Although my first class was yesterday, Saturday, I was welcomed via the many texts the staff sent. They helped me navigate the app, setting up my first ride in over a year. And to my surprise, my name was colorfully written on the locker I used to put my bag in. It welcomed me as a new member. I loved it!!! The actual ride was great too with Katie. But, two things: A bigger locker area is needed. Depending, on the class times, those coming and going, can run into each other. Number two, the music, for me, needs more depth, more umph. They have a variety of memberships, which is great because you can sign up for one based on your preference and availability. Got there late, 6:10am. Lee, the owner, allowed me to join since I was so excited to ride with Coco and since it was my 1st time, Lee didn't want to burst my bubble of excitement. Lee also gave me tips, a bottle of water and set me up with a bike inside the studio. Kudos to Lee for just going with it and preparing me well for the best ride ever! I had an amazing ride with Coco! Coco was so energetic and enthusiastic, she really motivates me to chase my dream and be the best I can be. I loved the music choice too, it really showed that she put a lot of thought in choosing the right rhythm for each part of the ride. I'm glad Coco also incorporated arm exercises in the ride. I took the class last Wed and 4 days later my body is still reaping the benefits of cycling. Two thumbs up for Coco! Thank you so much for the inspiration and motivation! After the ride, everyone was so friendly and chatted with each other, I found I wanted to stick around to hang out and cool off instead of running off to go home or run errands. I could definitely feel a positive and encouraging vibe there. I stayed for almost an hour chatting with Coco and Joe, it was awesome. As for another ride, I would most definitely ride again here at CycleBar Garden City as well as recommend this wonderful place to all my family & friends. I started to spin at my local gym in April of 2022. After a few months i decided i loved it and wanted more. So i signed up for my first class at cyclebar. From when i first entered the place, they welcomed me and showed me my locker and helped me on my bike. They are constantly improving themselves from different types of classes ( music genre) and they even have class fundraisers which is really nice. A couple weeks ago I took my first CycleBar class. I got my free cute CBG water bottle and don't plan on stopping. The lobby is appealing and has a good flow where people aren't crowding around, it leads into an area with lockers to secure your things as well as a water station. The staff is generally welcoming. I took kali's class my first time and by the end I was tired and sweated like I never have before in a class. I took Tino's class the next time and he is definitely my go to instructor. His class is a relief from all the stressors I have going on thanks to his encouragement and seemingly genuine care for the clients at CycleBar. He motivates in an caring demeanor, but also pushes you and really makes you want to be better for yourself. You can tell this is a coach who is passionate about fitness and a healthy mind and body. I love that they provide cycling shoes and water and all necessary things if you needed to shower there post class. Something I'm not a big fan of is that they don't allow you to go to other studios. I really hope they change that. CycleBar is a workout I can see myself sticking to. I can't wait to see what coach tino and the other instructors can help me achieve with my fitness goals. read more

I LOVED IT! Everyone should totally try it because the 1st ride is free!! You can't pass that up. The staff was super energetic and was so excited when I said I was a first rider - I was instantly greeted with a lot of "woo hoos" from the desk. The staff members are super friendly but not overwhelming/ pressuring you to buy more classes. They helped me set up my bike, gave me shoes, and showed me to my locker. The locker had my name on it like they were so excited to have me here! Inside the locker was a complimentary water bottle filled up ready for the ride!! It was such a sweet gesture and made me even more excited to be there. Danielle was the cyclist and she was AWESOME. Her class was powerful, uplifting, challenging and so fun. She was very encouraging and everything she said fueled you to keep on pushing. During the class I legit got chills at times because of how empowering her words were. I love this place. A lot. This group is some of the nicest people I ever met - that friendliness permeates through to the people who attend the class. It's such a great atmosphere because even if you're not in the best shape (you can see the number of burrito reviews I make, so I admittedly fall into that category) they will push you to your limit, but acknowledge your comfort level. The facilities are SUPER clean (I don't know how they have time to clean it after each class, but they do), the bathrooms are stocked with everything you may need, they have showers if you're going to work or out after your class, and they have lockers free for you (you don't even need to bring your own lock). Their weekday class time is conveniently before or after work, plus throughout the day on weekends, and the instructors really care about you and try to get to know you. Plus they have themed rides (my favorites are the Throwback Thursday rides and Wine Down Wednesday). I first got to experience and learn of GCCB from a YEE event they had. I had such a great time I signed up online to experience another class. The first class I took was with Gabby and was a wonderful experience. This time I took a class with Maria to switch it up a bit. Gabby and Maria are fantastic spin instructors and will give you one hell of a workout. I love both of there music selections which will get you all pumped up. The instructors here are so much better than other local spots I've gone to since. There customer service is on point and super friendly. There locker room is open concept and a little small but this is Garden City and real estate space is valuable but it works. The HUGE plus side is that it's super clean. They do have a shower room but I never checked it out. They do have a lot of bikes that curve around the room in multiple rows. Shoe rentals are included in the price of your class or bring your own if your a spin addict. GCCB has got me hooked to spin. I'm now completely addicted to going to spin classes so thank you Garden City Cycle Bar and Yelp for introducing me to great new workout routine. I'm home visiting my parents for the holidays and LOVE that this location is offering outdoor classes right now. With COVID going crazy right now, outdoor classes just seem like the safest way to go. They have a bunch of bikes setup out in the parking lot. All 6 feet apart. Once you're on your bike no need to where a mask. Aside from first thing in the am and later in the evening, you don't need headphones, the music is loud enough and the class is honestly the closest to the "real thing" I've been to since all of covid and still able to feel safe about it. No arm songs, but they're still renting out shoes for free. Bring your own towel! They're also doing indoor classes still, masks required. read more

Really love this place. Everyone's super helpful from the front desk to the actual instructors. I have done group classes before in an attempt to love cardio and do more of it for weight loss, but I've never really enjoyed it fully. I decided to try cycling again after starting in 2019 and stopping, and pushed myself to really get better. I ended up loving it! I'm still about a month in, trying to go 3x a week, but I've seen improvements from my first class. My favorite instructors are Liz and Tino! Liz is such a warm soul, and from my first class, I felt very welcomed, and supported. She has great energy and her affirmations In class are so awesome and helps push me over a hurdle. Tino is a hidden gem! He's one of the only instructors I've noticed that really helps you with form, and shares basic techniques for cycling. A lot of instructors often forget that there are many new, or novice cyclers. In his classes, I look forward to learning more about my form, and challenging myself. THE WORKOUT: Cyclebar has such an upbeat and unique workout. I feel like the cyclestars (instructors) are my personal fitness advocates. I found out about cyclebar through a Yelp elite event... and have loved it ever since! While I wish I either worked nearby or that cyclebar were closer to home so I could do unlimited classes, I rock the 4-pack each month to switch up my workout with this high-intensity work out. The jams are great and so are all of the instructors. Coming here is the best start to my day. You will leave cyclebar feeling productive, thrilled about how hardcore your workout was and with a positive outlook on your day/week/life. I've definitely "drank the koolaid" and love this place... not only do you get a kick-ass work out to boost your physical health, but the instructors kick it up a notch by making this establishment an extension of home and in some ways your own form of therapy. Believe all of the five star reviews--Cycle Bar is top notch. I unfortunately have only been to one class, but if I lived in the area, I would definitely consider one of their packages. The class experience rivaled comparable cycling classes I've taken at the big name studios, like Soulcycle, Flywheel, etc. A lot of this has to do with the instructors--like many of the reviewers below, our instructor had great energy, knew how to motivate the room, and had an amazing playlist. While the bikes themselves are relatively low tech (say compared to the Peloton bikes), it goes to show you that with the right atmosphere, you can have an a awesome, full body workout. The other factor is the professionalism of the staff and the amenities--literally anything you could possibly need, plus everything was absolutely spotless. They will show you where you need to go and what you need to do without the tone that they are rushing or putting you down. Everything is put in its place. Neat and clean. The sneakers they provide you are so comfortable! I absolutely love them. As you get ready for the class to start you put your stuff in spacious lockers (no need to bring your own locks-you can set your own combination to lock your belongings) with A PLACE TO CHARGE YOUR PHONE!!! This place really thought of it all. When you find your pre-booked bike their staff will adjust everything with you so you are comfortable. Then the instructor starts the class and it's an absolute workout. I'm a beginner and in 45 minutes I burned 200+ calories and that's not really pushing it. If you really push you can burn up to 500+ calories. I'm definitely coming back for another class! It was an extremely fun exercise especially for someone like me who isn't coordinated enough to do Zumba or those types of classes. read more

Cyclebar opened in Garden city on franklin ave/10th street the last week of March! For its grand opening, cyclebar offered 2 weeks of free classes so the community can get a feel of what cyclebar is all about. I have taken classes with Kali, Gabby, coco and Maria. All the instructors have provided a positive, motivating experience. The sales reps offer a friendly and helpful greeting to those who walk in the door and offer a hand to the new cyclers and experienced cyclers as well. It was very comforting when I came to my first class when the owner Lee helped and also taught me how to fit the bike to my body so I was able to do it in classes going forward. Shoes are provided for your as well and when you check in on the iPad your shoes are already in the cubby of your bike. It makes everything run so smoothly! Shout out to Dee for always welcoming me in the studio and helping my friends get acquainted with cyclebar. Parking in the back when you turn on 10th street then walk through the alley way to enter the front door on franklin. Park head in or you'll get a ticket. Okay so where do I even start? I went to the first class on the day that cycle bar opened and I knew I was going to be hooked. I don't have a single bad comment to say about this place! The workout is challenging (which I love) and the energy in the room is just amazing. The instructors are the best of the best. The staff members are so quick to help and answer any questions you have. The facility is super clean and organized. My favorite part about cycle bar is how the instructors really connect with the people in the class. They take the time to come around and get to know you and are super motivating.
