Pasta (Campanelle with salmon)

Service, great. Food? Fantastic. Ambiance? If you're looking fir a kid friendly place, fantastic. Otherwise? It's okay. The food is better than you'd expect, a good reason by itself to drop by. The ballon bread was insanely decadent and based on that, I'd guess the pizza was crazy good. And the prices were exceedingly reasonable for the quality of the food.

Went to D'Alba for lunch on a Friday and had a really great experience. The lunch menu had a solid selection with reasonable prices. I wasn't in the mood for one of the specialty pizzas loaded with toppings, so I kept it simple with a pepperoni pizza, and it was excellent. The crust had a perfect char and great flavor. We also tried the burrata and oysters. The burrata was very good. The oysters were Gulf Coast oysters, and I personally prefer East Coast oysters, so I probably wouldn't order those again, but that's just personal preference. The staff was friendly across the board, and our server William was especially personable and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, really enjoyable lunch spot and I'll definitely be coming back.

D'Alba was one of my favorite dining experiences in Chattanooga. The outdoor seating area is thoughtfully designed for both humans and dogs. The patio is covered, lined with beautiful plants, and equipped with fans that help keep everything cool and comfortable. Even on warmer days, it feels like a relaxing place to settle in for a long meal. The food was fantastic from start to finish. We shared hummus as an appetizer, followed by grilled salmon, and somehow still found room for sorbet for dessert. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Most importantly, my humans ordered me my very own side of grilled chicken. As a professional food critic, I can confirm that it disappeared immediately. Another nice touch is the outdoor family area. There is a dedicated space for kids to play along with a large TV so parents can relax while keeping an eye on their little ones. It gives the restaurant a welcoming atmosphere without feeling chaotic. Between the excellent food, comfortable patio, and dog-friendly attitude, D'Alba is an easy recommendation for anyone dining with a pup. Dogba's verdict: Beautiful patio, outstanding food, my own grilled chicken entrée, and enough plants to make a tiny Italian Greyhound feel very sophisticated.

Food was delicious! We also got the spinach dip and it was so good! The ambiance is also vibey- great neighborhood spot!

We came on Valentine's Day and this place had a lot of food for everyone (except not much for vegans). It's a great place for lots of people to get together easily, get drinks, great seafood, and was very kid friendly!

Ordered the ravioli again. My only disappointment was it didnt have enough brown butter sage sauce. I ordered the confit chicken thighs. Delicious savory goodness.

Delicious Food, Great Drinks, Nice Vibe... just may have to deal with a few flies here and there. Saturday brunch here was pretty chill and calm. Ordered the biscuit with assorted jams (forgot to snap a pic before devouring), and the spinach salad with jumbo shrimp. To help wash everything down, had a personal carafe of the peach Bellini mimosa (deep eddys Peach and champagne)... you get about 4 pours from it (if you fill to half of your flute). Server could have been a bit more friendly but I made it work...I refrained from matching energy that day.

Forgot how good this place was. Came out on a nice day and sat on the porch. Cheese board and cocktails on happy hour. Had some fries and a smoking hot pizza. Service was a bit slower than I would have liked for a random day, but still good overall.

Stopped in with a friend on Saturday. We had a reservation in the patio but it was quite hot outside so they let us move inside which was really nice. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. We started off with the balloon bread and it was really good the honey complimented the bread well. My friend had the ravioli and she really liked it. I had the angel hair pasta with shrimp and it was delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and I would recommend trying it.

D'Alba is a sweet neighborhood spot that's perfect for residents in the area. The inside is spacious but the outdoor patio is even larger. For those with little ones, there's even a playground for them to stay busy. I've only been for brunch, but everytime we've been, we always leave with bellies full and hearts content. We always order the mimosa flight where you can choose up to three different flavors. The dining menu is limited, but tries to offer a little something for everyone. I shared the Waffle with Chicken Confit with my partner, but this can be filling for one. The pairing was perfect in theory, but the waffle was unfortunately dry. The chicken confit was DELICIOUS and tender, but a bit salty on its own -- it really needed the waffle's sweetness to balance it out.

This place is absolutely fabulous! From their apps and drinks to the main dishes this place is on point. Our service was good and the food came out quickly. We loved sitting outside with fans at each table it made the summer heat very tolerable. Must try- Brussels!!! Yum! We also LOVE their ballon bread

Ordered this to go. It was very good and seasoned. Order was exactly what we placed. I would for sure try the other food. The veggies were fresh

What an utmost fabulous experience at D'Alba for happy hour. A friend and I ended up here and boy a time was had! The moment I walked in I knew this was to be one of my spots! The music was great , whoever the DJ was had me dancing my way to the table. Our server was so knowledgeable of the drinks and foods down to flavor profiles. We had one of the best Ceasars salads ever. The dill added to the dressing gave the salad a unique fresh edge. The fresh oysters delicate and the pesto home made campanelle with vegetables just heavenly. The D'Alba mule is very much refreshing as it was perfectly mixed. 2 will put you on your tush! I cant wait to go back and try their pizza!!!

While everything was fine, it was just that, fine. Their pancakes hit a nice balance of sweet and savory, leaning egg heavy. I personally like a bouncier cake, but if you're not a fan of that style, they may be perfect for you. The queso had a great texture but the accompanying chips and avocado toast were forgettable. Although this wasn't a meal for me, their large selection encourages me to give them another try, this time going for the more popular items. I'll keep you posted!

Good God Nadine's is closing at the end of May because their building is being sold. Nothing like a closing announcement to motivate me to go try a place. My friend made a reservation for inside dining, but it wasn't necessary. When we arrived, we were told we could sit wherever. It was pretty chilly inside so we opted for a booth on their covered patio. They also have an uncovered patio, however it was empty because it was raining. Parking is pretty adequate, especially for the Heights. Their lot is divided into three sections. The main entrance is through the uncovered patio. I didn't catch our server's name, but he was really nice and made good recommendations. The staff overall was super nice and very attentive. They did a great job of keeping water glasses full which I always appreciate. My friend and I both had the Paradise Smashburger and added Beef Tallow Fries. The burger had a double patty and it was so delicious! The patties had the crispy edges as a smashburger should and it was very filling and flavorful. The fries were good, especially with the aioli that we requested on the side. The food was amazing! The cocktails on the other hand fell a little short. I really wanted a Key Lime Pie Martini but they took it off the menu a few months ago so I ended up ordering The Houstonian. The Butterfly Pea infused gin caught my attention. What didn't catch my attention was the star anise. I don't really care for this spice and it had a prominent taste in the cocktail. I don't like to send drinks back so I kept it, but if I were to order it again, I would order it without the star anise because I enjoyed the other flavors in the drink. I also had the Pearadise with gin. I enjoyed the peach puree, but it was a bit tart. A little simple syrup would have helped to balance out the flavors. I'm glad that my friend and I were able to dine at GGN before they close. I'm hoping that they'll reopen in another location because I really enjoyed the food and the laid back vibe.

The building is being sold, so they're going out of business at the end of May. Unclear if they have plans to relocate somewhere else. We decided to go here after catching a musical at The Hobby Center downtown. I didn't realize Good Good Nadine's was so close to me right behind Truth BBQ and across from HEB. It has plenty of parking. Unfortunately, the handicap spots seem to be behind the entrance than the front. The entrance is through the outdoor and covered patio. I made reservations just in case for indoor dining since it was raining, but when we got there, the inside was freezing since we were wet. We didn't know that there was a large covered patio. Most people sat in that area, so we sat in a side booth there instead. It was comfy like patio cushions. We opted for that instead of the iron seats. Service was great. We ordered the Paradise smashburgers (mine without shredded lettuce) and added the hand cut beef tallow fries ($19). I asked for the aioli on the side, as well. I thought the burger was great. The meat had great flavor and was juicy. I liked the pickles. Compared to other photos I've seen where it was too much bread, my burger had a great bun to meat ratio. I added some ketchup and the aioli. The fries were great, but I wish I didn't get the tiny or small bits of fries compared to my friend's full cut fries. They had two non-alcoholic drink options, and I tried them both. The strawberry refresher was made with Seedlip, housemade strawberry syrup, lime, and soda. I preferred this one over the Palm Springs one because it had better flavor. The Palm Springs has coconut water, cane syrup, pineapple, soda, and toasted coconut. It wasn't what I expected it to taste. It was bland and was mostly coconut water and soda. It lacked the pineapple flavor to add sweet and tart notes. It wasn't sweet at all and also didn't have toasted coconut on top. It had a tiny snippet of maybe the end of a pineapple leaf that was browning? Not good. I took it off. Sad to see this place go. It is pretty nice inside and out. I enjoyed the smashburger compared to Burger Bodega down the street. The NA drinks could use some more love. I wish I would've tried the bread pudding! Totally forgot and was also full.

The restaurant was also hosting several large parties and a bridal event, which likely contributed to the slow service. The food itself was fine but ultimately felt average and not worth the long wait. It is tiny and packed tight inside, but they do have patio seating as well. Parking is very limited, but you can find street parking nearby. Reservations are highly recommended but walk ins are welcome. We had a few people taking care of us that night and they were all great. I was between a few items and they were very helpful in steering me in the right direction. We started off with a few bottles of wine to get the night started. From what I understand, their wine list is one of the things they are known for. Your only other option for an adult beverage is limited options of canned or bottled beers. I didn't really have a say in the wine we shared, but what we had was delicious and paired nicely with the items we ordered. For starters, we went with the highly recommended bread service. Get this! This bread was so good. I doubt they make it as ordered, but it came out like it was fresh out of the oven. It was a nice crusty bread with a fluffy interior served on a cutting board with a huge smear of miso butter. We then went with the Crispy Cauliflower which was one of my favorite dishes of the night. It was smothered in a gochujang aioli and reminded me of a general tso chicken or something. Very good. Thai Chili Rubs was next and these were so good as well. I'm a sucker for all the Asian flavor profiles and this hit that. For my entree, I ended up with the Pork Chop w/ Chutney. This was a huge chop on a layer of apple sauce and a wonderful chutney that contrasted the sweet sauce. Every layer worked well together. I will say the pork chop was just slightly over cooked, in some parts. It also came with green beans which was cooked just right. No room for dessert as we had another party to head to. Overall, I'm glad my friends picked this spot for their birthday celebration. I am now in the know about this place and will consider coming back in the future.

Great service back then and great service again this time. Our server was pleasant, provided good recommendations, and we never felt rushed by him. The fried chicken was crisp, seasoned, and not dry at all! They have three sauces available. You can get all three for an extra cost of 50 cents each. Only 1 sauce is included in the whole chicken. Although, I do think a whole chicken should include 2 sauces. Was able to taste the shrimp and pork dumplings and they're solid. The agave butternut squash was what you'd expect from squash, but probably wouldn't get it again. Not that it was bad, but felt it wasn't anything special. I ordered the frozen La Lucha margarita and it did not disappoint! Great ambiance for a group of friends or a date night. Recommend making a reservation ahead of time. I'm a longtime regular here, and my biggest recommendation is to ALWAYS make a reservation, especially if you're planning to dine on the weekend. Thanks to our reservation, we were seated immediately. However, it took around 20 minutes for a waiter to introduce themselves and even get our waters filled, despite there being plenty of empty tables throughout the restaurant. To make matters worse, other tables that were seated after us were being attended to first, which was a little frustrating. Nevertheless, we eventually placed our orders, and the food came out in a timely manner. We ordered a dozen of each of the two happy hour oyster options, along with the whole bird of fried chicken. While I've tried several other dishes here, I honestly don't think they're worth sacrificing the money or stomach space when I could be filling up on their delicious fried chicken and oysters instead. One thing I was slightly disappointed by this visit was the change in their fried chicken sauce policy. The whole bird now only comes with one sauce, and customers have to pay extra for additional sauces. Personally, I find this unnecessary, especially considering how large the whole bird is and how it's typically shared among multiple people. Naturally, a larger party would need more sauce to go around! With that in mind, I'd definitely recommend choosing either the Honey Sambal or Green Harissa if you're only getting one. The Smoked Oyster Mayo, while not bad, isn't anything particularly special to me. Overall, despite the disappointing service at the beginning and the new sauce policy, La Lucha still holds a special place in my heart. The fried chicken and oysters are reason enough to keep coming back, and I genuinely miss having this place so close to home. It's one of those restaurants that makes me wish I could just drive back whenever a craving hits. Needless to say, I'll be making another visit the next time I'm in Houston!
