Different locations have different membership pricing. SO if you register in Parker you get access to only 2 Denver metro locations. But there are 8 loactions total. and if you want to use say the Cherry Creek location you need to upgrade your membership. which is 50% higher. very scammy feeling and not a brand I want to support with basically a bait and switch model. read more

It used to be the Cherry Creek Athletic Club. Life Time bought it and has improved it. Lots of new and different equipment along withPickleball. The facility is adequately staffed and is very professionally run. There are a lot more people present than before. Simply not worth it. The staff is very nice and friendly. The expectation the price dictates is not met by the club overall. There are way too many members for the gym to feel comfortable. And it feels like many of the members are retired and live in the locker room. The sauna is generally full. I have to wipe down my locker every time I come here, because it always has hair and dirt inside. Shower pressure is hit or miss. Some of them are fine, but others have no pressure and showering is a frustrating experience. At this point, I don't even bother planning to use the locker room/sauna/shower, and I just want to complete my workout and leave as quickly as possible. As far as Life Time locations go, this one is a little small and tends to be crowded at peak times, but it has an outdoor pool that remains open year round, which is a big plus for me. The staff are super friendly and there's a room behind the cafe that many use for co-working. Pro tip: avoid weekdays at 9am when they open up for Medicare Advantage memberships, Saturdays after 10AM are also nuts. read more

I visited as a guest to play pickleball with my family and was impressed with how well-maintained the facility is. The front desk staff was very friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and everyone respected the space at the pickleball courts. While I didn't have a chance to explore the entire gym (very large), I noticed they offer a café, a children's center, basketball courts, swimming pools, and your standard gym equipment. A lot of people coming and going, but plenty of parking in their private lot. Great experience. read more

My brother has been a member of this club since its inception when it was the exclusive Cherry Creek Athletic Club. He always raved about the facility. Imagine my pleasure when I learned that I could join for free under United Healthcare's Renew Active program. I made an appointment to speak to a membership counselor who I was assured would give me a tour of the facilities and answer my questions about the club. When I arrived for my appointment, at least a half dozen employees were standing behind the front desk chatting amongst themselves ignoring everyone else. There was one beautiful young woman who was standing near the front of the front desk, so I approached her. She never smiled nor did she ever look me in the eyes. She was vague and didn't answer any of my questions sufficiently. She indicated that there would be no private appointment with a membership specialist or a private tour. She kept looking at the members coming through the door and would disregard me by greeting and talking to some of them. I felt completely unseen, dis-valued, and disrespected. It was so abundantly obvious to me that my age group is not wanted at this club, and I felt insulted and hurt. I admit that I responded inappropriately by making an unkind comment about her mental acuity. An employee standing next to her told me that I didn't have to join the club, and the young woman told me, "There's the door." This, however, is not the end of this unfortunate story. Before I even got back home, the manager of the club, Cass Grigg, called me and left a scathing message on my phone. He accused me of insulting one of his employees and told me that my behavior was unacceptable at this club. He went on to say that he "controlled all memberships" and that my membership was being denied. What kind of manager does this to a potential client? What kind of manager doesn't ask for both sides of the story? What kind of a manager turns away potential business???? This young man may disparage older clients, but let's be real. Medicare PAYS. His club is assured steady income for every Renew Active customer who joins. How many of his younger clients don't pay or are late paying their dues? It was a horrible experience. I wouldn't choose to join this club if it were the only one in Denver. Given the other reviews on Yelp, it would seem that the heydays of the Cherry Creek Athletic Club are long gone. This location is by far the absolute worst LT I have ever stepped foot in and I have been to many throughout the entire country. From the moment I walked in I was met with a very rude front desk attendant. She had a stuck up attitude because I came from a lower tier club, which is odd considering what a dump this establishment is compared to my club. The equipment is old, the floors are filthy, musty/hot and omg the smell. It smells like mold and mildew all through out. I almost think something is dead inside the vents, thus permeating the horrible smell. The layout of this club makes absolutely no sense and equipment is just strewn about with no use of reason when the decision was made on where to place it all. The pickleball courts are dangerous. I was hit by a pickleball player that chased her ball off the court and out bounds as it is in the walking path to get from one side of the gym to the other. She couldn't even be bothered to apologize and blamed me for being in her way. I was on the walking pathway!!!! This gym is hot garbage. read more

This facilty took over the old Cherry Creek Athletic club. It is not a new build. It has very old bones with a nice facelift. It is very small when compared to the newer built Lifetime's that I have been to. During the usual busy times, all aspects of the gym are crowded due to limited equipment and space. The cardio equipment is constantly broke. When it is reported, the desk attendant does not take notes. They just say thanks. There are no inspections on the equipment to determine faulty equipment. Equipment stays broke forever. For such an expensive facility, you would think they would take better care of their limited equipment. The pool area is nice and well maintained. The weight machines are in good repair most of the time. The Mens locker room is clean most of the time. read more

As a 20+ year member of the Cherry Creek Athletic Club, this Club turned gym is fallen off of a cliff. No chairs at the pool. Gym members were lapping the pool and eventually walked out and left the gym. With 50% of all recliners and upright chairs stacked on top of each other in separate stacked, they were locked with a steel chain and padlock, not to be unlocked. Several members repeated asked to unlock them so we could set up a chair, they would not. No explanation given, they simply would not unlock the stacks of chairs. 20+ year old equipment, throughout. As a runner I used to step onto treadmills at CCAC that were no more than 3 years old as they had a maintenance agreement to maintain them. No longer! In one row alone there sits cards of "Out Of Order" on 7 of 13 treadmills in a row. Not only unusable, dangerous. No entry without signing a waiver, period. This gym has a Spa, which is a leftover from the Cherry Creek Athletic Club (CCAC) days. They have nail, skin, massage and other treatments. To enter the Spa, if you are no longer/not a member, you must sign a Waiver, just to enter the spa to have a manicure. I kid you not. Ridiculous. The showers are moldy, dated, old and in need of replacement. The management of this club is worse than the shape of this club. I voted with my feet, I'm out, never to return. read more

This is not your typical Lifetime. It's a tiny facility but is treated as a tier 1 because of its location to Cherry Creek. The men's locker room is always packed with old men standing in the way having long conversations. Most of the locks on the lockers are stuck and won't spin correctly. The staff is typically chatting amongst themselves and slow to check in members. The only bright spot of this facility is the outdoor pool in the summer. Not worth the cost in my opinion! For 2 adults we are paying $297.08 per month or $3,564.96 annually. Prices are WAYYY too high. On top of that, you have to cancel 30 days in advance and the staff is very rude when trying to cancel your membership. No loyalty after years of business. AVOID!! read more

This facility in particular and Life Time Fitness in general are terrible. They have horrible management and customer "service" that is focused only taking your funds. In my specific case, their system had an error and assigned me to a club that I have never attended. They've incorrectly billed me repeatedly. When I pointed this out, they ignored me and continue to wrongly charge me. The instructors and staff are incredible at Lifetime Cherry Creek. Arianna Blazovic is always accommodating, friendly, and welcoming at the club, and she goes out of her way to make the experience of members and guests wonderful. She is an asset to the organization. Sarah D. is an excellent fitness instructor. I've taken her yoga classes for several years now and have also taken her other fitness classes, and she never fails to amaze me with her level of dedication and skill in motivating me to be my best self. Her classes inspire me to exercise when I need it most. Roberta is also an incredible instructor- she puts a great deal of thought and care into each of her classes, and I can tell she is a great leader at the club. Anna H does a phenomenal job of teaching GTX - I love the way she does music trivia on the first Friday of every month. I am very grateful to be a member of Lifetime; it's been a great way for my husband and I to spend quality time together while exercising, and it feels like another home. read more

Sadly, this club has badly slipped and fallen since my initial review several years ago. I joined when it was called Cherry Creek Athletic Club and though I will concede Lifetime Fitness added a lot of new equipment and made numerous cosmetic changes, the club has gotten unreasonably expensive at the same time it has lost all sense of community. The club is not properly maintained, the trainers are disinterested except when they're getting paid to train a specific client, and there are numerous problems with the lowering of expectations in terms of club etiquette. My mother is a member of the club, and whenever we visit with our 3 kids we love to use the outdoor pool. It's an ideal set up for our 5, 3, an 1 year olds! It's got a spacious family-only changing room right by the pool, a kids pool, and a toddler pool that's designed like a beach with a slow incline and water fountains. Our kids could play all day, if we didn't tear them away for naps. And the staff is always so gracious and helpful. If we lived local, we would definitely join ourselves. read more

Like many other long time members have said this place has gone from a gem which was zen like to a place that is full of screens and leaves me with a headache. Try a NIA class with 3 or 4 giant LED screens in your face while you try to relax! It is clear that this club caters to one age group instead of the more diverse age group from the past. We had to beg for a NIA class to be included and for the aqua aerobic classes to continue and now that they are opening up neither have been included in the new schedule. This is a sign of the future as the pool is open both in and out to open swim and the studios for yoga... so why not a NIA class or an aqua aerobics class? They were both popular. I belonged to Cherry Creek Athletic Club for about 15 years paying a year in advance. When Covid hit I had 4 or 5 months left on membership. When I tried to renew they would not credit those months because I missed a thirty day renewal window that I didn't notice in my email. The new membership fee they wanted to charge me was $159.00 when a friend and cousin were renewed at about $115.00 and $107.00. They offered one month free at the higher rate. Looking for a new place to go. This was great when it was Cherry Creek Athletic Club, but no so anymore. It used to be a place of zen where you could go get a good workout in at any time of day. At this point maybe you can get a good workout in at 2 PM on a weekday, but most of us don't have that luxury. Any time after work simply isn't worth the effort. When I saw the flash on one of their fancy new screens about "navigating a crowded gym" I should have known. Soon enough this will be a horrific person-zoo just like 24. Only 24 costs about 1/8 as much (take a minute and let that sink in). If you're thinking about joining, please do yourself a favor and come check it out right after work. Since Lifetime took over our gym, everything is perfectly matched --fancy fake off-gassing succulents, employees dressed in suits at the front desk (because you want to feel like you're walking into an attorney's office), huge video screens pushing sales. Nearly every single one of the great instructors have quit. We even have bad coffee now, so forget ever grabbing any on the way out of your new luxury gym. No, what happed here is obvious value engineering for corporate profit while downgrading all aspects of the gym hoping that members won't notice. Join if you're up for more pollution for your soul. I truly wish I was not writing this review. First off...I love this gym. Always clean, well equipped, great amenities, convenient location, plenty of parking, etc... I've sent several people there over the 7 years of me being a member. Recently I made a move from Denver for work, but I still make it back a few times a month. Today I went to the club, as I have done in the recent past, to get a day pass to work out. Not today! I was now told the club is private and I am not able to purchase a day pass. No exceptions. I travel to Denver frequently and always go to the Cherry Creek Athletic Club because it is an outstanding facility. The swimming pools are fantastic, always super clean, good water temperature, and very nice hot pool along side the outdoor pools. Initially, we joined because this was the only local gym that had a separate daycare area for infants and preschoolers so our 8 month old wouldn't accidentally get trampled, but we've remained members for 2 years because the amenities have been hard to give up. The pools are unbeatable. They include both indoor and outdoor heated lap pools as well as a great kids area with a separate shallow section for toddlers and a 3 to 6 foot deep area for older children. They have a convenient snack bar and a free box of pool toys. Among our favorite weekend family activities is a swim lesson followed by a poolside lunchable and otter pop. On the flip side, they have done a great job keeping the kid and adult areas separate including a separate locker room for families away from the adult mens and womens locker rooms for days when i want to relax in the Jacuzzi without screaming and splashing. Otherwise, all of the facilities are very clean, the staff and patrons are friendly, and Ive never had to wait on any cardio machine or free weights, and only briefly wait on weight machines occasionally. read more

I like the Cherry Creek Athletic Club. They really take care of the facility and they have lots of amenities. The equipment is updated and from what I was told constantly rotates in new equipment. It didn't seem to be busy around 6:00pm, which I like since that meant the equipment was open game. I will say there personal training sessions and spa are really fairly priced compared to other gyms I have visited. They have a lot of classes at really great times. That makes it really unfortunate because I am deciding not to join because of membership services. When I originally called to get an idea of cost, I was informed that it was "really expensive" compared to most clubs and it was like pulling teeth to get a direct answer. Finally, I received what I was looking for and it was in budget- yay! However, that initially rubbed me the wrong way. Then I proceeded to go through with checking out the facilities out, it was very sales heavy. We only covered my needs very briefly and if I hadn't pushed to see aspects of the gym, I'm not sure I would have seen very part of the facility. While we talked about the facilities, I was asked if I had any friends that wanted to join or what my roommate was doing for a gym. That really shouldn't have been part of the conversation. Since visiting the facility, I have gotten two emails explaining why it was beneficial for me to join based on the price tag and that price tag and a phone call reiterating the same thing. I feel so pressured and this experience with membership has made me feel really comfortable. I have no problem paying XYZ for a membership- it's comparable for a nice gym- not your 24 hour fitness/planet fitness. If you are looking for more benefits and features, just be prepared to steer the conversation that way when you are joining. read more

This club is great in THEORY as they offer a wide variety of athletic options (swimming, classes, racketball, spa, sauna, gym, trainers, etc), and the gym is very clean and up to date, but overall the gym didn't work for me and I found that out after it was too late. What I don't like about the club is... 1. You have to sign a year contract to get the best rate (I signed up and regretted it 3 months later as I realized it didn't work for me, and they're very unforgiving in their contracts). 9 Months and $2400+ down the toilet! 2. All the best classes and services they offer cost extra and are grossly overpriced (pilates, partner yoga, tribe team training, small group training sessions, ActivCore, personal training, spa, etc). So essentially, you pay $100+ for the month and then if you want to do tribe team training, its an additional $160 (for 1-2 times per week), so it can get very expensive, very quickly. 3. They charge $4 for bottled water at the coffee shop if you happen to forget yours at home. 4. The personal trainer I got when I signed up for small group training sessions was thrilled when his clients didn't show up because it meant the he got to "drink coffee and get paid" (his own words). He said this multiple times to me and made it apparent that he was only there for the money and didn't give a darn about his client's goals. I was later informed that this man was considered their best personal trainer on staff (I can't imagine what the others are like!) 5. The majority of the yoga classes should be re-named to "yoga inspired light stretching for geriatrics" as this class is an insult to yoga! The room is cold, the instructors are weak, and the classes are not challenging. 6. The Hot Yoga studio is (in my opinion) their best asset, they have a handful of great instructors, and when they don't leave the harsh overhead spot lights on, the classes are pretty great, but those overhead spotlights really ruin the class as they're blinding anytime you look up (and unfortunately, most instructors leave them on instead of using the side lights). They don't have nearly enough of the amazing classes, they're very few and far between, making it difficult to get a (good) class in if you have a busy schedule. 7. The management team doesn't care if you need or want to get out of your contract, they treat those things like gold and don't care if they ruin their reputation, take their clients money when they aren't using the gym, or have clients leave completely regretting signing up... the contract is like super glue! 8. They close early on weekends. I made the mistake of driving to the club one early evening because I wasn't feeling well and wanted to sit in the steam room....but they were closed. Ultimately, when my contract expired, I was out. I'll never again make the mistake of signing a year's contract with a gym. What a waste of time and money. read more

Sadly, I am in my fifties now, and until about six years ago had not stepped foot into a gym since I was about 14. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that going to the gym would become such a key part of my life, and thanks entirely to this club - it has. This is an upmarket club for sure, but the facility is vast, lots of parking and with something for everyone. Membership gives you access to the pools, hot tubs, steam rooms, basketball courts, racketball courts, cardio area and of course the weight and resistance training area. There are also a bunch of group classes that are free (spin, yoga, pilates etc) and there are also paid classes. Towels are provided, but you must provide the sweat. If you have the time, it's EASY to spend two or three hours here. The personal trainers have come and gone in the past, but right now, as I write this in Jan of 2018, they have a great group there and I want a shout out to one of them, Matthew Luckie. He's the reason I am writing this review today. This guy knows his stuff (really, REALLY knows his stuff) and is the lower back / core specialist. I've had back problems for best part of a decade and have been prodded and poked by so many PTs in town that I'd more or less given up, and resigned myself to a constant dull ache for the rest of my life. He has not fixed me completely, but through a series of stretches and core exercises over 5 or 6 weeks I have gotten maybe 50% better. And I'll take that any day. Core work was never my favourite, but now it is, thanks to Matt. Trainer Ben (aka "Relax The Face") has helped my 15 year old kid develop an understanding of yoga, which he now uses before all his soccer games. Clientele is definitely older here (like me!) and that makes for a more relaxed vibe. And you're not fighting for mirror space when doing those impressive bicep curls. read more

This year - Resolve to Spend Your Money Better! I have been a member for over 5 years, and have just cancelled. It has become clear the club only cares about your money, not your concerns. Since 2014, my rate has gone up 20%, so now it will cost you at least $145/month for a single membership. Bring a guest? Bring another $20 for a single guest pass. They continue to waste their members money. I've asked several times about leaving the doors open, been ignored. Yet, the roof in men's showers still leaks and the men's steam room is constantly down. But they did build a sweet fountain to run and maintain, and a groovy pickle ball court (you can use it anytime, it's always empty). And then I try to communicate these issues to membership, and I am hung up upon by Jacquie Marks, Business Office Manager. She refuses to take my call or respond to emails, and wants written reasons for cancelling, so here you go, others might find them useful too. There are plenty of other clubs out there, spend your money wisely. I can tell you from YEARS of experience there is no more added value for the ever-rising cost. They have their hands out at every turn, so only join if you can take $175/month in a few years, because that's the trend. Edit Jan 16, in response to Duane W.'s comment: I reached out to Jacquie Marks, your Business Office Manager, by phone Dec 12 and was hung up on without apology, ever. I left her two further voicemails that were never returned. I reached out via email directly to Jacquie on Dec 12 and 17, offering to sit down to discuss my issues. Both emails were ignored. All this was after I gave my name to Tammy at the front desk requesting somebody call me, which was also ignored. I even dropped in a comment card with concerns after the latest renovation, which were also ignored. My attempts to convey concerns have all been rudely ignored, and I'm done reaching out. CCAC had plenty of chances to keep this offline, but blew it, and is now in damage-control mode. This used to be a great place. Now, it is Quite disappointing. We joined because there is a year round outdoor pool. Since May, the heater has been broken. Signs say, "for the time being." Normally, in summer, that wouldn't be an issue, but this summer has cool Denver evenings and the water is not warm. Adding insult to injury, they are doing a major rehab of the locker rooms, and eventually, the indoor pool. There is no men's shower or family shower right now, and they can't keep the women's area clean with all of children and summer pool traffic. They seem to have problems with pool programming, too. The, "swim team," and swim lessons take over half of the pool many afternoons. All of the adult lanes will be doubled up, the indoor pool will be full of adults in lanes, and the swim team has two or three lanes for two or three kids. They don't put up signs with schedules, the website is unreliable, and the staff know about the building, but not the pool, so there are more than frequent frustrations. The, "coach," is rude and entitled. I can't speak to the indoor equipment much, we only use it occasionally,lduring winter months, but there is much equipment to utilize and there aren't too many people as the space is ample. it is quite expensive, they market aggressively and there are too many people using the outdoor amenities. It has lost any calming atmosphere it may have once had. if it weren't so convenient, we would go elsewhere. The JCC across the street has refurbished their pool, and Club Greenwood may also be a better option. This is from a swimming point of view. read more

Joined the gym just about 6 months ago and we absolutely love it. I'm a morning gym goer and getting a workout in before work is perfect. The facilities are large, well equipped, and clean so I always shower at the gym before heading to work. I'm a runner and triathlete, so my favorite part of the gym is being able to swim outside year round and hop in the jacuzzi to relax afterwards. And finally, the location off the Cherry Creek Trail makes for easy access for running and biking to and from the gym! read more

Some of the negative reviews on here are way off base. This place is a business, like any other gym. Read the contract before signing up here and you won't have any of the issues listed. I've been a member here for 3 years and I've spoken with billing department, fitness director (Kim), and the front desk staff whenever I've had issues and they have always been very helpful and accommodating. Furthermore, this place has more classes included in membership price than I know what to do with. I don't know any gym that includes unlimited pilates studio/specialty classes for free. Additionally, the free yoga/hot yoga classes are offered from beginner to advanced and are more than challenging for anyone except maybe the most experienced yogi out there - that review is a joke. Also, there are water fountains everywhere with bottle fill up attachments. The Ink! Cafe is not a charity convenience store created just for you, if you want to buy a water bottle you'll have to pay the market price - or go across the street to King Soopers. I love this place, it is my retreat away from work. If you go in with the right mindset, you will feel the same way. Most of the people I've met there have been members for many years. It is a bit pricey compared to basic fitness gyms, but you get so much with your membership. More importantly, they are constantly adding/renovating to make the place better for its members. Good facilities, bad policies. Typical gym that tries to get every dollar from you possible. I went to this gym for 5 years. Enjoyed the outdoor pool, racquetball courts, yoga classes, and the fact that it wasn't a gym where you workout to socialize and 'be seen'. Got annoyed at times with some of their cardio machines not working right, but that problem exists at every gym. They raised my rate several times, probably 4 out of the 5 years. I have a month to month membership and had to cancel membership because of moving. Their inflexible and uncaring cancellation policies ultimately required me to pay for 2 months of membership after my cancel date. Just not a great way to treat a long-standing customer. Horrible, horrible, horrible! Do not join this place! I joined the club because I am a mother of a 15 month old toddler and there is daycare available. When touring the club, the sales person failed to mention that in summer months when the family pool is open, in order to bring your child, there is an enrollment fee ($50) and a monthly membership fee ($25) on top of the membership dues an individual pays. This pretty much doubles what the actual fees are on a monthly basis so my son can sit on my lap at the pool. They claim there is a great family changing facility, but on a busy day who has the time to wait 30-45 minutes for a turn in the 2 showers they have. There are no changing stations, just bare counters and no sanitizing wipes anywhere either. When I realized how much additional it would cost to bring my son I immediately emailed the club to request the termination of my membership. I had only been a member for maybe 2 months and it was the first time I tried to bring my son to the pool. No one has been helpful. They pretty much refused to let me out of my contract even though they didn't fully disclose the costs involved. Instead of remedying a situation they caused due to carelessness, they want to force people to stay. With the money it will cost you to bring your child, find a babysitter and skip this place. This kind of customer service for a club of this level is absolutely ridiculous. read more
