I'm in a hurry but no problem, I'm first in line and they'll be open in 1 minute. The gates open and I'm told to come up to the counter, awesome! I'm not going to be late). Then the lady can't log on to the system (something about the system is glitchy in the morning). So she calls her coworker over to log into the terminal next to her. She comes over, logs in no problem, then calls the person in line behind me. The lady that's helping me says to her, you should help him and she say I already called someone else (I'm literally standing right in front of her). Then she helps the guy and instead of helping me, she leaves and my lady still can't log on. I was wondering where the hidden camera was considering the total incompetence surely had to be a fake. Extremely rude older lady working the cash register. Went in this morning to buy some lactaid pills and use their restroom. One of my friends managed to use to bathroom, but when I tried using it, the door automatically locked! The hours on the door said 9am-6pm. Went to ask the older lady on the register, told us "they're locked until 11am." When we tried explaining to her they were unlocked and the time on the door said they were open at 9am, she told us "you're lying. They ARE NOT open, and there's no way to open them until 11am." It wasn't a huge deal, we just wanted to use the bathroom and tried explaining that to her. We just did NOT appreciate the blatant disrespect for customers. read more

I have been with CVS for years and I must say, rather than their services improving, it has been deteriorating. Their automated system is horrible. They send me messages that are cryptic. If I put stuff on auto reorder, it still asks me if I want the prescription filled. I might as well NOT put it on auto reorder. I was getting more efficient service when I was still talking to the human pharmacists !! I used to love the CareBucks. I got a nice cash back reward after I purchase a certain level. Until recently... when you started awarding them in fractions of a dollar. They're CareBucks.. root word Buck... they're not CareCents !!!!! When I used to get, say, a $5 CareBuck coupon, I could buy something with it !!! Now theoretically I have to accumulate my coupons until I have enough to buy something. BUT THE DARN THINGS HAVE DIFFERENT EXPIRATION DATES !!! My guess is some genius in marketing said "if we do it in fractions of a dollar then people will forget they have coupons and we'll be paying out less" !! Oh and FYI, the absolute cheapest item in the store was 99cents and it was on sale. So you REALLY need at least a Buck to buy something. The last time I was in my store to pick up a refill.. there was one (1) person in pharmacy. And there were 6 people behind me in the line. There were probably three associates in the whole store !!! CVS has three large stores in Camarillo within about 2 miles of each other. I shudder to think that all of them operate the same way. Yeah, three stores all undermanned. What's wrong with that picture !!! Don't get me wrong, I'm a loyal customer. I like my pharmacists. We know each other's names ! They are very nice and used to be the best pharmacy. I dunno what happened in 2022 but there hasn't been a single month that I haven't had to go multiple times, each month to ask where my prescriptions are. Then I apparently have to help them figure out how to fill a prescription (cuz I guess they can't call doctors offices anymore, I had to wait days and days to hear nothing from cvs just go in and be told I have to call the Dr) It's been two weeks and they can't seem to figure out how to fill this medication, a med they've been filling every month for two years!!! All of a sudden this year they can't get it together. Go to this store to shop, but don't waste your time with the pharmacy. Staff at pharmacy are very helpful! I had a few medications that needed filling in which was very costly. One of the staff (a woman, wish a could remember her name) working advised me to look up the medications up and type coupon and BAM it saved for over 50% off!! Instead of $300 it cost around $120. THANK YOU!! The pharmacy off Santa Rosa Rd in Camarillo would have NEVER done something like this! In fact, that's where I originally would go for my prescriptions! The pharmacy staff aren't nearly as nice nor helpful! So now I get my prescriptions filled at the CVS pharmacy off Carmen now. read more

I like this branch of CVS; the employees are friendly, but the pharmacy leaves a lot to be desired. The wait times can be unreasonable. The management at this branch needs to either provide more staffing for the pharmacy, or implement a better system of communicating with pharmacy patients. I don't mind waiting longer to receive my prescription, as long as I'm notified. I've waited in line several times for 20 minutes, or longer, only to be told that my prescription still wasn't ready. If my prescription is going to take several hours to fill, don't tell me that I can come back in 20 minutes. Of, if you promise a 20 minute wait time, and can't keep that promise, call me, or send me a text, to notify me of the delay. I'm happy to come back later, or the next day, I just don't want to wait in line two times in the same day for the same prescription. read more

Pharmacy lady just hung up on me. After 2 minutes on hold, she comes on and asks if I can hold because there is a customer in line, I say okay. After another 5 minutes, she comes back and says there is one customer in line and asks me to hold again before I could answer I was put on hold. After another 5 minutes she comes back on line and says 3 customers are in line and asks me to hold, but I just told her I just wanted to authorize my wife to pick up the medicine, who was in the store. She just says "okay" and proceeds to hang up without taking any info. Idiocy. Either she doesn't care, can't handle the stress, doesn't know how to communicate, and/or CVS has shitty training or a poor system for handling customers when it gets busy. She needs to get fired. I am so thankful for this CVS being open 24 hours. The staff there is also very friendly and helpful and there is always someone around to assist with everything. I had recently purchased this amazingly gorgeous table and chairs there, for my outside patio ofcourse, and had seen it a few times until I finally decided that I must have it! The sales representatives were so helpful and carried it out to my car as well which would have been impossible for me to do on my own. If you need to make photos they have updated the photo department here and it's gone from a zero to a ten. The best part...ONLINE ORDERING, can you believe it? It's so easy to point and click exactly what you want done, then indicate where you want to pick it up, and BAM it's there and waiting! Treated very poorly by staff when ordering photos. We were asked to return in an hour, we did so only to be told "we must have lost order, order again and come back in an hour." My wife said she didn't appreciate waiting another hour and didn't have time to do that today... The employees response was an attitude filled suggestion to come back another day. I must write on my wonderful experience at this CVS on Carmen Dr in Camarillo. I had shopped at a different CVS in 91304 (where I live), and stocked up on some of my favorite facial care items while they were discounted. The sale was buy 1 and get another for 1/2off, and when spending $15 get CVS $5reward. I purchased 4 items thinking I would get a total reward of $10, but as I used the first $5 on the second transaction, it did not earn $5 more because the first $5reward made it under $15. I didn't press the matter at this time, but it was bothering me, as I wanted to buy at least two more but wanted more $5rewards. The next day, I was working nearby Camarillo, and still had my purchase with receipt in my car. I ended up at the CVS on Carmen Dr with a friend, and asked the cashier, Rebecca, if I could return items for my full payment with the intention of purchasing them back in a different order and buying more items. She was very welcoming of my transactions, and made it very easy to do exactly what I wanted to do. I arrived with 4 items with $5 earned, and left with 6 items with $10 earned. I was so happy that I had what I wanted, and that my way of obtaining it was allowed. I love this CVS!!! read more

I changed my medicare RX plan and in order to get the best price need to use CVS. This was a difficult choice as I previously had used one of the Burts pharmacy's in Thousand Oaks. (Incredible customer service). Having used CVS before I knew it could be iffy. I went to the CVS on Arneill which is the closest to my home. What a disaster. Pharmacy was not going to assist in any way. I had used the CVS on Carmen for misc items at Christmas and found the store staff to be very helpful. I drove over there honestly expecting them to say it couldn't be done. My prescriptions needed refill approval from my physician. I was assisted by Adrian Q. Immediately he had a smile and asked how he could assist. As I explained my situation I kept waiting for him to say no it couldn't be done. Instead he said "no problem". WHAT! Customer Service at it's best! He along with Trish, and Stephanie were surprised that the other CVS refused to even try and help. My prescriptions were filled prior to closing last night! This store gets an "A+" If I could do something nice for them I would. Some people have said they think this store needs revamping. This is THE SLOWEST pharmacy I have ever been to. Every single time I've gone in to pick up a monthly prescription, I've waited at least thirty minutes in the pharmacy line to pick it up. There have been multiple times where I've had to leave without my prescription because it takes so incredibly long! They really need to hire more pharmacy techs - there's no reason for it to take that long when there's more than one register available for people to be helped at. read more

Worse customer service. The manager "Jenny" tonight was not responding to the cashier calling for emergency help at the register. The cashier had to run to the back to find her. She didn't answer any of the intercom calls or me yelling through the double doors in receiving. The cashier finally found her somewhere in the back and she didn't even look like she cared that people were waiting for 15 minutes. How can you allow a manager to run a store that has no sense of urgency and to STAY ON THE FLOOR IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY!!!! Where's the common sense at 9:30pm. She immediately ran to the back again to attend to something that was more important than taking care of the customers or to make the cashier feel better. Also: The cashier was super stressed and scared that she wasn't anywhere to be found. You can't allow this manager to be in charge and putting the employees safety at risk. This pharmacy is fine except for photos. The store ppl don't know how to handle passport photos. For my child, the first time they printed me a blur photo and next time it was face turned little side. And photo was cut from neck up, without shoulder. They said it would be fine for passport as the rules are little relaxed for kids. But that wasn't the case for me. They rejected the application and I have to redo all-over again. This time, I went to Costco and they did a good job for $5. Along side the price is also too much, around $13 for 2 prints. Wasted money there. Don't go there for passport. Seems like they are not trained to take passport photos. read more

This is the 2nd time this has happened at CVS. I brought my prescription in and the head pharmacist made a copy for me ...after the incident last... he was supposed to fill it 2/24/2016. I never received a call no text nothing. I personally go in a ask for the scripts that have been ready for over a week. They stated that there is no scripts for me. When I pointed out the head pharmacist that made the copy we heard him say I remember something like that...but my scripts are no where to be found. CVS said they called my doctor twice. I spoke with my doctor she said they never called and she can't re write the scripts even after they verified the order was never filled. Really? So I guess I have to do their job...find my copy. .file a police report request the footage from the day I came in with the script and go after CVS for neglect, pain and suffering. Wow read more
