We hired Do It Right Roofing, LLC for work on our home and were very unhappy with the results. The company charged substantially more than what was originally agreed to, even after we asked in writing for updated estimates for the additional work they said was needed. They also removed and replaced siding on the wrong portion of the house, which was not part of the agreement. The siding that was installed differed from what we had discussed over email, and we repeatedly had to contact them to send workers back to finish items listed in the contract that were left incomplete after the job was marked as finished. The workmanship and communication were poor, and the experience was far from what we expected based on their initial estimate and representations. Our "custom chimney cap" has been laughed at when we have shown images to our coworkers and family. It has visible hammer marks, bent and uneven metal, and is far from what we were expecting. We tried to resolve our concerns directly and through continued communication, but the issues remain unresolved. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. I'm not going to go into detail but I'm sure he will come on here and defend his actions, but here's the gist of it. Communication: As a business owner, when you are having a consistent issue with a job, the onus is on you to deal with it. Not once did you come to inspect the problems that we were addressing in person despite being located less than 30 minutes away. Additionally not responding to numerous emails outlining our valid concerns but choosing to immediately respond to a negative google review, displays the priorities of the company. Lastly, when your workers replace siding on the wrong portion of the house that was not included in the contract, try to not to defend your self as "doing us a favor". If you were truly doing us a favor, you would have 1) communicated there was additional damage that was not identified on the initial inspection, and that you planned on fixing it. 2) responded to our communication in a timely manner asking why they were replacing the siding on the house. Craftsmanship. The pictures I have included in the photos section speak for themselves. The chimney cap is not Sealed, as was specified in the contract, and the "custom steeple cap" is honestly an embarrassment. Overall if I could give this company a negative review I would. I forgot to mention one thing. If you as a customer are waiting to make final payment on a project until a response to your concerns are addressed, you can rest assured that he will avoid all communications outside of a google review, but then threaten a lien on your house the day after you place it on the market. read more

He come over to assess the problem for the estimate and was very thorough about how all the work would be done. We got several estimates, but ended up going with Garrett and Do It Right because of his easy demeanor, extensive knowledge, great communication, and competitive pricing. We couldn't be happier with the work they did and we feel like we definitely made the right choice. Due to the storm we had back in September, we ended up with a leak in our roof. I found DIR roofing through reviews on Google and decided to give them a call right away. What started out as a nightmare insurance claim (which took months for the initial work to actually start due to our home insurance dragging their feet ) DIR helped us throughout the whole process and were patient and extremely helpful! DO NOT USE this company, they will lie to you from day one. After Thomas came out and gave us an estimate, he told us they could start the project the following week and have it completed in one day. Well a month later and our roof is finally done. Done with many errors and lots of excuses on their end. The actual roof took them 3 days and they had their supplies on my lawn for 5. They never installed the bird hole ventilation they said I needed. They charged me $75 for a piece of plywood they never used, wouldn't refund me the extra stacks of shingle we didn't use, didn't inform me there would be nails sticking through my porch hang over, didn't nail down the front shingles all the way. I got loads of excuses like: "the nails have to fully penetrate the wood," okay, I get that, but they failed to tell me that and the nails do not need to stick out a half an inch through the wood. They are simply lazy and did not want to hand nail them in. Secondly, they said I was lying about the bird hole vents, because you know I just created that in my mind, never even heard of them before. They also took all remaining stacks of shingles and claimed they paid for the extra... HARD to believe as I have an invoice for them. Claimed they would "make this right" and also come out and clip the nails that are sticking through my porch. BIRDS ARE CHIRPING as I have yet to hear back from them and they refuse to return my calls. Will be contacting my lawyers. read more

Would not recommend. I contacted Robert about repairing or replacing my fence which was many years old. We walked the property together and I was shown photo samples of the work he had done before. The final product looked nothing like the samples, I had to call him back to fix a couple of spots, and less than 9 months later my fence doors are coming apart from the cheap hinges that were used.
