Took my daughter (who is homeschooled) to get a pedicure. She's 12, CLEARLY a child, just somewhat tall. They have a special deal for 12 and under to get a "Princess pedicure" that includes a cute little design. I communicated at the counter that she's 12, my statement was acknowledged and we were seated. The girl at the front counter was SO sweet. After being seated and feet into the water, ready to relax, the manager walks over and accosts me regarding her age saying she isn't 12. I assured her she was. The woman confidently tells me she doesn't believe me and demands to see her "ID", which no child holds or has. She requests identification and "proof" of her age over and over again. I let her know she was getting unprofessional and disrespectful, she continued. I eventually just got up and told my daughter I would take her across the street. The woman continued making rude comments all the way out the door. For context sake, the difference she was chastising me over was $10 and there were two other people being serviced in the entire salon. So unprofessional and rude, I am highly disappointed. We have been business owners across the street and own a storefront inside the North Point Mall for over 4.5 years and as a fellow business owner, I am always hesitant to leave a negative review. But this experience was something worth writing about. I would never recommend this location and instead will be directing all business to the new nail salon inside of North Point Mall where Andy is wonderful and his entire staff is kind and friendly. read more

This is now the standard I will hold all other pedicures against. My feet are soft and smooth. The nail art design is cute. The service was impeccable. The facility is clean. They did not miss any detail. The massage chairs felt more comfortable than usual. I was immediately asked if I would like a cold beverage. The selection of nail colors was better than the last few salons I've been to. And the overall service was just to notch. Let me tell you, this was my first time but will not be my last. Disappointed by Poor Service--but Grateful for YesINails! (Across divider) I saw an ad on Instagram promoting a special, so I called ahead to ask if it was still running and what time they closed. I mentioned I'd be coming before 7 PM. I drove an hour to get there, only to arrive at 6:03 PM and be told I needed an appointment to receive the special--and that their last client is taken at 6 PM. None of this was mentioned on the phone, and I was never asked if I wanted to book an appointment. I was clear about my arrival time and asked about the special, so there was no reason that shouldn't have been communicated. This was a clear lapse in customer service and honestly a frustrating waste of my time. It was two people very aggressively talking to me which became over whelming for me as well. BUT--silver lining! Right across the highway, I found YesINails, and they welcomed me with open arms. Not only did they take me in immediately, but they also honored the same special pricing, provided beautiful work, and delivered top-tier customer service. I left feeling appreciated and taken care of. So my strong recommendation: skip the confusion and go to Yes I Nails (just 2 minutes away). They made the whole experience worth it. read more

I drove an hour after seeing their special promoted on Instagram and now I see why they are doing the sale. Beautiful salon but no one was in it. I picked a design from their Instagram to ensure it could be achievable... so I thought the lady who tried to do the design got frustrated with me because she couldn't do a design that was on their social media. She said the pictures were "photoshopped" . My nails for my vacation look nothing like what I asked for. I didn't want to cause trouble after seeing how upset she was getting so I just let her continue. The young girl at the front desk was very helpful in trying to give her suggestions. I wouldn't recommend this place and if the owner is seeing this please reach out to me for a full refund. She didn't take time to put quality work out. I had to ask her to cover spots that were missing. I'm not sure if she was new or not as particular as salons I'm use to. Sales and promotions are great but to keep people coming back you may need additional skilled nail techs. The tech beside me spoke up and said they can only get nails 85% like the picture. I was looking for a new place to get a pedicure and this place came highly recommended by the local Mom's group. I can easily say I had the absolute worst pedicure of my life. The massage chair didn't work which I understand is a first world problem but it's an added bonus when you do visit a nail place to have the massage. Then I now know why they wear stuff to protect their hands when putting the gel on the bottom of your feet that softens the skin, because it burns like hell. I found this out when it got all over my legs and ankles. My legs are still burning and my ankles look burnt. I got one of the higher level pedicures and it had the jelly substance, which I got to enjoy for all of five minutes before he dissolved it. I had maybe a 2 to 3 minute massage. I got paraffin wax, which was only put on my heels and again. I got to enjoy it for all of two minutes so that was wasted. I'm used to sitting for an hour maybe an hour and a half to get a really good pedicure I was in and out in 42 minutes. And the majority of that 42 minutes was him painting my nails. In all honesty, I was so ready to go and so fed up. I haven't even looked at my toes to see how they look. I won't waste that $70 ever again. Oh and to add to it...I should've looked bc when I got home one of my nails has no polish on it!!!! read more

Natalie, one of their technicians, does a good job with both pedicure and manicures but that's not enough for me. Reading their responses to the reviews people posted makes me feel I would never give them another chance. Kindness and professionalism are way to important for me. There are nail salons all over the place, I would recommend being mindful of how they treat their customers if they want to stay in business. read more

We came in today for the birthday boy and it was an amazing experience. We came on a Friday afternoon so there was zero wait time. They accommodated 2 pedicures and a deluxe mani all at once. Our pedicurist both were so personable and friendly. The quality of service was great making sure we were satisfied before we left. The prices were exactly as listed on their website which is very well done. I'm not from this area but will definitely come back. I feel my money was well spent. I thought that it would be too late, but they welcomed me and got me seated immediately. The entire atmosphere and ambience that they have curated is beautiful. They are separate areas for the pedicures as well as manicures and other services that have to do with your hands. Lol. The individuals that completed my pedicure in full set or great customer service reps. The conversation was your best, and they catered to me by not only offering water, but a place to even plug my phone in. Now to the actual service, the pedicure was reasonably priced and came with a scrub as well as massage. The woman that completed it was efficient, gentle, and attentive. Since it was close to closing, they did, the full sat at the same time. The gentleman that worked on my hands was pretty awesome and I wished I got his name. I loved the service at castle. Although I was not offered any drinks, the nail professional was very nice. They gave me insurance on my nails in case they chipped in 7 days, but on the 8th or 9th day, BOTH my thumb and another nail started to chip on the ends. New, immaculate, masked and careful!! The manager Nyia is very professional, even makes you sanitize before looking and choosing a color ! Everyone is masked that works there and up to you if you want to . They serve wine, beer, soda and water , have I think 12 large screen TV's. It's has plenty of parking (next to TJ Max) and offer 8 different pedicures , SNS, Gel, waxing and tinting. Staff is very good and professional, no one is talking on their phone (employees) and they have a sign that ask you yo turn volume down on cell phone and to please keep it off speaker . I am so disgusted by this place. This was my first time here and I will not be back. The man removing my acrylics (which I got somewhere else) popped them off instead of soaking them causing major damage to my nail beds. Then he had the nerve to get upset at me for asking for a soak off. He kept claiming he was pretty much done and he just needed to file. Which he wasn't. There was still acrylic on my nails. He completely butchered my natural nails leaving me with 0 length. He then used HIS OWN NAILS TO SCRATCH OFF THE REMAINING ACRYLIC. COMPLETELY UNSANITARY. AVOID IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR NAILS HEALTHY. ICheck out the reply from the business. They refuse to acknowledge their disgusting and unsanitary conditions. I will gladly take my money elsewhere. This is not how you treat customers. I refused to let him touch my nails after he continually damaged them and left them in such poor conditions my nails were peeling. I should have let this man continue to butcher me? I think not. My issue isn't that the service was stopped before it was finished. My issue was that irreparable damage was done to my nails DURING the service. Nothing can fix permanent damage to my nails even if the service was completed. I was not going to let this man further damage my nails. I did not cause any issues in the store. I simply got up and told him I was done with the service. I did not yell or scream and even paid. I would have told someone at the front except there was no one at the front. The man who did my nails was the one who managed the appointments and front of house. So who should I have complained to? The other workers who were clearly busy and providing services to other customers?They clearly have no issues lying about a customer to try and haphazardly patch together their shoddy reputation. This business clearly has no idea what customer service is. I think it's hilarious that they texted me clearly acknowledging they were in the wrong and then proceeds to berate me on here for talking about my experience. Again my big issue was the unsanitary and harmful way this man removed my nails. No amount of service can erase damage done to nails due to improper acrylic removal. read more

I visited today for a simple nail repair, D was great. The brow wax is what made my day terrible. I was very specific about NOT wanting thin brows, as I have very thick eyebrows. When the mirror was turned around to me I couldn't believe my eyes! Not only were they thin, they're severely uneven!! This shapes my face and I look like the early 2000's. The staff weren't empathetic at all and only gave me a refund because other patrons were listening. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE patronize this salon. Giving 3 stars because Kim and Lilian were great! Advertising "under new management", but really they were sold. New name pending. That means any points you may have had will not be honored. Went in tonight for SNS and a pedicure. Selected the jelly. There was no jelly anything. They have changed products and the new pedicure product is terrible. The jelly didn't gel, the exfoliating stage was flat and had no texture to it at all and the mask was this like lotion and did not cover any part of my leg. I brought this to the attention of the manger upon check out who said he'd mention it to the owner but did not offer any discount at all- I'm not suggesting I get a free pedicure, but maybe charge me for the one a step down since I did not get the JELLY part of my JELLY PEDICURE. They also increased the price for SNS, and they charged me $5 to cut back the growth I've had since they did my nails 2 weeks ago. I wish I had had a different experience tonight as I would've loved to have gone back to Kim (SNS) and Lilian (pedicure), but when management offers a lousy first time customer experience and have terrible products, AND have increased prices- I can't justify it. I just can't. They lost 2 very loyal clients today, myself and my daughter. VERY disappointed and do NOT recommend. read more

The tech was so rough with my cuticles that 3 were bleeding. Regarding the gel manicure....very lazy work from the nail tech. He rounded my nails when I specifically requested square. He didn't push back or trim my cuticles. He also didn't apply any cuticle oil or lotion after my manicure. I will not be returning to this salon. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

I am severely disappointed in my experience at Castle Nail Bar. I had a 5:00pm nail appointment and was not actually getting my nails done until 6:20, nor was I spoken to by any of the workers to just tell me what was going on. The website is misleading. I paid for "Sns with extensions" as posted on the website saying to cost $55.00 but was additionally charged for extensions again. After asking where the extra cost came from, I was not given a reasonable explanation and was not given any compensation back until the manager himself came out. I was then given a $5.00 gift card, which is ultimately useless to me since I will never be coming back here. I don't recommend this place unless you want to be overcharged for poor service. read more

Castle mail bar is a beautiful place. The decor is elegant. Several TVs are available which are kept on HGTV or Food Network- great choice. Prices are not too high. However, I do think some of the techs could use some mentoring. For example, eating and chewing lunch while doing your nails is not good. read more
