The food here is always of a very high standard, in this case they had catered plates of sandwiches and fairy cakes, an interesting combination to say the least.
The sandwiches contained just the right amount of filling that you did not need to dislocate your jaw in order to take a bite out of it, and yet not so little that you need a microscope to see it. They were fresh and very tasty to say the least.
The cup cakes were moist and spongy, just like I remember them being from when I was a kid. Although I found the colours of the icing a little garish, it was very nice, if not a little too much icing on them for my tastes. The ultimate thing about these cup cakes had to be the decoration on top of them, it was either one of a variety of brightly coloured jelly candy, or a half milk/half dark chocolate heart.
The staff are always exceedingly friendly and happy to help. Especially given that there were 3 young girls present who between exploring the place under the legs of the staff, and who also only seemed to want the little bits of decoration off the top of the cup cakes, rather than the cakes beneath, the staff remained perky and friendly throughout the event. read more
