We are fixing up a house that hasn't been cared for in about 50 years. The furnace is an old, old design and the ducts are very fragile and filthy. Our AC was on during this heatwave, but around 4PM today the inside temp kept rising and rising, eventually getting to almost 90 degrees in the house. The AC was no longer putting out cold air. Great experience. The house wasn't cooling below 80 degrees even though the filters were kept clean. I reached out on Friday night late. They immediately responded. The service fee to check it out was $49.99. Best price I found around. They had an opening for Saturday but I had to volunteer at the church all day so they offered to come Sunday morning at no extra emergency charge. The technician was very knowledgeable and let me know it was low on free on. I asked his advice if he thought the unit was too small for a 1,700 sq ft house since I had done an addition in the past few years and never did upgrade the AC and he did agree but did not try to upsell me. Had a problem with my air conditioning system, and asked Cyclone Air Systems to check it out. Instead of just emailing or texting me, Mario called to see what was the problem and set up an appointment. Luis came out the next business day and looked over the system and reset the furnace which fixed the problem with the air conditioner. He knew exactly what he was doing and seemed very familiar with my 25-year old Carrier system. Checked the Freon and said it was fine. And then he - wait for it - didn't do or make me pay for anything else! So, it was just the $49 for the visit. I'm sure a lot of companies are knowledgeable about HVAC systems, but how many of them are honest and can be trusted? Give this company a pass. Lots of upselling and bait-and-switch. First, they confirmed an appointment and then canceled it without telling me, then they rescheduled another without telling me. When the guy finally came, he was late despite a 2-hour arrival window. The office didn't return a call and message asking about ETA. When he arrived, he spent 5 minutes sweeping my chimney then tried to tell me it would be $50 more due to my house being two-story, which it very clearly isn't. I don't now how he even had the audacity to claim it was since he was literally standing on the roof right over the fireplace that he just looked at. After I said so, he then said it would be another $100 to clean up the mess he left in the fireplace after sweeping the chimney. He didn't give me any evidence or pictures that the chimney was clean, nor answer any questions I had about chimney maintenance. Seemed in a real big hurry. Anyways, I wrote him a check for the quoted price and he scurried off, but I won't be using them again. Tried to give feedback to the office with no success, so I'm leaving it here. I guess they advertise a low rate to get bookings, but then tell you it's only for sweeping, not cleaning up the resulting mess. Skip these folks and go someone else who is honest and transparent about pricing and does a thorough job. read more

I am now using them again on our other air conditioner (we have 2) Here is why I wouldn't use anyone else - Very quick to respond! They texted back within minutes. While they have an online system to book appointments, they were so accommodating to get me in on the same day. It's always the hottest day when the air conditioner stops working! Fair prices. The quote was extremely reasonable and came with a warranty. Did not try to upsell me or add anything. Quality workmanship. Awful customer service. We were trying to fix our dryer, so made an appointment to clear our ducts. The service technician was rude and impatient throughout the visit. My husband, retired and hard of hearing, felt disrespected throughout the visit. The technician spoke too quickly and when asked to slow down said, "I don't like to repeat myself." He was impatient, rolled his eyes at my husband's questions, even when my husband explained he's hard of hearing. Also, he asked for a drink when he first arrived, before he had even inspected the work. This is unacceptable customer service, especially when dealing with senior citizens - bordered on discriminatory behavior. Won't use this company again and certainly let our friends and neighbors know this is a company to avoid. read more

Update: Rewritten for clarity. Summary: Our A/C was broken, then after they came our furnace was also broken; then they took the time to make sure at least our furnace was working again. Mario could not find the root cause of the broken A/C. I asked if it was the contactor (the first thing to check according to most online sources) and he said no. The next day, technician #2 came and confirmed it was a broken contactor. He quoted me $800 for a job that's supposed to cost only $150-$400 for parts and labor, so we declined. After technician #2 left, we found the furnace was also broken. I texted technician #2, and Mario called back. He helped me find the furnace switch and I switched it on. It still did not work. We had a long conversation in which Mario was upset that I implied they did something that caused the furnace to stop working. He said it was impossible the other technician did anything wrong because he knows what he's doing (as if it were impossible for a skilled professional to make an honest mistake), despite that he wasn't even present while the other technician was operating. Additionally Mario first thought I was accusing the technician of breaking it "on purpose" before later understanding I was not making such an accusation. And later when I asked him a clarifying question about a possible fix, he thought I was trying to trap him and "put words in his mouth", before acknowledging I wasn't trying to do that. Maybe he had a bad experience with a past customer. I then showed Mario a Youtube video of my error code suggesting my issue may be a blown fuse. He dismissed the video and tried to think of other causes. Half an hour later he called back to say he finally watched the video and it was correct. Mario then walked me through the steps of how to pull out the fuse, inspect it, and replace it with a new one. During this time, Mario actually went above and beyond and took a lot of time out of his evening to explain what was going on with the fuse and make sure my problem was fixed. I ordered new fuses which only cost $5, and it was easy to replace following Mario's instructions. So, despite the inconvenience and the bumpy communication in the beginning, I came to appreciate his willingness to help customers and set things right. tl;dr: While testing our A/C, the 2nd technician probably blew our furnace fuse (most likely due to a compounded issue with the broken A/C rather than due to negligence or incompetence). At first the 1st technician's communication was frustrating because twice he dismissed a diagnosis I suggested which later turned out to be correct, then denied any possibility they could've broken the furnace fuse and also interpreted some things I said as more hostile than intended. At the same time, during my long phone call with him and the extended time he took out of his evening to help me with the issue, I also got the feeling he has good intentions and is very dedicated to his job, so I'm not surprised by the number of positive reviews. They also offered a full refund of the initial diagnostic fee after hearing about my experience. For the original A/C issue, in the end I asked another company for help and they replaced the broken A/C contactor for only $359. read more

I called Cyclone Air Systems before Covid 19 to check if my unit was working properly as it had been causing the power at my home to completely go out. They were able to show up within a few hours and inspected my unit. The Cyclone technician offered to speak to my electrician, who had been on site earlier, and they were able to troubleshoot efficiently. We found that the power issue is within my unit and not my electrical panel. I now understand what needs to be done to fix my unit! This company is professional, honest and trustworthy.
