We had a similar experience as the prior reviewer. My 19 year old daughter took a free 30 minute class at the Sloan's Lake location 6/16. The sales person Ava was very, very nice and walked her through the promotional deal. My daughter told her she needed to talk to her mom. She was told that the deal was only available at the time, immediately following the free class. She felt pressured even after expressing her needed for my approval (and to use my credit card). Unfortunately, she signed the contract (she was 19 so legally allowed to sign). Later that day, I learned what she did and pointed out she couldn't afford the monthly unlimited package and it didn't work for her return to fall semester. She talked the sales person and they offered her the 8 classes per month. It still didn't work for her schedule and was too expensive. The next day, 6/17 she asked to talk to the sales person about her membership and canceling when she was at the studio. They texted her on 6/17 and said Ava would get back to her on 6/18 and Ava never got back to her. At this time on 6/18, she could have cancelled the contract by doing so in writing but they ghosted her. It took me texting, calling, and finally stopping in the studio, and another call for Ava to get back to me, over a week later. While I know my daughter was of legal age to sign the contract, she also was within the 3 days to cancel. The sweet sales pitch (especially after explicitly stating she needed to talk to her mom) feels manipulative and predatory. I have offered to pay market rate for the classes she took and call it good. They are unyielding and insist she will be held to the contract. I regret not doing my due diligence on Club Pilates when I told her to check it out for the summer. I have now seen voluminous complaints about Club Pilates and a few about this location on google, yelp and reddit. I have filed a disputed and received a refund my my credit card company. I am trying to work it through the regional manager but I guess will also pursue BBB, Co attorney general and small claims court if needed. read more

Love the Pilates exercise. Teachers are thorough and caring. Price is reasonable. Unfortunately, the monthly fee does not roll over to the next. You're buying credits that have to be used every month. read more

This is the worst Pilates studio I have ever been a member of. Do not waste your time or money. I have been doing Pilates for around 5 years at private studios. I never once broke a sweat at Club Pilates. The instructor's cater toward people who are not athletic. To be brutally honest the instructors were not in the best shape themselves which is disappointing considering they are supposed to set examples and live a healthy, active lifestyle. I booked my first class this particular CP studio today after frequenting many others Club Pilates studios. Just moved to Denver, long-time reformer fan. I had booked for a 6PM time and called at about 3PM that day and saw there was availability for a 4 PM class and I asked if I could just come earlier. The receptionist said that while the GM was out for the day, it was fine. When I arrived for the earlier class it was apparently no problem. I live 30 minutes away. We begin class, class starts, and about 5-10 minutes in, in the middle of a chest press, I was asked to leave. Someone else had arrived after me - after class started (!) - and I was told to leave to make room for them. It was humiliating. Many other better reformer places in the area. read more

Arrived a little early and watched the last bit of the class. I was pretty excited about it, since I haven't done pilates for a few years. I signed up for the free 30 minute intro class. There were only 3 of us that morning and we were all new to Club Pilates. It was a quick intro and the instructor covered the the basis of the reformer and we touched did a few workouts on the main parts of the reformer. **Update (July 12th, 2023) ** The owner, Jennifer, reached out to me. I was nervous to speak with them but they were kind, warm, and friendly. They took time to explain why I had not heard from them and share their policies with me. I was impressed by their willingness to hear about my experience and their thorough response. I appreciated their willingness to tell me about their Pilates community and the care they have put into growing a place people feel comfortable going. I recommend giving Sloan Lake Pilates a try. As I wrote before the coach I met was wonderful and speaking with Jennifer made me feel better about the environment there. I will update my review again if I attend another class. (July 9th 2023) I write this review with deep humility and intention. I understand how difficult it has been for businesses to survive during the changing landscape of the economy. A week after my free class I hoped to write a different review. Let's start with the good. Booking at Sloan Lake was easy. I did it online and found an open class within a few days. This could be because it was the weekend before July 4th. I picked Sloan Lake because I live 5 minutes from this location. I spend most of my time in this area knew it would be easy to incorporate pilates into my routine since I drive by daily. When I arrived there was a full class wrapping up. I was greeted by the front desk associate and waited for the intro class to start. Coach A taught the intro class. There were only two of us which allowed more time to ask questions and try multiple moves. Coach A was amazing and made me excited to join pilates. They were friendly, encouraging, and supportive throughout. They were funny, open, and seemed to enjoy teaching which made the experience enjoyable. There were several options to take classes and booking seems easy. If other coaches are like Coach A I think people would love going there. I felt comfortable until the desk assocate took over. Now for the bad. As someone who use to be a manager in customer service, I know that one person can totally turn your day upside down. Customer service jobs often suck and working with people can be awful. I try extra hard to offer kindness and grace because I know what it is like. I am not sure what I said but the desk associate was terrible. They made several comments that were demeaning. After a few minutes, they said they needed to speak with a manger to set up my contract saying they would call me back soon. Five days later although I felt uncomfortable I called to check in. As soon as the desk associate realized who I was, they were short, said they couldn't help me, but again said they would call back. Three days later I write this review. There are other reviews that show this might be a pattern. More than anything I write this review for others who might not have had a great experience and find themselves questioning what they might have done wrong. Especially for BIPOC folx who feel uncomfortable or unwanted while trying to find community in this area. I am disappointed because pilates has a history of being unwelcoming to BIPIC folx. I cannot say the desk associate doesn't treat everyone this way but in this climate, feeling extremely uncomfortable is reason for me not to return. Regardless I hope things get better for them and people who are interacting with customer service folx give them grace. read more

I cancelled my membership and still charged me. The issues me a refund, but then called the bank to have it reversed.

This morning I was kicked out of class for clearing my throat one time. Instructor M questioned me and I explained I have allergies (post nasal drip) due to allergies. Instructor M goes to back office to get a Teenager person in charge of the studio for the day. Thirty minutes into my 50 minute session the Teenager asked me to leave. Again, I explained that I do not have a cough. I asked the Teenager if she would ask someone to leave if they sneezed? She said a cough makes others uncomfortable. Again, I did not have a cough. *I refer to the person in charge of the studio as Teenager since she did not introduce herself. So I ask, since when is a teenager or anyone qualified to medically diagnose me with a cough? I am all for businesses and individuals protecting themselves from COVID and other viruses. Club Pilates @ Sloans Lake went too far with their accusations. They humiliated me in front of other members in the class which was unnecessary. Yes, I have been vaccinated. Time to find a new studio ! read more

I've been hooked on Club Pilates. My favorite of all their fun classes is cardio sculpt. Arielle and Emily make this class so fun and I leaving feeling accomplished and decompressed. Arielle and Emily allow for the perfect balance of instruction, encouragement, and uptempo music. Unfortunately, I signed up to take a CARDIO Sculpt class with Lauren. There was exactly 4 minutes of cardio and 46 minutes of stretching and foot work. To make matters worse, it was 50 minutes of Lauren talking nonstop very fast. I've been going to Club Pilates Bel Mar for almost a year. It is a fabulous studio in my opinion! They create a real sense of community too, participating in things like a school supply drive, or bikes for 2nd graders. All the instructors are amazing - professional, caring, helpful, thorough and kind! They make you feel welcome the second you step in the door. High recommend! read more

I love this place, love these people. Since May 2020, I've done over 100 classes at Club Pilates. This was my non-grocery store escape, and I'm so grateful. We have worn masks and the cleaning has always been a little OCD (in the best possible way), and they've taken it further to ensure a very very clean workout space. The instructors are great, I like the spacing of the reformers, and I've received excellent customer service regarding my membership. I'm not sure how I would've survived 2020 without Club Pilates Edgewater. Thank you! read more

Classs schedule is not built around the schedule of working women, but the real issue is questioning anything. Asking questions about renewals, fees, schedules or process brings a combination defensiveness and arrogance that's unfortunate and confirms another Pilates studio is a better choice. read more

After the free class, I signed up for ongoing classes. One of my better decision that I could have made for my body. After my first month of classes I started feeling stronger and after three months I dropped inches! Great instructors and a variety of classes to suit your schedule, love my pilates!!! read more

Very disappointed with the professionalism here. Please don't waste your time. Classes are run much better at non chain Pilate studios. Waste of time, overly priced and they try and get you with the memberships and cancellation policy. Almost making it impossible to get out of paying monthly dues even if you can't make it to the classes. read more

I signed up for a level one Pilates class through ClassPass and after driving 20 minutes to get to class, the lady at the front desk told me that there was no 7 o'clock class and that they haven't had that class in three weeks even though I just booked a class the week prior. Then she told me I should make it a priority to figure it out with ClassPass so that the classes are right because she doesn't know how class pass works. Then she didn't know if I was going to get charged or not which is a $20 charge for Pilates if you don't show up but she's just leaving it on me to figure it out with path path because she doesn't understand How the system work. read more

I joined to help rehabilitate my knee after I had surgery, but once I got my strength back it was time for me to move back to the gym and train. Canceling my membership took over a week because of miscommunication and their manager clearing dragging his feet. I truly wanted to go back after a few months of training but such bad service and communication changed my mind. Really sad. read more

After trying the free class, I signed up for 3+ months of unlimited and was very excited. I did notice a change in my body, strength, and endurance. It is great that they offer a chance to try out the course. The ad that I saw was for 3 complimentary classes when one time is actually what is offered. After much disappointment with lack of an effort to engage from staff (greeting people, remembering names accurately, making people feel known and welcomed), I unfortunately decided to not renew my membership. I asked for a confirmation email back when I sent in my cancellation form (not online, had to be printed and rescanned) and did not receive one back. When following up a month later when I was charged again, I will say that Jenn made every effort to make things right. She was genuine and I believe very passionate about serving people well. It was reassuring to hear, despite my disappointment, that she was aware of and trying to address any lack of initiative or professionalism on her team. So happy to have this studio in the neighborhood; it just opened last week!! Everything is new and super clean! Great instructors and really fun/challenging classes! The classes are 50 minutes mostly on the reformer (which is awesome and by far my favorite piece of equipment) and by the end of class you have gotten a full body workout. I am new to the pilates world and I have been so impressed by this studio! I've had classes with two different instructors and I have loved them both. I've noticed a huge difference in my core stability already and I've only attended about 5 classes this month. The studio is very clean with a welcoming atmosphere.
