First review ever on a nail salon. In light of the ongoing discussions about customer service this is necessary. A lot of times it is certain people who provide poor service than the overall place. I've been going here 4 years always pedi and acrylic together. A nail tech named JAE has the worst attitude! I've seen her service others as well and you see them rolling their eyes. She has a slick mouth for no reason and makes very simple nail requests into a rude interaction. I normally just see whoever is available but I'm so over this lady and will refuse her going forward if they try to assign her. She has changed prices at the register after telling one price while in chair, she makes nasty remarks, and she messes up nail polish on purpose if she is mad. If possible I would give a negative 10. A friend suggested I try this spot for a manicure and pedicure. The woman who provided the service seemed to be out of touch and slightly elderly but I wanted to give her a chance thinking she was probably very experienced. Nope! Wrong! The pedicure was trash. The manicure was worse. She ripped skin from my thumb which didn't have to happen. I started bleeding and she tried to pour antiseptic onto the wound but it continued bleeding. The pain was about a five. When it got time to checkout I explained what happened to my thump. They gave me a card with three holes punched as a way of acknowledging their error and saying that I can get to a quicker free service with a fee express holes punched. This was my 1st time visiting this nail salon, I always get the cat eye polish at my regular nail salon. I paid $80 for my nails and $70 for a pedicure, This past Saturday...Sunday I had to return because the polish was peeling...I live at least 20 miles away. They did the nails over...I get to my destination Tuesday all they way on yhe other side of the country and they are peeling again. I normally don't leave reviews but this is ridiculous. Order: Gel and Design Pros: So check this! I had gotten my nails done in Oregon 2 days prior and they were God awful. I was not happy with the finished result but I still has to pay. I came home to GA as I am preparing for a trip and decided to get them done again in my home state. Let me tell you Georgia came through!!! She took the 2 day old gel from the other nail salon off and redid my chunky lil fingers. She did an amazing job with cleaning my cuticles and doing the design. Today I went to get my nails done and was unpleasantly surprised by the inappropriate behavior of the lady who did my nails. At the beginning, I clearly stated what I wanted. Apart from the fact that she removed my painful nails for no reason, I had to ask her to even out the length, to give me the style I wanted right from the start, and to make the thickness of the nails proportional to the size of my fingers. What I have now is really ugly, and I am dissatisfied. I repeatedly expressed my dissatisfaction when paying, and I was told that I do have nails. This is really too much. The way I was treated at this salon. The staff is completely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I went in for a nail polish change and the nail tech began drilling not only the gel polish but acrylic as well at a very fast pace. I asked "You do realize I'm getting a polish change and not a fill-in, right?" I tried to be patient and just as I expected the polish looked like it was done my a five year old, she filed majority of the acrylic off and didn't file nor buff to even out the surface. I thought to myself "I'll just fix it when I get home." She asked me at least 7 times if I wanted her to "fix" my nails after polishing until I eventually said "Again. No thank you as I have hair appointment to get to. Had you taken your time to do it right the first time you'd have nothing to try and fix." I then asked "Do I need to put my nails under the ultraviolet light" and she responded "You can do what you want." I walked to the cashier, explained the situation, requested her conduct be addressed, and and asked to discuss the matter outside away from customers. I walked out the door and was chased by the nail tech saying "You need to pay!" in which I responded "I just spoke with the cashier to resolve the situation." She went on to began to use profanity and threaten me in which I did respond as expected. Not only did she do a poor job, she delivered terrible customer service, harassed me after I asked her to leave my presence several times, called me out of my name and discriminated against me. Great pedicure but when I got home I realized the black pedicure I asked for was actually ink blue with tiny sparkles it it. The gel pedicure was $49 and I tipped the lady who did such a great job $20 extra. I spent $69 on this... After searching for a nail salon closer to home, I came across D'or. The reviews were raving and based upon the photos..the techs did great design work. I went in for SNS removal and reapply and a pedicure. Cherry was my tech for the SNS and Hilen the tech for the pedi. Hilen suggested I get a fill in on my toe acrylic and I agreed. I hadn't went on for a fill in however, I wasn't so pleased with it's current shape and wanted to see the outcome by Hilen. I chose the deluxe Pedi which came with a warm neck pillow. The Pedi was great but, I wish it was a little longer. It did seem rushed. This very new and clean luxury nail/lash shop opened up by little 5 points. it's located right across the Office Depot. Inside reminds me of being in a marble stone throne room or something. Super elegant and they offer all their customers bottled water. Also, inside is pretty busy so i recommend try to make appointments but they do accept walk ins. I love their lash tech, Angie. i'm the kind of person who knows a good thing when i see it, so the stress of looking for a reliable lash tech who can work with my schedule while having good quality lashes and carries herself professionally was so hard until i finally found Angie!! i've gotten my volume lashes done by herfor maybe about a year now. i love how she listens, if i want this style, she will make it happen for me. i usually go in 2-3 weeks for a fill. Depending on my lashes sometimes they still look great when i go in for a fill, or they look busted because its that time. Alright y'all, so this has been my Go-to spot for a while! It smells very nice, the ladies are sweet and the pedicures are relaxing. My favorite pedicure was the jelly one cause it's soo fun to feel and they also give the hot wax facial to your feet after the jelly which is really cool. The jelly is also vegan, aka gelatin-free for those who care. The last time i went was about a week ago. I got a pedicure and a full set. My pedicure got done pretty quickly and the massage the man gave me was very relaxing. I don't know the lady's name who gave me the full set, but i am not going to lie i was a bit disappointed. I got deep french tips with chrome and the chrome has been chipping. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and it didn't look as identical as I desired but it's okay. They didn't have chrome color i wanted so i had to change the color as well. The not-so identical was not the worst part though. It was when i got to the cashier and the total totally threw my off guard I got the basic pedicure w/ gel plus french tip line & red chrome & same for my nails for the full set. I've gotten chrome before and never was charged this much in the past. Just for the chrome & "deep french tips" it was a $40 upcharge!!! And i was not informed until i was checking out. The design is quite simple so i was really confused why it was $40 extra. Anyways, they charge extra for gel, shape, cutting, chrome, 'deep french' and pretty much anything you can think of that's fine and all, but i want to be INFORMED as i am requesting these designs! I read the menu and i know Basic pedicure $39 Gel $15 Full set $50 Gel $15 (i think) Design (i assumed would be 15-20$) All that ^ would come out to $139 (still crazy in my opinion). But nope, my total Was a wopping $171! And that's not including tip. I'm not typically one to complain about pricing but this was more centered around annoyance that i did not know it was going to be that much. Ofherwise, i would have got something simpler. Next time i will Ask More questions. But i do think the nail techs should give quotes as ppl request designs cause finding out after it's done is painful lol The time before this, i also had painted my nails with polish and all of them got messed up within 24 hours and i came back to fix them and they said they needed to dry for 30 minutes which i was not informed about. They charged me for an entire new painting service instead of correcting the mistake of instructions that were given. So i basically paid double for a mediocre manicure. I'm bummed because I really wanted to love this place. I've been twice now and both times I was surprised with the cost when it was time to check out. The first time they ended up charged my partner (who got a mani pedi with no polish) an extra $10 to "buff" the nails. This blew my mind bc they aren't even using any products and nails get buffed before they get polished. They also didn't explain this at all so once I saw the "other charge" for $10 with no description on the receipt I called and asked and they didn't give me a clear answer until I came back in the salon. Anyway, the most recent time I went by myself and got SNS. As I was driving home, I noticed like weird bubbles so I sent an email to their email on the site and haven't heard back. I've also followed up and still nothing. Below is the email I sent and pics attached: I had my nails done today and as I was on my way home, I noticed that there are bubbles or something in almost all of my nails. I wasn't provided with a receipt so I don't have the exact time, but it was around 1:15 when I checked out. I am the one who was asking about the extra $10 charge back in December. It is still odd to me that there is a charge for buffing when it takes no extra time and you're not even using products. I do wish there was more transparency for additional charges. The problem is not the art, but the quality of care when handling your nails and customer service which are both subpar. Their prices are high for the simplest nails as they upcharge for short length, shaping, adding acrylic to fullsets and polishing the applied acrylic. Each is a separate charge. They pop off your nails without care even if you communicate that your nail underneath is broken or damaged. They treat you like a criminal when you have questions about prices or an itemized receipt to view charges. They will surround you as if you are running out simply for asking questions about the nail price. My experience was poor and I gave them 2 chances which gave me different prices for the upcharges each time. Will not return. read more

I've been to this business a few times (earliest couple times probably around 6 months to a year ago) and the experience was fine. However, I went yesterday with a friend of mine and was pretty disappointed, not sure I'll be returning for a few reasons: I asked for an sns manicure, and while the gentleman who did my nails was nice, the manicure portion that cost 10 dollars more, consisted of putting something on my cuticles, putting them in a bowl of warm water for a minute or two, and putting lotion on my hands and arms at the end (not really a massage, which is fine with me but illustrating the point). I don't always do manicures with S&S, but haven't had my nails professionally done in several months and I planned to pay more this time so that I could get my cuticles cleaned up, which I expressed. The only thing he did to my cuticles was use the electric be think and pushing them up dry while applying the powder with his fingernail. I could have spoken up more, and I'll own that, but it was a little uncomfortable and the language barrier was evident for both of us, so I had a hard time with understanding what he was trying to tell me, and I don't think that he understood what I was telling him. I also got a regular pedicure and decided to give gel a go for the first time on my toes. I will say she did an excellent job cleaning up the bottom of my feet and my cuticles! However, she had already painted one foot and stuck it under the gel light and when I looked down at that time it looked like she had just clipped my toenails (one was straight up jagged, so I had to ask for her to file and shape them. I also tried to explain that I had a small chip in the corner of one of my big toes and that I might need to do some kind of tip there, but we could wait and see how bad it looked once she took my nail polish off. I looked down at one point and she was applying this gel type paste to my toe. I don't know what she used and she didn't say anything before she started. Again, Perhaps I should've spoken up at that time, but the language barrier was equally difficult with her as well, and it didn't seem like we were communicating effectively with one another from the start. When I go to check out, there's an additional charge for eight dollars and the guy checking me out didn't know what it was for initially - turns out she charged me $8 without asking/before applying the paste to my toenail for the chip. I also paid and extra $10 for a manicure that I don't believe I received. Oh and sometimes it can be hard to tell while they're applying S&S, but the color that I chose is definitely not the color that was put on my nails. Was in the same realm, but I compared it to the colors afterwards because they were still sitting next to me and I matched it to something different pretty easily. I know it's partially on me because perhaps I should've challenged the cost more before I paid, and spoken up in the moment more insistently about all of these things, but it was just an uncomfortable experience and when my friend and I tried to communicate with them throughout (she was sitting next to me and tried to help a few times) it was hard to tell if they were understanding us because we had trouble understanding them. We did kind of say something to the gentleman that was checking us out, and he said sorry and gave me an extra punch on a card, which is nice I guess but didn't really do it for me in this situation. I've been in search of a good nail salon, and this one had excellent reviews. I needed both my SNS nails redone and a pedicure, so I called in and got there about 15 minutes after it opened on a Sunday. It was already fairly busy, and it was very open, airy, and spacious inside. The music was a nice, contemporary mix combined with some R&B classics (Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me" come on at one point). I had a facial that afternoon, and I initially was unsure if I was going to be finished in time. I was so wrong! They finished both my pedicure and my SNS in about an hour (actually, about 50 minutes). I would have liked the gentleman who did my nails to be a bit friendlier as he was a little brusque in his execution. He did a phenomenal job on my nails though and was super efficient and quick. After 4 days my nails lifted, and gel pedicure chipped. I go back to get it fixed and they tell me they can only fix my toes, I would have to come back the next day to fix my nails. I initially expressed to my nail tech that I was worried this would happen when she was doing my nails because she didn't take the time to remove the acrylic that had previously lifted. I am very disappointed with the quality of work, and blatant disregard for the my time. I was so excited to visit this place. Upon entering i was told one price, but like many other reviews mention, once you get to checkout the price almost doubles. The real problem was the service as i wont don't think its kind to negotiate services after work is done, I rather just pay and not return. The nail tech began doing my nails and just a few seconds in cut me and I began to bleed from the middle of my mail bed. She explained it happened all the time and the blood will stop. I in fact kept bleeding until it was tome to put the acrylic on and she insisted that the acrylic would stop the blood. I asked her if that is safe for my body and mentioned that i may need to come back. She cut almost all of my fingers while filing and they were all painful but this one was bleeding. I was receiving a pedicure at the same time and you guessed it.. extremely rough, toes were also bleeding near the cuticle. I am in perfect health and this never happens. I went in the salon with a design i wanted for an event i had coming up but stopped the service after the acrylic was laid and filed due to discomfort. When i got to the counter i was charged almost double what i was quoted even though i never received any designs. That evening while driving my fingers began to hurt so badly holding the steering wheel was uncomfortable. I emailed the owner photos and asked to come back but when i arrived, the door was locked, and the owner was no longer answering the phone. My fingers kept hurting, and I proceeded to urgent care later that night as I could no longer grip my cell phone because of the pain. I called the owner back the next day to explain the situation, and the owner said to me the only way I could receive a refund is if they were to take the acrylic off of my hands. I explained that myself nor the nurse that I saw think it's a good idea for them to touch my hands again, especially with it being in this much pain and I could do a soak off. The owner insisted that I come and let them take it off. Over the next few days my fingers begin to swell at the cuticle even more and I ended up having to get a steroid shot in two of my fingers to get rid of the swelling and pain. I called the owner again to explain what was happening and he insisted that the text said there was no problems when she was doing my nails. Naturally I'm not a confrontational person so i wrote this place off but I too was warned before i went.
