This is the start of me taking dance class during my travels. It can be nerve-racking, but you have to get out of your bubble sometimes...it was exhilarating! Thankful to the receptionist because I was running late (Uber) since it's bad class etiquette to be late, but I had to do paperwork when I arrived even though I had already filled it out online. This made me more late. Real, the instructor, was great & she has legs for days lol. She invited me to take class the next day, but I had concert plans. I learned a piece that's been retaught, but didn't mind it since it was my 1st "chairography" class, but I've taken sexy/heels classes before. I was heels-less because I didn't pack any, but shoes weren't required. I enjoyed the warm-up, choreography, tricks, & extra time at the end. "Tease me please". read more

I've been going to Tease for almost a year now and it is my happy place. I love the pole, choreo, lap dancing, and "look good naked" classes so much and go as much as my schedule allows. The instructors are encouraging, body-positive, and fun, and the music, lighting, and ability to dress up sassy for a work out all really make it the best fitness class environment imaginable. I was anxious coming to Tease. I'd only recently started pole in San Francisco and got attached, but because my husband and I are moving to Denver, I wasn't sure I'd find a studio that suited me. Spoiler alert: After a few classes, I was at ease, finding my new pole home. I was in Denver for a convention, so I signed up for a few classes in my spare time. First was a class taught by Greyce. Another was by Brian. Both were phenomenal... Fundamentals focused on floorwork and movement, which gave me more confidence to dance. Spin pole was a little too much because of the altitude sickness (my bad for not realizing) so I'd give it a few weeks or months before trying the class again when I move. Love the variety of classes that are offered and the attitude of the students that come. Parking is plentiful on the street, which I'm stoked about because we don't currently have a car in San Francisco. I can't identify anything about Tease I didn't like. Even their social media team is fun and responsive. All that to say, I'm excited to join the community in 2020! read more

I love this little joint. I had been attending the all levels dance fitness class on Sunday nights prior to COVID. This class is such a good workout and the choreography is taught in really manageable chunks. The instructor always makes everyone feel welcome and works to emphasize a no judgement zone. Sometimes the dance moves are sort of "sexy" so it's nice to feel that everyone else is just doing their own thing and honestly, probably trying to ensure they look sexy instead of thinking about you hahah They have a small retail space and teach pole dancing and a few other classes that I would not be brave enough to take. read more

Very disappointed. My sister purchased a two week trial pass. She went one day but then unfortunately got COVID. So she missed her whole two week pass she paid for. She emailed the studio to explain about the COVID to see if she could use her pass for the next two weeks. It would have been clear to them that she hadn't taken a class since that first day. I have taken several burlesque classes here, and I also signed up for the Tease Me Burlesque 101 "school" they offer. When I initially signed up for the school, the owner Ashlee mischarged my credit card twice - she charged the card without my consent & in an erroneous amount. After this I arranged to pay in person so it wouldn't happen again. They claim that the school will prepare you to audition for burlesque gigs through teaching you foundational dance moves, providing a professional photo shoot, etc. In fact the vast majority of the time is spent learning group numbers, with only 1 hour spent on your own solo. "Professional" photos were taken by an amateur, and most girls didn't even want to post the pictures they received. They require you to purchase costumes for their dances - this will add at least $100-200 onto the class, even if you buy inexpensive outfits. When I complained about the lack of transparency/dishonesty, Ashlee and two instructors (Georgia May Wake and Miss Monroe) emailed me with two options. Either I could stop complaining and finish the class, or I could get a partial refund for the class, be kicked out of the graduation show, and have no affiliation with the school ever again. I chose the second option, because I don't want to be associated with an organization that treats people like that. Although I was sad to miss the show, I don't regret it. The burlesque school is not actually a school - it is just an opportunity for instructors to showcase their own choreo. They sell tickets for the graduation show but do not share profits with the dancers. They also follow your social media and criticize you if you do not post enough or in the format they want. Finally, the class instructors also told us to use Elmer's extra strength spray adhesive to stick on our pasties. In fact this glue is not safe for skin, as it says on the bottle. When I tried this glue, it hurt my skin and I had a rash for several days. I decided to use toupee tape instead, but when the instructor found out she said she wouldn't recommend it and I should be using Elmer's. I said the bottle was toxic, to which she responded I "probably got the wrong brand" (I did not). Recommending a toxic glue for sensitive areas just goes to show how they really feel about the health and safety of their performers. Gaslighting students who share concerns, and threatening people if they do not blindly comply, is the order of the day. Don't waste your money! read more

New to the area and got the Tease intro package of unlimited first week. First two classes were ok but the daytime class with Harper was TERRIFIC! I am going back just to take her classes - what a super instructor as she set the pace of the class just right and took time to demonstrate and explain moves, as well as coach students through them individually. I came from a small studio of only three poles so I was used to sharing but going into a studio with 8 student poles, I was not happy about sharing and thought the first two classes I took were too big to get good instruction. read more

I am a 34-year-old man who hasn't worked out in too long, I was very hesitant about joining because of the age I am and the shape I am in. Turns out this is one of the best experiences of my life. I managed to cram 12-15 classes in a two week period. The instructors and the other members who are part of the studio are amazing! They have people from all walks of life, all ages, all genders; it is a fabulous welcoming place. I can't think of the last time I walked away from something feeling so empowered, proud, and excited to come back. They do a great job here of making everyone feel welcome. I've only been doing this for a little bit, but I really can't believe I have waited this long. My only complaint is I wish they were more classes LOL!!! Highly recommend 11 out of 10 stars. We came here for a one hour bachelorette party lesson. Overall it was just ok. The instructor told us about 5 different times that we were so quiet and tired. When we walked in, she asked us if we forgot we were coming because we were so quiet. It was really annoying she kept mentioning it. We did some spins, twerks, etc. I loved the spins. Everything else was ok. The parts where we get on our knees was absolutely painful!!! Hardwood floors! They should offer us a towel or something! The lady was nice to record videos... but forgot to hit record on one of our videos :( so now the bride and I have no footage of my dance- no idea what I looked like. Lady also wouldn't let me climb the pole- told me I had to take classes to do that. I know how to climb a pole lady. read more

Everyone here is amazing!!! Britts pole-graphy class is so good, her energy is amazing, and she really teaches to all levels making everyone feel included! Delores is so amazing at breaking down all the moves and helping you build that strength! Jess is so sweet and really asks the class what they want to work on that day and helps us work on / master those moves. Ashley helped me twerk and is just SO much fun to take class with! Ashlee helps us own our sexiness& self worth. She also keeps us safe on the pole and injury-free! I know I'm forgetting people but all the instructors here are so welcoming, encouraging, and wonderful at instructing and keeping us students safe. Naughty Hour: Lapdance Workout; Burlesque; and Chair Flirt. These are the classes I have taken so far at Tease Studio and I think the next one will be an intro to pole class. Every class I've taken so far is full of energy, gets you really pumped and are pretty decent workouts for those who work out moderately. I usually leave with some sore arms and calves and fair warning, some of these exercises can be hard on your knees. Also, some of these moves can be awkward at first and some of the classes can get crowded. And more unnerving than anything, gals coming in to take the class after yours will come early and watch your end-of-class routine before theirs starts. Talk about confronting your fear! Honestly though, it's worth it. I always leave feeling a little more confident and a little sexier than when I walked in. If you haven't done so yet, take a class with Sasha. She's sensational! She is very easygoing and motivating. An older gal (she said she's 54 - yeah!) was in my class, clearly felt out of her element and actually said, "Being sexy's hard!" but by the end of class she was swinging her hair around like nobody's business. Mile High Pole Club is right next to my house so I tried them first. It was just okay. I took a few classes and then never went back. I just really felt that there was a greater sense of camaraderie and encouragement at Tease by comparison. read more

This is one place I miss the most after moving away from Denver. When I first tried Tease back in December of 2014, I bought the 3 classes for new students. I chose classes that were way out of my comfort zone, and took classes that weren't regular classes (new instructor trying out new classes). I was really intimidated by the studio and didn't come back after that. Several months later, a friend of mine was talking to me about pole and how much fun it was. At first I was I didn't think it was cut out for me, but she had me try a few moves on her pole and it was actually really fun. Because tease was the closest studio near where I lived, I thought I would give it another chance and try pole classes this time. Becca (listed as Rebecca on the class sign-up) was AMAZING. I fell in love with pole after taking one class with her and started to come here regularly, at least for the last 4 months that I had in Denver. I also tried out several pole classes with Ashlee (who is also amazing!). Aside from Pole, Tease has dance classes and also fitness classes (I love Becca's boot-camp!). I recommend trying out different classes and instructors and start where you are most comfortable if you are more timid like I was when I started! Beautiful studio! I came here for a weekend workshop which was in the studio space upstairs. The space is huge and has 8 poles, a mix of 45s and 50s. There are mirrors so you can check out your form when you need to. I took the workshop with the owner, Jen, who was really friendly and helpful. There's a nice lounge area just off to the side of the dance floor space with a couch, coffee table, and some chairs. I've been to a few studios that don't have a reception area let alone something like this. It was comfy, especially when we were sitting around reading our workshop materials. There's a variety of classes, which I hope to take upon my next trip do Denver. Ample parking in the on the street and in the "back". My experience with this studio has been nothing but friendly via email as well as in person. read more

Let me begin by saying I have not taken any of the pole dancing classes. I heard they are fun and great but I don't have enough upper body strength to dare myself to try it out. I started coming here because I really enjoyed the 'Look Good Naked' class and I also decided to try the 'Snowbunny Workout' recently as well. I knew that Snowbunny was more of a cardio workout but I was surprised it was a barefoot class. The classes are really hard on your knees and feet. Part of the look good naked class was all on your knees and the thin little yoga mat they provide doesn't help even if you fold it 4 times. Aside from that, the look good naked class made me feel slightly sexy after the class was over... So I guess it served it's purpose. The snowbunny workout was really hard on your feet and wrists. Some slim girl in my class hurt her wrist doing some of the workout and the instructor had us hop and squat barefoot for the majority of the class in the beginning. The hardwood creak in certain areas and just didn't feel like the exercise moves I was taught were really safe. The instructor was so in-tuned with counting how many more we had to do that she didn't even go around the room to make sure everybody was doing the moves correctly. I looked up and everyone looked different. Some people were completely lop-sided but they won't even know they're not doing the moves exactly right so they don't injure themselves since the instructor is not around to tell them so. I do have to give credit to hopping and squatting, it burned my legs 5 mins into the class and I'm still feeling it 2 days later. I didn't ask to check for any sort of certifications but I don't know how someone would get pole-certified. I think this is definitely appeals more to a specific demographic. At least I can say I've given it a try. read more

They have an incredible variety of classes of all levels, and they take it a step further by being the most inclusive dance environment I have ever had the pleasure of attending. All body types, all genders, all races: you will see them in every class and it is so freaking refreshing! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE, I'M OBSESSED! They have soooooo many different variety of classes and 99% of them are everything that I've always wanted to try! Ashlee Renne is amazing and so hands on. She really creates the vibe and makes it fun and safe. I was really nervous to try this class out (The Skin Series L2(201)) But once I got there and got on a pole, I felt so free. Breezy Ashley is a feisty ball of fire and full of sexy swag! Her class, The Naughty Hour is soooooo MUCH fun and her energy is so perfect for this class. She has such a big personality that you can't help but to morph into a sexy kitten. I definitely recommend this place if you want to feel sexy and get into shape. P.S. I was icing holiday cookies while at a friend's house. Her college aged daughter was home and was icing them too (doing a way better job than me, might I add). She started talking about how her friend was interning at a pole dancing studio and that she was interested in checking it out. Her mom told her she gets way too dizzy to go to any pole dancing class, so I piped up and told her that I would be willing to go with her. Well the next week, we did go and I had sooo much fun. We both ended up getting multiple class punch cards and going again in a couple of days. Now I must admit I haven't gone since she went back to college, but i hope to grab a friend or two and go again this weekend. The instructors are great--they create a very comfortable and easy to learn environment. The poles can be a bit daunting at first, but once you swing around them, it really is so fun..you can't help but wanna go back :). Others in the class were great too...all of us encouraging each other. I have only taken the intro/starter pole dancing classes so far. We spend about 30 minutes warming and stretching up--doing exercises and then the last 30 minutes learning and applying new techniques/moves. Definitely a different way to get a pretty good workout! read more

The ceilings are higher than any other studio I've tried and the instructors are awesome (Erin and Ashlee are some of my faves). I am a member, and it was one of the best life decisions I made this year. The teachers are amazing, and I teach yoga elsewhere. I love how I can take dance, yoga, and acro all in one spot. I really appreciate having such a wonderful place I can practice, and watch amazing athletes grow. My body has changed so much during the 5 months I have trained at Tease, it has been a transformative. I just started taking pole/dance/conditioning classes here on a whim. It's so rare that a workout makes you feel confident and attractive, but at the same time reminds you of how much you need to improve. I am an awkward baby giraffe walking around the pole but damn if I am not inspired every week to keep working at it. Ashlee and Breezy are dirty mouth goddesses. I am assuming the other instructors are similarly awesome. It's been 2 weeks and I can already notice a difference in my abs/butt/arms, and I am definitely feeling more confident and hot in my own body. read more

So, I might be a little jaded from my less-than-enjoyable experience, but I'm still giving this place the dreaded one star rating, and I'll try to honestly explain my reasoning for this. To give a little background, we went here for a bachelorette party with 5 girls. Now, this was all pre-arranged with the ladies at the studio, so they knew to expect us. What they failed to tell us was that the class that they put us in was a Level 2 Pole class, meaning, you've had to have passed Level 1 to use the pole at all. Now, to be fair, this was the only class time that worked for us on a Friday night--7:15. But to not explain this crucial detail before we booked these classes is inexcusable, in my opinion. Because of this withheld information, our experience at Tease was dismal, at best. Let me bullet point the reasons why. * We were OBVIOUSLY out of place. Every other girl in there, apparently there to get serious and not for fun, kind of stared at us like a bunch of bugs that needed to be squashed. Not that I took to heart their opinions of us (I'm sorry, but you're standing there in a-size-too-small bootie shorts, a bedazzled bra, and have your hair teased bigger than Nikki Sixx ....it's a little hard to take you seriously). Plus, it's not like we were being disrespectful, mind you, we were just a little giggly, LIKE ANY BACHELORETTE PARTY WOULD BE. *The whole atmosphere, for what it is--and let's be honest, what it is is a *stripper* class --takes itself far too seriously. *Which brings me to the less-than friendly "instructor": a tiny girl, possibly 4'9, & who could literally pass for 12 years old ('course, the pigtails didn't help her cause--rather creepy, really). She kind of marches in brusquely, hardly greets the class, takes a moment to shoot us in the BP a dirty look, and then proceeds to jump into right into the "warm-up" --which really amounted to some mediocre Pilates style exercises that lasted for half the class. (On a side, I did enjoy doing the "sexy push-ups" which is basically grinding your hips down to the floor as you push up with your arms and flip your head around....and which turned out to be the best part of the class, unfortunately.) *Now, this is where the whole thing became almost like a joke. After the "warm-up", this little snarky instructor jumps up and barks at us to get our chairs, pointing to the folding chairs at the back of the studio. As we're setting these up next to our poles, she starts going off about, "Not fucking around tonight" and "getting serious" and "getting this choreography spot on" because "the dress rehearsal is next week" and "you better have your costumes". I look over at my friends in bewilderment. Really? WTF is this? We just came to have a good time....didn't realize we were training like the x-rated Rockettes or something. *Then came the elementary and frankly, corny, choreography. Just straight up beat counts-- no half-beats, or less than half beats--it was like ameteur cheerleading squad. Seriously, the opening part was sticking both your arms out and ticking them upwards on the the beat count....again, really? I came here for pole class. But that little instructor just kept on drilling these banal moves into us....ugh. I found myself looking at the clock several times. * So finally, we get to the part we came for--Pole Time! But guess what? Snarky Pants zeros in on our group and snaps, "Have any of you passed Level 1?" We stare like deers in the headlights. *blink* *blink* "Huh?" one of us manages to reply. Snarky snaps back, "Have any of you done Level 1 yet? You have to have passed it to get on the pole in my class." So, as none of have ever done this, she shuns our group to the back corner of the room. The music starts and the "graduates" of Snarky's rules take their place on the poles. We, the dejected team of brave bachlorettes, stare on in confusion and annoyance as we are literally IGNORED completely for the rest of the 10 minutes we endured this bad-mannered bunch. Needless to say, we didn't stick around for the finale. We made our way through the flying, sweaty, meat puppets and gathered our stuff to leave. Not even a goodbye from the front desk. Fail. On all fronts. Don't think I'll be back, even though the girls on the poles before us looked like they were having a blast. Something about first impressions. . . read more

There's nothing hotter than learning how to throw yourself around a stripper pole! And no, I am not kidding. Tease Studio in Denver is a blast! It is like one of those studios you see on TV where glamorous people dance the night away and have a blast...only you get to be the glamorous, fab woman! I have tried a few of the classes here, and while the zumba and others are fun, the pole dancing classes are the best. The instructors are great and really encourage you to have a good time and that helps you to feel comfortable when doing something so awkward at first. The trick is to come back more than once. One class is awkward, two classes is much more comfortable and three classes, well, you're a natural! Although it might seem crazy, weird, wild and foreign, if you're looking for a good, fun and different kind of workout I would recommend this in a heartbeat. Why four stars and not five? Sometimes the classes are really busy and you only get a short amount of time on the pole. read more

Be ready for a very unique type of work out. Speaking as someone who works out regularly doing everything from Boxing to Yoga, this work out will kick your a$$! I took their, "look good naked" class on Tuesday nights. The class works everything!! I would say that if you are coming for the first time, don't expect to be coddled - you will get non of that here. The class wasn't that focused on the sexy moves but more focused on strength training. Think Pilates meets smooth Zumba. It's worth a try. I do wish they offered a first class free, the drop in fee is $20! Call and ask about specials, they do offer them sometimes. read more

Alright.... Couple things here to frame my review: 1. I am NOT sexy. 2. A work-out in my word only counts if I feel a little bit destroyed afterward. Now, I went to a couple different Tease classes over the past few weeks due to the joy of groupon, and though I found it an odd mix of entertaining and sassy, I'm going to just admit that, well, it's not my thing... The pole technique class was actually pretty tough so it satisfied #2, but due to #1, I couldn't really see myself coming back to another one. There were a bunch of girls in 5" heels, booty shorts, and leg warmers, and as impressed as I was by their skills, I couldn't ever see myself fitting in. So, i tried the snowbunny workout, which didn't really have any overlap with #1, so I was all good there, but it was a more basic circuit class that though cardio-focused, wasn't as heart-pumping as I had hoped. Last, i tried the ab addict/booty workout, which was two strikes against the initial notes from above. There were a few decent exercises,but probably twice as many hip circles and thrusts than the first "dirty dancing" dance scene.... All in all, I think that tease is a good place for the right person. The instructors are all cute, perky, and good at what they do. The studio definitely has a sexy vibe, (at least they cover the doors with curtains, so the visitors to the bar next door don't see the show). And the place is busy! Each time I've been there, it's a full class. So if you want a unique workout or a chance to embrace your sexy (in a group setting) try it out, but if you are expecting a gym, or keep your hip trusts to the privacy of your own home, skip it. read more

I've been a member of the tease community for over a year, having been a "VI Tease" member for a year (which means paying $150/month for unlimited classes.) Given my experiences at Tease, I can no longer give a five star review. Pros: Mostly amazing teachers (Estee Zakar, Marquette, Dillyn, Rebecca, Jenna, etc.) A great mix of classes - Flexibility and Conditioning, Pussycat style fitness, pole dance, pole choreography, etc. Amazing workout. Beautiful studio (although frequently parts of the studio take a long time for repair.) Supportive, loving community. My two closest female friends came from tease. Eight poles in the pole studio. The pole studio is huge and wonderful. Cons: Levels are not consistent (or even sometimes logical.) They said last year they were reworking the levels - that never happened. This goes the same route as when they added bellydance, poleairia, etc. to the schedule. Billing issues. Myself and my friends consistently encounter billing issues - we're the $150/month customers who pay their rent every month, and also their best source of advertisement as we drag our friends there (I've brought at LEAST six different friends to classes, most of which continue to attend classes.) For example, they "accidentally" charged me for a monthly unlimited membership after my yearly contract ended. Right now I'm trying to get it worked out so that I get my money back, since I'm presently on crutches and will not be able to attend a single class this month. Another friend gave them 33 days notice to the end of her VI Tease membership, and they refused to accept that, basically demanding 60 days notice. Three - Five performances yearly, most of which are a ripoff. For example, paying extra to have a "VIP" seat - but Tease overselling the seats so that not everyone who paid for the extra seats can use them, and not being able to see if you DID get a seat. Yet people who paid the General admission price got to sit at the bottleservice tables that they didn't manage to sell - so basically I should have paid less to get a better view. Our girls are so talented - I paid to SEE them. I began taking classes at another pole studio in Denver - and discovered that in some ways I'm way ahead as far as knowing tricks, but in some ways I'm way behind girls at my level in terms of strength. I'm finding it extremely dangerous that Tease does not put as much effort into ensuring that you are building the necessary strength to do pole tricks with control. For over a year, the bar in the downstairs dance space has had signs on it saying that it's only for balance, not for supporting your weight. FYI, they have barre classes AND numerous teachers in classes give instructions that have you using the bar to support your weight. You can physically feel the bar moving when you do moves, in some places you see the bar move away from the wall. Anyone who has used it KNOWS that it's dangerous. Especially when you have 16 ladies supporting themselves on it. Unresponsive owner, management, and receptionist staff. ****** When it's all said and done, I'll probably continue to take classes here and there because I LOVE the teachers who have done so much to support me, teach me, encourage me, and empower me. However, I hate to give my money to a studio that the owners (as far as I can tell) only think of me as someone to bill and not someone to support. I'm taking classes at another dance studio as well as a local gymnastics studio - both places the owner is in the studio, giving tips EVERY TIME I go in. Does tease have good instructors and classes?
