We came to a Sunday morning hot yoga class and really enjoyed ourselves. Savannah was a great instructor and the facility itself was really clean and cute. We just paid for a drop in session which was a really great deal and took a one hour class. There are plenty of coffee shops in the area for a nice walk afterwards. They also gave us the sweet notes for being first time guests, I would definitely come back! read more

The River - Yoga Near Me - Denver, Colorado

In town on business but feeling out of alignment - in all the ways. I needed yoga!! Hot Flow was my choice. The River is such a beautiful place - the physical space (roomy, comfortable, warm), the vibe (so peaceful and utterly welcoming), the people. I'm only sad that I do t live here and get to come every day. I would go back in a single heartbeat!! read more

I started at their other location and now I jump back and forth between both. The teachers/instructors helped me learn from ground zero, and in the best way possible. I have never felt more safe in a workout/movement environment. No matter your skill level or background, the studio genuinely has the perfect class and teacher for you. I highly recommend trying a class from Lisa, Lindsey, Marisa K and Krystal. :) The Hot River Flow is my favorite! read more

I have been a River member for over a year now and absolutely love it! The membership is a great value with a deal for the first month to try it out. The teachers here are wonderful, and I love that I get a monthly guest pass to bring friends. The classes are mostly hot yoga, which I love for the great workout and stretching. Every teacher is welcoming and helpful! read more

I had a beautiful class here through ClassPass. Trevor was so kind and empowering, his guide made the class so easy to experience. I found myself feeling like a comb was being brushed through my hair at the end of the session, I was relaxed and satisfied! Plus it was a great workout. 5 read more

The River - We Are The River Statement - Yoga Near Me - Denver, Colorado

I love this place - it starts w/the people - they make yoga very welcoming & accessible. The calming atmosphere puts me in the perfect mindset for my practice. I tried a lot of yoga studios before finding this studio - feels like the perfect fit. read more

Website is not user friendly. It's not easy to just book a session. The company has 3 locations and takes serious time to decipher which is which. I drove out of my way to make it to a class only to be locked out on a cold morning and then later find out it's not even the correct location. read more

Never done a hot yoga class or been to this spot, Lisa subbed for the class I went to this morning, and it was everything I needed. Her kindness as well as the wonderful soul who helped me check in, truly were the highlight of my month. Sometimes, kindness and true pure intention go such a long way, and I'm looking forward to coming back! read more

I am a beginner to yoga. I've now taken 5 classes at The River. I love everything about this studio; the calming studio, zen-like instructors and other members! Huge fan. read more

Love the vibe at The River, kind of reminds me of Tulum on the inside. Great teachers and classes. I especially enjoy Lisa's classes. Such a good Power Yoga flow! I also appreciate the clean locker room with showers. read more

The river has become my favorite yoga studio of all time. There are three different locations and I have been to all three but this one is one of the best locations. The instructors are incredible and the space is beautiful. I highly recommend this studio for anybody's yoga practice read more

Finally found a studio I like in Denver!! Go here if you are looking for: - 'Heated' (but not suffocatingly hot) yoga studios - No mirrors, for those who prefer to focus on what their practice FEELS like, not looks like - Complimentary yoga matts - Power yoga that focus not only on the physical, but mental aspects of the practice - Multiple locations and plenty of time slots! Best of all worlds! read more

I have been doing hot yoga for several years. I tried out this studio for a month. They have a great $39 new student special. I went to many different classes over the month. I took primarily hot yoga classes but also took the yoga bootcamp and yoga cross classes. I especially enjoyed the yoga cross class which started with 30 min of CrossFit at the gym next door and ended with 45 min of hot yoga. This was a great workout. I felt that all the teachers I encountered at this studio were very professional and well trained. I especially enjoyed that most try to connect to the more philosophical side of yoga often offering quotes, ohms and open time after class for meditation. It is also a very beautiful and clean space with cozy retail space in front and free teas. My only complaint about the hot yoga classes is there is really only one level so the classes are not as vigorous or challenging as other classes I have taken previously. It sounds weird but it also didn't seem as hot as I am used to, so I didn't sweat as much, and therefore I didn't get the same effect of feeling very relaxed afterwards as I have after other hot classes. I also tried to go to the other studio in five points once and it's not very well marked and I couldn't find it. This studio does a better job of being welcoming for all levels, ages and body types ect than many similar businesses. If you have kiddos, they even offer child care. I think these classes are great for folks who are just beginning with yoga or hot yoga. read more

Not even sure where to begin with this -- as someone who teaches multiple yoga classes during the week, finding time to get on my own mat and fill my own cup can seem like a major challenge. When I realized I had a full free day to hang in Denver, practicing went to the very top of my list. The photos of this place totally lured me in, as well as the other glowing reviews listed below. Not terrible that it was within walking distance to the Airbnb and Rosenberg's...major win. I did loop around a wide block -- Google maps not exactly accurate -- but the walk was a nice warm up to class. I booked one class and had to change times -- no problem at all! Staff was more than friendly and happily swapped my class times. I lucked out with a teacher, Samy, whose style resonates with my own. The room was the perfect temp, music was fluid and not distracting, and the flow and pace of class was just exactly what I needed to check out so I could really take some much needed time to check in. As a hopeful future resident of Denver, I feel confident in knowing I've already found my favorite studio! read more

I love this studio! The vibe and ambiance is everything you would want in a local yoga studio. They have a ton of options for classes, everything from vinyasa, meditation, deep stretch, etc. The room has no mirrors, which I really like because it is so easy to get lost into 'perfecting' your pose or watching others. The instructors will work with you on your pose and very gently move you into the right position. The room is always warm to help stretch a bit further. I have notice that all the instructors kind of have their own following and style. I haven't been to enough classes to really have my favorite, yet, but I am sure it will come soon. read more

I did a 30-day trial ($39) to give this place a chance. It's winter time - why not try some hot yoga?! I went to a couple of "bootcamp" yoga classes and quite a few hot and warm vinyasa classes. Great intimate facility, thoughtful instructors and challenging classes. After taking over half a dozen classes it wasn't for me... The classes are packed - mat to mat, which means the instructor won't be demonstrating poses because there is not room for them. Maybe not so good for a beginner. Music during my practice is important to me and all the instructors use pop music. I'm sorry - I can't have Justin Bieber blasting during a mindful session. Had to say goodbye after the trial. read more

Love the atmosphere/vibes here. All of the instructors here are top notch and have a lot of yoga experience. Katy Rowe, the manager, is an awesome human being, and I really encourage people to give The River a try! They also have workshops often and I recently took the Thai Massage one, which was a wonderful experience. I would like to do their kids yoga training once they have another one. read more

This is what I call a hidden gem! Tucked away behind the Art Museum and Civic Center, this yoga studio is small but mighty. As soon as I walked in, I immediately felt the sense of community and warmth that makes a yoga studio truly special. Despite only having 2 rooms, this studio offers a variety of classes and times that work well for my ever-changing schedule. The staff is kind, generous, and really pay attention to each person in a given class, making an "all levels" class less intimidating for those of us who aren't pros already. Classes run warm, not truly hot, but they fill up enough to definitely make you sweat some. Locker rooms are similarly small but very nice, with showers and supplies as you may need them. I'll definitely be coming back here often, and encourage you to come check it out too! read more

Very nice studio, just not my style. The facilities are nice and interior decor very earthy. The rooms did not heat a lot, which may be fine for those that don't like it too hot (I do). The showers were always nice and heated up quickly. Instructors were very nice. In general I did not get much of a workout, which I like in my practice. Their yoga is pretty chill which will suit many. I tried a harder class but it was essentially holding poses for a lot longer, which isn't my thing. That particular instructor was also pretty militant (not my style). In general a nice studio, just not for those that want a challenging heated practice. They also offer massage and their prices are very affordable. They offer inversion oriented classes which I would have liked to try out but my free period ran out and I wasn't going to pay full price for it. read more

LOVED THIS STUDIO. I was here for only 5 days from Chicago, and I needed a place to practice. This studio smelled so yummy, it was SPOTLESS, and all of the members and teachers were so kind. Katie, the manager, was who I practiced with three times. She literally is so intelligent. I felt so safe there with social distancing in place and they made me feel so so welcome. I loved the dim lights and soft music. No mirrors, which was new to me. I loved feeling the pose rather than looking for the "aesthetic " of my pose. 10/10 would recommend. namaste babes! -celine read more

Came here for a great heated power vinyasa yoga class and absolutely loved it, especially because several poses were completely different from anything I had done at the SF yoga studios I usually go to. This place is beautiful and clean with a very zen vibe. It was surprisingly refreshing to not have any mirrors in the studio, which forces you to focus inwards. There are showers, big lockers and convenient parking right outside. Highly recommend! read more

I started coming to River Yoga just over a year ago when my other yoga place went out of business. River invited me in with open arms - this was before COVID. They have three locations now. One on Welton, one in Golden Triangle and a BRAND new one in Sunnyside. The River has literally kept me from going bonkers during this pandemic. Teachers are amazing and schedules are generous. Mask required if you go in person but they have plenty of online classes as well! Run, don't walk to The River! You won't be disappointed!! read more

I love this studio. They treat every individual like part of the studio family and you feel truly welcomed. Good yoga and amazing instructors. read more

Incredibly instructors, a variety of classes, clean locker rooms, and overall a genuinely kind community. I've tried a number of their classes and have not been disappointed with any of my experiences. My first class was Inversion Conditioning with Joy and I was SO nervous. Luckily Joy was incredibly attentive and catered her class well for all skill levels. I have never had so much fun doing ab work for 5 minutes. An added plus to The River is their amazing neighbor Fitness in the City. I was intimidated to try a cross fit class, so I did the Yoga Cross instead. If you are a hardcore cross fitter or traditional yogi, it may not be for you. However - for me, it was the perfect combination of HIIT and vinyasa. read more

Hot yoga is simply my favorite kind of yoga. When Carly B suggested I check out this studio I didn't even hesitate! This is probably one of the most beautiful yoga spaces I have ever seen. It's calm, inviting, and the type of place you want to hang out at afterwards. Every teacher I have had thus far has been amazing in their own ways. Like other studios, it's a different experience with each teacher. They do mainly power vinyasa yoga, but there are some other classes on the schedule but I have not yet tried out. They have a really good intro deal that gets you 30 days unlimited yoga for $39. I've been about 6 or 7 times already and I just cannot get enough. The classes aren't jam packed either (as I think of another very popular yoga studio that is like this). I've definitely found my new yoga home, and so happy it's very convenient to my house. Check it out if you're looking for an amazing, hot, intense and challenging yoga experience! read more

I've practiced yoga in over 10 different studios in the Denver area, and The River is still my favorite. During my one month beginner membership I tried several different classes, times and teachers. Each teacher has her own style, varying from meditative to more strength focused. I liked the 6:30am class and 5:30pm the best, (but 5:30 is packed.) And I have to do a shout out to Katy Rowe - she is a hilarious, thought-provoking, amazing teacher, one of the best I've ever had - so check out one of her classes. No matter which class you are in they focus strongly on proper alignment, which I really value. The heat in the room is just enough to loosen up my muscles and make me sweat, but nothing like the sweltering, overpowering heat of Bikram. Really, really love The River - I just wish Denver studios were more affordable. read more

Amazing studio with amazing instructors. Highly recommend. They go hands on and utilize sound as well. Overall lovely place, Thank You

Hello there, It's Sunday morning. Do you know where your chakra is? Here's a hint, it's not in bed, it's not with a boy or girl, and it's not on the couch-even if it is NFL Sunday. It's at THE RIVER! This place is great. From the people to the amenities the experience is outstanding. That's right friend. The River is an opportunity for those seeking that harmonious "ness" that has been lacking in there life, and too often drowned out by the hustle and bustle of there work week. In just 60 minutes of this heated vinyasa journey you will experience sensations of greater joy, alignment, and inner peace. Come and join myself and other friends you've yet to meet down at The River. They truly are helping to build community, one sweaty mat at a time. read more

I wasn't sure that an exclusively hot yoga studio was for me, but decided to give the River a try anyway when a LivingSocial deal came along. I really appreciated that the River let me try a free week in addition to my LivingSocial month. Since my time at the studio, the River has started offering more varied classes, including a yoga/crossfit class and restorative yoga. I really loved the classes that I took and the studio. The teachers are excellent. I especially liked my classes with Katy and Rob. Because all of the teachers are so excellent, every class is different even though all of the classes that I took were power vinyasa classes. I was surprised by how much I liked the heated room. I also really liked that there's a parking lot, that none of the classes were ever too crowded, that the sign in area is so pretty, that there were three shower stalls, and that I was always able to use a shower stall when I needed one. I learned a lot during my time here and was really tempted to become a member. I still might, especially now that the studio is no longer an exclusively hot yoga studio. read more

I don't know how this place hasn't been reviewed yet! This is the best yoga studio I've been to in Denver. I'm no yoga expert. I've been to handful of studios in the Denver area- and this beats them all! First, it's beautiful! The studio is big, the heat is perfect. Plus they have a parking lot! The have plenty of times available (although I would love a 6am!). They offer a free week- which I have been taking full advantage of. I have seen 3 different teachers and each of them were fantastic- but with their own unique style. They offer advance poses with option modifications. I never felt intimidated by not knowing how to do a pose- and if I needed help- they gladly positioned me correctly. I would definitely recommend this studio- my week is already filled with more classes. read more

I've only been to the River for one yoga class, but I was amazed by it. It's beautiful. I walked in and my jaw dropped. It is truly an oasis in the middle of downtown Denver, and it doesn't have that feeling that many yoga studio chains do. The instructor was very helpful, and did many adjustments to the beginners and seasoned yogis alike, which I always appreciate. They even have kids' yoga classes! Love the River, and I will definitely be back. read more

Had a class by candle light last night. As a tired old businessman in town, they were just perfect. Brie gave good directions and gave me some extra cues that were really helpful. It was the instructor's birthday and she had special music and activities that were just delightful. They sent me out the door smiling with an ice cream birthday cupcake. I see a lot of studios in my travels and this is a fine one! Bravo ladies!!!! Knoxville Bob read more

I love this place. Their yoga classes are always heated which I love but it's more of a heated vinyasa I love the flow of this studio There is a bathroom in which you can shower after class and it's very accommodating. I wish I could come here more often but I moved across town :( Shout out to Melanie! read more

Awesome studio and teachers. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of five stars is because it's rather expensive for a 60 minute class and they don't offer enough class times over the weekend. Even when you buy a pack the average cost for class is pretty high. Considering that as well as what's best for yoga practice, their classes should be 75 minutes. They have plenty of time between sessions, as their classes are back to back anyway, so they should try to give a little bit more bang for the buck to their students. That extra 15 minutes makes a big difference in terms of being able to have a well-rounded Vinyasa flow session, build up the heart rate and then have enough time to bring it back down. 60 minutes it's just not enough to get in deep enough. Especially for intermediate and advanced yogis. In terms of classes over the weekend, they only offer two earlier classes Saturday mornings, they should have a noon class on Saturday as well. On Sundays they have a huge gap in the middle of the day because they don't offer a class between 10 AM and 4 PM. I think they would have a lot of attendees if they did another class or two between the 10 and 4 o'clock sessions. . read more

Writing a review after my first visit because I am already addicted. A transplant from Boston, who loves soulful yoga practice - has found her new home. I am so happy to have found a heated power yoga studio that is NOT a corporate powerhouse, you know who I am talking about. The $39 new student deal is also awesome, as someone who (used to) practice every day, I am thrilled to have the motivation to return to this lifestyle. I took a class with Danielle, who provided an equally soulful + challenging flow. I couldn't stress the value and benefits of attending these type of classes over CPY-type sessions. Thank you to The River for a clean facility and an overall amazing first experience! read more

Amazing experience. Whitney was fabulous to work with. Had a great hot yoga session! Highly recommend!

As someone who never practiced yoga before moving to Denver, I never would have expected that I would wake up every Tuesday at 5am in order to make my weekly 6am yoga class. Rob's early morning yoga class starts my day off right and is the highlight of my week! Like another reviewer mentioned, each instructor has his or her own unique style and every class is a different experience so there is a class and an instructor for everyone. The River is an amazing studio that makes everyone feel welcome and has become my new sanctuary. read more

I truly love coming here. I first tried it on a living social deal - fantastic, I love a good deal. I then bought the unlimited month for new members for just $39. Even better! The heated power vinyasa is incredible. It isn't so hot that you feel like you're going to pass out and die, but definitely hot enough to help you sweat it out. Every instructor I have had has been kind, helpful & a great leader. I feel comfortable, challenged and accepted at The River and I definitely cannot say that for a lot of studios I have been to. I love coming here and look forward to continuing to expand my practice. read more
