Lets start off by saying that I have bought and sold too many bikes/ quads etc. My two kids just drain me. My youngest son rides a 2010 kx450f and I just bought my oldest son a 2014 rmz450. I bought the Kawasaki from Rochester Motorsports. Living in the North Shore area it seemed tough to get Kawasaki parts because the nearest Kawi dealer is Naults Windham (to my knowledge). (North Reading Motorsports is out of the question because I refuse to give them business and I don't think their work is worth paying for). I don't really like ordering online either. Make a long story short I stopped into Cycles 128 in Beverly, MA the other day looking for a few Kawasaki parts as well as parts for the RMZ. I walked in and they were pretty busy. A young kid greeted me in a very professional manner. I believe his name is Pat Z . if I remember correctly (I lost his card). He ordered me the parts. He explained when they would be coming in and I told him that I needed the parts by a certain day (we were driving to PA to ride a track). From past experience when ordering parts from a large dealer, the parts guys can have an attitude and treat you like you're just a number but not him. I also had my doubts as to whether or not they'd be in on time but much to my surprise THEY WERE EARLY! Moral to my story is if your debating going to Cycles 128, GO! Their customer service is awesome despite their high volume. And most of the time your parts WILL BE ON TIME. Going here from now on! No choice of zero stars I took my six-year-old granddaughter to buy a helmet for her first summer of riding two up on a Harley. The salesman told me that the S helmet was my only choice and he could not order an XS because it was not available. When I arrived home and went online I found out that her very helmet comes in XS. When I tried to return the UNUSED helmet I was informed that their return policy says no returns on helmets. True... But I made my purchase on MISINFORMATION !! I just went through this course and i failed miserably. If you never ridin a bike before, 2 days on a bike will not get you through this course, you will have to spend extra $$$ and take private classes and maybe just maybe you might pass the exam. I learned alot but handling a bike. read more

I am a very new rider. Cycles 128 spent some time with me to help me select a bike that would work out for me. I was interested in a $14,000 1500 cc bike - and the sales rep informed me that an 866 [ I wound up with the Triumph America LT ] is plenty of bike for a noob - and it isn't overpowered for the size. I even had a chance to have a pleasant conversation or two with Bob - the owner. The sales pressure was Very light - in fact , I was encouraged to kick around a few idea with my wife before settling in on a model. Still screwing me over years later... Bought my bike there in 2010, had a crash around 2015 and brought it here for repairs. For 4 months they said the adjuster hadn't come yet. I go to the insurance adjuster's office and find out they came within a month of dropping the bike off. Until I said "I'm literally looking at the paperwork with the adjustment date" they continued to say the adjuster hadn't showed. Why do I bring this up now, years later? Broke my right turn signal the other day and ordered a new right turn signal lens. I went to put it on today and found out they flipped a left turn signal and put it on the right side now I'm out the cost of a lens and shipping because they were too lazy or incompetent to get the correct parts This dealership is ridiculous! The dishonesty fits that of a stereotypical used car salesman ready screw anyone for a buck. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

They had my bike for months, they were trying to make me pay for a part the broke on my brand new bike and when i stated ive never touched my bike they miraculously convinced the factory to send me the part free of charge. They scratch the tank and then tried to say i scratched and in a few words as the service manager could he was calljng me a liar. My bike needed to be located, for which he graciously did. The negotiations went respectfully and in a timely fashion. He also managed to accommodate my schedule for picking up the new bike. He answered all my questions and said he'd be there for anything I need along the way in the future (and I believe him). I recently purchased a 2019 Seadoo I called Cycles 128, Rick answered the phone and told me the color Seadoo I was looking for was rare and they didn't have it, but he offered to team up with Chad the sales manager and locate one with a $500.00 deposit. After debating I decided to take a shot and headed over. I took the hour drive out of the way because there were closer dealers, I gave the deposit. They couldn't give me a time frame but we left it like that. Next day I received the phone call from Rick stating that Chad was able to locate the Seadoo. Long story short, I picked up my fully loaded Seadoo the same week Friday, with a brand new trailer, registered and all, with a ll the leg work done by the guys at Cycle 128. Rick is a very professional sales man that makes things happen correctly and in a timely manner. Chad proved his high managing skill, by locating the specific Seadoo I wanted over 400mi. away. The Service department Frank and Mike did a fantastic job on my first service, and even stayed after hours and waited for me to pick up (I was running late) They've overexcited my expectations and defiantly earned a customer for life, along with a few other referrals Ive already sent over. A week ago I got an out the door price on a unit that was acceptable so I put a $500 deposit down on it because they did not have the unit in stock. A week later I get a call telling me that my unit is ready for pick up and when I go to finalize the deal it's $500 more expensive than quoted. I was extremely surprised when they would not work with me Considering this place charges 589.- for handling and doc fees which is more then I have ever seen. Poor communication from the sales team and service team. Management does everything to pass the buck and not take responsibility. Store forgot everything they were supposed to do for the sale. We drove 2 hours north, twice! to pick it up, and both times it wasn't ready. We're talkin a timeframe of a WEEK they had to get this thing together. So we ask for delivery and hey even fucked up delivery. So we drive up a THIRD TIME... and when we got home we find out THEY SOLD THE BIKE to us UN-INSPECTED and the tail light was STILL NOT ON! "oh we forgot." Totally unapologetic about everything. They make it clear that they don't care about their customers. read more

Rob C and Brian T have always gone out of their way to accommodate my schedule when it comes to servicing bikes and taking delivery. The sales experience is always hassle free and low pressure, and while the documentation and prep fee IS expensive, I feel confident when I take delivery of my bike that it's safe and 100% ready to ride, and that is worth its weight in gold. Accessories and safety gear are typically priced at MSRP eliminating the need to hunt online. They even have an expert mechanic there for vintage bikes, which is a major selling point for me. Coming to this dealership was a great experience, I came here looking for my first bike. The staff was helpful and answered all of the questions I had. The sales women Ellen was excellent to deal with and was always willing to help. She made it point to let me know that they would not be undersold by any other dealer and stay in constant contact with me while i made my purchase decisions. I ended up purchasing from another dealer that was closer to my residence, but I would definitely recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a good deal on nice motorcycles. Salesman tried to SCAM me. What an awful experience. I go in, looking for a bike, the salesman seems tired with me from the start and lazily shows me a few bikes that are not to my liking. I finally land on one bike and tell him honestly that the price is overvalued, he says show me the NADA average price for the bike and I did. About $1600 less than what they have it bumped up at. Now, keep in mind when he said they are offering $1 OFF EVERY CC on the motorcycle. This was a 599cc bike, so he would give me $599 off the price of the bike correct? No, he says "The price will be off the before price". WHAT??? Not off the price of the bike?!?! I happily walked away as he was very unprofessionally screaming around other customers to my face. Are you freaking kidding me? I know I can sleep at night knowing I didn't give this scum my money - but the question is how do they sleep at night trying to run scams with people? read more

I did take the safety course years ago when Alecia was teaching, and that was awesome. I ended up buying a couple of bikes from them over the years and was overall very pleased. Then I took my Honda Shadow in last year for a carburetor cleaning, and was charged $400 for what should have cost half that at very most. They quoted it as a 4-hour job, which is insane, and that was their standard fixed price for the job. I authorized the work since the bike was there and was backfiring so that I didn't want to ride it elsewhere, but promptly went out afterwards and found a reputable bike mechanic who indeed would have done the job for $150. Guess where I'll go next time... So not to entirely slam the dealership, but NO WAY for service!!!! read more

I am now the proud owner of a Kawasaki 500! I just purchased a motorcycle this past Saturday (Sept. 28th) from Cycles 128 in Beverly. I would like to say that the experience had been stellar, until the very end of the deal. After days of negotiating we finally came to an agreement. I was satisfied with the final price for the bike and the loan rates and terms. Everyone I interacted with was professional, courteous and genuinely a pleasure to work with. In fact, the only problem that I had throughout this whole process was regarding a promotion that was being offered by Parkway Cycles, where during the month of September, a FREE helmet was being given if you financed with them. As I understand it, GBMS, Parkway, Motorsports International, Cycles 128, Plaistow Powersports all have the same owner. I specifically asked if the free helmet promotion would be honored since I was financing in house, and was told that if Parkway was offering the deal, Cycles 128 would do the same. Unfortunately, the day I took possession of the bike, it was explained to me that because I had gotten such a favorable deal regarding the price of my motorcycle, Cycles 128 would not be able to offer me a free helmet. There is no disclaimer or mention that the free helmet would only apply to a vehicle at the dealers advertised retail price. It clearly states that the only requirement to receive a free helmet is to finance with them. I fulfilled that requirement, yet cycles 128 refused to honor their verbal promise to me from multiple individuals. It's sad that such a relatively small cost to the dealership would allow a new customer to walk away less than satisfied. I did end up purchasing a helmet from cycles 128 at $125 with 10% off. After going home and seeing the price for the same exact helmet on multiple websites, the average retail price was $57 dollars. I understand that you are going to pay more for an item at a brick and mortar store, simply because there are additional costs involved in maintaining an inventory, but no one wants to feel like they are just getting ripped off either. This could have been the perfect opportunity to establish a good relationship, but I feel like they dropped the ball in the end over something that could have been easily remedied. I do hope that management keeps track of these posts and will update this review if there are any further developments. read more

I dont really know why this place got 4 stars. They are horrible. Once they get your money they dont want to have anything to do with you. I dont know where to even begin with these a**-*****. They were nice to me when they were getting my money but then after that, forget about it. Mr. Hornos helped me when I came to fill out my paper work. He told me I could go to any yamaha dealer in the U.S. to get by bike serviced. When I called to question him about the service plan he was extremly rude on the phone and said he would call me back at some point during the day. Yeh I should have known that wouldn't happen. Of course he didn't call me back. Oh yeh and when I had to bring my bike for in for an issue. They had my bike for 3 weeks and everytime I called they said they didn't know they problem (even though they have machines now that tell you the issue) Day after day the cost for labor went up and up and at the end of 3 weeks and a letter to the CEO i only paid for the part. ! Do what you want people but I would not go here or any of these type dealers. They suck with a capital S. p.s Parkway is just as bad! read more

I ordered a new bike from this store and had them swap out the tires before delivery, at my own expense, with the clear understanding that the OEM tires would be returned to me. Since I live 3 hours away I hired a motor carrier to get the bike for me and I sent my salesperson a prepaid UPS label for the OEM tires so they could simply hand the tires to a UPS driver and ship them to me at zero cost to the company. 3 weeks later I have not received my tires despite several assurances it was being handled. At this point they have stopped responding to me altogether and there is no evidence I will get my tires. Clearly my brand new OEM Triumph tires were either lost, discarded, or sold to someone else and no one at this miserable company has had the courage or professionalism to come clean. I've been in biz for myself for 30 years... I get that mistakes are made and that sh** happens... lying, dodging, and ignoring doesn't make the problem go away. I'm resigned to the fact that I may never get my tires, so I've decided to make a point of roasting this sorry company on any website that will allow me to do so. Certainly I'd advise shopping elsewhere. read more

I was trying to buy a 12k 2020 ktm 500 from this dealer, site says the showroom is open but I wanted to respect the Covid situation and make a deal by phone. The phone operator said they would have a sales rep call the day I made the initial phone call. They never did so I followed up the next day because I want the motorcycle really badly and she gets nasty with me on the phone because "the sales representatives are too busy", didn't even attempt to set an appointment up for me or tell me what I need to do to be able to come into the shop and buy a bike. She just hangs up on me. I couldn't even buy a bike before having a bad experience at this dealership. You want to sell motorcycles and power equipment and I want to buy one but nope. I can't even imagine the support this place would give you after you make a large purchase through them. go somewhere else for your motorcycle buying business. *update, went to another nearby ktm dealership for business and was able to buy a brand new ktm 500 over the phone with no attitude from the employees. read more

They attempted to repair it for free, but now I think the same thing is happening again. The bike got me home from the shop, but it has refused to start since. I live in Boston so it is a little of a hike and there are a few other bike shops that I could go to that are a lot closer, but I trust these guys with my bike and they do a great job for a great price. read more

My first experience with Cycles 128 was about four years ago when taking the MSF Motorcycle Safety course. The course was well-administered and critical in developing my skills as a rider. I purchased my first helmet there as well. My second experience was for the purchase of a brand-new motorcycle. Pricing was OK, although they didn't seem too receptive to bargaining. My third - and last - experience with the dealership was after taking this brand-new motorcycle to Cycles 128 for it's 600-mile service, which I believe was little more than an oil change and once-over inspection. Imagine my unalloyed gladness when I returned to pickup the bike and learning that I was out over $450.00!!! Labor prices here are beyond ridiculous! Suffice it to say, I won't be heading back to Beverly any time soon. read more

I needed to have an electrical short diagnosed that kept blowing fuses while out riding on my Vespa 150 LXie. After having another shop try and me also being unscusseful I decided to take my friends up on going to the professionals at Cycles128. When I called, they promptly picked up my Vespa and next day found the problem and professionally repaired the problem plus checking it over and doing a few other needed items. Went in there to buy a bike, and there inventory online does not match what they have in the store first of all. They just use it to lure you i9nto the store. You are greeted with a smile, but the salesman are very pushy and are very aggressive. I was so excited to go buy a bike and within 15 minutes I was already really frustrated with the sales people. They made the experience very stressful and no matter what....they try to squeeze every single penny out of you. Save your time, and go somewhere else. I do not have experience with the service department so this is based upon just the sales department. I will never buy a bike from these people. EVER! And you shouldn't either. read more

I've given Cycles many chances but this was the last straw. *Service* 9/14/13 - 9/23/13 I recently brought my 2012 CBR 600RR to have an oil leak checked (after I dropped the bike in my drive way) I dropped it off Saturday 9/14 before closing, I was told all next week was open so I set up a 9AM Monday Appointment. I called that Monday at Noon checking on a bike. The response was "We haven't looked at it yet, we'll call you with an update" No response that day. I called up Tuesday at noon. And was told that nothing was cracked just oil coming the breather and that I would need to a new air filter. I ordered an aftermarket filter witch would take a few day to come in. I called though out the week checking to see if my bike was ready, still no air filter. Finally on Monday 9/23 over a week later, I called at noon and they told me that the filter was in and the bike would be ready by the end of the day. I showed up at 5pm to pick up my bike. IT WAS JUST BEING PUT ON THE LIFT! They needed ANOTHER hour to put in the air filter. I showed up an hour later with a bill for $302.08 For, A Safety Check, Air Filter change, and oil change. As I looked over the R.O I was charged for 4 quarts of oil, I told the advisor that my bike only takes 3 quarts and he said "Actually its 3.5 but we have to bill you for full quarts" 1. The owners manual says 3 quarts 2. Even if they did put 3.5 in I never received my .5 of a quart THAT I PAID FOR! At this point I had enough. I wanted my Bike and to leave. When I got home I noticed that my lower fairing was put back on INCORRECTLY. The clips were completely exposed. I had to then spend half an hour putting it back together properly. I didn't have to chance to ride the bike until tonight 9/27 Before I took it out, I noticed that there was still some oil on the bike tire which I cleaned off before my ride. When I returned 3 hours later. There was fresh oil on my tire and fairing. ***I rode all night thinking my bike was safe, going into corners when at any moment the oil STILL on my bike could have caused me to crash!*** At this moment I believe it is just left over from before. But for $300 and a week + sitting their, you would think that would at least take a shop rag and wipe off the old oil. But sadly no. *Update* Took the bike in today 9/28 and service took the bike in right away. After 2 hours (Only because the bike was completely looked over) The technician "G" (Who was extremely friendly) told me that he did remove some extra oil but saw no leak. There was some oil soaked in the foam pads in my fairing. read more

Cycles 128 is one hell of a dealership! They have a lot of really knowledgable staff and most have been riding since before I was born. The bikes are fantastic and my moped from them performs exquisitely. I was a bit disappointed with my pre owned moped at first because of a couple dings and minor issues but I emailed the manager and he was very quick to get back to me and promise to repair and make good on his reputation as one of the best cycle dealerships around . I will recommend all my friends to his dealership because of the exceptional customer is always right attitude and the high quality products they offer. The only advice I could give them is that I wish they had lower prices but I suppose I'm willing to pay a bit more for top notch service read more

As a new rider I thought this was a good place and I thought I got a good deal. Randy was a great guy to work with, he's the manager now. If you have to buy from these guys then I'd recommend working with him. Ultimately things went awry in the financing department, where Brad did a solid job ripping me off with the up selling. I've had others look at the deal I got, all agree I got hosed. BTW once you buy Brad becomes a lot worse of a guy and honestly a jerk. I'd recommend going elsewhere, but choices are limited. read more
