The business was very quick to respond to my Yelp outreach and gave me a quote for a promotion they were running for 10 air vents plus free dryer vent cleaning. There were some scheduling hiccups - my initial reservation time was double booked and I was asked to reschedule for the following week, they went to the wrong address the next week and we rescheduled again for the next week, and they arrived to the appointment 45 minutes later than the scheduled time. I had Mario come in twice to my house. The first time for a dryer vent clean. This time I had to call Mario for a solid 911 because I had a leak from my HVAC. While I was getting a repipe done, my plumber pointed out there was a leak from my AC unit. So I called Mario/Cyclone because I trust his work. He did a same day call and began going to work. He also really explained how the HVAC system worked and what happened. I learned that the HVAC company that my home warranty sent out that installed my system was really shoddy work and taped over parts where there should be pipes to help with making sure it wasn't leaking. I recommend getting a second opinion before trusting anyone, including Cyclone technicians. A few years ago, I wrote my first review after calling Cyclone to service my HVAC system. I was told that replacing one of the parts, which would cost over $600, would fix our heater. After the repair, we were advised to give it a day for the system to acclimate. However, not only did it fail to work, but the heater was also blowing cold air. Recently, we called for any other company for service again because we couldn't figure out what was wrong with the heater after believing that replacing the faulty part would solve the issue. We were informed that our HVAC system is near the end of its lifespan. The technician explained that the reason the machine was blowing cold air was that it was cooling off the temperature to prevent overheating, which could potentially trigger a fire. Why didn't Cyclone detect this earlier? During the service, the technician asked if I wanted to receive a $20 discount in exchange for writing a positive review and posting the pictures he took. Honestly, I wasn't interested in writing a review or the discount; I was just excited that my HVAC might finally be fixed. Little did I know, the final verdict was that we need to replace the entire HVAC system! Thank you, Cyclone, for not only ripping me off but also failing to deliver on your promise. Mario came out within an hour of calling and immediately found and fixed the issue with our HVAC blower. He said the issue with the HVAC could be one of two things - a relay or the complete motor assembly. He tried the relay first, as he had the part on hand and it was the less expensive option. He said he'd only charge me for that replacement if it solved the problem. Luckily it did and we are cool in our AC again! He gave us a 6 month warranty on the new part he installed and the pricing was very reasonable. Most importantly, Mario is extremely friendly and good natured and I am happy to have given the business to him. I will certainly be calling him back if we ever need more HVAC repairs.
