I truly love coming here. I first tried it on a living social deal - fantastic, I love a good deal. I then bought the unlimited month for new members for just $39. Even better! The heated power vinyasa is incredible. It isn't so hot that you feel like you're going to pass out and die, but definitely hot enough to help you sweat it out. Every instructor I have had has been kind, helpful & a great leader. I feel comfortable, challenged and accepted at The River and I definitely cannot say that for a lot of studios I have been to. I love coming here and look forward to continuing to expand my practice. read more

I signed up for Yoga Cross through Classpass. I've never done Crossfit/Cross Training, and I was a little intimidated before taking this class. I walked into The River, and absolutely loved it! The staff & instructor's positive energy is contagious. All good vibes! I absolutely loved the cross training, it was challenging but I can't believe I was ever intimidated to begin with. Finishing class in a heated room (warm- the perfect temp) for vinyasa flow yoga was also challenging but the best way to end my work day. All-around AWESOME! read more

The River - Namaste - Yoga Near Me - Denver, Colorado

I've been coming to this studio for over 2 years, and even continued after moving out of the neighborhood. This is the only yoga studio I would drive for! The teachers are great and the studio offers a lot of styles depending on what you're looking for. Some classes are slow and steady and others are a rigorous sweat pool and I like both depending on my day. Fair prices. Highly recommend. read more

I was visiting in vacation and The River is walkable from my hotel. I am so glad that it was! Beautiful space, welcome staff, and a great practice to begin my day. Thank you, Courtney, for leading us and reminding us to share our joy! read more

What a beautiful, welcoming space to practice Vinyasa Yoga! I want to this studio for the first time with some coworkers and continue to come back whenever I need to relax and let go (while still getting a great workout). I've gone to Power Yoga classes in both the afternoon and the evening, and every class and instructor has been wonderful. It is a smaller space with a loyal following, so classes tend to fill up quickly and there's not always a lot of room. Even so, everyone tends to be friendly and willing to accommodate other attendees. Be sure to bring your own yoga mat is you have one, but if not you can rent mats at the front desk for $1. I also love the honor system they have in place for lockers. Just leave your keys in the bowl at the front desk, and you can take a lock to use during the class and return once it's done. I haven't gone to candlelight yoga yet, but it's definitely on my list of classes to attend. So glad to have found this lovely space! read more

My first experience with The River was at Yoga on the Rocks and right off the bat, I really liked the vibe, so I redeemed a free week then bought a month of unlimited yoga and now that that month is coming to an end, I'm left wanting more! I've tried a small handful of classes/teachers and some have been better than others but I wholeheartedly love the Wednesday night hot power vinyasa with Christen. And everyone has pointed out, the studio is really lovely, which makes spending any time there such a treat. read more

Took a hot vinyasa class taught by Rossi. Great flow, great cues and a great overall experience. Very comfortable vibe before, during and after the class! Super friendly staff. Easy sign in process. A tip: The heating and humidity system they use here makes conditions variable throughout the studio. Parts of the studio are way more hot and humid than others. When you set up, pick your spot based on what temp you want for your flow! read more

The first hot yoga class in Denver that I've been to that is actually HOT! Loved the atmosphere of the space, and appreciate the assistants who helped perfect my form. Overall, a great experience. However, I will say the location was kind of hard to find. Hint: it's in the same building as some apartments, behind the train tracks. read more

This is a nice studio. Everyone seemed really friendly. They even had a drop in yoga class for kids. I checked reviews out before coming in from out of town. I sent messages to three different studios in the area of which I was staying. And The River yoga studio was the only studio that returned my message. My friend and I showed up about 15 mins before the class started. I would recommend showing up a bit earlier. You have to make a profile in order to participate in the classes. The drop in fee is $17 and it kinda forces you to pay using a card versus just wanting to pay cash. This took extra time. I also didn't get to utilize the discount offered on yelp. I didn't get to stretch and felt a bit tense before class. After getting situated and and fitting perfectly into two spots left in the class, I began to relax and feel more comfortable. Joy was the instructor. I am an advanced yogi and I felt pretty challenged! This was great being it was an all level class. I also prefer Vinyasa and that it was! Very pleased with the pace of the class and the inversions offered. She gave a great class and I would tell you to be prepared to sweat! read more

MY FAVORITE STUDIO. I've been to Kindness, Corepower, Samahdi, and Yogapod and The River is by far my favorite. First and foremost Kady Lafferty and Steph Winsor are amazing teachers, souls, humans and all around positive vibe spheres. If you ever have a chance to take one of their classes, DO IT, you will not regret it. =) That being said, one thing about the power classes is that you can get VERY different experiences in a "Power VInyasa" heated class, depending on who is teaching it. Some classes are taught with a more militant, "exercise class" feel music, while other teachers have more emphasis on flow and breath (which I like more). All in all the vibe here is amazing. Love this studio. read more

Don't really like the classes. Beware of their cancellation policy and hidden enrollments. When I signed up for my membership, I was unknowingly signed up for a subscription to their online library, which I've never looked at. The first month was "free" I guess. I was billed for the second month before I realized that I was signed up. Additionally, their cancellation policy is messed up. They require 30 days notice prior to your next billing day. This means that you have to decide you want to cancel essentially on a billing day to prevent being charged for another 30 days. I guess I'm locked in for about 45 more days with these folks. Yikes! read more

Amazing classes. Such a great studio space and the teachers are excellent too! Took a number of classes with Megan and the flows and uniqueness were awesome! read more

I really wanted to like this studio. The website suggests that they offer yoga classes to bodies of different shapes and sizes, with a strong emphasis on community. Rad! That sounded right up my alley. I got a new student special and tried a wide variety of classes. And then, in the middle of one of the classes, the instructor stopped to ask if anyone was wearing a fitbit and could tell us all how many calories had burned. Pardon? I have never been so tempted to walk out in the middle of the class. I stuck it out, tried to give the instructor the benefit of the doubt (slip up? weird day? you know, it happens!). I fanned out, attended different classes with different instructors. And--bummer--similar situations happened in other classes, with other instructors. Diet-focused, body-shaming, ableist comments were made by three different instructors who I practiced with. It left me feeling negative about my body and inadequate about my practice. (FYI--the only overtly positive experiences I had were with Kady Lafferty, who is an awesome instructor and is working hard to fight against all these things! So if you really want to go to this studio, please just go to her classes.) I also participated in a few of the "micro-meditation" sessions after classes, first with the owner. Well, she forgot about me since her alarm never went off. So when I finally (confusedly) wandered out of the studio room 30 minutes later she was locking up and hadn't even checked if there were lingering practitioners. I'm at least thankful that I finally got off my mat, otherwise, I would've been locked in the studio. Again, I tried to say "eh, it happens!", but the next time I opted for the micro-meditation the instructor left their iphone in the studio to go off with a terrible alarm. That experience just left me wondering why offer a meditation session if it ends with a raucous alarm going off? It struck me that the real heart behind the practice was missing in all of these experiences. On a smaller note, although the reception area and locker rooms are lovely, the main yoga studio is a little claustrophobic with low ceilings and only artificial lighting. I get it, good studio space is hard. But the main problem is that the acoustics make it challenging to hear every cue, even if the instructor was loud. I'm not sure if the Five Points location is better, but heads up for the Golden Triangle locale. I really tried to give this studio a chance (I mean, I'm not going to let a low-priced new student special go to waste!), but it felt like every chance I gave was met with another discouraging experience. If I can only find one instructor who doesn't make me want to pack up and leave mid-sun salutation, that's not good. Yoga studios need to do better to be open and inviting to bodies; using fat-shaming, diet-validating language in class just seems so counteractive to what the practice is all about. read more

Great yoga studio. I have visited several times. Each teacher has their own style and the facilities are great! I love that they give you a padlock if needed. There are showers available. I rate 4 stars because I prefer a higher intensity hot yoga than they offer. I find some of the classes I get bit bored and I am not a huge fan of the flows. read more

Google maps directions were incorrect for Five Points. Called the studio to confirm the address at 12:30, no answer. Showed up at 12:31 to the studio, but the doors are locked, no one is answering, and I'm standing out here waiting. Nothing was said on Classpass about doors being locked 1 minute after class starts. I've kept calling both studios, can't get ahold of anyone. Extremely frustrated and very disappointed about this. I had signed up in the system beforehand, so they clearly knew there was a student who hadn't signed in when they decided to lock the doors. Won't ever be returning. read more

This place was great. In Denver for work and location was walking distance to hotel, with plenty of class options that fit my schedule. I took Christen's Hot Power Vinyasa class and it was a great flow, nice strong pace and very challenging. Studio temp was moderately hot, but not stifling hot I've felt in some studios. Just the right temp to loosen everything up. Great guidance from Christen without being too crunchy, and plenty of space for self-exploration in the practice. Staff at the counter was very warm and welcoming, as was Christen, and the studio had a great vibe among the folks there to practice. Not a very diverse crowd, but maybe that's just Denver. I would definitely return to this location of The River. read more

This is by far my favorite place in denver for yoga! Always challenging and have had the best yoga experiences at this studio. I am also a huge fan of the yoga cross (which they partner with fitness in the city, another big fan of that gym!) and the yoga with weights. read more

One word: Wow. First time attending a class at this studio and I left sore, sweaty, and feeling fabulous. The class had a lot of variations in yoga poses that I was new to and I greatly appreciated that the class itself was challenging. Looking forward to next week's class! read more

The instructors are excellent. I have had 6 or 7 different instructors and all are very good at what they do. They put together fabulous flows and have inspirational things to say during class. They are very knowledgeable and prepared. The studio is clean and inviting. The manager was kind and responsive when I had a question. Location is good. They do have parking which is nice. read more

Great instructors, location and has a strong community vibe. I think you can feel a little awkward coming for the first few times until you start to build relationships because the front desk isn't the most welcoming and friendly when it comes to newcomers. I like the variety of classes offered and the instructors that I have met there have been wonderful. read more

The River is a beautiful yoga studio located in the Golden Triangle. Every teacher they have is outstanding! Most of their classes are heated to above 90 degrees. They don't have a mirror in the yoga room, which I really like because mirrors usually distract me. You'll get a sweaty workout and feel zenned out after a class here. They also have really nice showers and product to use after your sweaty flow. read more

Danielle, the owner, reached out immediately and the River has impeccable customer service. I was offered a class to come check out the studio again and look forward to making it happen. I'll be updating it to a hopefully glowing review after my experience. I'll add that I had heard such good things, I have been looking forward to attending a class here and am happy to know the owner is so committed to running her studio with integrity and so sweetly going above and beyond. read more

I used to be one of those anti-yoga people. I always did high intensity cardio workouts and found yoga to be a form of torture. Thanks to a friend who introduced me to the studio, I am now addicted to The River and yoga. I'm a true beginner yoga student but I feel at hOMe at this studio. It's like a mini spa. Super beautiful and very welcoming. My new addiction...The River! Give it a chance, you may become addicted! read more

I have been practicing yoga at the River for a year now. The caring, dedicated and expert guidance of the instructors is what keeps me returning. Each class, I walk away transformed in some way, physically, mentally and spiritually...taking what I have learned on the mat and applying it into my work, relationships and how I respond to life's blessed challenges. Thank you River being such an impactful presence in my journey. My next practice intention is dedicated to you...gratitude. read more

The River studios are the best in town, bar none. Every staff member is friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. There are often one or two extra instructors who roam the class offering adjustments, which is something that I really appreciate. I've taken classes with Danielle, Katy, Christen, Megan, Paige, Kelsey, Rossi, Samy, Mona, Keri,Andy, Chris, Susanna and Lauralyn, and they are all wonderful. I also like that they have a "we are welcome to all" attitude, which is reflected on the sign on the front door of the Golden Triangle location. The facilities are extremely clean and well maintained. Prices are fair. Great instruction, nice vibe, caring people...what's not to like? read more

I have been to almost every studio within a 5 mile radius of my home in Capitol Hill and this is by far my favorite studio. This place is amazing. The building itself is gorgeous and the classes are by far my favorite in Denver. They are an awesome mix of mediation and an intense workout. I've never left a class feeling anything other than awesome. Obsessed. read more

The River is a so refreshing. They understand what yoga is about. They have amazing teachers and a great atmosphere. There is a class that fits anyones schedule . I was afraid to go back to yoga after a lower back injury in a yoga class (at another studio) but the teachers are understanding and the classes don't have a pressure to be perfect. Such a great studio! I will definitely be coming back for more. read more

I absolutely love being a member at The River! They offer a wide variety of times to take classes, which accommodates my ever changing schedule. The teachers are the best I have taken classes from in the Denver area. Each teacher has a different vibe yet delivers profound messages to be thought about throughout class. The ambiance in the studio is also unique, beautiful and notable. I have recommended The River to all of my family and friends! read more

I took a Tuesday evening Hot Yoga class and it was packed! The instructor was great, I can't remember her name, but she was a short blonde. The playlist was great, the pace was fairly quick, and the assortment was nice. We did end with some abs and about a 10 minute meditating cool down which was so calming and I loved it. The single class was $20 which is the only thing I didn't like. Online it is advertised that new memberships receive unlimited classes for 30 days for only $39. I was going to take on this offer, but didn't look at my text messages until I finished my walk home and a text message from the studio stated that I need to claim the offer before leaving the studio. I wish the woman that checked me out for the initial class told me this, so I could have taken advantage of the offer. I have not returned since then due to the high prices. read more

I found The River on Yelp looking for a class near my hotel. I couldn't have enjoyed the class more, from beautiful chants to body-loving powerful heated practice and all the cues and encouragement throughout. If I'm back in Denver I would definitely come back for more. They had mats and towels available, too, which is so nice when you travel light. read more

As someone coming from a weight training background who had never tried yoga, much less a heated power vinyasa class, I had my reservations and didn't know exactly what to expect when I walked through the door of The River. But my doubts left me almost as soon as I got to the front desk and was met by a smile and a warm welcome from Sam. After a quick and painless check-in, it was time for my first class! The heat was pretty intense at first, but after a little while it felt natural and even relaxing. Sam came in and immediately put smiles on everyone's face with a funny story to begin the class. Over the next hour of almost non-stop, muscle-engaging, sweat-dripping yoga I gained a lot of respect for the practice and was surprised at the level of difficulty! Throughout class, Sam reminded us to stay focused on our breathing and would gently help students modify their posture slightly to get into just the right pose. She pushed us to our limits, but every time we held a difficult position for what seemed like minutes and my muscles burned and I was just about to give up, she was there with strong encouragement and just the right words to let everyone dig a little deeper and find a new kind of strength I didn't know I had! What a fantastic teacher and what a great experience; I'll be going back to that class for years to come! Check out power yoga if you haven't already! read more
