Love the Circus Collective! They have many classes to pick from and they have a 3 Class deal for first-time students on their app. It is a big space inside with a large parking space outside. It kind of looks like a high school gym with so many circus apparatuses. I took some intro classes with Oksana, when she was there, and Logan. Both are amazing! I have taken a private class with Logan with friends and he was so great. He takes time and can be hands-on. He definitely gives you a challenge, but it feels good when you accomplish it! I've taken several classes at Circus Collective over the years, including straps, lyra, and pole. Love the variety in apparatuses and instruction. It's a very tight-knit community with so many talented performers! This studio tends to attract more experienced or cross-trained students, but definitely pop in to try a class if you're interested in challenging yourself and trying something new. read more

The instructor was awful, she made me feel unwelcome just because I was unfamiliar with her terminology and lack of demonstration. I left early and wasted money on this place as I purchased a package of three classes. Aside from the lousy instructor, there were no mirrors in sight, which is unusual and also disappointing for this style of class in the novice group level. A bit of background: I frequented the same style aerial yoga classes at Crunch's Flatiron location in NYC for years. I was super excited to find a place in Denver that has the same hammocks.. I could write a whole paragraph about how Circus Collective has gotten me in the best shape of my life(including 8 years of Pilates training), but that's only a small part about why this place is so amazing. This place is more than a gym, is a gathering, a collective of amazing unique beautiful people. I started going to Circus in January and have been hooked since my first class. I have tried every class from acro yoga, to aerial silks and contortion flexibility. This is the most fun I've ever had working out, and am literally the strongest I've ever been in my life. The teachers are all amazing and will work with whatever skill level you have! Now on to why this place is truly incredible. The people. The owners, Ariana and Peter, are some of the nicest, most down to earth people ever. They have a vision of fostering a community with movement, art, and charity, and do it beautifully at The Circus Collective. Every Sunday there's yoga and a dance party(so much fun ) and have tons of donated groceries available to take home for a small donation. They are always doing something to participate in the community and are truly inspiring! I have met some of the most beautiful caring and kind people at Circus. From the teachers/owners to the classmates and dance partners...I've made some amazing connections. This place is a safe space to be yourself and explore your creativity, which is so hard to find as an adult sometimes! This place has become my circus home in Denver. After my first aerial studio closed, I was hesitant and cautious about finding a new one. Trying new fitness studios gives me hella anxiety, but I'm really glad I did. I tried out an open gym first, and when I spoke to a couple of the members and instructors it became clear that this was a place full of many skilled and encouraging people. I wanted to add my two cents because since joining last August, I've had nothing but great experiences. If you tried a class here a long time ago, try another one. As I understand it, the Circus Collective has gone through a few changes over the past year -- including a new location -- and having read some of the earlier reviews it seems like it's improved hugely. It's less of an art gallery, more of a truly circus-oriented space. Try a Sling class if you're new to aerial, Straps or Conditioning if you want your butt kicked! read more

Came here for the first time through ClassPass for an AcroYoga class. Although the people were kind, the class was not what I was expecting and just wasn't for me. There were only 4 attendees + the instructor, and upon arrival we learned that we would not be using the aerial silks, despite that being part of the image and description of the class on ClassPass. Most of the time during class felt awkward and I didn't leave feeling like I got a workout. I'm glad I checked it out to try something new, but definitely won't return here. read more

Similar experience as Frances. I have come to three workshops and two classes and have not had even a decent experience. I wanted to give this place a shot because it's so close by, but every other studio in Denver is better than this place and I'm done giving them chances. Today we went in for a bachelorette party to do aerial yoga, and we were told upon arrival that they do not have the rigging set up for aerial yoga, so if we would like to do the thing we booked we would need to head to another studio....that was a 30 minute walk away. They also mentioned they emailed us the night before, but given that all of the girls were traveling from out of town that was not a great way to reach us and wasn't even 24 hours notice. We then had to hop in taxis to head to the other studio. Needless to say the owner has always been rude on every visit, she has zero customer service OR business skills. Very disappointed that in the strong Denver circus community this new business is a black mark on the community and while there are great instructors here, the business is not consistent enough to trust. They don't promote safety well, don't provide strong instruction and their descriptions of workshops are laughable! Not one workshop has been close to the description. Here you pay the money, but promises don't get fulfilled. Examples: I went to a rope workshop studying single pole and they had 1 rope...for a rope workshop of 8 people....not exactly a rope workshop. I also went to a contortion workshop where the instructor barely spoke enough English to give safe, clear instruction or modification based on where you were in your flexibility. After this workshop, I had to rest my back for a week because she had pushed me too far in a backbend that injured my low back. Again, I really wanted to give this studio a chance because they bring amazing circus people to Denver, but they do not have a strong enough business to deliver on their promises. read more

The gym looked clean and they had a lot of equipment rigged for other aerial arts. The acro class was an experience but not a class I would take again. read more

Great space, and I appreciated that she focused on fundamental body mechanics for so many of the climbs, locks or progressions - things that I thought I "knew" how to do are suddenly smoother and easier, thanks to her noticing small things that I can correct with proper form. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I was beyond disappointed by the higher than thou attitude and condescending demeanor of the staff. I've been practicing yoga for 4 years now and have been yearning to extend my practice into areal arts. When a friend of mine told me about the Circus Collective back when it was first opening I was very excited. In their first week of business her and I both signed up for their grand opening package of 4 classes for 45$ Our options were presented to us as follows: this first class can be free or it can be the first of 4 for 45. No further details, instructions or limitations were provided. After that first class (not that I feel any of this is relevant in customer service) my best friend passed away and needless to say my hobbies took somewhat of a backseat in my mind. For that reason 3 weeks had passed before I even considered going back to a class. When I did eventually return (about a month after my purchase) it was to the same class and with the same partner that I had purchased my package with. We waited for 20 minutes outside in the cold after the course was said to start just because the front door was locked and nobody noticed us waiting outside. Once we were finally let in the instructor recognized me and pulled up my name on the computer, said welcome back. I started getting ready when the owner of the company Ariana Gradow came over to me with the not only a bad attitude to have in general but the WORST attitude to have as a new business owner. I immediately felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. She asked who I was and how I got on the floor past her, she proceeded to look me up after I had already been signed in and told me that my package was no longer good since I didn't use it within two weeks of purchasing it. I told her that not only was I not told that on the day of my purchase but also that my partner who bought a package the same day I did came up in the system so why don't I all the sudden. Rather than utilizing her customer service skills and helping someone interested in becoming a member and supporting your newly founded business Ms. Gradow scoffed at me and told me as if I was wasting her time and bothering her and all she had to say was "I can let you stay this time if - you want". I wish I can give more of a review on the actual content of the class but unfortunately I wasn't given the fair opportunity to find out myself. After practicing with many highly esteemed instructors in the past couple of years in New York City, Costa Rica, Denver, Boulder and Los Angeles I was excited to finally expand my practice and I was looking forward to doing so at the Circus Collective. It is a beautiful space and I was looking forward to learning amidst so much artistic energy. The class I did attend (that should've been free as per their advertisement first class free) was pretty fun I must say but totally not worth their prices. Just because it's in an art gallery the price of the classes are more expensive meanwhile the quality is significantly lower. It is made very clear that you have to be careful while learning and stay away from all of the art - before you are made comfortable you are made to feel like a toddler in a candy store. Everybody's got that better than you bad attitude, they're are very few props and the time you get on them is so limited that there's barely any space to learn or grow. It is very clearly an art gallery first - and a rented out open space next. The whole vibe was very childish, it was very apparent that they're a new business. My advice to anyone wanting to seriously learn rather than show off what you already know in a cool space - avoid this company. read more

The Circus Collective is not only an awesome location, has multiple easy parking options even though it's right downtown, buuut my favorite part is that there are some phenomenal athletes that train and teach here!! Walking in as a complete newbie I get to learn from frickin cirque du soleil performers and feel supported and encouraged and inspired and reminded that anything is possible with practice :D read more

Disappointed :/ Acro yoga class was very care free and what I mean by that is it didn't seem like anyone in the class did yoga and body size was paired very carelessly and unevenly. No real training went into it other than showing an example and then people just started climbing on eachother. They went through many 3/4 poses in one hour lol very rushed for beginner adult bodies. I have never seen a chiropractor but had to the next day after this class.. I couldn't put on socks bc of my lower back.. I am 24 and do aerial silks.. back problems rarely happen to me. For this business' sake going forward I hope they have a great insurance package/company bc tossing adult bodies around like that without proper training, stretching, and general safety precautions like pairing people up properly will backfire surely. Disappointed I gave a one hour class here a try and would not recommend the Acro class to anyone unfortunately. The teacher was handsome though and it kept me in the class longer than I would've haha read more
