The environment and people are so welcoming! Never have a bad experience here and they offer so many classes!!

When Sankalpa first opened up, I wasn't sure how I felt about the combination of yoga and pole in one space (didn't realize that was a thing) but when I finally made it out to a class, everything made sense. The space feels so serene between the "jungle wall" of the pole room, well-equipped locker room, and plants everywhere. The only class I've taken (a few times) is Pole 4 with Estee. I've had her as an instructor at a few other pole studios, so it was nice to have some level of familiarity with her teaching style. The weird details I like about Sankalpa are the microphone headset worn by the instructor and the water refill station next to the front desk. I've made a few friends at the studio who come here more often than I do. It's a little far of a drive for me (plus traffic) because of where I live, but if you can, definitely check out their variety of yoga, dance, and pole classes. Generally explore all the spots around Denver to experience different teaching styles and communities. Hooray for fitness! read more

This fitness studio offers primarily yoga and pole dancing classes, but I've also seen a stall bar's class, aerial yoga, and classes like flexibility and mobility, hip and shoulder rehab yoga, and balancing. I love to training studios and I've had the privilege of taking classes with some of Denvers best instructors. One coming to the studio, I recognized some familiar names on the schedule and I'm impressed that they have brought together some of Denvers best fitness instructors in a studio that offers a great variety of classes that empower and welcome people into an inclusive environment. This studio has become my new hOM. I just recently moved here from illinois, and I was absolutely dreading that I had to find a new yoga studio. If you are in the same boat, STOP LOOKING! The Sankalpa Collective is very welcoming and they offer absolutely wonderful classes. My favorite parts about this studio is the massive space, the cleanliness, and that some of the yoga classes have the traditional feel to them. Along with all of this, the instructors are all intelligent in what they teach and are all extremely kind souls. If you're debating on stopping by to take a class, JUST DO IT! WARNING: This pole studio has ZERO interest in protecting women from PERVERTS! I was super flexible with the owner but she only cares about profit. She pays the teachers per head, not per hour, which means you won't get to practice on your own pole. She wants to pack the classes with as many people as possible, including perverts! What the hell am I paying for if I don't even get to use your equipment girl? I literally only got to use my own pole ONCE and I've gone over 10 times! Wow! If you have a wall at home, then you're better off practicing at home where you won't be GASLIGHTED! If you are reading this Jessy...when someone comes to you who is feeling uncomfortable about creeps in your studio and respond with "OH HE IS HARMLESS" you are gaslighting. This is the definition of gaslighting! Go ahead and gaslight me again in the comments... Also, if you are new to pole here beware of CLIQUES and DRUNK girls who will literally injure you with their heels/egos when you are standing against the wall having to wait your turn for half the class! I have four credits left on my package and will not be returning to a place that belittles the safety of women, women who are here to heal and feel confident. You can keep my money, I feel DISGUSTING after this experience. FYI ladies...an at home pole is around $250...pretty much the same price as her packages...if you install it for just one month to try it out and end up taking it down, you will get wayyyy more value than doing a forearm stand against a wall at her studio and being treated like shit. One last thing, her warmups are problematic! You can prep your body so much better at home than in her classes. She will literally make you do jumping jacks for one minute and expect you to begin class...girl someone is going to get hurt! read more

This is my new favorite place, my sanctuary. I first came for a belly dancing workshop and then signed up for their 7 days for $7 special. I took various yoga and dance classes all week and completely fell in love with this space and everyone inside it. My favorite classes are Katelyn's Inferno Flow and Marquette's Street Jazz and Twerkshop, but I've loved every class I've taken. This is community, fellowship, spiritual growth, fitness, therapy, etc. It literally checks all the boxes of things I need in my life, so I'm a monthly unlimited gal now. I can't say enough about it. I'm not sure if the people on here who posted the negative reviews have even been to Sankalpa. I'm a POC and every class I'm in, I see has a great number of diverse group of people. It's an amazing community Sankalpa created since the opening. I enjoy chatting with people and hearing their backgrounds. As a POC person, I do get nervous sometimes what people think of me. The owner Jessy, all the instructors, and other students are always touching base and genuinely seeking how I'm doing. I've never felt more welcome and included in this community. The studio has been my second home since COVID. Im pregnant and worried about getting COVID. I love the measures they taken since their opening to prevent the spread of COVID. I feel extremely safe going to the studio. I take pole classes and yoga classes there. Thank you Sankalpa Collective and Jessy for all you do. read more

This studio is gorgeous! I took Brittany fellows floor work class and it was so much fun! They make everyone feel welcome, and I saw the yoga studio which was such a beautiful space. On top of that they are staying really safe during Covid. There is plenty of space to be more than 6 feet apart. Additionally they went the extra mile with special filters that kill bacteria and viruses. They have an amazing system to run really good virtual classes as well. I am just really impressed with how safe they are keeping the community, while keeping our mental health in good shape with yoga and Pole! read more

I have been to a lot of gyms/studios and this one takes the cake. The owner is incredibly sweet and passionate, every single instructor I took a class with is not only kind but extremely talented at their craft, they offer a diverse assortment of unique classes and the facility is not only immaculately clean but also so stylish and cute. They even practice sustainability throughout the studio which is a massive plus for me. I was so thrilled to hear this space opening in my neighborhood. At the time I was a bit apprehensive of returning to a gym-like environment with Covid. I reached out to the owner to see what practices would be in place to ensure the safety of its patrons and was pleasantly surprised in the owner's speedy and thorough response. She had obviously been taking this seriously and followed through in numerous safe practices and physical upgrades to the building. She has top quality air filtration systems, follows the county's specific capacity guidelines, checked temperatures for EVERY person and upholds a strict full-face mask coverage policy as well as your own alcohol bottles to disinfect ANY shared piece of equipment (matts, bolsters, blankets, poles, etc) They're also environmentally conscious with re-usable wash cloths , compost, trash, and recycle bins with appropriate signage to ensure proper use, and moreover welcoming to ALL people with a 'come as you are attitude.' In taking 147 classes since its opening, I have felt nothing but encouragement, celebration, acceptance and love from this community and would highly encourage you to visit! This is a mindfully clique-free environment. If you've ever been curious about pole fitness or want a space to feel free to explore movement, dance, yoga, mindfulness, spirituality.. look no further. Poor skills in communication with first timers at their facility. No one ever reached out to me to confirm my class time, the date, who my class was with etc, except for an email of the receipt (which had no explanation of an 8 hour cancellation) I needed to re schedule and wasn't aware of the 8 hour cancellation fee which means I can't get my money back, there was no info of this anywhere including my receipt and their website. Have better communication skills. read more

Sankalpa is friggin' amazing. The interior was beautifully designed and the atmosphere when you walk in is a warm embrace of presence, peace, and eastern-inspired beauty! Wide variety of available classes: pole, yoga, dance, inversions, gymnastics, creative meditation, etc. Pole room and main event room are both gorgeous. Large room has soft floors that are easier on the joints if you're doing anything acrobatic. Owner is an amazing person that you are sure to quickly befriend :) read more
