We have been with Lyfe Boxing since its opening. My 5 boys enjoy the Coaches. They have grown in style and technique. They enjoy the variety of workouts. Highly recommend!!

This is the type of gym you come to to learn and work at. The mirrors here are for technique, not flexing. The ring is for work, not Instagram. You don't want to waste a single minute of your time here, because any time this gym offers you is limited time that you need to value. And if you don't, you're stealing from the next person in line who cares more than you do. There is an air of machismo that permeates the space, but that doesn't imply sexism - it's something different. It's something that anyone of any gender can appreciate and use as a tool to advance their craft. It's something hard, smart, vicious - it feels revived and repurposed from days past, and it's something you may not even know you need. I did. And if you're reading this, you might too. Try to get a spot here. Sign up for just one class. It's not going to be for everyone, but you'll know right away if it's for you. And if it is, you're going to find exactly what you needed. Thank God this spot is here. I don't know what I'd do without it.

Overall I think that this gym offers a great Bang For The Buck considering that most Manhattan style Boxing gym's Segment and Monetize individual activities such as one on one coaching, pad-work or even the opportunity to spar. This gym, however, does it more or less as a complete package and at a reasonable rate. Including, if you can make it, Boxing/Boot Camp style classes in the morning, instructed by the owner. Like most boxing gyms in NYC, this GYM is somewhat rough around the edges. But when you get to know the people that work here and the trainers you will soon see you made a good discussion joining this gym, if your intentions are to get in shape and learn the art of pugilism. In a Nutshell, ... A TOTAL PACKAGE ....it's a good place to learn the sweet science without burning a big hole in your wallet.

I believe learning how to box is an art and most of the principles of learning how to box coincide with life principles. I have seen my son thrive and progressively change. Learning how to box is difficult!  Finding a good coach is also hard but I believe we have found our coach, coach Nabeel. I see how coach Nabeel engages with my son and gets into his head, only some can coach children and he is one of the best. Coach Nabeel makes him stronger and makes him believe in himself. Coach Nabeel is doing a great job!! My son is learning discipline. He looks around at all the other individuals in the gym that work hard, and he feeds off their energy. This gym is not for the sluggish -so if your ready to work, sign up!!!! Everyone is nice and in their own way they all have something to teach, if you're willing to learn. Thank you, Eastern Queens Boxing Club, from a very happy parent.

The location was much smaller in 2013 but the core values of the gym is what made this place special then and those values still remain today. Walking into a boxing gym can be a daunting experience and alot of gyms are known for hazing new fighters in a way that could be unsafe. The EQBC experience happens to be the furthest thing from that, from the coaches to a fighters this gym is built on an environment that is cultivated around teamwork and personal development. From the most experienced fighter to the least experienced all members have a level of respect for others and the sport of boxing that make this gym truly special. Frankly speaking most gyms in NYC are money grabs with classes being taught by "trainers" who wouldnt know who Ali was if they were having lunch with him. EQBC is different, EQBC is the standard for real boxing gyms , where real fighters are made.

I'm a little older but not that old to get back in shape and stay that way. Right now it's Covid-19 time so we haven't moved on to BJJ and hard core Muay Thai, but as soon as this virus dies I'm looking forward to learning all of it. He immediately went into prices, focusing on the 'personal training' sessions that obviously cost more. After I told him that I couldn't afford 'personal training' he lost interest and coped an attitude. I asked if he could breakdown what the regiment would be for beginners - I essentially wanted to see what I would be getting for my money to which he replied with a nasty attitude " Getting F----- Up." He couldn't even tell me how he would train or what specifically he would be showing me. He might be a good fighter but he seems to be a crap trainer...I walked out and through his business card on the floor...From these other reviews I'm glad I didn't drop hard earned money.

My "personal training" sessions with Charlie, the owner of the gym, consisted of me jump roping, bag punching, doing push ups, etc., all while he hung out and talked to other folks at the gym. The dude definitely picks favorites and ignores you if you're not part of his inner circle. During push ups, he repeatedly cursed at me and threw things in my direction. Other times, Charlie would yell at other folks around the gym and tell them to help me with conditioning. He never lifted a finger during any "personal" session. The equipment, including the jump ropes and hand wraps, are extremely musty--reeking of sweat, as if they were not washed with enough detergent. I understand that the prices at this gym are relatively low compared to other gyms in the area, but it's honestly not worth it. Charlie is only there to take your money and try to convince you that you will learn to box through his boot camp/drill sergeant approach. Don't fall for it.
