Dr Huang is probably the best optometrist we have ever met. We live two hours away from his office however we think he is such a great optometrist that we don't mind driving so far just to see him. He is really helpful and friendly. He helped us understand how everything works he also tells us what can help our eyes. His prices are as good as it gets. This is my second year with this optometrist office and I am glad I made the switch. My family and I had been at another Cypress optometrist that scared us into getting glasses for my tiny one which according to a second opinion pediatric optometrist he never needed to begin with. I have found the doctor and office staff so much more honest and helpful here. Like another reviewer was stating, there's no pressure to buy things you don't need from this office. I was in search of a new optometrist and found Dr. Huang by checking which providers were on my insurance list. I had no personal referral and felt a little uneasy about walking in without knowing anything about him. What a wonderful experience it was! Very thorough and spent tons of time with me explaining all of my options since I was going back to corrective lenses after having had Lasik 15 years ago. The staff is wonderful too and the office is clean, clean, clean with what looked to me like state-of-the-art equipment. Very convenient location. Parking right outside the door. Bottom line....Dr. Huang is kind, patient, professional and I ended up with the results I wanted! Great selection of frames so I ended up with two groovy pairs of eyeglasses! I had been trying to find a new optometrist and found Cypress Point on my insurance doctor's list and checked out the reviews on Yelp ! My wife sent me over for the exam only, (I was the guinea pig), as I had already ordered my preferred frames online. Turns out I have found my permanent optometrist. The staff (Jessica was there the day I was seen), was top notch. Dr. Huang was totally focused on me and spent at least an hour with me. My former doctor had his staff do most of the actual testing and at the very end, he'd finish up. When I received my new prescription, they helped me enterr the data on my frame provider's website. Better yet, when I needed those glasses adjusted they did so without complaint. I have since purchased new lenses for sunglasses and even upgraded the lenses in my spare pair of specs. In both cases they applied discounts, where applicable, and kept the costs reasonable for me and my wife. I don't think I could've have made a better choice. And....he's VERY local to me. read more

I received the highest care from Dr. Huang. During the examination, he's so thorough, patient, kind, and informative. I'm usually apprehensive and embarrassed about not being able to put contact lenses on. Dr. Huang's soothing voice and reassurance helped me feel comfortable and not embarrassed. He's kind and patient with me: he even offered to put the contact lenses on for me so that I could experience seeing with contact lenses. More importantly, Dr. Huang taught me how to put them on properly and gave me so much time to practice until I could do it myself. I'm a slow learner, and I took so much of his time, but he did not make me feel bad. On the contrary, he made me feel like a very important patient. He himself filled out my $25 rebate coupon for my contact lenses, put it in a filled out envelope and put a stamp on it. All I have to do was dropping it off at the mailbox. For these reasons, I feel Dr. Huang's genuine care for his patients and his unparalleled customer service earned my trust and my highest recommendation. I basically found Dr. Huang in a phone book by location. (no referrals at all so I started off skeptical and a bit concerned - after all, THESE ARE MY EYES!!) After feeling comfortable with his staff, I booked the appointment, then searched the internet looking for "bad" things on the Dr. or facility. I found nothing bad. All good comments. Still skeptical due to him being a youthful doctor, I went in thinking he's going to swindle me or I'd be a guinea pig but no. (I know I am a pain in the a** "new patient" but he and his staff were extremely patient and understanding to my concerns. ) He is professional yet comfortable to be around. His staff is fantastic, knowledgeable, and professional as well. I didn't feel they were prying, nosey, or cocky... just professional and pleasing-easy to work with and accommodating. Any questions or concerns I had were appropriately addressed. The exam was thorough and comfortable. I felt his advice was genuine and very pertinent to my situation. He worked with me to find glasses in my price range and gave me plenty of options. Him and his staff must have researched ahead of time to know what my insurance covered so they were able to inform me what would be covered and what would cost extra. Ultimately, my glasses arrived sooner than anticipated and they are better than I even expected. I recommend Dr. Pochi Huang and hope you have a pleasant experience. P.S.
