I'm a curious homeowner and I want to be involved on work at my home. We waited for the actual pump truck to arrive but it took only about 20 min. He had the covers up and was assessing how full it was in the meantime. The 2 guys from the pump truck were very friendly. They all work well together. At the end I went over the charges one at a time bc if I'm spending thousands on my home, I want to understand and approve of the numbers. He didn't mind at all. It took about 1.5 hours for the service give or take. They didn't leave a mess behind and our inspection papers will be filed. I can't say enough good things about this company. The office staff messaged me thru my yelp project which sent the convo to my phone via text. Receipt is emailed along with photos. Straightforward. Easy. Simple. One word of advice that if you decide to stay outside to watch and learn and look into the tank to see the before and after you will feel nausuous. Just by chance, I found them on an internet search and knew it was a prayer answered when Ashlynn called me back to let me know they had a pump truck available and on its way. We weren't sure why, or what the problem(s) were but they understood the importance of having "facilities" for my 88 year old, non-mobile mother. About an hour later- the pump truck pulled in. Duck was GREAT! We chatted, laughed and learned a bit about not only what he was seeing but also the next steps to be taken. Because Duck understood our situation and showed up, we could get through the night with my mother. Thank you Duck!!! First thing the next morning (Saturday) Ashlynn phoned to let us know she and Evit were on their way. After lots of trouble - shooting, it was determined an electrician would be required. I phoned my electrician and he was an hour away. Ashlynn and Evit had squeezed us in before a planned family gathering so they left to attend. Mike came out and quickly determined that the problem was with the plastic zip ties securing our septic floats. He replaced the plastic ties with metal ones so we shouldn't have the same problem again. What impressed me most was how Mike handled the entire situation. He has over 20 years of experience, was extremely knowledgeable, professional and straightforward, and took the time to explain what was happening rather than trying to turn a relatively simple problem into an expensive service call. And then came the biggest surprise: Economy Septic charged us nothing for the visit or the repair. That kind of service is increasingly difficult to find. They could easily have charged us a service-call fee, and we would have expected to pay it. Instead, Mike simply identified the problem, fixed it properly and took care of us. Positives: Responsive foreman who handled escalation professionally and refunded upcharges. Bottom line: The overall experience was frustrating and ultimately left my sewer issue completely unresolved. While I appreciate management stepping in to rectify the billing, I cannot recommend them based on my experience. The Details: I specifically reached out to A-Advance to service an E/One sewer system. E/One units are notoriously specialized, so before booking, I explicitly asked the front office if they were equipped to handle them. They assured me they were. On that basis, I agreed to their $250 base call-out fee. When the technicians arrived, they informed me on-site that they cannot actually repair E/One systems if a component is broken. They attempted a basic flush for a grease blockage, stating that was the extent of their ability. Sure enough, 15 minutes after they left, the system alarm was blaring again, leaving me back at square one. The front-office communication throughout was equally disappointing: * No-show communication: On the original appointment date, a windstorm knocked out my power 10 minutes before arrival. Understandably, they couldn't perform the work - no big deal I get that. However, instead of notifying me, the truck pulled into my driveway and simply drove off. I had to call the office twice (getting hung up on the first time) to get rescheduled. They didnt attempt to reach me. * Surprise billing & no receipts: My expected $250 fee turned into a $400 charge with no receipt or invoice provided at payment. Had the issue been resolved I likely would have left it there. As it wasn't, I called to request an itemized bill. I discovered add-ons for fuel surcharges, charges for disposables, and additional time charges. (These add ons were not anticipated and the extra time charge shouldnt have been included. We sat there chatting for 10 minutes before they informed me that they needed to round up their time... like come on.) The Resolution: I escalated my dissatisfaction to the foreman, who was polite, professional, and agreed to refund the extra line-item charges. I genuinely appreciate the foreman correcting the bill, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't have hired A-Advance had they been upfront about their scope with regard to inspecting and repairing the E/One unit. Takeaway: Verify their technical capabilities in writing before booking.

Our septic system backed up into our house last night after doing a load of laundry. Not a fun…read moreexperience, but I had pushed it too far, knowing the tank needed pumping a few years ago. My husband called them after hours and they got back to him first thing in the morning. We had an appointment this evening, which was far sooner than I expected. Michael and Dallas showed up already beat from a long day, but were friendly and very respectful of our property. While they took care of pumping out the tank, cleaning the filter and clearing the baffle, they took the time to explain to me what they were doing, why they were doing it, and showed me how to care for the system between regular service. They put up with me standing out there asking questions and were as gracious as they could be. They're also both incredibly hard workers who manage their time perfectly. 1000% I will be calling them for my regular service and recommending them to my friends and family. Not only were they timely, their prices do not break the bank.

I contacted hemleys during October 27th for a full septic tank that appeared to be failing. On Oct…read more27th they came out replaced a burned out pump and stated there was drawdown issues on our lateral lines. The 29th they came out again to try and diagnose/fix the issue. Eventually while we were at work they left, I got no phone call or communication and the massive hole in our yard filled back in destroying the landscape. I eventually reached someone by phone requesting an update, thinking our septic was resolved. One of the tehcs told us our DRAINFIELD has failed and they tried a temporary fix, but until it can be rectified pooling will occur in the yard if too much water used in the home. I was told on the phone by the tech that unfortunately this could be close to a 30k fix and it was left at that, with no guidance on what to do or where to go. I paid my bills right away to hemleys that week for the work they did complete. This process ended up taking Nov until February to rectify due to the misdiagnosis from hemleys. I had to pay $5000 to a drainfield designer pay numerous fees to the County for inspection which all took time. Meanwhile we had pooling in our yard and could not fully use our water and appliances in a house hold of 4. A massive 8ft by 8ft deep hole was in the center of our backyard all this time from testing by designer and county. Eventually, I found a very reputable septic company to complete the design work from the designer. Within hrs of the septic company starting the job and doing some basic diligence they discovered 2 of the 4 lines had valves closed/broken and that was all that needed to be replaced. Fortunately, this company was honest and came forward with the information. However, hemleys cost my family nearly 8k in unnecessary work hiring a designer, other fees all due to this misdiagnosed failing drain field. On April 22, 2026 I respectfully asked for a manager or owner of Hemleys to discuss this issue. I was told to provide the documents from the last company and they reviewed county records. I supplied this within minutes. I then never received a single phone call or update as I called daily until 4/30/26. I was consistently told the owner and or manager are not available on several days. And then the manager after 2 days of that stated the owner has not reviewed this yet. This was an extreme inconvenience to our household and costly due to the negligence that made for several months of an inoperable septic tank when this issue could have been resolved in a few hours like our newly hired company completed. At this time we have been blown off by this company we had used and recommended for years. Based on the data and information we have we will continue escalating this in the necessary manner legally as we have the emails sent to our designer from Hemleys supporting them diagnosing failing drain field, that in fact was no where near failing.
