My favorite place in Alpharetta! I looked hard for a good salon and tried at least 6 places until I tried them. I've gone at least 5 times and I won't be going anywhere else. I'm very particular about my cuticles and my nails being filed evenly, and they pay close attention to detail so you don't walk out and notice imperfections later. The salon is clean and they are very friendly. I even took a 4 and 6 year old once and they were't very accommodating. I've never given a yelp review before but my experiences with then made me want to share! read more

I go to D nails pretty often because it's so close to my house. They have some amazing technicians but also some unbearable ones. A friend of mine and I had the same horrible experience where the pedicure tech dug so deep that we could barely walk the next day. I can't in good faith write them a bad review bz sometimes they're amazing but when it's bad it's bad. I'll try to get names of the technicians to ask for since I'll probably go back for convenience. read more

Let me start out with saying I'm so sad this place is far from my house. I was in the area running errand and needed a gel manicure for the weekend. Sarah was my nail tech and she's the best I've ever had, in 4 states! I have terribly dry skin and crummy cuticles and she took her time and cleaned them up. This is the best my nails have ever looked. Good conversation too! I will probably make the 30 min trip back up in the future. Thanks again Sarah! read more

I had been to this location once before and my gel manicure came out wonderfully and lasted for 3 weeks. However this past Saturday I went to get a gel mani/pedi and the polish started chipping off in days. I didnt have time to go back until today (Friday) to have it fixed. Before I went in person I called to explain the situation and see how the issue would be handled. The gentlemen on the phone told me to just come in and they would take care of it. I got there and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was sitting at the front desk. I again explained the situation and he motioned me to a chair. I sat down and immediately a full mani pedi began. I have had other experiences in salons where if there were multiple issues within a week of a previous service it was policy to do a full redo. So that's what I assumed was happening. However at the end of the service they attempted to charge me the full amount of $75. I explained that this was supposed to be a correction for Saturday's issues. At first I was told they would only take off 10%, which I didn't think was fair as I was upfront in that I was seeking to get the multiple chipped nails fixed and I wasn't the one who asked for the full mani pedi. I offered to pay 80% and take it as a lessoned learned in better communication, but they said they would only take off 80% of the gel portion of the charges, so long story short I ended up having to pay $66. I'll take ownership of the fact that I should have confirmed that I wouldn't be charged before sitting down. However, as they knew I had only come back today due to a poor quality mani-pedi that had been done less than a week before, they should have confirmed that only a correction of the chipped nails would be done for free. read more

They are Rude Rude Rude!!!..Unprofessional!!!.. Zero Stars!!!..They cut every single finger of mine when they removed the cuticles!..I'm in a lot of pain..They don't care..Even hot stones burned my feet..They are Butchers and trying to rush you out...I asked for something to calm the pain and they refused multiple times..The lady even told me it's my fault for coming late...They were talking about me in their language and laughing..Even interrupting me while I called my husband to help me...Long Story..The whole staff turned on me.. 7 against one..I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau and Health Inspector tomorrow.. Worst nail experience of my entire life. I have gotten mani/pedis every two weeks since being in high school. While visiting my family in Alpharetta, I decided to come to this shop. While in the pedicure chair, the technician informed me that I had "ingrown toe nails," which I said seemed unlikely since no one had ever mentioned that to me before and they didn't ever hurt. She then took it upon herself to cut these supposed nails out (without asking or permission) which resulted in blood everywhere and a GAPPING hole on my toe that hurt for almost two weeks following this pedicure. With respect to the manicure, I got a gel mani and this has been the only time I have ever had it chip and peel after a week. Not to even mention they cut my fingers trying to cut my cuticles. Absolutely awful experience. I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

They are horrible and I'm over it. The manager is rude and racist. I scheduled an appointment with the nail tech and the feet tech, and when I arrived they were both working on other clients. After waiting 15 minutes, the feet tech invited me in and started my pedicure. 45 minutes later when she was finishing up, the nail tech came over after working on another client the entire time I was there, and offered his services, which I quickly declined. The manager stated you aren't allowed to make an appointment with 2 techs at one time, and yet you're allowed to make the appointment. If I were of another decent, I bet I wouldn't have been treated this way. Black people stay away, you're not wanted here! read more

Came with a friend to get a full set, since the last place I went to was terrible. I got Kristie and she is simply amazing, she looked at my nails and said what happened? lol i said the same thing too. she was able to fix them to make them look thinner and longer just by shaping them. she always hooks me up when I go, I trust her color judgement and what she thinks. Update: It has been over one year and there are no changes. D Nails' consistency to provide a flawless mani and pedi is remarkable. Never did I go in and was not able to get exactly the style I saw on the internet. Each visit I was received with patience and great suggestions. I always received compliments for their work. I decided to take a job in DC and almost cried as I received my last service from them. I will miss Kim, Dan, Aimee, Tiny and Nancy so much. Give them a try and you will definitely find a new nail home. read more

If I can give a lower rating, I totally would. Their closing hours at 8, not 7:30. So when I walked in at 7:35, they said they were closed and took their last customer at 7:30. I'm EXTREMELY picky when it comes to manicures, but this place definitely met my expectations. The overall experience was great -- nice facility, clean, great massage. But the most important aspect to me is how my nails look at the end. I've been to so many nail salons where the polish is everywhere -- on my skin, on my cuticle, or it looks streaky or too thick. Tina is the best -- definitely request her! I actually started out with another manicurist and I really didn't like the job she did. Tina could tell I wasn't happy so she removed the polish and re-did it. She did a much better job. I highly recommend this place! read more

I will never go back to this establishment. While I have been to this place before and enjoyed my experience, this last time was enough to make me never go back. I asked for a regular manicure and pedicure, nothing too advanced. Well, during my pedicure I felt an intense amount of pain and looked down and saw my toes BLEEDING. While I let them know that it hurt, they did nothing to stop the bleeding. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to realize that when blood has been drawn it might be a good time to stop what is currently being done. Instead of wiping the blood and letting the cut heal itself, instead the technician painted over the cut and left me not only with an intense amount of burning, but also a ring of crusted up blood around the toe. After the painful pedicure I had hoped that the manicure would be better...it wasn't. This time around I requested no polish on my hands due to the blood. I currently have one finger and two toes wrapped in a band-aid with antibiotic ointment on to prevent infection. read more

Implements came out of serile package but it was not sealed. The implements had clearly been used previously (nail dust, finger prints, etc ) My nails were filed so roughly that I still have 2 cuts (almost 2 weeks later) And I asked for an American manicure but got a french. I could have complained but was running out of time. Gel manicure took about an hour. read more

Great nail shop located in the Target shopping strip across from North Point Mall. This place is located next to Five Guys. I've been coming here for about a year now. My favorite nail technician moved from another location to D Nails and I make the trip to the north point area just for her! That's saying a lot as this is a 15-20 min drive and there are 4 nails shops less that 5 min from my house. Go see Kristy for your manicure and Mai is amazing for a pedicure! read more

Have been here before and usually get good service, however today was horrible. Came in for a gel mani and french pedi, and left with my big toe bleeding because the guy decided to dig too deep to cut my cuticles. Same thing happened with my nails, my toe is hurting when I walk and to top it off my feet still had some dry skin on them when I left. I won't be returning. Whats the point in paying $44 for a deluxe pedicure with callus removal and still have to tend to my feet myself? read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Worst experience ever!! Customer service 0!! My friend and I went here yesterday. She had a pedi and I had a pedi and acrylic nail removal. My friend's lady was so rude and clipped her skin a few times (no apology). It was so painful today that she had to put an ice pack on it. My lady proceeded to cut my nails down and just pulled off the first nail!! She didn't seem to have a clue how to remove them. She then soaked them in acetone and left me for about 30 mins while she did someone else. My nails are so weak and soft because they were left in acetone for so long. Her work standard was very poor. Will NOT be back and I don't recommend anyone else go either. read more

Came in with a friend, we both wanted pedicures... They out is on opposite sides of the room even though there were two chairs next to each other. Then I got sat next to a lady who was getting her acrylic nails shaved down (practically on top of me) while getting a pedicure and all the dust was blowing in my face. I almost instantly felt dizzy and felt like I was going to pass out. Once my pedicure actually started the service wasn't great, because they can't understand a word of English. They had to keep calling the only girl over that actually speaks fluent English. I was burnt on the bottom of my foot by the "hot stones" they use for the pedicure. Afterwards my friend told me that her lady was also way too rough on her and felt like she was constantly being cut into. At the end our nails looks good, but the experience was terrible. Not to mention it was $38 for a pedicure that wasn't a wen enjoyable. read more

I use to go to D nails for a pedicure all the time when I worked across the street. I haven't been in about a year and decided to go back today since I was in the area. I requested the regular pedicure and manicure as I only had an hour and a half before my next appointment. I thought that would be plenty of time for both. During my pedicure 7 of my 10 cuticles were cut. It was the most painful pedicure I've ever had. He was definitely rushing through it and there was no apology given for his roughness. My toes nails were left shaped crooked as well. By the time the girl came over for my manicure there wasn't enough time for me to have them painted after the manicure. I was still charged full price for the manicure. I never complain especially about something as trivial as getting my nails done. But the fact that I spent $50 and had an awful experience makes me so upset. Hopefully this was an off day for D nails and the service is usually better. Unfortunately they have lost my business in the future. read more

If I could post 0 stars, I would! I went there on a whim after crazy Christmas shopping at the mall. I asked for the spa pedicure because I thought it was a great price at $22. I should have checked the place out first before sitting down. The floor was filthy. They didn't seem to use packaged sanitary utensils and the woman who did me hurt me a LOT. Every time I jumped she slightly laughed thinking she tickled me. I told her she was hurting me. There was NOTHING spa like about my pedicure; I've actually received better ones for a LOT cheaper elsewhere. I just tried to get through it since I was already sitting down. The only nice thing about my pedi was the paint job. Needless to say I will NOT be back and I was very disappointed. I even said to the gentleman who charged me, "There was nothing SPA about that pedicure." And he IGNORED me while taking my CC. Terrible customer service! read more

Yes! This nail salon has great service & the staff are very friendly but after I've gotten my nails done over three times, I am now experiencing FUNGI on both my big toes and my finger nails. My left big toe has come off completely! and now my right toe nail is beginning to come off! I took my own nails off of my fingers and i have a fungi on at least three of my fingernails. I am so disgusted! I refuse to receive services from D nails any longer. This is a disaster! read more
