This place is located in a shopping center so parking is not a problem. Once you go inside it is pretty spaced out with a few tables. One of the walls is a giant chalk board which you can write on. The main reason that we came here is because it is open until 2AM. There isn't much else open besides bars so we didn't have many choices. The menu is limited with mostly different varieties of calzones and some sides like tater tots and garlic bread. The prices are decent but the calzone is definitely not as big as normal calzones. Also it seemed that there was more sauce and cheese than actual meat. The cheesy bread tasted pretty good though and is definitely enough to share with a few people. This place mostly serves the purpose of being a late night spot to get some decent food. The service and prices were also fine. I believe they even run a $5 special calzone of the day that you have to see from their social media pages.

Italian Zone with side of Marinara

Live near location and found an online deal - so we checked it out. I was pleasantly surprised! Not the most user friendly online ordering page but was pleasant and easy to call order in. Order was ready in 20 minutes when we picked it up. My husband got a Italian Calzone with multiple Italian meats, cheeses and large side of flavorful marinara for dipping. Lots of meat and cheese in the calzone and good flavored dough. I got a "make your own" with meatballs, jalapenos, pineapple, cheese mix and Garlic Parm sauce inside the calzone. I will say my husband's was better - a lot less toppings in mine and the garlic parm sauce tasted very artificial and oily - not my fave. The cheese sticks were good with marinara dipping sauce and well done/crispy cheese on top. The apple pie zone - just skip it. The dough is covered with small amount of cinnamon/sugar but flavorless. The apple filling really is missing something - the apples needed to cooked more, seasoned better - maybe a little sweeter. The vanilla icing may have been a canned frosting, but was actually the best part. They have a $5 Special calzone daily and on Wednesdays $2/10.00 for any. DP Dough is tasty and pretty decent quality for the price for late night or lunch college style eating. They have salads and boneless chicken wings that sound pretty good as well - may try next time. Pleasant and helpful staff. I believe they still have some groupon deals which make it an insanely good deal, check it out!

I came here on a groupon. Not too shabby of a deal. The prices are great for the variety that you get. Most calzones they offer have a variety of stuff you can add or pick off the menu. I do believe some extra meat is a little extra though. They are pretty big. I was only able to eat half. Friendly staff. To start off just tried your regular old simple calzone with cheese, pepperoni and ricotta. Taste/texture- The dough was excellent compared to other calzones I've had. Great texture and flavor. The sauce was good. So overall put together I was a satisfied customer. Will definitely be back to try many other yums. DP For the win!

Custom Zone! BBQ Chicken, Cheddar, Onions

D.P Dough is an establishment that is talked very highly about among my wrestling brethren. Whether you're just looking for a good calzone...or stumbling in for a little sobering up. Nevertheless, the concept of an all calzone stop, I love. Especially if I can make my own calzone! Did I mention, all the clever names they have? Danger-Zone, Oh-Zone, Buffer-Zone.....you have me with the clever names! Now on to my order. While I will admit, I am very disappointed to see that Broccoli was not on the list of things to stuff in my calzone...no literally, tears were shed. I had this whole dream calzone in my head that never came to life. Tragic really...but I digress. I ended up ordering, BBQ Sauce, Chicken, Cheddar and Onions. It was great, don't get me wrong. But I was swindled. For I did not see the (Add additional toppings for only .50 cents!) right beneath the ingredient list. I thought I was only limited to 4.....the tragedy continues. So with these two travesties unfolding, it effected my experience. The calzone itself, was delicious! My only problem was that I think it was baked. At too high of a temperature. My filling was not as hot as the outside. And my cheese could've been melted more. But delicious nevertheless. With all this transpiring, I have to go back and have a better experience. Because I know what I'm going into now. So with that being said, stay tuned for update number two...where I damn near pass out after the first bite of my dream zone!

Buffer Zone

I have been a huge fan of D.P. Dough since my college days, and I couldn't be happier that one has now opened up in my neck of the woods. This place is the real deal. Some pizza shops offer calzones on their menu, and they're okay, but D.P. Dough is dedicated to making only calzones. That means their creations go beyond just the toppings you can find on a pizza. They make specialty calzones that are the best calzones you'll ever have. Every day they have a $5 special; a new calzone goes on sale for only $5 that day, and sometimes they throw in an extra calzone if local sports teams are having a great season or just won a game. I can't say enough about this place. You'll just have to check it out for yourself.

Cheesy Bacon Tots
Conrad N.

Excellent calzone, which makes sense because that's their specialty. The bacon cheese tots aren't bad. Menu is sports-themed and the staff were friendly. There are tables and chairs but takeout and delivery seem to be the majority of business. If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping by.

Ordered a cheese calzone and I received a buffalo chicken one.

Top tier pizza for a reasonable price…read more Appetizers and drinks came out quickly, but the pizzas took a bit longer. Our server was very attentive and offered great seasonal recommendations. *Squash Salad: a seasonal dish that perfectly captured the feeling of autumn, served in a hot cast iron skillet. The squash was sweet, garlicky, and buttery, topped with smoky breadcrumbs. The blistered tomatoes paired well with the balsamic glaze, adding sweetness and juiciness to each bite. *La Pina Loca: perfect mix of salty, sweet, and spicy. The pork was rendered beautifully, creating a savory oil that blended well with the pineapple. The jalapenos added mild heat, and the hot honey was subtle. The crust was thin with a good char on the bottom. If I lived closer, I would come here all the time. It is unfortunate that the squash salad is only a seasonal item because my group kept talking about how much we craved it afterward. The beverage menu was a bit limited, so I hope to see more beers on tap or additional mixed drinks in the future.

Cranberry and tomato burrata salad: it's a caprese salad, which I have nothing to complain about :) I did wish there were more tomatoes though, since the burrata was so large La pina loca--what an explosion of flavor!! I liked the hot honey with the pineapple, and the crust was really good Black garlic and funghi--Because we had the La pina loca first, this tasted a little bland in comparison. The crust was much crispier, but I felt like it missing something. But all in all, would definitely come back for good pizza, I want to try all the other flavors! Honestly Ardor Park was super close to 5 stars, if there was a 4.8 I would give it out!

We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!

It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.
