(3/5 rounded up from a 2/5 as management attempted to help rectify the situation) Negatives: Upfront misinformation regarding capabilities, poor basic communication. Positives: Responsive foreman who handled escalation professionally and refunded upcharges. Bottom line: The overall experience was frustrating and ultimately left my sewer issue completely unresolved. While I appreciate management stepping in to rectify the billing, I cannot recommend them based on my experience. The Details: I specifically reached out to A-Advance to service an E/One sewer system. E/One units are notoriously specialized, so before booking, I explicitly asked the front office if they were equipped to handle them. They assured me they were. On that basis, I agreed to their $250 base call-out fee. When the technicians arrived, they informed me on-site that they cannot actually repair E/One systems if a component is broken. They attempted a basic flush for a grease blockage, stating that was the extent of their ability. Sure enough, 15 minutes after they left, the system alarm was blaring again, leaving me back at square one. The front-office communication throughout was equally disappointing: * No-show communication: On the original appointment date, a windstorm knocked out my power 10 minutes before arrival. Understandably, they couldn't perform the work - no big deal I get that. However, instead of notifying me, the truck pulled into my driveway and simply drove off. I had to call the office twice (getting hung up on the first time) to get rescheduled. They didnt attempt to reach me. * Surprise billing & no receipts: My expected $250 fee turned into a $400 charge with no receipt or invoice provided at payment. Had the issue been resolved I likely would have left it there. As it wasn't, I called to request an itemized bill. I discovered add-ons for fuel surcharges, charges for disposables, and additional time charges. (These add ons were not anticipated and the extra time charge shouldnt have been included. We sat there chatting for 10 minutes before they informed me that they needed to round up their time... like come on.) The Resolution: I escalated my dissatisfaction to the foreman, who was polite, professional, and agreed to refund the extra line-item charges. I genuinely appreciate the foreman correcting the bill, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't have hired A-Advance had they been upfront about their scope with regard to inspecting and repairing the E/One unit. Takeaway: Verify their technical capabilities in writing before booking. read more

This is our second time using Advanced Septic, and it will probably be our last. Our camera footage shows that the technician started work at 10:01 a.m. After completing the diagnostics and repair, the technician returned to his truck at 11:05 a.m. He then came to our front door at 11:47 a.m. with a bill charging us for one hour and 50 minutes. When I asked why we were being charged for the full hour and 50 minutes, the technician explained that they charge for the entire time they are on-site. Based on the camera footage, it appears that he spent approximately 42 minutes in his truck after completing the work, which I assume was spent preparing an estimate or completing paperwork. I then called customer service to confirm the company's billing policy, and I was told that charging for the entire time a technician is on-site is not how they operate. We were charged $606.00, so this discrepancy is very concerning. I would like an explanation of how the 1 hour and 50 minute charge was calculated and why we were told two different things about the company's billing policy. read more

After years of using AA, today's experience was the final straw. We will not use this company again. Our septic alarm recently went off. AA had worked on this system previously, including rebuilding the float assembly about a year ago. When we contacted them about the problem, they refused to come out and investigate unless we agreed to pay a $240 service-call charge. Given that the float assembly had been worked on relatively recently, I felt they should at least determine whether the problem was related to their previous work before requiring another $240 service charge. Instead, I called Economy Septic in Roy, a family-run business. Mike came out, quickly determined that the problem was simply failed plastic zip ties on the floats, and replaced them with metal ties that should not fail in the same manner. He was knowledgeable, professional and straightforward, with more than 20 years of experience. They charged me nothing for the visit or the repair. That experience was quite a contrast and reinforced concerns I've had about AA from a much more expensive experience last year. At that time, we had a backup in our septic system. AA told us the line needed to be scoped from inside our house. We specifically asked about scoping backward from the septic tank toward the house and were told that doing so could potentially cause the scope to travel into the home's electrical system and be dangerous. Based on that advice, we paid to have the system scoped from inside the house. We were then told the apparent blockage was underneath our concrete patio, which obviously raised the possibility of a very expensive repair. We subsequently consulted another septic professional who questioned why the line hadn't simply been scoped backward from the tank. Based on that advice, I went back to AA and insisted that they scope it from the tank. When they did, the blockage was found relatively close to the tank--not underneath our concrete patio. The issue was ultimately resolved, although our yard near the tanks had to be excavated during this process of investigation. By the time everything was sorted out, we had spent thousands of dollars on diagnosis and scoping. Looking back, much of that initial diagnostic expense appears to have been unnecessary. Today's experience was enough for us to finally move on. After being long-standing customers, we have lost confidence in AA's approach to diagnostics, warranty-related issues, service-call charges, and standing behind previous work. read more

Called on Friday to have septic pumped. They set up an appointment for Monday between 8 AM and 6PM. We called around 11:30 to check in, they advised it would be after 2:00 PM and the would give us 30 minute notice of arrival. We received a text telling us again it would be sometime after 2PM and would again give us 30 minute notice. At 5:50 we called again and they advised us they could not make it tonight and would like to reschedule for Wednesday!! We have family from out of state visiting us on a beautiful NW day and we waited all day for these guys to show and they are a no show. When we told them just to cancel, they offered a $25 discount! Not very good service. We called another company who will be out tomorrow!!! If I could give them no stars I would! read more

Andrew was friendly, fast and was very knowledgeable. I had 3 people recommend these guys and I'll be using them again in 5 years.

Easy to book an appointment, they came the same day within 4 hours. Everyone was super nice and patient with us. Cody and his partner that came out to the house were amazing! Super informational about the septic system and the draining price was reasonable. Thank you guys again, y'all saved the day! read more

+ 1 star for some progress since original review... Thank you for reducing the invoice by aprox 40%; we appreciate the adjustment. However, the concerns raised in my original review remain unresolved. Since posting the review, my partner has received several calls from your company regarding reduced payment. Each time, she asked about details behind the adjusted invoice and contract and not receiving those, she directed the caller to contact me directly. Yet despite your public statement that you wanted to address our concerns, no one has reached out to me. Since last Thursday, we have contacted your office two separate times requesting clarification and an itemized breakdown. On each occasion, we were told someone would call back, but those callbacks never occurred. Kayleigh, your response speaks to addressing concerns and improving the customer experience, but that has not reflected our experience. The outstanding questions remain unanswered, promised follow-ups have not happened, and multiple attempts have been made to charge the card on file while we are still seeking basic information about the invoice. To be clear, we have never disputed that XX payment is owed, nor was our concern that the repair attempt was unsuccessful. Our concern has always been the lack of transparency regarding the charges and the repeated failure to follow through on promised communication. Rather than asking us again to contact you and your company, I would simply ask that someone do what has already been promised multiple times: contact me directly and provide an articulated explanation of the charges and terms of contract. After failing our septic inspection last fall, it took nearly six months to get the project approved and installed. We were under pressure to complete the work this spring so we could list and sell our home as planned. We received four bids and chose A Advanced Services because they offered the best value. They did exactly what they said they would do, on the terms they quoted. There was some damage to our new driveway during the backfill process, which was frustrating. However, A Advanced stepped up, took responsibility, and made it right. It's refreshing to work with a contractor who follows through on their commitments. I would highly recommend A Advanced Services. read more

From the first contact, this company was friendly, professional, informative, and forthright. They walked me through what needed to be done, gave me a quote for the possible different issues they could possibly encounter, and scheduled their crews quickly to get things done. Seth and Noah worked through the system methodically, locating and clearing trouble areas until it was working properly. They protected my lawn and planting areas and restored areas where they had to dig to as good as before they came. We are very satisfied with the work, and the cost was a little less than quoted because they didn't have to do as much as they thought they would need to. We're very happy with the entire process. read more

I had the septic tank alarm and called the company for inspection. I can't believe I have paid $8894.03 upon their requests, and am being asked to pay more to make it total $10K. 1. They said the tank needed to be pumped, and charged me $1376.42; 2. Then they said the tank pumper needs to be replaced, and charged me $1763.43 3. After that, they said the issue was not fixed and said the upstairs pipeline was clogged. It turned out the pipeline was OK and nothing was wrong. But they charged me $459.90 4. Instead, they said the drain pipeline needs to be cleaned. And they charged me $5294.30 5. That's totally $8894.03 So far they haven't told me if the issue has been fixed or not, and if the septic tank system is fully working or not, but kept asking me to pay another $851.91, which was for a guy to come onsite on 1st day and call me that he had made the trip but could not do anything before the tank was pumped. The company said originally that they could waive the charge if I chose to replace the tank pumper. After all of the above I have the reasons to believe that the whole process was a scam and they just ripped off me. It could happen to you in future, so be cautious. I think it is necessary to file complaints to AGO, UTS, and more for the company to make proper corrections. read more

Joshua and helper were great! Efficient and checked everything out! Will use this business again.

An honest review for anyone that is planning to contact this company for work that needs to get done. At this point I've stopped trying to contact them to repair anything they've already touched since I have realized they're a bunch of up sellers/scammers and I've been in contact with the BBB to shut these people down. You've been warned. I highly do not recommend you have these people come out. I think we've been charged roughly 2,000 dollars so far and the only they've done is misdiagnose the entire thing and try to upsell me on a job that I didn't need. This must be the only way they're staying in business. I was originally told by them I needed a new power line dug into the ground because I wasn't getting enough contact to my grinder pump. Mind you these are plumbers, not electricians. I actually have a 15 min video of the technician (Josiah) recorded telling us verbatim he isn't an electrician, yet at the same time he's doing electrical work without a permit it seems like and hacking my septic panel up. His solution was to run a 110 extension cord above ground to get it to temporarily work. (Not to code, super illegal) It never turned on again after he touched it. My next step was to call an actual electrician I know personally. He comes out and within minutes recommends I check my grinder pump. Turns out that was all it was. So I contact a different plumbing company to come out and replace just that. It literally works exactly the way it was suppose to using the exact same line under ground that didn't have proper "contact". I tried contacting A Advanced Septic for about a week asking them to come back and put all my electrical stuff back to the way it was before they touched it. It was currently turning on manually. Which was fine for the time being since at least we could get it to work and drain our septic system. Finally after a week and me verbally cussing them out, I was contacted back by "Andrew" who was the operations manager on duty that day and he would get someone to come to my house immediately to put it back to the way it was. Of course they send out another plumber. NOT AN ELECTRICAN. Here is where it gets really interesting. So you have one plumber (Andrew) whos talking to the first plumber(Josiah) who originally hacked up my entire septic system control panel and they're trying to figure out how to put it back to the way it was before but NEITHER OF THEM ARE ELECTRICANS. I don't know what he ends up doing for the hour he's "working" on it but he left my manually working grinder pump NOT working after he was done and continues to claim that I need a need a new power line dig into the ground. - I call the same electrician that previously diagnosed the grinder pump up and ask him to look over my panel and within seconds he sees they've PURPOSELY cut the wires short so there was hardly any contact to my septic panel. This was done maliciously and on purpose. What was suppose to be a simple grinder pump was turned into an upsell job that was 5-6K+ and I have all the documentation of it. Before and after pictures or before they tampered with my panel and after. Andrew the operations manager reached back out to me and kept stressing the fact that they would put it all back and make it look like "they we're never there to begin with" probably because they know I have all the proof to fucking bury them. Which is exactly what I intend on doing since they never came out and did anything right from the jump. This company has no integrity from the top of the chain all the way to the bottom. It's currently working on manual mode thanks to Reinhart Electric and Beacon Plumbing. I'm leaving it this way so it can be inspected and everything can be documented in my case against them. read more

Brian Sorensen, field Foreman showed up at our house at 5:30 PM. That is the only reason why they do not get five stars is when we called in the day before they committed to be to our house in the morning. However, that's not Brians responsibility. Brian did excellent work and was very understanding and compassionate of the condition that our septic tank was in and the impact to our home. He was very thorough and explaining everything that he was doing, the reasoning behind the requirement and he continually updated me on the status of the project over the three hour period of time. He educated me on things that we should've been doing differently and we will certainly take his recommendations so that we won't have the same condition to our tank. I would highly recommend Brian Sorensen and his team for septic tank work. read more

Techs were professional, knowledgeable and solved problem. We use AAdvance whenever issues and always satisfied.

Our property manager called this team out to do a regular inspection and low and behold they found problems. They insisted we needed to have our septic and storm drain system pumped as an "emergency " even though we had already done this to just the septic the year before. We paid just over $2k for this work. They then "discovered" we also needed a panel replaced (the home is 3 yrs old) and quoted us an additional $2.4k. We became very suspicious and had a different company come out who confirmed the panel was fine just a light bulb needed replacing and quoted us $400. Another company also explained to us storm systems fill up then empty out on own by design. I don't trust this company is being honest or that they fully understand how septics work with drain systems. Please get a second quote! read more

If you live in King County, dont call these people. They claim they can do it, they showed up, collect your money, said cant do that and double report you. RIP OFF. I m very angry with them. $300 for 15 mins and they didnt even touch a thing. They advertise Terra lift on their website so we called them. We just got our tank pumped couple days ago from a different company and we want Terra lift and they knew what we want and said they can do it. They came really quick, 10 mins they look around, my husband performed the drain test and gave them all the info. They didnt do NOTHING, didnt touch anything, didnt perform no test, and told us they CANNOT DO Terra lift because King County prohibits it. Oh Hi Hello? Then why advertise? Why came over for the Terra lift quote? They want to charge us $500 for their 15 mins of doing NOTHING? My husband was so nice to give them $300. But me? I want a refund. They didnt do nothing. They know they cant do what we need but still come out to get our money. I M FURIOUS. SERIOUSLY. The guy name Thomas who likes red is a joke. Yes. I will take me back the refund. My husband was too nice. Take your chance and deal with them next, I have more than enough. OHHH wait, and THEY REPORT US to the sh*t police AGAIN. So we have 2 reports within couple weeks. Yay! Thank you Thomas. I hope you have a better day than mine. read more

We shopped around, and got recommendations from friends. We didn't go with the cheapest, but got a good vibe when we made our first call to A Advanced. Although not an emergency, they were able to make it out the next day and did a great job not only with the pumping, but also discovered that a second was hidden beneath a portion of our concrete patio! The concrete lid was 2-feet below grade, so we had to saw out a corner of the patio to make room for another riser which will be installed later. (If Health Department Robert Scuggs' name is on your inspection, you may want to make sure he didn't miss what he missed with our system, which turned out to be a total of THREE access points that had been covered by the patio. We discovered the other two several years ago.) Anyway - We're glad that we went with A Advanced - Very nice folks who were at our home doing the work and got the job done and kept us informed throughout the whole process. read more
