective tissue is usually difficult to make palatable, but their's was delicately chewy and robust with flavor. Enjoyed with the tangy and bright macaroni salad, Da Kane's kalbi was an excellent re-introduction to a cut I thought I understood well. This dish I highly recommend. - The Maui Burger was an excellent personalization of a Hawaiian burger. Complete with fresh, sweet pineapple and lightly spicy bbq sauce, the burger delivered the full package you hope for. Recently, fast food burger restaurants have been cutting back on portion size and ingredient quality to improve margins given the difficult economy. This was not the case for Da Kane's Kitchen. Holding their Maui burger, I was reminded of the grand American portion sizes that challenge our collective longevity. What indulgence! - Mac Nut Latte & Cinnamon Toast Latte were an outstanding finishing touch. My partner appreciated the careful presentation aesthetic for her travel album! Our friendly and catering barista asked us for our preference for sweetness & plant-milk, so we requested Uncle's recommendation. We enjoyed the Mac Nut Latte with Macadamia milk & the Cinnamon Toast Latte with Oat milk. To me, the Cinnamon Toast Latte stood leagues apart from your everyday Star**cks. Balanced sweetness from the drink and cereal pieces well-complemented the slight bitterness from the locally-roasted beans. More than a fresh and cool drink, this was what I wanted to enjoy on a warm summer afternoon at the golf course. I hope the last few paragraphs have expressed my new found appreciation for Da Kane's creative Hawaiian cuisine. I wrongly believed that Oahu was dominated by modern tourism, offering exclusive trendy food items in popular spaces. However, when my fiancé and I took the road less traveled for a fresh experience, we found solidarity in a family restaurant seeking to cherish & elevate their traditions through their cuisine. Quite literally, you won't find the quality or innovation they provide anywhere else. I would highly recommend Da Kane's Kitchen to any foodie looking to expand their palate, but also to any person just looking for a comfortable, heartfelt meal.

    Mini Chicken Katsu Plate
    Sam M.

I've been a regular here for a while now, and every visit reaffirms why I keep coming back. This time I ordered the Mini Chicken Katsu Plate with a Chocolate Puff Latte, and once again, it exceeded expectations. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside--clearly made fresh and with care. Everything was well-portioned, even for a "mini" plate, making it one of the best values around. You get quality and quantity, which is increasingly hard to find. The sauce was a perfect complement! To top it off, the Chocolate Puff Latte was indulgent but not overly sweet, and perfectly balanced for a refreshing treat. Great iced drink with a fun cereal topping! Service is always friendly, efficient, and the food is consistently high quality. It's clear this place takes pride in what they serve. If you're looking for a go-to spot with generous portions, quality ingredients, and solid flavor execution--this is it. Great for take out and love that they offer mobile ordering! Highly recommend!

One thing I will say that not too many people know about, is that they have a kids menu! Every choice on there is $10 each. When I do end up bringing my babies on Bible study nights, I order them the sausage, eggs, and rice plate or the nuggets. Portions are great, enough to feed an adult, let alone a child. On average for a date, you'd pay about $80-$100 total depending what you order. But it's worth it and it's not an everyday thing. Also check out the shaved ice and ice cream! We specifically came out to support our friend who was the musical talent providing the live entertainment from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Our reservation was at 5:30 PM, and the vibe was so good that we stayed all the way until 9:00 PM. Because we arrived during the last 30 minutes of happy hour, we immediately ordered a major spread of pupus from the Pau Hana menu. We shared the lechon style brussel sprouts, hand-cut fries, steamed shrimp & pork won tons, scallion bread, and fish tacos. Every single bite was delicious. I paired the food with a Hana Koa Roof Top Pale Ale from their local drafts list, which was crisp and excellent. After happy hour wrapped up, I moved on to the dinner menu and ordered the Half Pound House Burger and fries for my entree. The burger was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. Overall, the food and ambiance were absolutely outstanding, and the service was prompt, attentive, and friendly from start to finish. Service was great from beginning to end, I especially love that everyone accommodated my stroller and my baby. There were four of us and we each got something different, but to start I highly suggest the steamed shrimp and pork wontons and the lechon style Brussels - I would've double-ordered those for my entree if I could have! For entrees we ordered the garlic noodles, misoyaki butterfish, seared catch-of-the-day, and the burger. They were all amazing, and after we all started letting each other try we started making our own "flights" because everything just hit different spots and flavor profiles. In summary, this is one of those places that doesn't care about aesthetics, the decor is casual, but the food is soooo ono. They focus all their energy on food and service, and that makes a winner winner chicken dinner in my book.
