I've never left a negative review, but this place was the worst stereotype of an LBS during my brief visit. The shop was empty, but there was no greeting when I entered, no offer of assistance while I spent several minutes looking for the correct tubes, no acknowledgment from the pouty kid at the register, except to point out the option to leave a tip... I could only laugh. One employee managed a "have a good day, man" as I walked out the door. This is a nice, clean little bike shop that seems overpriced. They charge ten bucks for a single mountain bike tube, which is almost twice what you'd pay at Walmart or online. I'm all for supporting the little guy, but when the markup on small stuff is close to 100%, I'll probably only do so once. Another issue is their very small selection of clothing, parts and accessories. I was looking for a reasonably-priced shop with good selection and that's not really what they do here. They carry maybe one or two models of bike computer, helmet, water bottle, etc. What's in stock isn't very clearly marked with a price tag, either, but based on what I paid for a single tube, I assume everything is full retail or higher. It looks like most of their store is set up for service and selling new bikes, which is fine, but not really what I need, as I do my own tune-ups and repairs. Maybe they have better deals on those, but for parts and accessories, you can definitely do better elsewhere. read more

The folks who work there are super knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to share useful advice in a non-condescending manner. Highly recommend! The rear derailleur on my road bike was clicking and not shifting to all the gears, so I brought my bike in. They checked it out and fixed it in no time. I had bought a bike from Facebook marketplace and the first time I rode it the pedal fell off and I realized that the threads were stripped. I've driven by this place a ton of times and wasn't sure if they'd be able to help me. FYI I'm a newbie when it comes to bikes. First off, I called the shop and asked them if they'd be able to help me and the guy that answered was very helpful. I brought my bike in and had no idea how much everything would cost. Wes was the young man that helped me and he was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. I told him that I had issues with the pedal and also with the brakes. He looked at it for about 10 minutes and came back and told me what it needed. I thought I'd have to leave it there and he said that he could actually fix it in 15 minutes! He ended up fixing it right then and there and the cost was ALOT cheaper than I had thought. I will def recommend this place. They're fast, fair and friendly! It was an excellent experience. Stumbled on this shop when we were out riding one day because we had a low tire they happily pumped it up. We then took both our proudfoot mountain bikes back for a tune up and clean they did any excellent job and were very fast we had our bikes back in one day and they were running great. My husbands still had a little noise I took it back and they spent another 1.5 hour on it and only charged me for a new chain and found the noise in a small little part. In today's world, good things come to those who are patient and treat others with respect, provide good customer service, and a joke or two. I love going to Colorado Cycle Dynamics that I'm there probably a bit too often that Nate says I need a punch card for my weekly visits. That's the type of humor I appreciate, especially when I'm coming in with something I can't figure out how to do at home, or something I don't have the tools to do. There's times I've had to wait a bit to talk with Nate or one of the other folks there, but it's always worth it. I get a thorough answer (or many times multiple answers), some time for an appointment, and even parts ordered. The other thing that sets Colorado Cycle Dynamics apart is they want things right, whether or not it's the first time with the problem. Everyone there takes the time for each customer to troubleshoot or answer questions. Also, I've had to bring my bikes back to have them looked at again because the problem is still happening. Nate is never satisfied with an unhappy customer or a problem that is still hovering around. He will, every time without question, take a bike back and make it right. read more

The owner and staff are true professionals and were so helpful when we needed a bike repair while traveling through Colorado in our RV. They worked with us to receive a part that had to be shipped and when it arrived, they installed it immediately so we could get on down the road and use the bike in the rest of our travels. Nice place, the staff is friendly and they aren't douchy like a lot of other bike shops. What concerns me is I went in to get a derailer adjustment because my chain was jumping around. After waiting 2 weeks for my appointment, they fixed it and charged $50. I had the same issue on another bike that I got fixed at another bike shop out of town, and that adjustment cost me less than $15.00 and was done in a few hours. Perhaps there were some differences in the work, but I seriously doubt it the way both bike shops explained the problem to me. We all want to make money, but I think I will do some comparison shopping next time. Also, my spouse bought a bike from this place - that was a good experience. I appreciate that this shop took an immediate look at my bike and didn't try to oversell but talked me through the decision to fix or sell/trade the bike as is. The owner helped me himself and was helpful in educating me as more of a casual bike user. He seemed very clear on ordering the part that was needed and gave me an estimate of a week and a half to two weeks approximately to get the work done which made a difference to me as I wanted the quickest turnaround possible, so I left the bike there. He told me I would be notified if it was going to take longer or if something came up. Which in fact it did. And I did not receive a call. I understand things are somewhat unpredictable with COVID and shipping. But my experience with this shop is that they are not well organized with their work flow/prioritizing and they are not communicative with customers. At least not in my case. I called each week for the following three weeks and was given conflicting information about if they had the correct part or not and if it had been worked on- twice I was told that they had the part and would be completing it in the next couple days. The third week I asked to speak to the owner/manager and he explained to me there was confusion because they were short staffed and he apologized, telling me again the part was there but they were behind and he would "do it first thing tomorrow." Another few days went by and nothing so I called again and this time again spoke with the owner. He told me for sure by the beginning of the following week it would be done and to expect a call. No call and to be honest I was just so fed up with all the back and forth that I didn't bother calling them to follow up. Then I get two voicemails on Thursday, one from the owner telling me he was doing a follow up call cuz it had been marked that they had been indeed called me (Nope!). Second one one from one of the employees. And when I went in to pick up the bike, the owner was talking to other employees without a mask and one of his employees also had removed his mask. They were basically nice enough to talk with but I would not recommend this place for anyone who wants a solid customer experience. I work in customer service and it's poor business etiquette to continually make promises that can't be kept. And if not, business owners/managers- do something to make it up to the customer. If I'd known it would take this long just to replace the fork on the bike I would likely have made another choice in the first place. It took over a month. I will not be returning here for service. read more

After sending me to Ace Hardware to find they didn't have the part, I called Colorado Dyamic and they offered to see it. After a deeper exploration, they didn't have the part (clearly hard to find) but one of the technicians used a spoke from a broken wheel to recreate the part... And it worked. I noticed this place a couple weeks ago, went in to check it out. Got a great vibe after talking to them so i sent the neighbor in for a flat tire repair and am getting new tires on my road bike today. So I looked reviews up on yelp and thought this place has great reviews and it's local .... Took my sons BMX bike in it kept getting flats I on the back tire figured he needed a new rim . I was told it would also need brakes and bearings and my son want a new handlebar grips I told a worker to do whatever needed to be done. I was told the bike would be done in 4 to 5 days because they need to order parts no big deal two weeks go by I have not heard nothing three weeks go by call again, parts may have been stolen, but they should be shipped out again another week goes by I stop in no work has been done owner arguing with someone on phone oLder man is argumentative and I'm give bike back no work done and tire is off! Poor experience with this place. I bought a new, full suspension $1800 youth mountain bike here as a birthday present for one of my children. Given the COVID bike scarcity this was the only shop in a 50 mile radius that had the model we were looking for and we had to drive 25 miles to the shop to pick it up. Upon checking out I noticed that one of the cranks had scratches on it. I requested the shop order a replacement crank and we would return to swap out, which I believed was very reasonable given I was buying a brand new, expensive bike. The associate called the owner and I was then told tough luck. It was the only bike like this that they, and other shops, had in inventory and they were unwilling to address the damage. They offered me a tune up I would ostensibly use 2 years from now and would have to drive 25 miles to claim. Given the pending birthday, and lack of options available, I took the bike anyways however feeling taken advantage of given my limited choice. It didn't feel good. I asked the associate to have the owner call me to discuss. 3 days later and no call. Little did they know I am also in the market for 2 full suspension, full carbon mt. Bikes that we'll buy in the next month and I will exercise my choice when buying, not at Cycle Dynamics. read more

I purchased a used Electra Townine a couple weeks back and was looking for a place to give it a good once over to make sure there was nothing amiss with any of the components. I called Cycle Dynamics on a Friday to inquire into their service options and they told me to just swing by with it the next day so they could take a look. I rode it down there after breakfast (at Stuben's Arvada - Yum) and the guys were super friendly and quickly to check everything out for me complimentary! They even took the time to adjust the seat and handle bars to better fit my height and make sure the tires were properly inflated. I rode away with a much better fitting cruiser and confidence that whenever I need work done on any bike I own I will more than likely take it to Cycle Dynamics. read more
