Precious little is better than New Bike Day.
    Ian S.

I have purchased two brand new bikes in under a year from Cycles 128. The dealer was in my new hometown, so I wanted to support them as well as capitalize on the convenience of their proximity to where I live. The first bike was a brand new 2017 Kawasaki Versys X, but it was at their sister dealership in Arlington (Cycles128 doesn't sell Kawasaki). My salesman at the time was Billy, and he was able to have the bike transferred from Arlington to Beverly for me, and I hadn't even put a deposit down on it. yet. This was based on a phone call I had made while on vacation in Costa Rica. Convenient! The whole process was easy, painless, and very relaxed. There was never any pressure or upselling, and it never felt predatory as vehicle sales so often are. Fast forward to just under a year later, and I decided to upgrade to a Suzuki VStrom 650. This time I had the great pleasure of dealing with Ellen Petrilli and Rick Brandano. Yet another chill, great experience. I told them right up front what I was looking for, and with that knowledge, they showed me other alternatives to consider but never discouraging me from my original goal. Their inventory is incredibly vast and a virtual candy store, and I was glad for the other options that were shown to me. I had my heart set on the VStrom, so we got down to business. Worth noting was a little hiccup on Suzuki's part, as their manufacturer website claimed that there were certain accessories included with the bike that tuned out not to be. Not a concern because Rick and C128 were on the case and miraculously got Suzuki to make good on their claim. They didn't have to do that, because most dealerships would predictably claim their hands were tied and just shrug it off. But not these guys. They totally prevailed and saved the day. That I will never forget. The numbers part of the operation was handled by Brad, with whom I had worked with on my prior purchase as well. Another great asset to the company. I now half-expect people to yell "Norm!" when I walk into the place now because I dealt with a lot of people and they're just a warm bunch. Just awesome.

This place is awesome! The fiance and I came here a lot when we were living in Salem. The guys working the shop are very knowledgeable and patient. They are always willing to help out when you are in need of something that is out of stock. The sales guys aren't what you expect. Some places we have been to, the sales guys wait around like vultures. But at Cycles they will sit and talk to you, without any pressure. Definitely stop by if you have some bike questions, or concerns.

    2015 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec
    Jon E.

I've been looking for a Yamaha Bolt for about a month. I saw that they had a couple on the floor. I was drawn to the 2015 R-Spec with 0 miles. I started working with Rob T. He gave me the $750 Yamaha rebate which brought the bike down to a fantastic price. I then did some more homework and showed him how I could save even more, but he said the deal he gave me was the best. I was ready to walk but said he didn't lose a customer so went with the figure I came up with. I was very happy. I then talked to Jesse about getting the bike. He was very informative and kept in touch with me. He even called me about a week after had the bike to see how I like it. So all in all I had a great experience at Cycles 128 and got the bike I wanted at a great price.

Good riding classes. Good selection of #Triumph bikes. Apparel/accessories department a bit small, but really great customer service.

Also, if you happen to live in the city you can take the commuter rail to their shop, which is right near a station depot. I've been to all of the shops in Massachusetts that deal with Ducati, including Riverside, Dunbar, Springfield, etc, but the service is better here. They've been around for a long time and the shop is owned by an ex-racer. They always seem to have the same few folks working there, and they're willing to take the time to speak with you. The downside to the shop is that it's small and doesn't have lots of riding gear or helmets, aside from Ducati brand clothing. They do have a good selection of new Ducati's, as well as MV Agusta and Moto Guzzi on hand however. Their prices are reasonable and much better than Riverside on service. If getting a bike from someone knowledgeable with fair prices is your goal check them out. If you're looking for a huge selection of helmets, jackets, and boots look elsewhere.

The place also has that mom and pop shop feel rather than a "bike shop": if you expect to walk into a showroom filled with gear, accessories etc - this place isn't it, you need to go to a chain store for that.
