Donnell is the best instructor at this location in my opinion, but not for beginners - his workouts are the most intense (which I love cuz I love a challenge). I've been going for a long time and started at the DTC location so when I switched locations I already knew what to do. It's hard for beginners, so start off slow - you'll pick it up eventually. I think the community was better at the DTC location thanks to an instructor named Tasha but I'm unsure if she is still there. Tasha and Donnell have been my favorite instructors. If you're just starting, it can be intimidating but once you get it down it is so fun and I really love going!!! Just ease your way into it. My tip: match your feet to the instructors and mirror them to follow the rhythm. If you can keep your pedaling/feet mirroring theirs, you can do the other movements in the workout read more

Parking is a challenge, arrive with plenty of time! This cycling studio is fine if you're just there to ride a bike and get out. Not a huge sense of community and the instructors keep to themselves before and after class, front desk people weren't outgoing either. The classes I've been to so far have all been really awesome, I enjoy the music and the instructors are great! Love it here! Classes are always energetic and get your heart pumping! I enjoy the fact they incorporate an arm workout with the class too. They always have the bikes sanitized and ready for you with a towel. The clip in shoes they provide are great too. I was at first apprehensive about it when I first went honestly, but I love it now! Super great instructors and everyone is so friendly. Best thing is, they also have afternoon classes if you want to utilize your lunch break for working out! I cannot say enough good things about CYCLEBAR and specifically this location! All the instructors are so great, and Frank the manager / kick ass instructor / all around lovely human really makes you feel welcome if you are a new rider, new to spin, new to the studio and so on. This is the best workout in the world I'm convinced, and the instructors usually play great music, have motivating words to share, and overall just pump you up for a fun and challenging ride! Honestly you can't get a better workout for a quick 45 min; you have such a good time that it literally flies by. If you are considering taking a spin class all I can say is DO IT! Ok, the endorphins are hitting extra hard after class this morning and they're inspiring me to write this review. I've been coming here since I moved to Denver 6+ years ago. I was a cycle snob from the Boston/NY who was quickly humbled by the altitude and some of the best coaches I've ever experienced at this (and the DTC) location. Every instructor will give you a great workout to dance too. Mel is the ONLY person who can get me up before 6am to break a sweat. I can't take Donnell's class without smiling through it. The staff are incredibly attentive (especially new new riders), quick to resolve any issues and create such an amazing vibe. You really get a sense that they care about their riders and the family they cultivate. TLDR; this place rocks. read more

I am a new member - joined 2 weeks ago- and haven't felt the CycleBar love everyone raves about. I've been 3 times and wasn't shown around or really welcomed. The bikes are fantastic and instructors have been excellent! Only had one "dance" ride - not my thing. I'm training for a bike event and will keep my membership until then but don't see myself being long term. Expect a bit more when you're spending $130/month. read more

Parking can be hard. Give yourself time for parking and getting set up for new riders. Grab ear plugs. Your ears will thank you after class. I didn't give myself enough time. 5 minutes before class was to start. I am not new to spin, but new to this studio. Walked in, no one was at the desk. Walked towards the lockers and was greeted by name by a staff member. She helped me find my bike, it can be intimidating for a new rider. Instructor was amazing! Extremely motivating. Everyone was moving through class with ease and strength. Note: they don't explain much at the studio about the movement and handle bar positions. Also along the ride the instructor doesn't remind you about posture, only to use your core. Again new riders, give yourself time for setup and ask questions. Great studio to ride with very loud music. They also keep track of your scores. Not much explaining. You see the results before and after class, also an email will be sent to you too. read more

I just had my first ride at CycleBar LoHi yesterday, with Zoe, and it was absolutely fantastic! This location is conveniently located right off of I-25 in an up-and-coming neighborhood that is just starting to have boutique fitness studios. So far, I've been to the three other Denver metro area CycleBars at Southwest Plaza, DTC, and Lone Tree. I'm pleased to report that this location is just as high-quality as its older counterparts in terms of classes (enthusiastic, quality instruction, a variety of class times, great music) and amenities (free shoe rental, fast iPad check in, friendly assistance if you don't know how to set up your bike, towels, water, fruit, hair ties, deodorant, dry shampoo, razors, etc). Just a small thing to remember - this location has a pretty small parking lot. However, there is ample street parking close by on the surrounding side streets. I came at 7pm on a weekday and I had no issues finding a spot only about a block away, and thankfully I didn't even have to parallel park! Just leave about 5 minutes more than you think you need before class to find a spot and walk over to the studio. If you live in the LoHi neighborhood (and even if you don't), get to CycleBar! You will work up a sweat and have a great time. read more

Cyclebar's website is encouraging to new riders but the experience in person was less than impressive. We arrived with plenty of time before the class and nobody came to get us fitted to our bikes or explain the 'smart' aspect of riding (the screens on the bike with all your stats)...even though they told us at check-in that someone would come help us. The instructor had great energy and the music was so great but nothing was ever explained. She would tell us where she wanted us at ('I want you at 115!') and never said if that was 115 power (she never explained what power was) or 115 RPM. She never explained how to get your body into the positions she was moving into-numerous riders around me were simply looking around at other riders to see what to do. Overall, I wish they would have explained things more because I spent majority of the class feeling stupid. read more

I've been to a few CycleBar locations and this is my favorite! The teachers are awesome and always have poppin music to get you movin. Not to mention the staff always welcomes you with a smile. They always snacks available which I love because sometimes I'm low on energy before a class. The only downfall is parking (as other reviews mention) but there's a lot of street parking nearby so it's not too big of an issue. Warning: prepare to leave any class as a sweaty mess! read more

I just took my first class at CycleBar using my ClassPass membership and it was such a great experience! I took a 5:30pm class so the small studio was definitely packed but I was so impressed by the whole experience. Check in is seamless and easy and they provide you with cycle shoes, towels, water and snacks. There is plenty of lockers for you to put your stuff during your class and I loved their no phone policy. It was the most fun workout I have had in a really long time! My instructor was Amelia T. who just came back after spending a few months in Australia, and while she lead a killer workout she was also a ton of fun. If you're on the fence definitely try a class here you won't regret it. Parking is kind of tricky since there isn't very many spots in their small lot, but there is plenty of free on street in the neighborhood. They were packed in the class before mine and my class and I didn't have any issues finding a spot just a block away. I will definitely be back, thanks for the awesome workout! read more

Love this place!! I live only a mile away and love having an amazing spin studio so close. CycleBar usually offers classes through ClassPass which makes it very convenient and affordable. The studio is modern, clean and well organized. They offer different temperature water fountains, which I thought was cleaver - I'm probably the only person in the world who doesn't like ice cold water. The studio is also equipped with lockers, shoes, towels and showers. CycleBar offers different social events throughout the mouth, I haven't attended any but it seems like it would be a good time. Parking at the studio is usually pretty easy, either in the parking lot or on the street. The instructors are great! Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. I love how you can measure your watts and gears on the bike monitors. CycleBar will also sends your stats via email at the end of the class so you can track your progress. My only wish for CycleBar is that I choose which bike I am on. Upon checking in, you are assigned a bike number. Usually, I don't mind if I'm solo however, I went with a friend one time and we weren't able to sit next to each other. Another time, I was placed on one of the front platform bikes!.. it was just me and the instructor up there... I felt so awkward at first (I guess I know how the instructors feel!) but the instructor made me feel very comfortable and I enjoyed it overall. read more

UPDATE 07.25.2018: I spoke with Lisa, the owner of the studio, and I have been blown away by her kindness managing this entire situation. After a couple of discussions, she was able to fix the heating issue and the studio is so much cooler than it was in the past. She stayed in contact with me throughout this entire process, was always attentive and returned all my calls and messages immediately. I am super happy and satisfied with how attentive and responsive my concerns were addressed. I am back to being a happy and sweaty cyclebar member! Thank you! STUDIO IS TOO HOT! I joined back in November and initially really loved the class, the studio, the instructors, the other members, the intense workout that kicked my butt into gear and the sense of accomplishment that I felt after finishing a workout. But since about Feb-March of this year, the studio is JUST TOO HOT. The rest of my list of pros remain the same (love the instructors- Allie, Francis and Thomas) and love the workout but the temperature in the studio is unbearable. The mirrors have fogged up in the past and even just yesterday as I looked around the room- people look miserable, over-heated, unhappy and too hot to feel like they can push through. I brought up my complaints about the heat for MONTHS via phone, email and in-person to Sandy, Lisa and Claudia and get a different response every time. From "there isn't anything we can really do" to "we have the repair guy out here every 2 weeks and it seems to be working fine," to "the studio is set to 67 degrees, I'm not sure why it feels so hot." I've left my workout early before and headed home due to the heat. Just last week, I left class in the middle of the workout to complain to the front desk about how ridiculously hot it was and to turn on the AC ASAP :) I no longer can take the heat and will not be renewing my membership. I'm tired of feeling ignored about my concerns when I know that others feel the same way. I never signed up for a HEATED cycle class and I don't ever intend to. Its a small studio ran by a nice team of people, but for some reason they can't figure it out. Go try Epic Ride, Endorphin or Rush Cycle if you want to get your workout on, but in a nice cool, comfortable studio. I'll join you! read more

Awesome place- I have a road bike and love to take it out in the summer with my hubby for some rides around town, but had never done an indoor cycle class. My first class, not at Cyclebar, I was not able to walk in comfort for days-my rear end was incredibly sore due to the seats, and I left thinking I had a hearing problem! Needless to say, I didn't think indoor cycling would be my thing. Fast forward a week- I decided to give another studio a try to see if there were any differences or if maybe it was the environment, etc. I loved my first class at Cyclebar and was hooked! This studio is clean, always immaculate when I've been there and I have gone as early as 5 a.m. and also for the latest classes they offer. The front desk staff has always been incredibly friendly and willing to help and the instructors are great. They really get into it, have fun, change it up, and make it enjoyable. At the time, they had a Groupon and even though I had already gone to my "first" class as a drop in (they were having some major phone probs then!) they still let me do the Groupon to really see if I would love it. They offer some pretty cool perks such as mimosa's on Sundays after Francis' brunch ride, they've added more lunch hour classes during the week which is great, and some later evening classes, also a plus. They've had vendors come in, which I normally would find annoying, but hey- when it's free pizza, that's a plus. They provide you with just about anything you need to do class and get ready after- hair dryers, deodorant sprays and so much more. They even worked with me to fit my personal shoes to their bikes. They also take the time before class to give instructions for new people, the instructors walk around and help you get set up, and welcome you to class. The owner, Lisa, has also been great! She helped with some issues I had with signing up and the phone problems trying to reach people, and she's human- which I like considering they are a franchise. She understands stuff happens, and is pretty flexible. She also does the classes herself from time to time, and comes in to check in, talk with customers, etc. My only concerns so far have been: 1. train the new folks a little better, please! It can be frustrating when you have new people in the studio that don't know the equipment or how to help in some situations. What would normally be a super quick fix sometimes turns into a non-fixable issue for class when someone doesn't know how to use and fix the equipment. 2. bathrooms- oh my the bathrooms! They are great, usually very clean, but there just aren't enough for the size of this studio and how full the classes are. I don't think I have ever seen one of the showers occupied but people are always taking up the bathrooms to change before class and with only 2, there is always a line. Maybe turn the showers into bathrooms (I'm sure probably cost prohibitive), or make it well known that changing in the bathrooms, not the showers, doesn't fly when you're trying to get a class started. 3. Volume- I love the vibe at Cyclebar and the rock out sessions which is why I go! But, sometimes I think the instructors don't realize just how loud it is, probably b/c they are there all the time and can't tell anymore. :) But I've had to leave a couple times due to the sheer volume and my ears rang for days. They do provide free ear plugs but those darn things never work for me. 4. The cancellation policy- 4 hours or $18 is a bit steep. I totally understand the reason why, but stuff happens. Thankfully, they have always been super easy to work with on this as long as you let them know ahead of time the best you can. 5. Parking- it's a bit of a bear if you don't get there super early. I feel bad for the dental practice that shares the building and parking b/c I'm sure it's always full with CB people. But, parking is always an issue since the lot is very small. read more

It's unfortunate that I have to write this review as I'm a huge fan of CycleBar, their classes and instructors are. Unfortunately, I tried to end my monthly automatic membership that ends 2/20. I was informed I needed to email Sandy Levin the GM to inform her and I did exactly that on 2/13. I was told that I have to give 30 days in advance to cancel so I will be charged another $150. I sent two examples of invoices that tell me specific expiration dates and no where does it state that we need to provide 30 days. The studio has yet to prove that I've seen this rule...be AWARE if you need to cancel. Disappointing that a small business doesn't accommodate their customers that bring them business via word of mouth. read more

One ride and I'm hooked! As if you guys can't tell from my other yelp reviews, I love to eat. That means that I gotta stay active. Caveat: I had a back surgery a little over a year ago and lost that active piece. The weight has crept on and I've been feeling yucky. I've had trouble with accountability and getting moving because it's hard! I needed something fun to inspire me, and it looks like I've found it at CycleBar! The staff was friendly and informative. They helped me get the bike set to fit me with my health concerns in mind so I was comfortable and successful. I love that they include shoes so that you can snap into your pedals- I've done spin classes in the past with regular sneakers, and this was far better! I really appreciate the ab and arm work that was incorporated. I love that they send you stats after your ride so you can monitor your progress. The lockers are great, the fresh water dispensers handy, and the bowl of fruit free for the taking is also a nice touch. I was a bit concerned about what the parking situation would be, but I wasn't to worry as they have their own a lot. I could not resist purchasing the new member 10 pack! I am back in the saddle, so to speak! Fitness here I come! read more

One of my favorite fitness studios in the highlands! If you're used to big-box gym spin classes this may be a bit different, but I found it very similar to Cyc and SoulCycle. The facility and equipment is super nice, the instructors are consistently motivating and friendly, and I love that they provide clip-in shoes. You can let your competitive side out and choose to be ranked on the big screens at the front of the room or you can opt out for an experience with less pressure. Most importantly, I consistently leave feeling like I get a great workout. If you're not a fan of incorporating arms and core into your spin routine (i.e. dips), or if you have a distaste for "Woo Girls", it might not be the place for you. read more
