The pharmacists are typically rude and unhelpful. The one I dealt with yesterday was so involved with data entry that she gave one word responses, clearly annoyed that I was asking to clarify my medication. She actually told me to just read the directions. This particular pharmacist acts like this every time I've had the displeasure of interacting with her. The shame of it is that no one ever does anything to remedy their employee problems. read more

This is the worst CVS pharmacy I've ever been to. It is also the closest to my house and I will be changing. I thought that because it was closer would be more convenient, but every single experience that I've had here has been horrible. That is not an understatement. I am using this as a description solely to give you an understanding of who the particular person is, I thought that she was the pharmacist she is what appears to be an asian woman with black hair in a ponytail what's a white lab coat and has a clip in her hair.( again this is a description so that you know who I'm talking about.) I don't care about anyone's background. I care about the kindness and the Customer Service show. The first time I interacted with her I asked about delivery prescriptions to your home. She did not wanna help me. She had nothing but an attitude and told me to do it on the app I asked if I can do it in person she said yes I can with an attitude. She did not wanna help me. She tried to find every excuse as to why she was unable to provide the service from Herself Mind you I was with both of my kids. There was no empathy or compassion that I just needed a little extra help. After her, not wanting to help me, I just said thank you and I picked up my prescription. I wanna mention the attitude was so nasty. It was almost as if she was doing me a favor by being there when quite respectfully, this was her job The other time I went with my kids again to pick up my prescription and she could clearly see me waiting and she chose to ignore me and dust the shelves no acknowledgment nothing. When you walk here, they do not acknowledge you. They do not greet you. They are just nasty like if they'll get to you when they get to you. I do want to mention there were two tech people checking us out and they were very lovely. It was a young woman and a younger man. And they were very sweet both times. This lady shouldn't be in Customer Service and she should never work with people. I will be switching my pharmacy to the other CVS up the road by the way it is where the vitamin Shoppe is. They are always very pleasant. Very kind. read more

I've gone to this Pharmacy for 20 years and the staff and the pharmacists are always very pleasant and they know me by name as well as my family and I feel like we're very well taken care of. They answer questions and answer them in a way where I don't feel silly because I don't understand. I do hear people grumble about having to wait in line... But in today is society where everything is so " instant" I would rather have a little wait and know that I'm getting great customer service and friendly, caring people who really take my health into their care. I went to CVS because I found some lip product on Amazon that I wanted to see if it was available. I already went to Ulta and Sephora...They had no clue. I went to CVS and a woman named Caroleena helped me. She knew exactly what it was, said that they had just gotten it in and that they weren't going to be putting them out on the shelves right away. So, she went into the back and got me the exact thing I wanted and brought 2 extra shades of the product. Then she told me about some other product that was exactly like the product I came in for, so now I had a choice! I'm going to start shopping at CVS for make-up now because of her knowledge. Also the cosmetic area was very well organized unlike Target or Walmart! Thank you so much for the excellent customer service from Caroleena! She is absolutely Awesome I can tell that Caroleena loves and takes pride in her job at CVS! You really need to take good care of her as your employee because she takes wonderful care of her department in CVS and of the CVS customers. This is a decent CVS. Parking is never an issue as the store is located in a large strip mall. They have self checkout stations; I have used them multiple times, and I have never came across any issues using them. The store is well maintained and clean. They do a good job with keeping items in stock. I have never used this location's pharmacy, so I can't comment on it. All in all, this CVS store does not stand out, but I have been to worst locations. read more

CVS is complete trash. Staff are liars, worthless and completely incompetent. I am on day 4 without pain medication post-surgery because of their idiocy. On Friday they lied and told me my insurance did not authorize the medicine. Yes they did, I have written proof from FOUR DAYS AGO. Before I knew this, I offered to pay out of pocket. The truth came out. They were out of stock and no CVS within 20 miles had Norco, a very basic prescription painkiller. Really? 20 miles? Someone is massively incompetent. And, I had to DRIVE there to get this update because their notification system is a joke and NEVER works. The staff also just don't care. Visiting them takes up too much of their quality time and they huff and puff as if helping customers isn't part of their job. One thing I will not accept though is being lied to, so I will be making one last visit here to speak to her manager a the woman that helped me shouldn't have a job. And don't even get me started on their idiotic self checkout machines that never work. read more

This is not my local CVS, so I was unfamiliar with the layout. The employee I asked for assistance locating items was SUPER HELPFUL and kind. Also, by suggesting I use a different coupon than what I handed her, the checker SAVED ME $5 on a $6 purchase! This CVS has such a nice, friendly atmosphere - due to the employees. Mostly a covid related complaint. We came in looking for some items and the clerk at the register was wearing his mask below his nose. My wife asked him to please wear it properly (and she did it quite politely, I might add) and he just got surly and unhelpful when my wife asked him about an item that we were told was stored behind the counter. I took the items I had for purchase back to the shelves, because I can make purchases somewhere else pretty easily. read more

All, I've been A customer of CVS at 1382 Moorpark Rd. for approximately 14 years. My son has intractable seizures and I cannot tell you how many medication changes I have had over the years for him. It is so difficult managing an ever-changing insurance situation every customer has a different need or challenge. These people at CVS are amazing they have to endure so many rude people it's ridiculous. I see them very sweet and accommodating professional and efficient. I wouldn't think about going anywhere else and I've never looked. Simply because of the people who work there. Recently my insurance changed and they made numerous calls to doctors and the insurance company as a result my son did not run out of medication and I'm very thankful. The pharmacy would not dispense a medication to the daughter of a woman that was so ill she was laying on the floor. No exceptions, no considerations. Patrons had to carry this woman to the counter for her electric signature. This is appalling and horrible to see the callousness of rules and corporate laws trumping basic humanity. Shame on you CVS. To the man doing most of the lifting you sir are a saint. Six months later...pharmacy still sucks. Always out of stock. What kind of company intentionally lets their customers suffer? This was my go to CVS, we literally live right around the corner and I've gone here for the last 2 years for my whole family's prescriptions as well as various odds and ends, such as masks and OTC meds. This evening my husband went to stop in in order to pick up a last minute little present for myself for Christmas. As he entered the store, he heard the associate, an Asian woman, at the front counter over the store intercom direct employees to be monitoring the cameras throughout the store. He had just gotten off work, and yes, may be a bit dirty, but certainly not to the homeless extent. He was followed throughout the store and then finally went up to the counter to check out. As we share bank accounts and credit cards, he decided to use cash. The associate, who we now know goes by the name Jill, refused the 20 dollar bill, claiming, falsely, that it wasn't authentic. He was so shocked by the experience. I absolutely cannot believe how they treated him! He went on to verify that the bill was valid at the Wells Fargo just around that corner. For the record, he is a pretty generic looking white guy, and we are firmly an upper-middle class family, as I'm a pharmacist myself. We will not be returning and I'll be transferring all of our prescriptions to Vons. read more

I've been coming to this CVS for about a year. Up until my last visit I didn't get the best vibes from one of the Pharmacists until my last visit about 3 weeks ago. I also hadn't ever really spoken to her until then. To my surprise, she stood there listening to me vent for probably 20 minutes. I'm not the talking type & Im actually very private but the severity of things going on in my life right now & being completely alone to deal with it or with a mom can no longer respond or remember. When the pharmacist asked me it was like everything just poured out & I didn't realize until I left how good it felt to be able to get everything off my chest & that the whole time I was actually talking to her she was listening, she cared, & she did her best to help me. It's been months since I've actually talked & months since I felt someone was listening. No I get the best vibes initially but I'm also not a conversational person and I've heard I don't look the most welcoming. I will tell you this though, given the things I'm going through right now I needed this Pharmacists ear that day more than I needed medication filled. Thank You Breanna O. You helped me more than you know & I'll tell you thank you in person as soon as I can do it without crying haha! BOTH pharmacists at this location are awesome. I'm APPALLED at the reviews!! I come all the way to this location from Palmdale because I love their staff & now three weeks ago I love the ENTIRE staff! They've always stuck to timeframes & it's always max taken 30 min to fill any medication. Even prior to few weeks ago and speaking to Ms. Breanna I didn't have any complaints about timing or any other employee in the pharmacy lol. I didn't have a complaint about her either she just wasn't my favorite but she was always good at her job. NOW after talking to her 3 weeks ago she's my favorite person & employee. Retail is hard & ive seen some MEAN customers go in there but from a normal, nice person...this pharmacy & entire staff is amazing. They've helped me through this time more times than I can count. Even with a limited mom sitter & not much opportunity to go that far I make it work because I feel like they genuinely care about me. My mom is on her last days & I am the only one she remembers so I don't have a bunch of people to help me or talk or anything. These strangers at this pharmacy make having to leave her convenient when I know they don't have too. Everytime I have to come here I have to pay someone to be with my mom and they always go above and beyond to make sure I'm taken care of that visit & don't have to come back. Thank you!!! read more

Like other reviewers, I found this store's pharmacy to be too busy (long lines and long wait time) so I moved my prescriptions to a location closer to my house. Other than that, I like coming to this store to find general household items, beauty products and treats. They have a good selection of merchandise and the store is clean and well organized. Went to the pharmacy to pick up Rx for my neighbor and stood there under "pick up" sign at the register for 45 minutes before the extremely incompetent rude Linh asked if I needed help. When I did tell her I was picking the Rx, she stared at me and walked away without any excuse. I thought she is getting the Rx, but no, I had to wait another 10 minutes for the other lady to finish with her customer, and then the other lady finally helped. The nice gentleman who was picking up his Rx witnessed this unacceptable service and also said he will report this rude Linh. If she does not want to work, she should quit or hopefully get fired. Agree with other reviewers that the pharmacy is beyond ridiculous. There are so many other pharmacies in very close proximity that actually care about their customers so I don't know why I ever come back to cvs. I was just in there and with 4 people's working behind the pharmacy counter, 1 customer in line ahead of me and one customer at the counter checking out, it still took 15 minutes to pick up a prescription that was ready for pickup. If this was an isolated incident, I'd be much more forgiving but, unfortunately, this is the norm at this CVS location. I also agree with the other reviewers that commented on the friendliness of the pharmacy workers. On multiple occasions, I have found them to be condescending, rude, impatient and utterly annoyed to be expected to do their job. And God forbid you have a cell phone in your hands- they will scold you and tell you to put it away, citing some nonsense about violating HIPPA laws. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a pharmacy abiding by HIPPA laws but demanding that a cell phone that is not in use be put into my purse is taking it too far. Now onto the store part of this CVS- it's pretty good as far as selection, stocking items, layout, etc. They cashiers are mostly nice and helpful, with the exception of one lady who always has *something* to bitch about every time I've been in there. When I came in Inside the store looks clean and uncluttered front. I found all the items I was looking for and made it to the register. There was a line and one cashier but quickly cashier reacted and called for backup. When it was my turn the lady that was ringing me up wasn't really nice no smile at all she seem to be serious. THe CLUELESS GUY (I think there is more than 1) said there were no refills, call your dr. I calmly explained that there IS ONE. Call your Dr.. he says. So I did. Doc said there was one so I called back and he says.. "oh wait, I guess there is one, yeah" crazy...then A few days later was promised an hour. Showed up in a hour and the pharmacist is "out to lunch. Another half hour"..I'm not entirely sure whY this whole process is so challenging for these people. The CVS at the corner of Janss and Moorpark Roads in Thousand Oaks is one of the worst pharmacies in the area! I try to avoid them, but the only benefit is they are open till 9pm. If another local pharmacy were open that late, to accommodate those of us who work till 6pm or later, I'd switch in a heartbeat. There is always a line of 4-6 people waiting to pickup prescriptions, so plan on a 15-20+ minutes wait time. When you get there, they are leisurely slow to pull the orders from the shelf and slow to ring up the order. They have no sense of urgency, even if you are in pain or sick. I went to the Urgent Care today, and my doctor entered the prescription from the exam room directly into that CVS pharmacy's system. The doctor said by the time I arrive at the pharmacy, within 20 minutes, the prescription should be ready for pick up. I allotted the pharmacy extra time, and showed up 2 hours later. When I arrived there, the first pharmacist tried to tell me that there was NO prescription entered in the system for me! After looking on their computer for a while, another pharmacist came over and said my prescriptions were entered in their system, but were still in the queue (2 hours later!). Then he asked me if I could come back the NEXT day to pick them up! Really?! I was at an Urgent Care, because I needed the meds NOW. I insisted that he fill the prescriptions right away. By this time, it was 7 PM. They close at 9 PM. He told me to call back at 8 PM for my prescriptions. At 8:20 PM, I phoned the pharmacy, only to be told they were STILL working on filling my order! Note that my order are just pre-filled, boxed simple items such as Nasonex, eyedrops, ear drops, etc. I'm hoping that I receive them before they close at 9:00pm tonight, as I'm out of town tomorrow, which is why I went to urgent care for this today. read more

I have been going to CVS pharmacy for 10+ yrs and this is by far the worst CVS pharmacy that I have ever been too. The customer service is absolutely atrocious. The technicians have no consideration for the type of condition you are in and the urgency of the need of medication that is dropped off. The lead pharmacy tech who is a tall middle eastern man is by far the rudest, non-empathetic, disrespectful pharmacist I have ever encountered. I highly recommend patients dropping off prescriptions to find another CVS pharmacy to fill medication. read more

Just left the store about 30min. ago and would like to thank Connie and the guy with glasses who was stocking a shelf and helped me without hesitancy. Connie checked me out at the front and was very sweet and respectful. She made my checkout experience pleasant (I've been to other locations where they are very young and very rude and makes you want to get out as soon as possible) again, not the case with Connie's assistance. =) I like to give great reviews when they are deserved. read more

Called in a prescription at 8:30am for a 5:00pm pickup. Showed up at 5:15pm and the prescription was not ready. Why provide the service if you can't perform it.
