I've been to several different optometrists but Dr. Huang is by far the BEST! I had been suffering from constant blurry vision for a few years now and my old optometrist never gave me a solution to this problem but Dr. Huang explained to me that I had astigmatism and that I would need special contacts. (FINALLY!! A Dr. That actually listens to his patients!!!!!) His exam room was very clean and had all new equipment. The staff here is so friendly and polite! I'm usually slow at making decisions so finding a pair of glasses was the most dreaded part of my visit. Within the first 10 minutes, Dr. Huang pulled out four frames that I absolutely loved! I went in to CPO with a metal splinter lodged in my cornea, from the moment I walked in they made me feel comfortable and took me straight to the doctor. Dr. Huang made an unpleasant situation very comfortable. He immediately saw the metal in my eye and explained what needed to be done to remove it. I was referred to Dr. Huang by a close friend of mine and told me to get my eyes checked after I mentioned that my vision isn't as good as it was especially with staring at computer monitor all day long. This was my first time visiting optometrist and didn't know what to expect, but Dr. Huang definitely made the experience a smooth one. Hands down, best optometrist around! I took my 2 kids here for an eye exam (11 yr boy and 16 yr girl). Dr. Huang was friendly, professional and definitely an expert in his field. My son was excited and was pushing for glasses, Dr. Huang, although he could've sold us a pair, gave my son recommendations on how to keep his eyes strong and avoid having to wear glasses in the future. Huge plus in my books! I've gone to other optometrist that have tried to sell glasses just to make an extra buck. LOVE his honesty! The office team is also very friendly and on top of their game. After my negative experience with a LensCrafters last year, this was refreshing. I always have a tough time finding glasses that look decent on me and the gal in the office was super patient & helped me find the perfect pair in almost record time. Dr. Huang was so helpful with both me and my four year old son. My son got glasses for the first time and Dr. Huang made it a fun experience for him. Thank you, Yelpers for recommending this place! First visit for three of us and we are all very happy so far. The Dr. and his staff are very professional, efficient and friendly. We all had exams; two of us for glasses and one for contacts. Their selection is comparable to other small offices. The office is very neat and clean, with modern equipment. They were very accommodating and timely. The total bill was at least $100 less than what I usually pay for my glasses alone and this was for the three of us. We've tried LensCrafters, which is a ridiculously long wait in between multiple stations. That Dr. also tried to up-sell add ones, without even discussing it with us; he just wrote the pricy upgrades on the order sheet! Another place we tried was filthy. I had to ask the optometrist at another location several times to complete the exam, since he tried to hurry us out of there without the full exam. None of those bad things happened here, though. I'll update this once we receive our glasses/contacts to make sure vision is good. BTW, this was the first time in over 7 years that an optometrist was able to correct my vision to 20/20! Yay CPO! (Cypress Point Optometry) IMPORTANT: This place is at Cypress Pointe; not Center Point, which is in La Palma. Difference is like night and day. read more

I moved to Orange County a few years ago so I was in search of a new optometrist as the one I had gone to for years was located in Downey and I no longer had the desire to commute out there. I found Cypress Pointe Optometry by searching Yelp! I really like it here & have been coming here for the last 2-3 years. I must say the owners/doctor himself are awesome! However, I docked one star as they have a gal there who comes off as rude at times. I called in to verify stuff with my insurance and she started interrupting me as I was talking. Secondly, I had my babysitter take my child in for an appointment & because I was not present I decided to hold off on ordering my child's glasses. According to my babysitter this same gal started questioning the reasoning as to why glasses were not going to be ordered and if it was because I couldn't afford it. Umm..what? I've worn glasses my entire life & never once have I ever been questioned on my decision on waiting to order glasses let alone commenting on whether I can or can't afford them. read more

I've been seeing an optometrist for 10 years and I've never had such a comprehensive appointment. Dr. Huang was very knowledgeable and transparent about his process. We considered the pros and cons of different contacts and prescriptions and I appreciated being a part of the decision making and being educated about my eye health. Before, I went to Costco where I was rushed in and out without any explanation as to what was being done and what it meant. I much preferred the personalized attention. CPO also got me an amazing rebate discount on a yearly supply of my brand of contacts AND they covered an other fee that I normally paid.
