OMG messy!!!! I could feel the germs. Dirt, hair, smudged makeup, fingerprints, kids/teens running around everywhere. I felt like I was visiting a jr high on the last day of school with the chaos. I honestly have never been in a Sephora in this bad of shape. This was also one of the first times I needed help from an actual staff member but no one was available. I was eventually able to find what I needed but even the brand new boxes looked horrible. Like damage you would see at Ross or something. It took awhile to get through the check out line as expected because it was a zoo. The Sephora just a little down the 101 is much more clean and mellow. This location needs help with customer service. The 4rd associate I spoke with asking to purchase a new lip gloss told me they don't have it. It was on display with a spot that could hold 2 glosses for sale. I asked her if she could check her inventory. She said no if it's not out here we don't have it. I asked again & she said no. I walked out. I can order online. This is why people don't go into stores. How can you only have been shipped 2 of a new product. This associate was lazy. They didn't have a few testers out for some shades I wanted to try, but one of the girls looked in the drawer and found me new ones to try, love that they went the extra mile instead of just an "oh well". If I could give less than one star, I would. I realize it's Christmas Eve, and that's why I'm buying last-minute gifts for my daughters from my son who's been sick. I went into your store, and was greeted by a very friendly cashier to ring up my $200 gift card purchases. She kindly informed me they were out of Christmas gift cards so I said birthday cards would be fine. She said,"but I can give you samples," which I thought that was super sweet. When I asked for the samples, the manager of the store came over and was extremely rude. He told her those were not samples to be given out except to match skin tone. When I asked if he had any other samples, he said," listen babe, it's the day before Christmas. What do you expect!" I have never been spoken to more rudely by any retailer that I've ever been to. And I shop A LOT! With as much money as my daughters and I spend with your company each year, I should be leaving with a smile on my face and looking forward to my next return. My fiancée and I stopped by here on Christmas Eve when they first open to look for her perfume. She wanted the irresponsible perfume and couldn't find it in the store so when a employee asked us if we needed any help, she told us they don't carry that brand in store and to try online order through their website. The store is nicely organized and the lighting help make their products stand out. Their perfume and cologne display are nice because they have their own lights to make the bottles stand out. read more

Blake was amazing! I came in looking to buy a gift card but also get some light -medium coverage foundation since I'm not feeling the current one. I asked a floor rep if someone could help me find the right shade and after a short wait (less than 5 minutes, very reasonable) Blake came to assist me. All I can say is WOW she was so kind and was very quick to find my shade and was sure to find a brand within my budget that covered all bases (price, skin type, coverage type). Was very gentle on tester application and walked me through how to apply, helpful advice, even showed me a sunscreen and offered a sample to take home (so kind!!). Blake was very knowledgeable, friendly, understood what I was looking for and I genuinely felt like she was helping me just to help. There was no push for a certain product, and all in all she provided me a very welcoming first proper introduction to foundation. When a lipstick is purchased, one never knows just how it will wear or how the color will look, unless of course it is a repeat purchase. Well, I have this lipstick that is just wonderful so went in search of a few more tubes of something similar. The first person who tried to help was unable to locate the manufacture so she called the manager over. The manager realizing it was from Bare Minerals gave a suggestion to the salesperson who guided me to a display. Nothing was even close and very quickly when realizing a sale wasn't happening, the salesperson went on to help someone else. There are so many lipsticks in this store, more than I could imagine in one place. Not knowing the stock and not wanting to wander aimlessly, I left and went to another store, found a helpful salesperson, and made a purchase. I asked where the hair section is in the store, was told where and had an associate recommended to help. The associate, Amanda, gave some recommendations (they weren't needed, but I let her give her schpiel) but what bothered me the most was that after she had walked away, she then tells me to use apple cider vinegar and water -- why are you telling me this? Do you not want my business??? When checking out, the cashier asked for ID AFTER the credit card transaction was approved -- why?? Like other comments have mentioned, most of the staff is so rude!! Especially one of the male employees. I was making a return for a expensive foundation that I have purchased many times before. When I bought this particular one, I was still finishing up my old one and bought it as I was almost out. When I went to use it I noticed there were what I can describe as "tiny silicone beads" within the foundation that were hard and didn't blend in. I took it in right away a little before 30 days with my receipt. I didn't even know the return policy changed from 60 to 30 days as that's how long I've liked all my products and haven't had to return anything. Upon just walking up to the register I felt unwelcome and uneasy. I was very vulnerable as I didn't have a full face of makeup on and was in sweats and a tee but I felt VERY judged just walking up. Maybe just in my head, who knows. Anyways, I explained I'd like to exchange the foundation for a different one as I think the one I have is defective. He simply says, "you're using the wrong primer sweetheart" in a very condescending tone. How does he know the primer I use? He hasn't asked. I attempted to show him the silicone pieces in the foundation and he proceeds to tell me to try a different primer again. I was so in shock and gaslit that I actually left thinking it was user error on my part and that I was crazy! Came back 2 days later and he was the cashier again. Again the same uneasy feeling in my stomach like I was being judged. I explained to him again, he looked at my receipt and told me I was 2 days late to be within the 30 day window... I was furious. I wasn't even trying to return the product. Just wanted a different one as this one was clearly defective! Wasting money sucks. Also I don't think he's a manager (I sure hope not) but he was micromanaging every other employee at the cash wrap and you could tell they were annoyed. So cringe. read more

I visited Sephora yesterday to return an item and I just wanted to highlight the exceptionally good job this store is doing at the Oaks Mall for ensuring everyone's safety during COVID. The store was at its capacity, from what I presume even though the store wasn't filled to the brim, and I was frequently checked on by the attendant at the front. I was able to enter when the next client left the store. One additional thing that the store did was bring out any specific item to ring out for clients who did not want to enter the store, making the process even more swift and safe. I wish I could rate this location as a zero. Upon walking in the store smelled of sulfur (rotten eggs). I was greeted by an associate who wasn't making eye contact with anyone, very superficial. Why have him there? Next, I walked through the entire store and none of the many sales associates asked if I needed help. No one said anything and there were at least 7-8 of them standing around. Once I found the line I was searching for, I was stunned to see they had almost zero stock available. The testers were dry and unusable. Just a horrible experience. I can not understand all of the negative reviews I just read, I feel like I just entered the Twilight Zone. I could not have had a more positive experience. Jocelyne was AMAZING. I am a 50 yr old crossdresser and usually feel very uncomfortable going to women's clothing sections or looking at the women's shoe section and this was my first venture for makeup. As soon as I walked in, Jocelyne greeted me and I immediately made me feel welcome, comfortable and calm. I explained to her what I was looking for (as told by a couple for friends), she asked me a couple of questions to gather more detailed information then had me sit down in the chair at the makeup center. She asked about foundation coverage and when I shrugged my shoulders, she said that she would do one side of my face one way and the other side another so that I could see the difference. All of my fears and reservations including any discomfort melted away. Jocelyne was very warm, friendly, professional, kind, sweet and so incredibly patient. When I jokingly stated that I bet she doesn't get to many guys coming into the store, she said that I would be surprised and they get quite a few, again making me feel very comfortable. She is a true representation of a precious gem of a human being. I asked to speak to the manager and as soon as Laura came up, I told her everything I listed above and said that she had better hold on to this one because Jocelyne is a gem and that is was very obvious that she was not there just for a paycheck and that she truly and generally cares about her work and her clients. Laura's attitude and demeanor was the same as Jocelyne's and was a pleasure to talk to her as well I don't live very close and was only in the area because my oldest son had an appointment. After the appointment, we figured why not walk around the mall for a while. When we passed by the store and saw that it wasn't busy, I figured why not check it out (especially since there weren't very many people in the store). However, because of the extraordinary service I received, I will not go to any other Sephoria not matter how close. Jocelyne and her manager Laura have a dedicated and loyal customer. Very disappointed with the service I ask this guy that works there for something they didn't have. Instead of helping me make a better decision he told me I didn't have a correct mask on. Clearly he is an expert in Covid and knows the surgical masks protect more. I bought a bottle of Amazing Grace Lotion and put it away until I needed it. When I started using it I noticed the smell was "off". At first I thought it was me but when I went to Sephora I checked their display and decided it was my product. Next time I took my bottle to exchange thinking it would be no problem to exchange -not return. Joke was on me. I did not have a receipt, they could find my purchase but it was past 30 days. Sephora's solution - give it away or toss, I reached out to Philosphy, a few emails and pictures and they are replacing my purchase with a recommendation to buy their product from them. This is to compliment the staff member at Sephora who helped me today, and has helped me numerous times in the past with samples, suggestions and applications. She is mature with short silver hair and is just lovely, plus she knows her products! Always a plus in retail when you go in and the person knows everything in store. You know you are dealing with a professional sales person. I would strongly recommend next time you are looking for a certain product or an idea to ask for her assistance. She is absolutely wonderful! I hope the manager realizes what a treasure she is. That aside I would suggest the store manager ensures the areas with makeup applicators, sponges, makeup remover, etc are kept tidier. I usually have to tour the store trying to find cotton wool or a container of makeup remover that isn't empty.That is the only negative I can think of. Customer service is usually great, even when they are slammed. Love the samples and the computerized info on products you can get on screen/printed. Like it when they are out of stock of a certain product they can ship to your home/the store for free if you pay for it instore. I had to do an exchange for a moisturizer that wasn't working out for me and really wanted advice on retinol. I let a beauty expert know that I wanted to speak to a skin specialist so she checked me in. I waited like 5-10 mins as i was looking for a less oily moisturizer. The skin specialists name is Amber and she was so helpful and knowledgeable! She answered ALL of my questions and concerns about retinol and recommended a retinol product for me. After our conversations about skincare she said that Sephora was doing a promotion like thing that if you spend $75+ dollars you get a free "hydro facial" and asked if i would like one. I was like are you kidding me? Yes! So not only did i get what i was looking for I got the most lovely hydrating facial! She was great and I'll definitely go back to her once the facials start rolling out at Sephora, and whenever I need advice on a product. I was very well taken care of and enjoyed my visit! read more

I'm a fan because sephora is a wonderland for adults who love make up and anything cosmetic. I recently had an issue with make up purchased from here. Not because it was sephora's fault but I had a bad reaction to the make up suggested to me. Only thing I wish the girl would have been a little more well versed with make up compatible with sensitive skin. I had mentioned it to her that I have to be careful what I put on my face for that reason and I still ended up having a problem. Other then that, you can find everything here!
