Was pretty nervous about coming here because the website is pretty derogatory. Lots of stuff about men in drag and lots of stereotypes about female fitness. But, the experience itself was good albeit nontraditional. They do not have a " check in" desk or a place to sign up so you must do it online and " walk ins" don't really seem to be a thing... But, once you're signed in, they've got all the norm amenities, shower, personal care and hygiene stuff and cubbies for your things. The class itself " sexy sweat" was hard AF but super fun. If you're not used to sexy dancing or dancing in general, it feels sort of strange at first but the moves are fun, the music was great and the workout was killer. My inner thighs and hips hurt for like, two days. It was great. Would like to stop by again but really do enjoy more of a drop in type situation. read more

Go here for a killer workout! I have done a lot of different types of workouts in Denver and this studio definitely offers some of the best/most intense. I actually couldn't believe how intense the first class I took ('Sweatin' like a Mutha') was. I also love the "sexy sweat" class. Hot Mamas is about everything you need to be a mama: strength, community, bone density, a healthy heart, babysitting, Pitbull, Lady Gaga and Phoenix. Every class is unique, sometimes props and tools are involved. We often run, skip and jump. One time we even practiced slam-dunking on the b-ball court. Those mamas could jump! This place is awesome! I have only been to two classes - but they have both been spectacular! They absolutely kicked my butt. I did the Butt & Abs Lab (I was sore for 4 days!) and just did the Fusion class today- and am convinced I won't be able to walk tomorrow. A great workout with fun music and childcare. I was extremely challenged and motivated by the instructor and other women in the class.

I absolutely love this this studio! I tried it for the first time last week and I was so excited to schedule my next class. Honestly, I thought this place was only for moms when I have driven by. But after reading the awesome reviews I wanted to give it a try! I decided to start with the Ab and Butt Lab on a Tuesday night. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but I heard rumors of these classes being intense and they were correct! I love the intensity of the workout and it was a combo of a lot of different moves to work those two areas plus some. Amy, the instructor, was awesome! She was very inspiring and had great energy. My whole body was sore for three days after the class and I'm signed up another class this week! I'm looking forward to another butt kicking! Their class schedule really does offer something for everyone for any part of your body that you are trying to work and everyone around you is encouraging. read more

This exercise studio is NOT just for moms. I belong to class pass and absolutely love that hot mamas participates! My favorite class is the Thursday Sexy Sweat with Allison. This review may be premature since i just finished my first class and am still a little high on endorphins but I really really like this place. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. Very clean and nice facility. To be honest I don't work out very much and I think I nearly died a few times from the fusion class (probably not the best first class) but it was super fun and I didn't even care that I sucked. I have to disagree with the Anne P's review. I started going to Hot Mamas just 10 weeks after giving birth to my son, definitely not a size 2. Now 4+ years later I hate missing a day. The classes are fun, great hip music, and yes...they are CHALLENGING! So, if you want to get fit with other moms and like-minded motivated women please come check it out. You won't be disappointed! For me HM has become been a difference maker. PS The child care is managed by a licensed professional - just steps away. I think this peace of mind and convenience is awesome! read more

Hot Mamas remains the best place I've worked out in Denver, and I've belonged to most of the gyms. (I've been a remember at Denver Athletic Club, Cherry Creek Athletic Club, and Colorado Athletic Club. Right now I belong to Bladium.) I tried out Hot Mamas because CCAC kept losing its best instructors and the classes weren't that good anymore. Randy, one of the best instructors, went over to Hot Mamas and I followed. It can be intimidating, if you let it be. A lot of the women that work out there are very small and in great shape, but I dove in and saw great results with my body. The only reason I'm still not taking classes there is because we moved and Hot Mamas is just too far away, especially since I have a baby and a four-year-old. Once the kids are older and in school, I'll go out of my way to work out here. (It would be fantastic if they opened a location in Park Hill/Stapleton.) The negatives are that the studio is small, the changing room is tiny and the bathroom is a little awkward, but that's not really a big deal. The good news is that the classes are full and have great energy. I never had a bad class or wasted my time at Hot Mamas. I knew I would always be pushed and get a great workout, which I can't say for many places. The different types of classes are great at getting a whole body workout. The only things I really disliked is that there seemed to be a large focus on plank and burpees, like a lot of places do, and if you don't have the right form, you can easily hurt yourself. (My shoulder was dinged up for a little bit.) Also, the kids' club is nowhere near as nice as a place like Cherry Creek Athletic club. It is just a room with toys and it's not that big. But you are only exercising an hour and the people that worked there are great. I didn't feel like it was unsafe. The bad thing, for me, is that you had to register and pay for your slot ahead of time. That makes sense, since they need to know how many kids will be there to make sure they have enough people working. But, since I have young kids, my son would often wake up sick or develop a fever and I wouldn't be able to go to class and would have to eat the cost of the childcare. That got expensive fast. But my son picks up pretty much every illness possible. Really though, I'm always telling my friends and people I know that Hot Mamas has the best workouts in Denver, and it's true. I can see people who are new to the place feeling a little out of place and outside the clique, but Teddy and the other instructors are welcoming and before you know it, you'll be in the groove at Hot Mamas, in the best shape you've ever been in. *** ADDENDUM **** Since I belonged to Hot Mamas, Teddy has moved to a larger studio with a better childcare set-up. Also, people now have 2 hours before class to cancel their reservation. So now there are no excuses not to work out at Hot Mamas! I'm counting own to when my children are in school so I can make the longer drive to exercise there. Really, if you slug it out in the beginning, you'll be so happy you worked out there. read more

My coworker Amy swears by this gym and took me to the "Sweatin' Like A Mutha" class...which lived up to it's name, and more. I sweated, died, and came back to life all within a 60 minute period. I just finished my "free week" trying out this studio. It really was free! I went to 5 different classes, all with different instructors during my week. I would have done more but I was pretty busy. It was really easy to schedule thanks to the app and email reminders. The app had details on what the classes involved. I have never taken a work out class in my life. Holy crap I am extremely out of shape! I have never sweated so much in my life. I felt great. My body was so sore but a good sore. I felt really comfortable because the class had a wide variety of women of all shapes and ages. I did a lot of modifying on my workouts and didn't feel out of place. I noticed other women doing it too. The music is fun and the hour flew by. I was nervous to take my last class with Teddi thinking she would be super strict or intimidating since she is the owner, but she is probably my favorite! She helped me with my form and was really friendly. The studio is clean and the upstairs restroom shower area is also clean. I would recommend bringing a towel to put by your gear if you sweat a lot. I'll definitely be back. Lots of parking. I was confused where the entrance was and after walking through the regular office building I found it. The door faces the corner of the street intersection. I have been to many different exercise studios in Denver and this is hands down the best in Denver. Not just for moms of course, but if you are one, it's even better since they offer daycare right upstairs so you are not far from your little one (or ones). Teddy's classes as well as all of the other instructors are very hard and encouraging. I've been working out my whole life and my husband says that I look like I'm in better shape than ever since coming to Hot Mamas and I'm only a few months post partum! Very very happy to have found this studio. Only small complaint is that some of the music has quite a bit of swearing in it. Not enough to drop a star rating, just something that seems maybe unnecessary at times. Just a side note, but otherwise, a great studio where all of the instructors care. read more
