This place has become my circus home in Denver. After my first aerial studio closed, I was hesitant…read moreand cautious about finding a new one. Trying new fitness studios gives me hella anxiety, but I'm really glad I did. I tried out an open gym first, and when I spoke to a couple of the members and instructors it became clear that this was a place full of many skilled and encouraging people. I wanted to add my two cents because since joining last August, I've had nothing but great experiences. If you tried a class here a long time ago, try another one. As I understand it, the Circus Collective has gone through a few changes over the past year -- including a new location -- and having read some of the earlier reviews it seems like it's improved hugely. It's less of an art gallery, more of a truly circus-oriented space. Try a Sling class if you're new to aerial, Straps or Conditioning if you want your butt kicked!

It kind of looks like a high school gym with so many circus apparatuses. I took some intro classes with Oksana, when she was there, and Logan. Both are amazing! I have taken a private class with Logan with friends and he was so great. He takes time and can be hands-on. He definitely gives you a challenge, but it feels good when you accomplish it! Everyone here seems so nice and I will continue to pop in for classes.

Sure, this is fitness. I mean my whole upper body was sore for days after my class here. But, it's also a lot of fun that brings to mind all the things in the opening sentence as well as many childhood afternoons flipping over and over on monkey bars. You can take a specific class that is geared toward fitness even. It creates little stations around hoops, cloths, ropes, walls, and so on where you have different challenges to do in a certain amount of time. And once you get strong enough you can advance to the next level where you are doing aerial activities like it ain't no thing. Beyond the class though the instructors are fabulous. They are great at explaining the moves and not making you feel like a dunce when your upper body just doesn't want to lift you up on two rings and hold you there while you throw your legs overhead slowly and lower them back down. That is key to any enjoyment in exercise for me. I believe they do packs and single pricing for classes and I have to say it's definitely worth checking out.

Turns out, I had nothing to be afraid of because I didn't get too high up. I just got an insane upper body workout from climbing ropes and hanging on trapezes. I'll be honest, I think I have a little bit more strength training to do before I can truly benefit from this class, but just the fact that I spent the entire class with a big ole smile on my face means that, sometime in the future, this is definitely something I want to try again. The staff that taught this class was patient, encouraging and had a great sense of humor about fitness. They made me feel welcome and comfortable, even though I was waaaaaay out of my comfort zone. This is a super fun place and I can't wait to try aerial stuff a little more once I feel like I have a little more core strength going on.

This is a unique experience that is great for friends, or work/organization team buildings. Bridget and Zach were our hosts and they were great! They explained everything really well. We were able to buy some very reasonably priced beer and wine before going in for our 1 hour game. The games themselves were quite fun. It's nice that they have other game options so the experience can look different every time. The only downside is having to pay for all the spots in advance-- understandable, but also challenging if someone cancels last minute. It's about $40/person before gratuity.

The games were already fun but his presence blew up the fun meter. Jordan and staff was 10/10. My coworkers and I attended GSBR as part of our Holiday Party. We drew color chips out of a hat to determine which team we would be on: red or blue. We then were led to a room with two large tables color coordinated and lights simulating a game show. NOTE: They sold drinks at the front and required you to purchase your drinks ahead of time before entering the room. The room had a small fridge to keep them cool. We played survey battle, match up wars, cups (not like you've seen) and more. Our team had a blast, cause we won. The blue team had fun too but wants a rematch. I'm sure we'll back for some redemption rounds.
