Instead of giving into their frustration about lack of progress and hating messing with their bindings etc, I decided to book some open time at Shredder to work with them directly on the fundamentals. This was a perfect setting where they didn't need to worry about being bundled up, their gloves etc and could instead just focus on walking up the ramp, getting comfy with their bindings and working on leaf turns, heel stops, etc. The staff is very helpful and engaging and would squirt the artificial turf to help them go faster after they started to get better. A small complaint is we wish the ramp were longer as it's harder to combine multiple turns in a single run. This is a great place during spring / summer / fall for a quick review on the basics prior to heading to the slopes. They also offer camps, summer camps, seasonal lessons, etc. We brought our own gear but they have skis snow boards, boots and helmets available.

They get exposed to different challenges or courses. The options are differentiated to meet all levels. As a teacher myself in a school, I appreciate seeing the above and know my young children will continue to grow. Big bonus for parents is the gym also has Parents Night Out. I haven't experienced it yet, but other parents have told my husband and I that it's awesome, the kids have so much fun, and we know who they're with. Definitely worth a trial class!

My son started attending when he was 4 years old, and now at 11, he still returns whenever he is on school break or his school is closed and La Petite is open. My daughter also attended from about 1 to 3 years old. My children are children of color, and throughout all of these years, not once have my children complained to me about being treated differently because of their race. I have always felt comfortable leaving my children in the care of the teachers and staff, and I trust La Petite Academy with my children. Ms. Jodie has been a wonderful director to our family. She has been caring, professional, and dedicated to the children and families for many years. I know that no school or childcare experience is going to be exactly the same for every family, but I can only speak from my own experience--and ours has been a positive one. After nearly 10 years of being connected to this school, I continue to feel comfortable bringing my children there. That level of trust as a parent means a lot to me. I appreciate Ms. Jodie and the entire La Petite team for the care they have provided to my children over the years. Esther Peter

It's worth the hike up for your kids to have experiences you won't be able to find anywhere else in the world with life long core memories that build good character. I HIGHLY recommend enrolling your kids here even if it's for one week day camp, or a focus group. I also LOVE that it's been operating for over 70 years by the same family running it today. You won't find anywhere else that has not only a turn key, organized, professional establishment but that's run by heart, soul, love for the outdoors, community, respect for one another, and tradition. It's also a great place to have your wedding or any special event!!

The owners Lynn and Mike are incredibly easy to work with. All the staff are well trained and very attentive to the children and help stretch their comfort zone in fun challenging activities. This year camp was cancelled due to COVID-19. As an alternative, CMR has been hosting single family activities to ensure social distancing. We took the opportunity to do this and we had a blast. As parents, we really didn't know much about how the kids spent their time on the ranch. Spending time up there made me feel like a kid again. The staff made the whole experience fun and easy. The measures that CMR are taking to reduce exposure to the virus are as good as any place I've seen. They sanitize every piece of equipment and touch point between each family and keep the flushies sparkling. Oh and hundreds of acres to spread out the guests. After several months of quarantine and more to come, CMR's 2020 family program was much needed. It's also worth mentioning that various special needs grants and scholarships will cover the family program.

The indoor area has arts and crafts as well as a little loft to climb up to. Outside the playground is huge. The slides are nice, there is a bus, a car, and a stage. We started swimming here when Tristan was 4 months old at their free mommy and me intro classes. Which of course we highly recommend! Miss Stacy has an amazing program that helps get moms, dads and babies ready and comfortable in the water. The price point per lesson is a bit high but no more than market standards as we have noticed. But the cost is truly worth it once you see your little ones start to swim and love the water. I would have loved to give a 5 star review but honestly had to hold back. I felt like when our teacher was out due to vacation, illness, etc we were very well accommodated but felt the lesson was sometimes a lost lesson because the sub wasn't always on the same page as our son. Yes be still was able to swim for the day or week as scheduled so his skills were touched on but each teacher had a different way with their own lessons and sometimes we felt this would have been easier to make up our lesson with our regular teacher who knew the skill set and advancement or challenges of our child. Overall a wonderful experience and we can't wait to go back after a short break
