Turns out the only thing wrong was that there was no refrigerant in the cooling system, so they did a EVAC ($187) & recharge ($75) and it worked fine - for a couple of hours. So I took it back and then they found a leak in the evaporator core - a major replacement item. While replacing that they felt compelled to also replace the ETR switch ($53) and expansion valve ($63) as precautionary measures plus ($30) shop supply (unspecified). They agreed to not charge me for the 2nd fill of refrigerant since what they initially installed leaked away so I'll give them a 2nd star for that. Bottom line: I paid $300 over what it took to fix what was actually broke; 2 stars seems about right.

From the very first phone call, the person we spoke with in management was incredibly patient, compassionate, and helpful. They took the time to answer every question we had, explained everything clearly, and genuinely seemed to care about helping us through a difficult situation instead of just treating us like another customer. When it came time to recover the vehicle, Kyle was just as outstanding in person. He was professional, kind, and went out of his way to make a stressful experience a little easier. It's obvious he cares about the people he helps, and that level of customer service is becoming harder and harder to find. The entire team treated us with empathy, professionalism, and respect from start to finish. Thank you to everyone at Commercial Towing--especially Kyle and the management team--for going above and beyond. I recently had the incredible opportunity to purchase a vehicle from Apple Lease Returns, and the…read moreexperience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I found the exact make and model I was dreaming of on their website, I knew I had to act fast. Calling them up, I was immediately greeted by Duane, whose friendliness and personable approach instantly put me at ease. This being my first time buying from a dealership, I had my reservations, but Duane made the entire process feel straightforward and honest. What heightened my sense of urgency was hearing through the grapevine that someone else was interested in the same vehicle but wasn't ready to make the purchase. Knowing this, I felt an immediate push to secure the vehicle that very day. This sense of competition added an extra layer of excitement and determination to my car buying journey. The excitement to see the car in person drove me to make a 40-minute trip north, and it was worth every second. Upon arrival, my decision was cemented - I had to have that car that day. What impressed me the most was the transparency with which Duane presented my financing options, a refreshing change from the usual sales tactics. During the inevitable wait for bank feedback, Janie's thoughtfulness in offering snacks and water was a small but significant gesture that made the experience more comfortable. Then, Juan took over to discuss the next steps, insurance, and warranty details with such clarity and openness, it reassured me I was making the right decision. Despite the dealership nearing closing time, and my needing to manage logistical hurdles to drop off my mom's car and return, Janie and Juan assured me they'd wait, no matter how long it took. This level of commitment and understanding from a dealership was unexpected and deeply appreciated. My mom, too, was delighted by the kindness and professionalism shown by Janie over the phone. Finalizing the paperwork was smooth, filled with friendly banter and laughter with Juan, marking a perfect end to the day. I can't express enough gratitude towards Apple Leasing for their genuine approach, making sure their customers are not only satisfied but also well-informed and comfortable throughout the entire process. Their willingness to go the extra mile, ensuring we didn't have to juggle multiple cars home, was the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience. This was by far the most comfortable and reassuring dealership experience I've ever had. It's why I've never made a purchase until now, as most dealerships in the past seemed shady. I highly recommend Apple Lease Returns to anyone looking for a seamless, honest car buying journey. I'm over the moon with my Q50 and only wish I could personally thank everyone at the dealership one more time for their incredible service and support.

The manager, Robert Furcinitti, had a sales associate bring me a sheet of financing options with a "7%" interest rate. I immediately knew from looking that the rate was closer to 20%, and I voiced this immediately. The sales associate, Arlie (spelling?), assured me this was a 7% interest rate in response to my concern. Not even close. So I asked for Robert, who came in and gaslit me that the numbers I was looking at were accurate. I pulled out a financing calculator and showed him 7% would be about $100 less per month than what he's showing me. He backed down, got a new paper with new payments, and sheepishly acknowledged he "made a mistake". Sure you did. The amount of money he would have grifted me out of was about $6000 over 5 years. When I purchased insurance through their partner, [removed as part of edit] and Pronto insurance, they assured me they would "prorate" my insurance if I switched. There was a surprise $84 fee, meaning I was charged $110 for 2 days of Pronto insurance, PLUS the ~$170 fee for the insurance agent. Every step of the way I was deceived and mislead. I had to call Honda itself about the dealership and we're working through what to do about this. UPDATE: I at least got them to recover the $84 fee, but that's no thanks to Howdy Honda. For that reason I've removed the name of the insurance agent from the review.
