A Walgreens like any other Walgreens. Reliable. You know what to expect. I'm so glad that they had the Systane Dry Eye Relief drops. Unlike another pharmacy that I went to (don't remember the name now but it wasn't a chain). Allegedly, it's long lasting relief. That's what it says on the label. Nope. My eyes felt dry within minutes. I should have bought two bottles instead of one. Southern California is ridiculously dry, windy, and dusty. Even close to the ocean, SoCal is too dry. This is the wet winter season in Northern California, and it never gets so dry near the ocean in the summer in NorCal because of the thick cloud cover from the marine layer. I saw a Walgreens photo coupon on IG and was like- yeah I do wanna print some photos. I put in the print order easily online and they were ready within two hours. Staff member quickly greeted me and I was in and out with my photos within literally a minute or two. Even though I just popped in quickly, the store looked really clean and organized. I didn't look at the photos until I got home and one of them looks like the contrast was off but the other looked fine. So I would just recommend to look at your prints before you head out ;) read more

I used to think they were a good business, till a couple of weeks ago. I had a really bad asthma attack and had to go to urgent care for a breathing treatment with a nebulizer. I'm 60 yrs and this is the third time this has happened, ever. I had changed the air filter in my furnace and intake without thinking I should have put on a face mask. I'm allergic to a few things: dust, cats, feathers, lanolin. I unintentionally inhaled the dust. An hour later, I started having trouble breathing, using my emergency inhaler all night long till I finally realized I needed more help, called in sick to work, and got myself to an urgent care. After administering a breathing treatment with a nebulizer, the doctor gave me a perscription for breathing treatments with a nebulizer that I could use at home, as well as a different inhaler and prednisone. CVS always fills my perscriptions, but they didn't have a nebulizer. So I went to Walgreens with my filled perscription medication. This medication is used in a nebulizer to administer the medication. The pharmacist at Walgreens informed me I needed a perscription for a nebulizer and refused to sell me one of theirs, even though I had the perscription with me and the medication freshly filled from CVS less than 30 minutes before. Why? Good question. I think they make their money on the medication, not the nebulizer. They refused to help me because I didn't buy my perscription medication there. This was on a Monday. I went to a supply store in Westlake, but they had closed. I ordered a nebulizer on line. By Thursday, I had lost my voice and had to work a counter in pain, coughing, explaining to my coworkers and management that I am not contagious. You can't catch asthma and allergies. I finally got a nebulizer through Amazon without having to prove I have a perscription, but had to wait a while as they are not a frequently purchased item. I still haven't regained full use on my voice. The coughing and asthma attacks have stopped. I just want my voice back. Thanks, Walgreens. My, my you are greedy! read more

hello. I went in for an interview to be a temp cashier. I am always early and I dress appropriately. there was absolutely no one in the store accept for 2 employees, which were very polite.the general manager came to get me, I won't say names. we went into the office and he asked, "what are you looking for to get from working here?" I said, I know it is a temp job but I would like to move upward. then he asked me, "why have you had so many jobs? that's a major red flag for someone in my position. either you don't care and dont show up, or there's something "wrong with you that you can't keep a job " . BEWARE: adderall supplier has changed--what was filled here as "generic adderall xr" 2 weeks ago (supplier: Lannett) was NOT what I've been taking for more than a year! Only thing that changed was the supplier for Walgreens. Extreme heart palps and numbness in extremities. Had to stop cold-turkey over the holiday which was extremely difficult but as soon as I did the symptoms stopped too. I could not get a pharmacist to speak to me, unfortunately. Also sad that I paid $140 for a bogus med that I had to stop after for 3 days. Bye bye adderall and PLEASE be careful if you're a fellow ADD struggler. I'd literally give this pharmacy 0 stars if I could. I've never NOT had an issue each time I go to pick up my medication. They've "lost my phone number in the system" multiple times, they've accidentally put my prescription under my MOTHER (thank god she's related to me because that could've been a very dangerous mess up on the pharmacy's end), they've lost my providers refill requests, they don't have my prescription ready even if I wait a week from when my provider sent in the refill. Then they told me I needed to call every time so they could get my prescription filled BUT THEY DONT EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE. I'm a college student, and the amount of gas money and time I've wasted going back and forth with this pharmacy is ridiculous. I am literally writing this review while I've been on hold for almost 30 minutes. When I've confronted them about some of these issues before, they've been short and rude in response. I absolutely can't abide when the person, supposedly providing the service, interrupts to fire a question back. Why is it always a female who does that? We called on the phone. All we wanted to know was, if we could give insurance info in advance because we are sick and shouldn't have to sit there infecting everyone else, while they peck around on their computer. "Hello, my doctor just called in a prescription--" "What's your name?" [He says his name] "We don't have nothing for you." (Bad grammar is theirs.) "All I want to know is, if I can give insurance info in adva--" "Have you been here before?" "No, you're the only ones in the area who have it in st--" "No, unless there's a prescription here for you, we can't do it. You have to come in and do it." "Ok then, good bye..." Click Now our doctor is pissed off. Here's an exact excerpt of his text. "If those halfwits still haven't found it (call them again), G can start off tonite by using a dose of yours." Yep this pharmacy has a great reputation with patients AND doctors. Worse, they don't care if we are sick and miserable, just that we interrupted the job they're paid to do. We are sick. Don't use their photo developing services! I dropped a disposable camera off to them on February 23rd. Very sentimental pictures that my daughter took years ago. I got a text yesterday, from a complete stranger that Walgreens shipped him my camera. Wtf?! He was kind and honest enough to return the camera to Walgreens. So I went today to pick up the photos. Nothing developed just my camera in the same envelope I sealed it in over a week ago. Terrible terrible terrible service. The photo guy asked if I wanted to develop the photos. Pharmacy is woefully understaffed. Tried to call to check the status of a prescription because it was not coming up on the automated system. Waited on hold for 10+ minutes only to be hung up on. Called back and have been on hold for 10 minutes more and someone keeps picking up, saying nothing, and puts me back on hold. After a number of bad experiences here, I'll be moving all my prescriptions over to Burt's Pharmacy. read more

Only Pharmacy allowed by my insurance, but on this visit multiple issues: * The prescription I actually needed was not the one they called about and they didn't have that full quantity to fill * the manufacturer copay card no longer worked even though I had used it before and it hadn't expired or the allowance used so had a $200 copay * my Walgreens reward program no longer existed even though I had used it for prior prescriptions, so I guess won't earn any rewards * had enrolled in their program to sync prescriptions but they have never been synched and get calls a week apart for different meds There appears to be almost nothing that their systems get right. This location is seriously so bad, the only reason we use this pharmacy instead of CVS is they are the only local pharmacy with a drive-thru. The most recent annoyances- - the pharmacy literally never answers the phone (one time I let it ring for 30 minutes, another time 10 minutes...) and the automated system doesn't always have the answers you need or work correctly. - we never got an alert that my husband's antibiotics were ready and, like I said, no one answers the phone, so I finally just drove there. Turns out they weren't ready because they only had one bottle of the ear drops that were prescribed and were planning to text us in a day or two when the second bottle came in. I would think that a pharmacist would see a prescription for antibiotic pills and antibiotic ear drops and would think to call us, explain the situation, and ask if we wanted to pick up what was available rather than waiting days to start a course of antibiotics, but apparently not. - the COVID testing is a joke. We arrived at our appointment time to discover that the person who does the testing was on a break - what exactly is the point of making an appointment at a specific time then? Once she came back the whole process was tedious, annoying, and took forever, nothing like the seamless process at the old state site in TO that unfortunately shut down recently. It took her nearly 10 minutes to get our paperwork ready (again, not sure why they bother to have you make an appointment if not to prep this in advance), then instructed me to stay in front of the drive-thru window while I administered all the tests. At this point, myself and my 3yo and 5yo kids were subjected to aggressive, hostile, and honestly frightening verbal abuse from the man behind us in line who was upset it was taking so long, and who eventually pulled up beside us in the narrow drive-thru lane to scream expletives at us through the windows (his were open) despite the fact that I explained to him multiple times to take up his issues with the store, not me, as I was just following instructions. I really don't understand why Walgreens doesn't have people who are there for testing pull forward so others can go through the lane for prescription pick-ups. After all that, I got a text from the store that our test samples were ready for us to pick up (???!!!), so I don't even know if they will be sent to the lab for processing or what. I'd call to ask, but see the first point listed above for how successful that will be. read more

We have the same name, same address on my ID, I even had the email my wife sent me directing me to pick up the package and yet they refused to let me pick it up. I'm so sorry that my wife is too busy running a hospital during COVID to deal with your ridiculousness. When my young daughter and I walked into the store we were greeted by a smiling employee. We were there to pick up holiday photo prints so we bee-lined to the photo center. Turns out I had never completed my order the night before ‍ Angie was so patient and helpful. I was able to use the app to submit the order and saw that I was supposed to come back later that night to pick them up. Angie rang me up and said that she would get it done now. Meanwhile several other guests came in asking for help with their holiday cards and prints. Angie took care of all of us simultaneously and only had a positive attitude. I got the prints in minutes and left a super happy customer. There are only a few places that still do in store pick up (vs delivery, which takes weeks). I would like to give a 0 start to cashier Erin. Only guessing on the spelling because she refused to tune her name tag around. Incredibly unpleasant and embarrassing experience trying to buy tobacco, that I won't even go into. However, I came back in to talk to management about my experience after calling and being hung up on by Erin. James was on the sales floor and I basically vented to him and he was great, super friendly and apologized for her, and got Yuri the manager on duty. He was amazing, incredibly friendly and obviously embarrassed about the situation. He offered me store credit, though I did not come for that and honestly did not even realize they could do that. The two guys made me much happier and I left without slandering the business here like I wanted to. I wanted to speak with someone higher up before complaining publicly. The two for sure corrected the situation for me.
