I have been to spin studios all over the U.S. and this is one of the worst overall experiences I've had. When I walked in I had to prompt the conversation, I wasn't welcomed. Once checked in, I told the front desk girl I have never been in before and she just blankly stared at me. I am used to a quick spill of where everything is located, asking if I need shoes/water for class...I got none of that. Once I located the restrooms I was shocked to see in their 'beauty bar' area there was hairbrushes covered with hair, it felt very unsanitary to me. Once in the studio I was surprised to see they have two options: cages for you to wear your own sneakers. Those are very unreliable and do not make a good riding experience and SPD clips which do not support all shoes. Therefore my delta shoes were not able to be used. A problem I've literally never run into before. If the girl at the front desk would have ask about shoes, I would have been aware of this before I made it to the bike. After waving someone down, they offered me some of their rental shoes. These are highly uncomfortable. This prompted me to leave class early. In the hundreds of classes I've taken over the many years I've been riding, I've NEVER left a class in the middle. I am so glad my ride was complementary. I would not suggest this studio. There are much better, friendlier options in the city. read more

Looking for a new spot to get your sweat on? High Ride Cycle is THE spot. If you're overwhelmed & nervous about starting back up at a gym, check this place out! The community is unbeatable & the staff is super welcoming. The studios are super clean & nice and cool. The classes are typically just 45 mins & that includes stretching at the beginning & end of class. The bikes are set up spaciously & are always maintenanced so you don't feel like you're going to fall off. The room is dark yet full of cool lightening. You can go at your own pace which I truly love! Also, the owners Megan & Scott are two of the best people who genuinely care about seeing you grow! Highly highly recommend trying out even just one class if you're looking to add more family to your life! read more

From the second I contacted them to join a class to the actual class itself, everyone was just so so friendly and so helpful. Since it has been a while since my first review, just popping in to say I still LOVE High Ride! The obsession has not faded the tiniest bit and has only gotten stronger. All of the instructors I have taken classes with are amazing....Special shout outs to Alex and Will for having classes so incredible that I look forward to 6AM rides! A class at High Ride Cycle is something to be experienced. The staff at the desk and the instructors are really wonderful people; personal touches, like greeting you by name when you walk in and giving you shoutouts during class, make you feel so good. I love the way they celebrate huge milestones, but also little things like cheering on first-time riders, new moms coming back, weddings... it really is a community of admirable humans! Unlike other cycling gyms with metrics on the bike and leaderboards on the wall, the focus at High Ride is for you to be present in the moment, get stronger, push yourself, enjoy community, and have fun! The instructors are so articulate and inspiring in their motivational messaging, they make you feel like you belong. The coaching is tailored to riders at all levels, which makes it easy to follow the choreography and practice advanced moves. Last but not least...THE MUSIC!!! The playlists are off the hook. This is my all time favorite studio EVER and my happy place. I have tried many gyms, studios, and cycling classes and there is just something so special about High Ride. I will start by saying that I live around 25 minutes from the closest studio, but I still make it a point to come to classes regularly. The vibe here is unreal and everyone feels welcome. Everyone at the studio is so friendly and welcoming. I don't own spin shoes that fit into these pedals, but they rent them for free. They are clean and sanitized every time. I have probably taken a class with every instructor and have loved each and every one of them. They all have their own way of teaching, but it is challenging every single time. You won't really notice though because you will be dancing and having fun the whole time you are on the bike. The choreography can be intimidating for some, but fear not. You can always modify or skip certain moves and nobody will make you feel bad about it. I especially love the theme rides and they also have fun special events/challenges regularly. I wish I could give HRC more stars. I've been going to this studio for about a year, and it's the first workout facility I've consistently gone to for this long. This place is truly a family! It's like a warm hug walking through the doors (and sometimes it's a literal hug). I've never left regretting going in the first place. For a small business, the owners have created a great standard of consistency through all of their classes. Each instructor brings their own vibe, but you can expect the same level of accessibility, challenge and motivation from everyone. I became a monthly unlimited member last year, and ride about 4 times a week. I'll start this review by saying before 2018, I was a serial monogamist with gyms. I'd commit for the year (to get the deal) and eventually find a reason to leave, moving on to the next place. Four years later, I continue to love every moment I spend at High Ride. The owners make an effort to learn your name (seriously, Megan must know 1 million names), the instructors celebrate your victories, and the warmth reverberates long after you leave the studio. All this to preface the fact that the workout itself is challenging without being intimidating. The instructors give you options and there is no pressure on a leadership board, nothing but love and praise in that room. I can't recommend it enough!! read more
