TLDR: do not hire for anything other than spot repairs for leaking roofs…read more So we hired this company to repair a leak coming down in our garage. Sales person came out for review to make an assessment on what would be involved. In the conversation they offered to clean the roof, I told them there's a lot of moss up there and they said they could easily do that. Oh they cleaned something, just not the whole roof. They got the entire north side of my house covered in caked on globs of dirt. This included everything around there like my A/C exterior fan unit, my trash bins, my shed, my storage lockers and my deck boxes. They left a hose, my hose, on the roof and running all night long until my wife spotted it the next morning. My front hose was also used, I know this because instant of rolling it back up using the roll they just left it all piled up at the corner of my house. Now told them about this, and the person who responds just always says they'll get in touch with their "experts" and let me know. Eventually they came back to finish cleaning the roof and clean up the mess on the side of the house. They came and went then I got home and checked, looked like they took about two seconds to clean some of the side but ran off to their next project. It was in no way clean or even in the condition it was in prior to their work. As for the roof being cleaned and moss control applied, I can't get all the way up on the 2nd floor roof to know but my HVAC company came out to do some other work related to "Smokey cedar smell in air ducts, & they climbed up to the 2x!: floor and took photos. There was no moss control applied on the 2nd floor roof and miss was growing everywhere on the west back side, yes this was the very next day after M&H came. Cleaning and moss control were services we agreed M&H would do.m, but they clearly didn't yet still charged me for it. Oh and that donkey cedar smell? Sawdust in the HVAC exhaust line from roof & vent repairs. So basically the roofing company offered a series of services they never fully executed. I had to hire a different company to complete the gutter work and re-clean the lower & upper roofs and apply moss control up on the 2nd roof. Then I had to clean out my HVAC vents, and I had to wash and scrub the exterior of my house. How are they still in business is beyond me.

Although the project took longer than anticipated due to significant wood rot, they kept me informed every step of the way and thoroughly explained my options whenever a decision was required. The final cost came close to the estimates due to replacement of a few plywood. The only thing I was not very satisfied was that nobody contacted us when they changed the forecast date on our roofing project. I had to call the day before to find out they had to push the forecast date. However they did contacted us a few days before the new forecast date to confirm the start time of the project after talking to the staff.

What was different? The quote had attention to every detail and included higher quality materials, better design and superior workmanship. Also the quality of the service was exceptional- communication with the team and among the team was flawless. Our roof was mainly asphalt with a PVC section and needed plywood to be added on top of the old ship lap. It also needed venting - which can be tricky- especially providing intakes on a 1940s house. All this was included in the quote. They had no problem adding 2 skylights with no upcharge-save the cost of the skylights themselves. The team is up to date and educated on the latest advances and details of techniques. I am so thankful to have found Three Tree. I have worked with contractors extensively on two old properties over 20 years, and Three Tree was probably the best. Prior to hiring them I talked with my former roofer - who now only does very high end work(John Michael Roofing). He has seen many roofs and said Three Tree does good quality work. He also advised me to beware in hiring a roofer as there are many pitfalls. With that advice I proceeded with more caution than I would have otherwise!

Even though CRS Roofing knew about the breach since August, they didn't inform us, leaving us open to fraud. When we asked about it, the owner denied it happened, even though a digital forensics company confirmed it. This dishonesty has caused us significant financial loss and added extra stress during an already tough time. It's been overwhelming, affecting our daily lives and relationships. Now, we're stuck in legal battles because CRS Roofing expects us to help cover the invoice and legal fees, despite their negligence. This has made it even harder to focus on building our home and maintaining a stable family life. I truly hope no other family has to go through what we have. The main goal was for them to come out and clear the gutters for my tenants. They went above and beyond taking before and after pictures for me since I was not present. They were able to easily take care of some other home maintenance tasks for me; and from what I've heard from my tenants the gentleman that came out, Ryan, was respectful and professional with his customer service.

Ryan and his team after getting the job done also talked to me about the condition of my roof and told me how good of shape it was and how I wouldn't need a roof cleaning for 3-5 years. We are very impressed by all aspects of the process and the final product with Patriot Roofing on the project and gladly recommend the company. Of the three companies we invited to bid on the project, Patriot Roofing's cost was lower mid-range, but they brought a high level of quality and professionalism to the job, with foremost customer care and satisfaction. John Campopiano was a breath of fresh air, making a short but complete pitch noting several times that we should not just believe what he said, but rather we should verify. John's demeanor and comfortable explanation of the process was a selling point. He was the only one to make any mention that we needed to install a new plywood deck over the top of the original shiplap to accommodate the new shingles. Our home is 60 years old; we have owned it for 21 years, and it has seen a few roofing jobs--this is the second one for us; now we know why they didn't last. When we questioned him about the necessity of the plywood deck, as no one else mentioned it, he showed us the manufacturer's warranty guidebook and the page that explained it very clearly. We did our due diligence and verified that fact from the manufacturers web site. We felt that we would be taken care of responsibly at that point. The addition of the plywood actually makes the house feel more solid, quiet, and comfortable. Alejandro was the project team lead on site and arrived on time as expected. He introduced himself and his team members and began with a walk around the property and explanation of the process, asking if it was okay if they positioned their operations at particular points or not--a very nice change from most contractors that show up and do as they like. The company also brought in their own porta-potty to the site. We're always concerned for the survival of our landscaping ( and the countless hours that have gone into planting and care ). We needn't have worried as they took particular care not to damage our house or garden. The roofing team worked well together, helping each other out. Because of the trees in the front blocking access, they had to use a specialized truck to deliver the shingles to the roof and carry in all other materials. They made quick work of that and the removal of all old materials without damaging a single living thing. Every day when they left, the job site was cleaned and there were no stray nails left behind. When the crew felt all was complete, Alejandro and the crew confirmed that we were satisfied and then they packed up and left it clean as the day they showed up. They also sent an inspector, Mr. Alarcon, to see that all was done as they promised. To our surprise, two days later, Steve Campbell (the Company President), came to the house by appointment to enquire about our satisfaction with their installation. He provided a packet with 4 1/2 pages of photos of the job, in various stages, showing us how each important point of concern was addressed, such as the valley ice and water shield and starter strip. He also asked us for feedback on any aspect where we felt they could do better before requesting payment--a sign of real customer concern. We couldn't be happier, that is why we have already recommended Patriot Roofing to others. read more

5 stars, tho it could be only 4.95 because we did have one problem over the 3-day roofing project. A phone call to communicate the start of working the garage would've helped prepare that day. But other than that, it went as smoothly as possible and better than hoped. Difficult work site (see aerial view http://tinyurl.com/roofsite ), hard to access even to bring materials and remove cleanup. But, except for unavoidable noise inside, all was completed a bit quicker than expected. Pretty minor problem to complain about. Initial estimate was highest of three. However, it was also much closer to our expected cost; and John, salesman, did a superb job describing and planning the work. By the time that meeting was over, we believed Patriot was the right choice. Scheduling was an issue because of time of year -- September. Squirrel damage around flashing for a wood-stove pipe forced us to look into roofing a good 6 months before we intended. With winter coming, we didn't want wood fires heating up moss or who knows what the squirrel might have packed into the space it had opened up. Of course, with many other jobs going on, no full replacement could be started for weeks at best. Patriot sent a worker to examine whatever damage was immediately found and to ensure both existing roofing and flashing were made acceptable until actual job could start. We were okay with storm and other delays after that, and talked with Patriot a few times to try fitting them in as weather forecasts interfered. Sometimes heavy rain, and for one stretch snow and ice, made schedule tricky. House is 1980 chalet style with a major section of sharply pitched roof on a heavily forested hillside. We were as much concerned for worker safety as Patriot was, so eventual start was put off week by week until mid-January. Still, with detached 2-car garage, all roofing was complete in just under 3 days work, Monday thru Wednesday. We also had complete gutter replacement, going with Master Shield. Patriot scheduled them, and they showed up Friday morning, finishing after dark. Both crews, roofing and gutters, seemed intent on getting tasks finished efficiently and well. Work product seems quality all around after a month has passed. Days are short mid-January, but even daily cleanup was done with flashlights if needed. Weather was mostly calm tho often damp or even wet and always cold. Still, it was clear that all were pleased to be working. Plenty of talk and laughter all around, while all continued working apace. No standing around in idle chatter. Actually made us comfortable listening to their moods in the midst of the work noise. Only breaks we ever noticed were lunch hours. Even the follow-up meeting with Steve Campbell, Patriot president, was worth the time. Covered basic inspection and our impressions/concerns. Handed over info packets for materials and guarantees, and explained anything asked. Included photo history of the project, most particularly showing damage areas that needed repairs. Very complete and professional, from sales/estimate to final meeting. read more

This is late, due to thought I had written but when I went on yelp tonight for something else I noticed I must never sent it as I didn't see anything. So here we go again. In August of 2019 I had a different person "fix" my roof. Well rain came and so di leaks from the second floor to the first. (Which has never happened before. And what started out to be a metal roof replacement turned out to actually ruin all the old (9 year old home) OSB . The roof was never properly built. What we thought was a plywood roof ,due to plywood being used only on the outskirts of the roof to give the appearance, was actually 16 inch wide and then OSB used. Insulation was not to code and shingles were subpar. So after 9 years the entire roof needed replaced. New plywood , new shingles, checked for mold, and with the metal fix where the contractor I hired just never came back to finish.....all the insulation was left to the elements to get wet. Causing the Sheetrock on the second floor to sag and I needed to fix that also. Make a long story short is was a 911. So a few years back I had heard a commercial on KIRO for Patriot. I wrote the number down knowing I would eventually need to reshingle my roof after purchasing the home. Well that number came in handy when I had this unexpected nightmare arise. I called and had Patrick come out and do a inspection. It wasn't the worst he had seen but non the less, top 5. He took probably 50 pics and explained everything that was wrong with the roof during Constuction originally AND with the POS we hired that did more damage. So after all was said and done I paid some money down and they started. Now remember it's summer, they are busy, and I have a 911. First step, tarp roof so the rain we were experiencing unseasonal last August would not cause any more leaking. Then they were out in about 10 days to finish the job. It was a 3 day deal. Day one, tear off, all tear off removed and nothing left in the yard to dirty up the appearance. Day two, insulation vacuumed out, checked for mold (none thank god) and new insulation blown in while new 1/2 inch plywood was installed..(R60 insulation if I remember correctly) also new vents installed and venting pipes that were cut off at roof line and covered up. ....On a side note the venting was sub par during construction and not to code apparently causing massive moisture and sweating in attic space. How it passed inspection originally is still unknown. But that was all shown to me while Patrick showed me the pics during the free bidding process. Day three shingles were finished along with new gutters that are now covered so I don't ever have to get up and clean them. In March 2018 I had a complete re-shingle with extensive board replacement where the OSB had turned to mush. In short I am very impressed with their performance and the product I received and I recommend Patriot Roofing. There are many positives that I experienced with Patriot Roofing: They performed a detailed inspection for the bid. The only contractor to enter the attic. Keith the estimator was on-time every time, knowledgeable, and thorough. Safety was a big concern for me since my roof is very high off the ground. Patriot rewards their workers for following safety rules. The workers were strapped in every time I checked. The anchors remain for my use as well which makes me very happy. There was more OSB rot than anticipated. They provided photo documentation of all the work and the need to replace extra boards. The final package is very well presented with photos and can be kept as part of the house maintenance record. The warrant is 50 years and transferable. Their crew was on time, considerate, and worked professionally the entire time. They cleaned up well each day. I did find some nails after they finished. I told Patriot and they immediately sent a guy out to sweep again for nails. He even went on the roof and rechecked the gutters. I could have told him not to though because I checked the gutters when they were finished and they were spotless. Had a little mishap where a tool was dropped and unfortunately poked a hole in the ceiling dry wall. Probably a 2"x2" hole. They took pictures and reported it and sent a guy out to fix it. You can't even tell that it happened. They communicated well before, during, and after the event. They started work a month early. There were in-process inspections and a post work inspection. They took care of the permit and the county inspection. They added more ventilation. Poor ventilation was why I had OSB rot. We added extra vent at the eves. I provided a can of paint and they painted the new vent boards at the shop before they arrived. The roof is beautiful. It is now the nicest looking part of my house. I think I need to paint next. read more

As a 3-time customer in 2019, I highly recommend Patriot Roofing. Though I hope (and don't expect) to ever need another roof replacement, I would definitely choose them for future roof projects, without a hesitation. Patriot Roofing was the only company whose estimator actually got into the attic to investigate as much of the roof as possible in order to estimate the extent of the roof damage. Estimators for some of the other companies didn't even get on the roof, and the majority of them never looked in the attic. Unlike the other companies, the Patriot estimator also went through the trouble of predicting how much plywood (roof deck) would need to be replaced and thus avoid sticker shock at the time of the project, when water damage would be more readily discovered. Granted, this resulted in a higher estimate compared to the other companies, but I felt more confident going with a company that went through the trouble of giving me realistic expectations about the cost and duration of the replacement project. Furthermore, I chose the company that actually cared about addressing the underlying reasons why my roof failed rather than simply tearing off and replacing the roof. Patriot Roofing's attention to correcting the ventilation problems should be the industry standard. Though it may result in a more expensive project, it is a critical step in order to maintain the integrity of the CertainTeed shingle warranty. The estimator showed me the exact calculations that went into his proposal for increasing ventilation to the attic, a step that none of the other estimators even discussed. Why is that so important? The warranty explicitly says that inadequate ventilation voids the warranty. Communication between estimator, project supervisor, and roofing team was excellent, and scheduling the project was a breeze. The team of workers was friendly and polite, and they were very accommodating of unique circumstances. 3 roofs later, I am very pleased that I had chosen Patriot Roofing, and I continue to strongly recommend them. read more

We had an issue with one our gutters sagging off the roof, probably due to a backup. The gutters were up too tall for me to want to get up on a ladder to clean them myself. I did a search of Yelp and found Patriot Roofing. They had great reviews of fast, friendly service. The operator took my details and we were able to schedule an estimate right then and there. When Miguel came out, he used a drone to photograph the roof and gutters, and on the spot created a very detailed report on the health of our roof and gutters. It was very impressive! Along with the report, I was provided with an estimate, as well as Patriot's license and bonding information, and finally numerous reviews of Patriot's services. It was clear they were very thorough. We agreed to a roof maintenance plan that would include de-mossing of the roof, moss preventative, gutter cleaning, and the installation of their required safety equipment. Once we agreed to the estimate, we were able to quickly schedule the work. When the crew arrived, they were on-time,friendly, and ready to get to work! They put down tarps to protect our yard, installed OSHA approved tether points to our roof, and got right to the task at hand. Before we knew it, the work was complete, moss preventative was spread along the peaks, the gutters were cleaned, our sagging gutter was re-secured, and they completely wiped down the outside of all of our gutters! The house looks great, and you can tell the work was done with great care and pride. Before the crew left, one of my neighbors asked about their services! I can't wait for our next rainy day to see how well our clean gutters will work! I would recommend Patriot Roofing to anyone that is looking for roof maintenance services! We have just got ourselves a great new roof, new gutters and four new skylights from Patriot Roofing in Gig Harbor. Our 23-year-old concrete tile roof (this kind of roof is NOT a good choice for the northwest US) was leaky, too heavy for the structure and expensive to maintain, so we wanted to replace it with a higher-end composition shingle roof -- one that would look good and last long. We got estimates from three reputable roofing companies in the area, and chose Patriot because they clearly wanted to the job right. Their quote was neither the highest nor lowest, but was reasonable for the work. John, our estimator, was thorough and great to work with. The roofing crew, headed up by Santiago, was fast, hard-working, and kept everything clean. Santiago did a great job of keeping us informed on progress. Ederardo, who oversees all the roofing projects, came by to advise us on skylight flashing (and saved us some money too). After the new roof was installed, Nestor and his crew did the carpentry, building four very nicely finished skylight wells through tight quarters in the attic. They built a pair of "plastic rooms" inside the house to contain dust and fiberglass and all the other stuff, and it worked really well. When they finished, they just collapsed the "rooms," bagged them and took them out -- the house stayed amazingly clean. Patriot uses a subcontractor for gutters, and the sub was flexible in giving us time to repaint our fascia boards before installing the new gutters. It all went according to plan & schedule, everybody was friendly and hard-working, and we experienced no problems at all. From start to finish, customer services were tremendous. Keith came in and looked over the house then shared what he saw and returned a full estimate within 2 days. He went through all the options and asked questions to enable him to give us available discounts. Once the job started, Miguel and his crew got to work and other than the sound of them working, were unobtrusive. They got the entire roof including new fascia boards, new vents and plywood (24 square tri level) done in about 14 hours. When they were done each day, they cleaned up leaving the area without scraps, debris or nails left on the ground and blew down the driveway making it cleaner than when they arrived. Both days the project manager came out to look over the work and made sure we had no issues. After job was done, Patriot Roofing owner came by to share about warranties and how to contact them if anything was needed in the future. My wife and I had 4 estimates. Patriot roofing was on the high end, but not by much. They also had a contract with a gutter company to install new rain gutters as well to go with the roof. This is the 4th time we have had to roof a house (2nd for our current home) and I can say without a doubt that I will Patriot for any roofing needs in the future. Do request Miguel and his crew. I had Patriot and one other well known local roofing company bid on re-roofing my house. Kraig was infinitely more thorough in his inspection than the other company. He really looked at all aspects of our roof and provided a detailed scope of work that addressed every aspect of getting our roof in good shape. Kraig laid out our options and was very honest about what he would do in our situation. He was responsive throughout the process whenever I had questions. The Patriot team did a fantastic job on my roof and gutters. Everything looks great. Miguel from the roofing team was awesome and checked in a few times to see if I had any questions or concerns. I doubt I will have any issues with the roof but I am fairly certain that if I do Patriot will take care of it quickly. These guys aren't going to be lazy and just quote the cost of some new shingles. Superb contractor! Highly ethical, professional, and provides top quality services at a reasonable cost. We received estimates from several roofing contractors, and chose Patriot Roofing. This was a smart move. From our first contact with Kraig, to the final inspection with Eberardo, we were very satisfied with the scheduling, communication, and most importantly, the finished product. We had Patriot Roofing replace our roof, rain gutters, and add attic insulation. Everything was installed properly, and the few minor glitches were corrected promptly. Unlike some contractors we've hired, Patriot Roofing reps were quickly and positively responsive to our phone calls and emails, even during the evening before a three-day holiday weekend. Work crews were efficient, hard-working, and very professional. Documentation (contract, warranty, and financing) was clear, concise, and without any small print or "gotcha" clauses. Excellence all the way around - from the estimator, to the crew, to the owner, Patriot Roofing demonstrated a remarkable work ethic and integrity. Mike Douglas did a careful analysis of our roofing needs and showed us the options. Patriot's estimate was slightly more than the box stores, but their 50 year non-prorated warranty made it come out on top as a far better value. Their crew came on time and worked all day, even over time, to get the job to a safe stopping place every day. They were cheerfully pleasant and worked well together. No mess was left scattered around; they even brought their own porta potty so I didn't have to worry about having a bunch of guys traipsing through the house. When it was discovered that there were much more extensive sheathing issues than anticipated, the owner worked with us to come up with a very fair solution. Without integrity on his part, we would have been at their mercy for a royal gauging financially. Steve Campbell, the owner, is an ethical man. Our Roof needed to be replaced due to age and wear. We called 5 companies to provide estimates. Only 3 came out and of them only 2 provided estimates. Patriot Roofing was not the least expensive, but were the only ones to conduct an attic inspection with photos and to discuss the warranty for their work and the shingles. Taking the time to inform us of the ventilation requirements and to describe what the fix was and tell us that it would be included to ensure our warranty would be in effect, ensured they would get our job. The entire team that came out from the estimator through the roofing crew were completely professional and provided clear and consistent communication. The crew lead for the tear off and installation was one of the best project leads I have ever worked with. All of the work was completed on time, even in the rain, and clean up was done each day to ensure there was never a concern of staples or nails being left on our lawn. Fantastic company! I had a number of bids for my roofing project, Patriot was the only one who actually climbed onto the roof for an inspection. Keith, the estimator was also one of the few who actually showed up at the appointed time. He recognized problem areas that other company's overlooked on their estimates. I was told it would probably be late April before my project was started, well they contacted me the beginning of March to let me know they could get started sooner. The company kept me updated with time estimates and even moved the project start day up a day due to good weather. The crew who came were a group of nice young men. They were respectful, made sure that they completely cleaned up the work sight each day. They were even nice to our free range chickens! The project was completed on time and there were no surprises. Patriot Roofing is an outstanding Vendor. Their professionalism from the initial contact to end-product completion was amazing. They are well-known throughout the insurance provider realm and their Quality of Workmanship is the standard by which others should be judged. I didn't even think to report to my insurance company, and Keith not only got me to try, he also helped me get the best compensation possible. When I did have a minor issue, the Production Supervisor, Larry, was going to come out to my house over a holiday weekend to examine it with me, I had to assure him that wasn't necessary. Their senior roofer was dispatched the next business day and my issue was corrected. I have a much better roof now than my home ever had, and the price-point is right on. Excellent company! We called for estimates from 4 different companies and Patriot Roofing beat the others by thousands of $$$$. We were impressed by Mark's professionalism and punctuality. He privided a written estimate the same day he came to our home. We chose our shingles a few days later and signed the contract. Once our product was in, they moved up our start date. The crew arrived as expected and the job was completed on time. There were some boards that needed to be replaced, but our total was only slightly changed. It had been discussed prior to signing the contract and we were made aware, so we were not surprised by this. There was some damage to our rain gutters but when Mark came out to inspect the completed project, he said he would send someone to repair them. As promised, someone did come out and ended up replacing the damaged gutter at no additional charge! I highly recommend this company. read more

A contractor for a different job, which will tie into my existing roofline, told me that my roof looked great. He asked who did it and, if I didn't mind, how much? I told him, Patriot Roofing and showed him the figure. He wasn't just impressed, he was shocked. Patriot Roofing was by far, way more professional that the others that came to bid on the job. I was shocked I could afford them at all. And their performance and job quality was excellent. So, I am compelled to give Patriot Roofing a review, and by all counts I would offer them an additional star for their work. If you are in need of a new roof, it would be a sizable mistake not to have them come out and make an offer on your job. And by the way, I personally have zero ties with Patriot and their staff. Patriot Roofing replaced our entire roof, gutters, solar tubes and chimney piping on our residence. Their work crews did a great job, and explained and showed us all the work they were doing. The bid for the job was very thorough and included possible extra work that we could consider if and as we got into the job. The and pricing included everything, including taxes, permiting, etc. They kept us well informed of scheduled and actual times that work would be performed. (Weather deferred our project by one week.) A final follow-up appointment explained the final invoice and included information for all warranties that came with the new roof. My mother wanted two solar tubes for our upstairs bathrooms. No one seemed to know what a solar tube is. Patriot Roofing did, however. They got us a quote, set a day, did the installation and we're the proud owners of passive solar elements which reduce the number of times per day we turn on the lights in the bathrooms and serve as LED night-lights at night. The price was... Well, no one else even knew how to do this, so I can't say "competitive" just reasonable. A fair price for excellent work when no one else even knew this was a thing. Now if I can just get over trying to turn OFF the lights in the bathroom when they're not on. That's the only downside of a beautifully sunlit bathroom. Thank you Patriot Roofing. read more

We had 7 different companies bid our roof over the course of a year. Patriot came in right in the middle. They were the only company that actually went into the pony walls to see the bird blocking that was placed between the rafters in 1945. They were the only group that understood the building code and told us honestly what needed to be done - without knowing I work in a building department. Can't say enough good things about Patriot. Our project was a large and difficult one, but it was handled beautifully by an expert crew, from the tear off and disposal of an aged steel roof to the installation of seven replacement skylights and new gutters. The initial meeting with Keith onsite was most informative. We really appreciated the completeness of the bid...a binder with every detail covered. His help in the selection of material and color turned out perfect. Amazingly, our log house looks like a new house.
