No longer Earth Treks, but all the same quality and value you'd expect with Movement. And, it's nice to have options with the many Movement locations. I've been climbing off and on for about 16 years and really appreciate the attention to detail that Movement offers. Staff are always super helpful. Events are plentiful and if you're wanting to up your game with classes, even learn to lead or belay, they've got you covered. And, nothing beats a clean gym. Bathrooms are really well kept and there are always plenty of locker and cubby spaces. I also appreciate the many lounging areas, both inside and outside of the climbing areas. The layout is well thought out and you don't really feel crowded despite having lots of folks in the gym with you. Membership has its perks for sure and the punch passes are another great option if you're getting your feet wet. Love this gym. read more

Of all the Movement climbing gyms in the Denver area, the location in Englewood is my favorite, despite not being the closest to my home. The facility is quite large and has more bouldering and climbing space than the other gyms. It also has a larger fitness area, including a dedicated room for fitness classes and a dedicated yoga room. Given the extra space they are able to offer more class options as well. Pricing reflects other gym franchises around the country - you get what you pay for with Movement IMO, if you choose to take advantage of the many membership benefits available to you (e.g. special events, gear discounts). read more

I will preface my review by saying that I am not in any way a skilled or avid rock climber. I am new to the sport and trying my very best to get better at it. I loved this location of movement because it is absolutely huge. There were plenty of routes for a beginner climber like myself and even though it was pretty busy, it didn't feel crowded because of how large the space is. The staff at the front desk was helpful in getting me signed in with a day pass and set up with rental equipment. I had a positive experience and would definitely go back. read more

Honestly just such a great place- weather you love to weight lift, climb, do yoga, calisthenics, or whatever else, this place is the place for you. Great staff, great vibe, great community. Only reason it's not 5***** is because it's a little expensive read more

I'm so extremely jealous of everyone that has access to this gym!!! There's so much space, so many walls, so many routes... it's really a climbers heaven! - PARKING - HUGE parking lot - there's no way you wouldn't be able to grab a spot, even at the busiest of times. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Staff is extremely friendly!!! I haven't visited a climbing gym where they weren't, and Earth Treks is no different! I've already touched upon the gym itself, but wow - you really can't describe in words how massive this space is until you see it for yourself! - RATES/CLIMBING - $22 for a regular day pass, $18 for students. Save some time by filling out the waiver online - make sure you do it only a few days before/the day before as it gets lost in their system if you do it any more in advance! We were able to do Top Rope and Bouldering routes - I saw they had a Speed Climbing wall, but unfortunately it was locked. The Top Rope walls are all VERY tall, I think the tallest they mention on their website is 60ft. Lots of variety in terms of difficulty, so no worries if you're a beginner or more advanced! Same with the Bouldering routes - there's plenty to choose from, no matter what level you're at. - OVERALL - Earth Treks has plenty of other locations scattered around Denver as well as other states! I would absolutely love to check out other spots, as well as come back to this specific Englewood location. I would 100% have a membership if I lived here!!!! read more

Climbed here for over a year and had better opinions at the start than I do after canceling my membership. I bought shoes here, and snacks and like that I can add costs to my monthly bill. The climbs are updated regularly and there's a good variety of routes for more experienced climbers, but the walls are BUSY almost all day. There was a point when I felt like I was climbing at a wal mart, from the pop music to the cool tone lighting, the corporate feel to certification and maintenance (broken workout equipment for over a year, the kilter board never working). I did not like that, but the friendly employees kept me coming longer than I should have. For as few routes as you get to climb in the crowds, my year was cut short with an injury falling sloppily with people sitting in the fall zone. The employees again were awesome and helped me out on crutches and said I'd be contacted by corporate to have a delay on my membership and not pay for the duration of my injury, but alas, the call didn't come and I got charged more than one month before just canceling all together. Though this former earth treks was once the sweetheart gym of the city, now I recommend the spot or DBC for the pricing, upkeep, and community feel. read more

Love this location. Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Great route setting here -- favorite of the Colorado locations.

A large climbing gym with a nice variety of top rope, lead, and bouldering. Definitely enjoyed my session here and would gladly return in the future. I really enjoyed the variety of climbs, with several walls to pick from, there was no shortage of options. The one issue with the routes, is that they're pretty generous with the ratings. I have not climbed in a long time, and should not be able to flash a 5.10. The holds were quite generous, very easy grabs. They did get harder towards the top, but still not what I'd expect for a 5.10. I get it though, they want to boost your confidence... but still setting real expectations is important. The bouldering options were also great; nice variety of problems and challenging moves. Again really generous on the ratings. I haven't sent a V2 in a long long time, and probably should not be able to flash one in my current physical state. Overall though, I thought it was a good gym even if the ratings were generous. Wish they had some more auto belays and it would be neat if they left the speed climbing open. read more

Edit: The senior director reached out to me promptly after posting this review. She listened patiently and emphasized with my concerns. It's not often that you have someone reach out that not only cares about your experience, but wants to make it right; really speaks to the integrity of the organization. So impressed. Original review facility itself is 5/5- it's phenomenal. There is a vast array of routes for TR and lead plus a pretty impressive bouldering area. Near the back, there is a gym with various weights and cardio machines. Overall, super clean gym with reasonable prices for a day pass and rental. Now the reason I give this place 1 star is the absolutely horrendous treatment my guests and I received from one of the staff members. We are out of state PLUS new at climbing, we have a couple months under our belt. Our gym at home already has the figure 8 knots at every route so we didn't have a need to learn them. The woman who helped us, explained we needed to learn how to tie them. We stated he hasn't before and asked if she could help us. With a dismissive attitude she told us we should just google it and we had one chance to pass, and then walked off. I have never felt more belittled at a facility where I'm supported to have fun with an emphasis on learning and safety. We found another staff to help us out and he was wonderful- so kind and patient. Before he came around I was so upset with how I was treated I couldn't even focus, thank goodness for him. If she was my only option, my guests and I would have left. I'd also like to mention I traveled from out of state to visit this gym so yeah, not a great impression. Also, never got an apology from the girl. It nearly ruined my entire experience. All that being said I would ABSOLUTELY go back! Just wished I lived a little closer. Highly recommend :) read more

I have been going to Movement formally Earth Treks on and off since 2018 and I finally decided to get a membership. I really like this facility because it's HUGE and includes yoga, gym area, bouldering, belay climbing and fitness classes. The facilities are also well kept and clean. I love the locker areas where you can keep your items safe. The staff are friendly as well. I have gone during their busy times but it's never too crowded where it doesn't become fun. With the membership you have guest passes so you can bring a guest in for the day once a month. They also have discounts for products as well. It's just a good place to go if you're wanting a well rounded place to train, do yoga and climb. Love it. read more

Unfortunately they allow people to live in their parking lot. It's a nice gym I am very uncomfortable going there

This place really made me fall in love with climbing! They have a HUGE variety of route levels, and change them up frequently so you don't get bored. They also have childcare available, yoga classes (one for strength and one for relaxation), fitness classes, and fun events. The equipment in their cardio and weight rooms are high quality and well taken care of. The employees are always friendly and super helpful. In general, Earth Treks is awesome, but the Englewood location is the best. read more

For my 900th review, I thought I'd review the best climbing gym I've been to ever. Movement Englewood - formerly Earth Treks - is humongous with great climbing. The setters often reset the gym, keeping it interesting and freshy fresh. They did a good job navigating the pandemic and continue to do so. (Is this ever going to end?) And the only gym that sets some boulder problems and routes for kids. My daughter had a great time here and won't go to any other gym. read more

Amazing gym. It's so clean and the walls are so high. They have 2 auto belays for speed climbing and Grigris for all of the top rope routes. The setting was creative and felt very true to grading. Friendly staff. Childcare Center. Huge open gym area and yoga room. Tons of snacks and gear at their shop. Entire area dedicated to bouldering. I had a chance to check this and the Movement Gyms out and have to say that they're all great in their own ways. read more

Hello, I recently went to your establishment and was greeted with the worst attitudes from a red head girl. It was evident they have a dislike for Asians and its disgusting that we were all treated so poorly. We will never be sorry for being Asian and you should never treat others different based off of their appearance. You have lost many customers and we will continue to spread the news of how your employees treat Asians. If you don't like people get a new job because it's ruining the business's potential. read more

The largest gym in the nation is no joke. I took a top roping course here out of curiosity and I'm now hooked. This gym has large areas of top rope and bouldering. In addition, they have traditional gym equipment, yoga and strength classes. The only thing they don't have at this point is a pool. Monthly membership is $80+ with $50 initiation fee, day pass is about $20+. I feel that the membership is totally worth it, and you get access to other Earth Treks, Movement, and Planet Granite gyms. If you don't have shoes or harness, it's about $5-$6 each. You can get belay certified pretty quickly on the spot. There's a large parking lot, gets really busy on weekdays nights. Some street parking near the building as well. read more

We had to freeze our membership, ($8.00 monthly) starting in early December because of the new policies with the lower capacities and the reservations being full. Our schedules aren't always mashing well either! This is no way Earth Trek's fault and I am still going to give my favorite rock climbing gym a 5. Yes, I fell in love with this rock climbing gym and it's going to stay that way! We usually come very late at night, and also notice some major changes in the last 90 days. There were a couple times we showed up on a waiting list and we only had 30 minutes to climb. This is a new operation for EarthTreks, so we never want to fault them for anything. This gym is AMAZING, and we've been rock climbing only so much in 2020. The gym recently reopened back in July or so, and with my group of friends and the hubby, we tried to take the opportunity to really climb. I am hoping to unfreeze my account for January, but realistically in February, and continue to pay my $89.00 a month! Earth Treks has virtual yoga classes going on, but their yoga studio remains out of service. I sometimes go hangout there when I take a break from the walls. The front counter sold me a wonderful pair of vegan rock climbing shoes for $80.00 that were made in South Korea! They have face masks in their counter and lots of hand sanitizer everywhere. Some of the cleanest restrooms, but their locker room remains closed. I go online all the time and make reservations for Nick and I and sometimes have luck going on Wednesdays during the day. I'm not sure if EarthTreks is still allowing walk ups before 3:00pm. They are only allowing us to book 5x a week maximum, which is why we froze our account, because Nick loves going more than that. Unfortunately, I wanted to bring my sister as a guest, but the gym will not be accepting day passes, member guest passes, or selling 7-visit passes. Looking at their website currently, and you know what? Walk ups aren't even available anymore! BUMMER!! stay tuned for updated review. read more

Solid 3.5 star climbing gym! Positives first: - climbing wise on ropes, for the beginner and intermediate climber, your setters are right in your sweet spot - in general, all route setting is really really good IMO I like it even if the grading is all over the place - super clean gym along with locker rooms being well looked after - workout facility is great! - ample parking - generally friendly staff - tall walls, clips are a bit tightly spaced, but you'll be able to get your mileage in - relatively low crowds and not overly packed - IMO the monthly rate is pretty low for what the gym is - they are good at making towels available - the circulation and chalk filtration is good - the holds are clean! - they'll change the music upon polite request - AND they have really long open hours that cater to many people's schedules Negatives: (these are really nitpicking because of what the gym could be to make it so much better) - filling out the online website form for feedback on the gym and route setting (per their posted instructions) goes unread or more specifically, never responded to - climbing wise on ropes, for the advanced and elite climber, you'll find the grades aren't calibrated and are all over the place. You'll also climb out most of the gym and need to start making up your own difficulty through link ups - route setters do not review Kaya app feedback nor respond to it - no physical route setting map nor route schedule on display to know what's new, what's coming down, or what's going up. In general there is no adherence to setting schedule if you find the pdf online, nor is there consistency in change out of areas (some routes stay up for multiple months when others get swapped out every couple weeks) - lead instruction is not done in their instruction area claiming the walls are too short for proper lead instruction and not safe for big lead falls they teach (yet there are draws up in the area) - lots of wasted wall space for routes in rope area, the speed wall is rarely/never used and could have routes on it, and the slab-overhang wall has only one featured route for TR, no draws on it and is replaced maybe once a quarter instead of changed out regularly - quantity of routes could be increased. Some anchors have one line when others have two lines. And it's inconsistent which anchors will get the two lines or one line - no anchor number indicators mean climbers on lead and TR are often climbing over each other - after the el cap gym corp purchase, rope climbers are no longer allowed to use the bowline retrace (not the double bowline, but the bowline retrace is now deemed unsafe) Last note. Bring your own water. Water tastes bad. That's the city of Englewood though, not the gym's fault. A nice enhancement would be to add in their own purifying system for us. read more

In the Denver area visiting family and decided to take advantage of an indoor activity to escape the snow storm. Movement has plenty of great climbs from simple bouldering to some solid top rope ceiling climbs. We made an afternoon of it burning our forearms and legs. Prices are reasonable and the staff is truly helpful maintaining a safe and enjoyable experience. read more

A great facility. Baby friendly and clean. Great range of climbs. Showers clean too. Stop by!

I've been a member of the EarthTreks location in Golden since the start of this year, so naturally when I heard that a second location was opening up I was pretty ecstatic. This gym has everything you need, and I truly do mean everything. It is the largest gym in the entire country - that's pretty impressive! Here are some awesome things you can look forward to if you decide you want to check out ET Englewood: - Lounge Area - Super tall climbing walls (55ft I believe!) - Extensive bouldering area - Gymnastics training area - Fully equipped gym with cardio machines, free weights, barbells etc. - Workout room for group classes - Yoga studio - Each top roping wall is equipped with GriGri's - yes!! - Super friendly and helpful staff members So what are you waiting for?! Go check it out! read more

Rock solid gym! Ok besides me not being able to resist the perfect pun, this gym truly is "wow"!! It's huge! So many routes - and a variety of routes too for top rope. So many times gyms cater to the more advanced climbers - I like that they set routes for all levels here. It's airy, has tall walls, it's clean, and people are friendly. read more

This was my first time climbing (as an adult since I used to go a lot with Girl Scouts but I don't think that counts...) and I had such a blast!! The staff was really nice when checking us in and doing the belay check, and I really enjoyed all the routes. I was with my boyfriend who climbs a lot, and with so many different levels of difficulty, we were both able to be challenged. I'd definitely like to go back (although probably on the weekend still since weekdays are pretty crowded I think) and check out the bouldering area and the yoga studio. The locker rooms were also very nice and they have lots of hand sanitizer and lotion for you which I appreciated! Definitely would recommend checking this place out. read more

Why does this place even have employees at the front desk? Sign a waiver? Computer. Update your student membership? Employees can't help, must be done online. Check in to the gym? Manually check yourself, employee is only there to say thank you. Want to freeze your membership due to an injury? Don't bother calling, you gotta do it yourself online. I understand it is 2022 and most things are conducted online; but really, these things I mentioned above are simple tasks that SHOULD be able to be completed with the assistance of an employee at the front desk. The attempt to automate 100% of the procedures at this gym comes off as lazy and a lackluster approach to customer service. read more

Great gym- the biggest in the US! Lots of cool routes updated often. Always clean. New facility too.

Earth Treks has terrible customer service. The company failed to follow through with their promised services in a yoga teacher training and then didn't acknowledge or address problems brought to their attention. Though the dispute occurred during Covid, the company didn't follow through with services they promised before lockdowns, or the services they promised after lockdowns. This occupational training was administered unprofessionally and I would question any certifications coming from this organization. The Yoga Teacher Training was unorganized and failed to fulfill requirements of a YA credentialing service: 1. The program didn't adhere to Yoga Alliance (YA) requirements and the YA Code of Conduct 2. Instructors failed to consistently communicate during the training time. I sent several emails asking about personal progress that were never answered 3. After classes ended, the instructors ignored my progress for an entire month (6 attempts at contact) and then proceeded to blame me for when and how I contacted them (email and text) even though the program was not complete 4. The program demanded an additional $1,200 in fees for additional time with instructors, though not needed. This was intentional deception and misrepresentation of program requirements 5. The program has no rubrics and therefore assessments are biased and based on instructor feelings 6. Submitted homework was not reviewed, instructors never provided feedback or acknowledged receiving assignments. Instructors lost my submitted assignments, later to be found, after I was forced to put together exhaustive documentation of all my interactions and emails during the program time 7. Due to lack of organization the teachers and ET managers released conflicting guidelines and statements and ultimately suppressed the truth about who was responsible for the program and how many and what hours I completed in accordance with YA requirements. They are refusing to provide these answers 8. The lead instructor harassed me in emails and created a hostile environment that interfered with my ability to study, meanwhile ET management didn't address this treatment and proceeded to force me into negative situations with the same instructor while not providing any alternatives. ET managers even failed to write emails detailing options, instead insisting to talk on the phone and stonewalling my questions It is obvious this yoga program is a money grab!!! Don't fall for any of ET's long-term programs. They take advantage of their position of power over the consumer. Verify what they say and get things in writing! I've been lied to at many points during this program. read more

This gym is under seriously poor management. Listen to your members and provide things that people actually want, like childcare and functional lead ropes, not expensive rebrands and signs bragging about you inclusive they are. They shut down a perfectly functional childcare center and now small children run rampant on the bouldering pads waiting to be smushed. Enjoy! read more

I LOVE earth treks and their new Englewood location has exceeded all expectations. Giant gym, lots of space for lifting and HIIT, tons of cardio machine, huge bouldering area, and a variety of routes. Shout out to all the instructors and especially to Chris, who teaches The Burn. Talk about an encouraging atmosphere and a great place to grow and work toward health and fitness goals. 10/10 would recommend!! read more

Been indoor bouldering for 2 years now. This review is only for the bouldering and not the ropes part. 3/5 stars overall. Here's the break down: Locker room: 5/5 clean, with free lockers with digital lock. They have showers and towels too! Staff: 2/5 kinda rude. I went with my friend (it was her first time) and she was renting out shoes. She was wondering what size shoes to get, so I told her that you don't want it loose and toes should curl. The staff girl basically cut me off and told my friend, "your toes should NEVER curl! it should be Flat!"...well she gave her a pair of shoes that my friend can stick a thumb in when she wore it... but what do I know? Bouldering: 3/5 The routes are great! Theres ample walls to climb and there's even a section where you can top off. Took 2 stars off for 70-80% of their climbs not having a safe way to climb down especially for a short person like me. On the wall, there are signs literally encouraging you to climb down and yet many of the times, they had no climbdown routes. The floor is covered by foam but it is super stiff/hard... so after a mild concussion and a whiplash later, I think I can say I don't think the routes are the safest. DON'T recommend this place for: beginners, anyone who's remotely afraid of heights, people who are paranoid about concussions Recommend this place for: advanced climbers, not afraid of heights read more

Great intro class! Covered the basics and we were ready for climbing. Def take advantage of "bogo" deal (they don't tell you in person) but you can bring a friend and it's $30 total for both of you and you have unlimited use for the rest of the day and can attend any classes ie yoga or fitness. The additional $25 for 15 days unlimited gym use was the best add on perk. We will definitely be here many more times. read more

Bada$$ climb gym. I'm not sure what the weird Jimmy C guy who has a picture of Jimmy Carter as his profile pic is talking about but Earth Treks Englewood has it going on. Their walls are close to maximize their space. Their Instruction areas are in a more enclosed area to keep yelling by kid parties from distracting climbers on the crux of their route. Parking lot is a weird mess but it's kind of out of their hands at the moment. Anyways. The routes are great. They have a plethora of great routes. I do wish they would rate the routes a little lower. I know. It's to motivate new climbers. All good in the end. Everyone who works here is very nice. I'm glad they have provided Gri Gri's for every top rope belay station because it drove me nuts to see people improperly dangerously belay with ATC's at Earth Treks Golden over the years. Keep staying top notch guys. read more

Came here for the first time with a friend (who's a member and already knows how to climb) and we had a blast! The facility is extremely clean and well kept. My experience with the staff was 10/10 service. A special shoutout to Sawyer for helping to train me in belaying. Although I hear the price is high, my friend got me in with a buddy pass and my equipment - rented shoes and harness - was free for the first time after signing the waiver. I recommend this place as something to do in the city. There's a wide variety of people, and most are pretty friendly too. Come check it out! read more

Awesome place! I believe this is the largest climbing gym in the country and it might not look like it at first sight, but when you see the whole bouldering area you can see how massive this place really is. Everything is great, starting from the easy sign up iPad system, the friendly staff, clean bathrooms, changing rooms and lockers, fun names for the climbing routes and enough space to hangout between climbs with electric power just in case you need to charge your phone to take pics ;) On top of that they have yoga classes, a small workout area and enough items for sale to gear you up! Can't wait to go again. read more

Pass if you plan on only bouldering here. Highest price in town @ $22 for a day pass and for what. You get to experience some really old boulder problems, which results in the grades being off, the place must get a lot of traction because the holds are so gross, forget about any grip/texture because you will be climbing on programs 1-2 months old. The amount of space means nothing if you'll don't take the holds down to clean them and set new problems. Really only good for members not for visitors. read more

Kind of frustrating -- crammed in like sardines because they didn't use the space very well. Way too much room dedicated to "instruction" walls and fitness space, they could've put in so much more climbing and also had space for people to move around. Trying to move around the belay so the rope doesn't drag across the climber and there's no room -- you'd think these people had never climbed. Also -- I hope they got a huge refund from whoever striped/planned their parking lot (or they flat-out got fired) because it's ridiculous, seriously how can you screw that up? Not interested in going to the climbing gym just to have my car clipped by someone trying to squeeze their FJ Cruiser through... Attention to detail was not their motto on this one, and take the "largest climbing gym" with a big grain of salt. On the plus side the walls are super sculpted and interesting. read more
