Earth Treks in Golden is my home gym, but I have also been to the ET Englewood (huge walls and tons…read moreof routes), Movement Boulder and Baker locations too. Due to the merger with Planet Granite/El Cap Gyms, membership to one gets you access to all the amazing climbing terrain. The amenities are amazing- lots of smaller practice walls and instruction areas upstairs, along with a fitness room/yoga studio. The cardio/weight room is well-equipped and doesn't seem to get overcrowded. One of the best parts is all the classes you can attend with a membership or day pass- strength yoga, relaxation yoga, meditation, HIIT, Prehab/Rehab for injuries, intervals, personal training, etc. There are also free member clinics on things like whipper therapy, knot tying, and techniques. Paid classes are longer and are totally worth the money and cover everything from technique and movement to leading sport climbing indoors and outdoors, and self-Rescue. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Everyone is willing to share their knowledge. And they do a great job fostering community with things like the Partner Project every Tuesday night where you can go solo and meet new climbing partners, and the Facebook trade a belay page that links up people looking for temporary or permanent clubbing partners. I highly recommend this gym if you're new to climbing or experienced. There are great routes for everyone alike on both lead and top rope. Safety is a huge priority here, and I feel much better climbing without seeing sketchy belay practices going on around me. A wonderful place for families too!

Great gym in the off hours but try to go after work or on the weekends and it's always very packed…read more The weights portion of the gym could use a few extra squat racks as well, theres usually a line to use them.

I've been disappointed by my kids experiences in the past and this year was no exception! Both…read morekids had some incidents that have made us decide not to return to this summer camp program. My daughter was in a Kiddie Coral camp where they were taught about horses. On Friday, they didn't even go to the stables. Instead, they watched a movie! I could play a movie about horses at home for free! This camp was very expensive and this should not have been part of a disappointing agenda. My son was in a Ninja camp. I also heard from another mom that her son had a similar experience. The camp was largely unsupervised by an older retired teacher. We felt it sounded like a, "Lord of the Flies," setting. The older and bigger kids bullied my son so badly that he hid under a carpet for much of the second day. I immediately began the process of removing him from the camp. The camp director said to me, does your son want us to try to help him integrate better so he can return to this setting? She said they could have him work with the coach more closely. I was/am outraged that they tried to blame the victim of bullying for the actions of others. As far as I know, the kids, nor instructor were not spoken to about their bad behavior. Although I was refunded eventually, I am very uncomfortable and disappointed by how this was handled. I would never recommend the camps to anyone.

My kids have done camps ranging from color camps to cake decorating, art, tie-dye, i camp, slimy science, spa, bike riding, skate boarding, gymnastics & bowling. The overnight was a blast for them too. I can't recommend it enough!!!
