This CVS is conveniently local and usually well-stocked, but the customer experience is hit or miss. The manager here makes me really uncomfortable -- he gets way too close, swings between overly friendly and oddly stern, and the whole vibe feels forced. I never know which version of him I'm going to get, and honestly, I hope he's not working when I walk in. The self-checkout almost never works with coupons, it constantly freezes at procesing payment. Every time it happens, he rings me up at the normal register but says my phone number very loudly, which feels like a big privacy issue. And the staff gives attitude if you choose the regular line instead of the broken machines. This review is for the pharmacy. Had an RX on auto refill, somehow they dropped my cell from their notifications system. My filled meds sat there for 8 days, no call/text. Finally I realized they hadn't notified me so I went in to store (bc it's totally impossible to get anyone on the phone). Pharmacy clerk told me my RX had not been picked up and was returned to stock so I asked if she can pls refill it and I'll pick it up when it's ready. She told me no that I'd have to wait until next month to get my NEXT months refill and that I'd have to skip a month wth?!! She said it was "policy". I told her where to stick it. So I called my dr and had her move my RX to a privately owned small pharmacy and it's been two years and I'm VERY HAPPY with Specialty Care Pharmacy. CVS pharmacy is the worst!! read more

This pharmacy is TERRIBLE!!!! I had medication I needed on the 22nd of the month, I go to pick it up (on a Sunday ) they tell me "we don't order the medication until the day it is due " huh ? So my doctor prescribed me a medication to be picked up on a certain date and they decide they won't even order it to have it ready on the date I'm supposed to pick it up . Today, my husband called the store from his phone and asked the manager to go have them pharmacy pick up while I was on hold 40 minutes. She said "sorry our systems are down." Really? I explained to her why am I being prescribed this and all of a sudden she puts her hand up to her face like omg I'm sorry I've been having a really bad migraine. Then once she has her moment she asks me again and then she gets amnesia again. She comes back from complaining again and I see her on her phone googling the information. She then says you know what I'm feeling terrible right now can I give you a call to provide the answer. I live right across the street and have been coming to the CVS since middle school I am now in college. Recently, there has been a change in management and there is a new woman who I believe might be the store manager. She has black short hair and has glasses. Every time me and my sister's go to CVS we notice that she follows us around the store and watches us. It makes us feel uncomfortable. Whenever we are walking around looking at the make up or the snack section, she immediately notices us and rushes to the area we are in. She insists on helping us and I've declined every time and when I do decline her help, she gives me a dirty look and continues to stay in the area and keep an eye on us .I don't appreciate the way we are being treated I've been a customer for years and I think it's unfair to judge people based on just how they look. read more

I always went to Privately owned Pharmacies thinking I was getting a more personalized service. But since coming to this CVS Pharmacy, I haven't had a single issue getting my medications. It's been very easy coming in & getting excellent service. Never any huge lines & wait times are given in advance. Store is kept clean & organized. Really glad there was a Manager change. The old Manager would follow people around the store, treating almost everyone, like thieves. The current staff is amazing, everyone is friendly, helpful & approachable. Only 1 problem. Since the chairs are now being used for Covid testing or immunizations, there needs to be set up new chairs for prescription waiters. When I was there last & had a nice wait, I needed to sit down & had nowhere to sit. The empty chairs behind the curtains weren't used the entire time I was there. Kind of annoying. read more

I just had one of the worst experiences with the manager here no wonder there's an extremely high turnover rate at this location because their management is the rudest person with absolutely zero personality should never be working a register nor should he be insulting customers in front of other customers and putting the blame on everyone else I was actually having a perfectly fine interaction with the new employee however she doesn't know what to do when for some reason only half of the amount went through on my credit card. come to find out later something went through on my card and I didn't have the amount I thought I had. So I went to pay with my debit card and it wouldn't let me pay and the manager came over and rudely said we don't allow partial payment with a debit card and I said that's not really what I was trying to do I'm just trying to finish the transaction And because I couldn't pay with my debit card they got my information and put the stuff on hold and then when I came back to pay the remaining amount he wanted me to pay the whole thing all over again so that means that I now have to wait for the amount to be refunded back onto my card to get the amount after his cashier told me I would only be owing a certain amount and that is the amount I came back with in cash. But he said things in the most condescending rude disrespectful way I have ever been spoke to by somebody that supposed to be in customer service I have been coming to the CVS I know it's not the greatest and yeah I've had some pretty bad customer service but for the most part it's just broken employees because of really crappy management! And this experience just proved to me as a business major why things were so horrible here. Besides I've actually worked at places that use the same point-of-sale system and you can just put an entire order on hold and start a second order while you continue to use the same point-of-sale system for a different transaction. But he thought he would feel really cool by trying to make me feel dumb however not only did he look really stupid everybody behind me was shaking their head at him when I left giving me the eyes of oh my gosh what a POS... I've been to this CVS quite a few times since I moved to this neighborhood last year. Every time, I was assisted professionally and friendly. The pharmacy girls are all very kind and helpful, the manager Neema helped me patiently and in details... Today I went there again, the only cashier Jeannette made a special effort to show me where the items are, and then, when I was paying, she kept vey nice conversation with me while she was efficiently and professionally finishing the check out task. I came into this CVS on 7/10/23 looking for a specific item that's hard to find in stores. The app said they had some in stock but I couldn't find any at the display. An employee stopped what he was doing and took 10 minutes to look through 17 bins of makeup to find in the last bin the last 2 tubes of makeup I was looking for! This pharmacy is a joke. Anytime you call to speak with a pharmacist or tech it's over a 30 minute wait (if you're in the store you will always see staff ignoring the phones). I had them fill a script for me that I was going to have to pay out of pocket which I told them, check to see if med is filled just to see that they canceled it. Went into the store because I couldn't get them by phone, asked them why they canceled it. They said beacUse it wasn't covered by my insurance, which I said yes I know and I told you I was still going to pay for it out of pocket. Then they say it's out of stock. Great. Thanks for canceling without my approval. Asked them to transfer my meds to Walmart, they said Walmart has to call, to which I ask how can they call you when you guys don't answer the phone? Employee just shrugs. 2 days later that one med is finally transferred. I've been requesting my other 2 meds to be transferred for a week and you guessed it, still no transfer. read more

So far impressed with the online and in-store photography services. If you need same day pictures or picture products, they produce quality work within an hour of two of placing an online order. It's super convenient to go in and pickup the photos since they keep them behind the first cash register. Just stand in line and they will ring you up. Just went in to return an extra Covid home test I purchased. I was helped by Jeanette. I originally paid with my debit card but she would not give me cash back. So now I'm waiting for the bank to tell me when my money is delivered. Too bad I needed to pick up additional merchandise there but I guess I'll wait and spend my money elsewhere. Very inconvenient not to get my money immediately back. Also cashier working at the register next to me was not wearing a mask at all. I asked Janette if masks were still required in Ventura county and she replied yes. So what the fuck is going on at this store where people are coming in to get vaccinated and tested and the cashiers aren't even wearing a mask when it's required. BUT....."service" is totally questionable, note: 11/17/21 - received text message my RX is ready. 11/17/21 - went to pharmacy and was told, the truck did not bring in RX. 11/18/21 - received text RX on order 11/26/21 - I called again, message said RX should be in on 11/29 @ 8:55 PM 11/26/21 - after holding 11 minutes - lady said they would transfer my RX to the Oak Park location & I can pick up there. SUGGESTION: when you are on the phone pretend the customer is standing in front of you. SUGGESTION: when you do not have a RX - why not contact other pharmacies and ask for one of theirs? Let me tell ya a little bit about the unbelievably terrible customer service we received at the CVS pharmacy today. After leaving the ER with a bacterial infection this morning, we stopped to drop off two prescriptions from the ER doc. The prescriptions came attached, with a perforated middle but not separated. When handed the RX, the tech said she thought the date read 2014 on one of the RX's. The other she read as 2019. Considering we had all the paperwork from the hospital showing prescriptions and the fact the prescription paperwork was still attached, it's pretty evident these are brand new scripts. Well not to this rude tech. She said, nope it says 2014. She said the pharmacist concurred. So, they refused to fill one of the prescriptions. And she was so freakin rude about it! We took the rx to the CVS by our house in Wood Ranch, which they filled immediately and laughed when we told them about the date issue...and best part, the pharmacist told us "if you had asked me if you should go to that pharmacy, I would have told you absolutely no". Yea, no joke!!! Next call, CVS corporate. read more

The absolute worst pharmacy ever. First syncing my Rx correctly is something that should be easily done, but No, they tell me my meds won't be ready until literally three weeks after I run out. What? Who is doing the math? Then I call up and the girl tells me I "have to come in today to pick-up my med". Why? I don't need them now. I will need them in about two weeks. I want to pick them up when I need them and when my other med will be needed-hence SyncScript! Then it appears they locked me out of my account somehow and needed customer online care to assist. Ridiculous and a waste of time. Someone needs to train and manage this place better. Get a clue. read more

CVS employees are wonderful. But the pharmacy is so understaffed that they have lost my pharmacy business. Super-glitchy refill process, but when I try to get help, it's a 1 hour hold time for pharmacy every time I call, and their online prescription portal goes down for days at a time. No thanks. Switched all my prescriptions to Amazon Pharmacy. CVS needs to level up if they want to stay in business. read more

If you love living a nightmare, come on down to CVS on Avenida De Los Arboles to have your prescription filled. Football and dance injury supplies! :-) This is a fairly good CVS located in the Lang Ranch area off the 23 in Thousand Oaks. There's plenty if parking in the lot, and lots of shady trees to hide the car under. The store is well stocked and the staff are friendly enough, it never seems to get busy so no need to wait in line at the checkout. There is a good selection of groceries for that late night wine grab, also a good selection if first aid for those football injuries which is why we went in. For those blisters pick up some moleskin pads and neosporin, clears them up fast for the next game. Think I'll be coming a lot from now on. Good job! read more

Went here to have two prescriptions filled... Dropped them off about 5 and came back about 7 to find out that the pharmacist on first shift had taken home the key where my prescriptions were kept and that she would be coming back before 9 but they didn't know exactly when. No one called before I drove out there to get it to warn me.... No one ever apologized for the inconvenience.... Pitiful. Also, when I was dropping off my script the pharmacist was loudly whining that she was only half way through her shift. A line of customers could see. read more

Save yourself some time and a lot of hassle and go to any other pharmacy but this one. I have yet to go there without them needing to order any various prescription I give them and they can't even manage that properly. They've ordered medicine and ordered the wrong quantity, conveniently leaving you with the option of waiting another few days or missing one or two pills from a controlled substance. As an added bonus you get the excitement of watching them sit around listening to headphones instead of mixing your child's antibiotic. There are a lot of other CVS pharmacies nearby...use any of them instead. read more
